Duels should be played with a smile.

"I'll destroy my flying swordsman on the field!"

"And the card I'm looking for... is this one!"

"【Entertainment Partners with Different Eyes Phoenix】!"

Chapter 44 I'll Bet My Life With You! 6K, Bounty 17

"Let me show you the possibilities of Pendulum Summoning!"

"I'll set the heterochromatic phoenix in my hand to the pendulum scale!"

The phoenix and the guitar turtle on the other side radiate the unique brilliance of the pendulum, which, for pendulum summoning, is the radiance that awakens miracles.

"Scale 3 and Scale 6? Then you can only perform Pendulum Summoning at LV4 and LV5. What can you do in that case? Besides, without a Linker, your Extra Deck won't help you much either."

The Faceless One's confidence at this moment stems not only from its numerous restrictive back row abilities, but also from the inherent weaknesses of Pendulum Summoning.

The Pendulum Spellbook was once arguably the most powerful summoning spell, as its continuous stream of resources could provide a huge advantage in attrition warfare.

However, once the pendulum becomes dependent on links, its strength drops significantly. At this point, with the Piano Monkey already banned, the pendulum's requirement of at least two cards to activate becomes one of its biggest weaknesses.

Other decks might be able to pull off a miraculous draw in a desperate situation and turn the tide, but for Pendulum decks, with only one card in hand, it's hard to achieve much.

"Don't worry, of course I know I don't have enough cards in my hand, so the first thing I need to do is replenish my hand!"

"The effect of the Guitar Turtle is that, because the Light Phoenix is activated on the other side, I draw 1 card from my deck."

Seeing the card he drew, Leyou was overjoyed. This card was crucial!

"Then..."

"Hmph! Don't think it'll be that easy!" The Faceless One suddenly threw out the last card in his hand.

"I still have a multiplied G in my hand!"

The proliferating G took effect again, instantly extinguishing Leyou's previous joy.

"That's true... but it's okay! This time, I'm not stopping!"

In this situation, since there's no direction, just keep pushing and take down the opponent!

It's a bit strange for a gambling deck to include G, and today Leyou doesn't believe that the opponent's deck also has Meteor!

"Spell Card [Seven-Tone Elegant Attire]! Add 1 card with an odd number and 1 card with an even number of marks to the Extra Deck from your Pendulum Zone, face up, then draw 2 cards!"

"My purpose in searching for the Light Phoenix wasn't just for that card!"

The previous flying swordsman's pendulum scale was 2, which did not meet the condition of "crossing the river and destroying the bridge," while the light phoenix's scale of 3 is the reason for searching for it.

With the departure of Light Phoenix and Sea Turtle, two more cards are added to the hand, giving Leyou a total of four cards in hand and freeing up the Pendulum Zone.

The combination of "crossing the river and dismantling the bridge" and "creating something out of nothing" is really useful. Although the main body of the Seven Sounds Clothing brand is quite lazy, it is really powerful when traveling for business!

In this situation, there are many things that can be done!

"I'm setting the pendulum scale for the card 'The Demon World's Opener' in my hand!"

The appearance of the one who initiates the curtain is somewhat abstract, but as a demon, it is reasonable for him to do some strange things.

"Only once per duel, the Pendulum Effect of the Curtain Opener can be activated if you control no monsters. Special Summon this card from your Pendulum Zone!"

[Dark 4★ Demon 1100 Attack Power]

At a command, the person who initiated the event hopped from the pendulum area to the monster area.

"Special Summon? Then I can draw one card."

The Faceless One drew a card, glanced at it, and then ignored it, apparently because he hadn't drawn a useful one.

"Go ahead and draw whatever you want... You should be glad I didn't use Hanafuda or Bone Tower Demon." Glancing at the Faceless One, Leyou ignored him. Unless a meteorite fell down, he wouldn't bother to even look at it.

"Then comes the normal summon [Entertainment Companion Skeleton Acrobatic Clown]!"

"Activate the Joker's effect to search the Deck for [Magician with Insight]!"

No more pretending! The entertainment partner was just a pretense. I just didn't get it before. Now I'm going to do a magician's wheelchair drift!

Unfortunately, there's no mention of LL blowing up 4000.

"Watch closely, what follows is a grand magic show!"

"I'm setting the pendulum scale of 'Magician of Insight' (scale 5) and 'Magician of the Wicked Dragon' (scale 2) from my hand!"

Golden light and azure winds surrounded Leyou on both sides, while magic circles belonging to magicians were drawn in the air, and intricate patterns depicted the truths of the world.

"The effect of the Magician with Insight can only be activated if there is a [Magician] card or [Entertainment Partner] card in the other Pendulum Zone. Destroy this card and place a [Magician] Pendulum Monster other than the same name from your Deck into your Pendulum Zone!"

For Magician decks, having a keen eye means being able to summon any Magician Scale, and its importance is self-evident.

Furthermore, once the Insightful Eye is destroyed and enters the Extra Realm, it can also become a resource for subsequent Pendulum Summoning.

"I will destroy the Eye of Wisdom and place the [Rainbow Magician] with scale 8 in my pendulum area."

Rainbow Dragon is treated as a Pendulum Dragon card in the rules, so it can be found in some cards that search for the Pendulum Dragon field.

This is similar to the fact that [Reincarnated Flame Beast Hybrid Zebra X] has the [Mecha] field, except that this one is because of the name.

"Next, it's time for the pendulum's one and only designated big dad to make his appearance!"

"Reveal yourself! Guide the path to victory!"

