Unspeakable bubbles

"three"

"two"

"one!"

"Hmm, it seems Leomon is quite skilled. Rock to scissors, Leomon wins!"

"What's wrong? Aren't you going to use your full strength?"

The old lion swished its tail idly. "Worried about hurting me? There's no need for that."

"..."

Koderai was silent for a while, and finally, she shook her head.

"I could tell that she was afraid."

“You hurt her just now, even though no one has ever seen her before.”

"I don't want you to get hurt, and I especially don't want her to get hurt by you."

"Third place... is already very good."

"Oh dear, it seems that Koderai has just declared defeat?"

"Well, in short, the competition isn't over yet, the countdown has begun!"

"three,"

"two,"

"one!"

"..."

"Lion Beast throws a punch, Koderai throws scissors."

"I declare Leomon the winner!"

"Oh, finally we're going to get serious."

The old lion adjusted his magic hat: "Bubble, of all the contestants, you are the only one who gives me a sense of uncertainty."

"Grandpa, you really are Bubble's final opponent."

"If I beat you, Bubble will be the champion of the rock-paper-scissors contest!"

"Ow!"

The old lion dared not be careless and cast a telepathic spell on the little girl in front of him before the referee started the countdown.

No feedback, is it invalid?

The old lion's heart stirred. It took off its magician's hat and pulled out a magnificent staff from inside.

"Stop, stop, stop, Leomon, what are you doing?"

"Referee, everyone is playing their best in this match!"

The staff touched the ground, and with a strong, mysterious fluctuation, the world 'froze'.

Petty, the mentors watching the competition, the audience...

Everyone remained standing there, looking surprised and motionless.

"So, in my 'still world,' can you still resist?"

"The old man is bragging!"

The little girl said with a smile, "'Still World' is too difficult a skill, grandpa, you can't use it at all."

"This is... an external silencing barrier plus a paralysis barrier, right?"

"Well"

When the little girl saw right through his trick, even someone as thick-skinned as an old lion felt a little embarrassed.

"Well, as long as it works, that's fine."

"Now that there are no referees rushing us to start the game, can we have a proper chat?"

"What do you want to talk about?"

"Bubble, why... do you possess such profound martial arts skills?"

The old lion asked solemnly, "You are already a super strong person, aren't you!"

"Yes."

The little girl scratched her head: "Didn't Grandpa already know about this when he came to pick Bubble up for school?"

"Why are you asking this again now?"

"Uh"

The lion froze, its expression one of astonishment.

"I...I knew all along?"

"Yes, yes."

"..."

"Just to confirm, Bubble, aren't you the talented kid I discovered by chance when I was passing by Sain?"

The little girl shook her head repeatedly: "No, grandpa, you were entrusted by the royal family to come to the territory to pick up Bubble and take her to Laplace Academy!"

The old lion's first reaction was that the little girl was lying, but soon he thought of his 'defected' disciple.

'Could it be that my memories of bubbles have been altered?'

'But why exactly?'

"Grandpa, grandpa."

"Let's start the game quickly!"

"Now is not the time for the competition; in fact, the rock-paper-scissors contest is no longer important."

"Bubble, I hope you can cooperate with me..."

"what!"

"Grandpa, this won't do."

"Bubble has been looking forward to the rock-paper-scissors contest for so long, and Bubble is about to win the championship. Grandpa, why are you suddenly saying 'it doesn't matter' or something..."

The little girl snapped her fingers, and the high-level composite barrier suddenly cracked open.

"Ouch!"

What just happened?

My hands are so numb.

"Where's the match?"

"..."

"Leomon, you are now standing on the field, no matter what."

"Please finish your own match first."

Although Petty couldn't move, he wasn't affected by the silence barrier because he was standing on the field.

She heard everything the two (?) were saying. While she was amazed by the little girl's strength and the true identity of Leomon, Patty still faithfully fulfilled her referee duties.

"Leomon, I'm about to start the countdown."

"..."

The old lion immediately showed a helpless expression. Why are they all like this?

Yes, this competition is huge and the prizes are incredibly high, but we should prioritize things, right?

"Please be quiet for a moment."

The staff slammed heavily on the ground, and the barrier was once again in place.

"Bubble, don't rush, let's deal with the problem at hand first."

The old lion frowned: "What did I say when I went to pick you up? What exactly happened back then?"

"Bubble..."

"Grandpa!"

The little girl's braids trembled slightly: "Let's talk about it after the competition."

"Hey!"

Bubble clapped his hands, and the barrier shattered with a crash.

"No, no, no, I think we should do what needs to be done first."

With a tap of the staff, the barrier opened once more.

"Bubble wants to compete!"

"boom!"

"Why is this little girl so naughty? Open the barrier!"

"Grandpa, you're the naughty one!"

"boom!"

"Sigh, I have absolutely no interest in the competition right now."

"Activate the barrier!"

"At that time, the old man said he would take Bubble over to school and that he would put her through some kind of test, but there was nothing of the sort."

"boom!"

"Really? I have a feeling something special happened..."

"rise!"