"The summoning condition is two Pendulum Monsters!"

"I will use the Joker and the Curtainbreaker as materials to link and summon them!"

"Link 2! [Newly Forged Warrior - Silver Princess]!"

Within the furnace, the Silver Princess, forged through countless trials, emerges from the flames.

"Silver Gold's effect adds [Cosmic Magician] face-up to my Extra Deck!"

Hot knowledge, cosmology and scale are magicians, not magicians, and do not have fields in themselves.

"Silver Gold's second effect: Destroy Rainbow Magician on my field! Then add Zephyr from the Extra Deck to my hand!"

"The effect of Rainbow: If this card is destroyed, you can activate this effect by adding 1 [Pendulum Calculation] from your Deck to your hand! I add [Starfrost Pendulum Calculation] to my hand!"

"Then there's the effect of Zeus's Reading. If a card on your field is destroyed, you can activate this effect to summon yourself from your hand, and then you can add one card with the same name as a monster that was destroyed this turn from your deck to your hand!"

"I will use the Cosmic Reading Special Recruitment, and then select to search for the Magician with the Insightful Eye!"

This is an operation that is practically ingrained in the DNA of a Magician player. Unfortunately, this deck may be from an era when Rainbow was limited to one copy, and there is no second Rainbow in the deck. Otherwise, it could search for both Rainbow decks in one turn, making it much stronger than a single Rainbow deck.

Although the Red Array isn't really useful at this point, having two Arrays on the field is still a magical touch for the Magician!

"Because the rainbow left my pendulum zone, the Silver Gold's third effect was triggered, draw 1."

After a series of maneuvers, the hand now has 5 cards, even with only 1 copy each of Cosmic Reading and Rainbow Spell. This shows that a Magician in his prime has a truly terrifying ability to manage resources.

"Activate the Continuous Spell Card [Starfrost Spirit Pendulum Reading], then set the second Eye of Wisdom in your hand to the Pendulum Scale!"

"First, activate the Pendulum effect of [Magician of the Dragon]. Once per turn, if there is a [Magician] card in your other Pendulum Zone, you can add 1 face-up [Magician] Pendulum Monster or [Odd-Eyes] Pendulum Monster from your Extra Deck other than the card with the same name to your hand!"

"I will add the previously damaged additional Insight into my hand."

The effects of the Wise Eye Dragon are all very powerful, but they are still far inferior to the one-click animation of the Keyboard Monkey.

"The Pendulum effect of the Magician of the Insightful Eyes cannot be used once per turn, so I activate the Pendulum effect of the Magician of the Insightful Eyes again, destroying myself and placing 'Entertainment Partner Sky Magician' from my Deck at Scale 8!"

"At that moment, Starfrost's effect also activated. If a face-up Magician Pendulum Monster Card leaves your Monster/Pendulum Zone, I search my Deck for 1 Magician Pendulum Monster and add 'Tuning Magician' to my hand!"

At this point, the preparations were almost complete, as Faceless One, who had acquired three cards in his hand through three special summons, still made no move.

That's how magicians are; in most cases, they can't summon powerful escort monsters like Endymion before a pendulum summon.

After carefully considering the probability that the Faceless One might have a meteorite in his possession, Leyou gritted his teeth and decided to gamble!

If the other side dares to bet with a coin, and has done so many times, why wouldn't he dare to bet with a hand trap?

It's not surprising that a magician's final act is a meteorite derivative!

"Show yourself! Rule the magic circuits! The summoning condition is two or more monsters that are Mage-type monsters. I will set the link 2 Silver Princess and the Mage-type Zeus to arrows!"

"Descend! Link 3! [Holy Demon Queen Selene]!"

[Light - Link 3 - Mage - Attack Power 1850 - Arrow ↙↓↘]

"Place magic indicators according to the Demon Queen's effect."

"Next, it's time for the Pendulum Summon!"

"My pendulum scale is 2 and 8, therefore I can Special Summon monsters of levels 3-7!"

The Sky Magician and the Dragon Magician each raised their staffs, the azure wind and the dark purple shadows depicting the trajectory of the pendulum.

"Swing, pendulum of the soul, draw a rainbow arc across the sky, pendulum summon!"

"The strongest magician who commands the dragons of the four heavens! LV7! [The Magician of Cosmic Reading]!"

[Dark 7★ Mage 2500 Attack Power]

"A dazzling display of two-colored flames! LV5! [Entertainment Partner: Heterochromatic Phoenix]!"

[Light · 5★ · Birds and Beasts · Attack Power 2000]

"A clown who outwits his enemies with acrobatics! LV4! [Entertainment Partner: Skeleton Acrobatic Clown]!"

[Dark 4★ Mage 1800 Attack Power]

"The Heart of Rhythm, which composes magic into music! LV4! [The Magician of Tuning]!"

[Dark 4★ Mage 0 Attack Power]

"Guided by the light of the pendulum, let them all descend upon this place!"

Three monsters were summoned from the Extra Deck to the Linked End of the Demon Queen, and the Tuning String was summoned from the Hand to the Non-Linked End. With just one summon, Leyou had only one empty slot left on the field.

At this point, the activation conditions for Meteorite have been met, but Faceless One, who has drawn a card through Special Summon, still makes no move.

Seeing this, Leyou finally breathed a sigh of relief.

You made the right bet!

But we cannot let our guard down yet.

"The effect of 'Tuning the Strings' can be activated when this card is successfully Pendulum Summoned from your hand; Special Summon 1 [Magician] Pendulum Monster from your Deck in Defense Position, except for the same name!"
