Duels should be played with a smile.

Finally, it wasn't a case of the game being overplayed, but after the appearance of the Trickster, Yuza Ageha now has two more Level 4 monsters on the field.

"Is it coming?" Leyou murmured.

The thief who stole the things should be here soon, right?

"If you really come later, don't leave... I've prepared a big gift."

As if sensing Leyu's secret delight, Yuza Yoha also looked over.

"It's coming soon," Yuza Ageha said softly with a smile.

"My ace is about to be played!"

The Photon Slasher and the Trickster transformed into two beams of starlight, overlapping and rising into the supercomputer network that appeared in the sky.

"The battle begins here! White wings that carry our hopes!"

"Xyz Summon! Appear! No. 39! Messenger of Light, [Hope]!"

[Light - 4☆ - Warrior - Attack Power 2500]

Leyou slowly typed out a question mark.

But Yuza Ageha's actions did not stop. In the golden light of hope, Hope also turned into light.

"Second Xyz! I'm performing a Superior Xyz Summon on Hope the Great!"

"When the universe is disturbed, the light of hope that illuminates the chaos will descend!"

"Upgrade to Xyz Transformation! Appear! [Shining No. 39, Hope the Emperor]!"

[Light - 4☆ - Warrior - Attack Power 2510]

Although it only has 10 more attack power than Hope, Hope's brilliance is far more intense and dazzling than Hope's.

However, Hope's brilliance goes far beyond that; the path of light has no end!

"It's not over yet! Third Xyz Summon! Another Xyz Summon beyond Hope I!"

"A glimmer of hope! Blooming in the blink of an eye! Fly towards the heart of darkness!"

"Upgrade to Xyz Transformation! Appear! [Shining No. 39 Hope the Emperor - Lightning Emperor]!!"

[Light - 5☆ - Warrior - Attack Power 2500]

His rank changed to 5th tier, and his attack power returned to the unremarkable 2500 for the protagonist. However, anyone who knows the name of the Lightning Emperor understands just how intense the light of hope that bursts forth in the blink of an eye truly is.

That's the kind of skill that kills with a single strike!

After undergoing three Xyz Summons, the invincible Lightning Emperor finally made his appearance. Yuza Takeyu's spirited and excited demeanor caught Leyou's eye, making him feel a surge of excitement as well.

"Sure enough, no matter the circumstances, seeing someone summon an incredibly powerful Hope through a series of summons is absolutely amazing!"

Yuza Akane overheard Leyu's praise and couldn't help but laugh, "You think so too? It seems that even if you use a card as bad as Big Arrest, you still possess the shining soul of a duelist!"

"In that case, I will use the Lightning Emperor to express my respect for you!"

"Enter battle phase!"

Yuza Yoha displayed a boldness far beyond that of ordinary people, and she appeared exceptionally heroic as she wielded the Lightning Emperor.

“That’s right! I really like the Lightning Emperor, a monster that gets my blood pumping!” Leyou suddenly praised the Lightning Emperor again.

"So, to express my love for the Lightning Empress, I need to do a small thing before you let 'her' launch an attack."

"Activate the covered trap card! Second Big Arrest!"

"I really like Lightning Empress, but I'd rather have 'her' stay with me than have others use Lightning Empress to attack me!"

After all, Ella is now practically a "Hope" herself.

The Hope cards that Ella and Leyou have have alternate art versions. As for which alternate art they are, well, those who know, know.

"So, give it to me!"

Chapter Fifty: What kind of people are these?!

"As expected, regardless of whether one possesses the shining soul of a duelist, one cannot let down one's guard even for the slightest while in a duel."

After seeing Leyou launch the second big arrest, Yuza Yangyu changed her previous crazy state and calmed down in an instant, making it hard not to suspect that her crazy player state was just an act.

"As a duelist, always being vigilant about your opponent's back row is the most basic common sense."

Faced with the second big arrest, Yuza Ageha, who was prepared this time, calmly opened the face-down card he had set in the previous turn.

"Even though the Great Arrest, due to its perpetual trap nature, can ignore many countermeasures, the invincible Divine Declaration is forever invincible!"

"Unless you have a Red Reboot, I absolutely will not let you take this Lightning Emperor away!"

The invincible old man stepped forward. As everyone knows, law enforcement also depends on the person. When the old man said it was unacceptable, the staff holding the arrest warrant had no choice but to give him face.

The arrest plan failed, and the Lightning Emperor remained on Yuza Takeu's field. Fortunately, although the Lightning Emperor was known as the "Five Thousand Emperor" and the "Ten Thousand Emperor", his base attack power was only 2500. When facing a Chained player with a defense power of exactly 2500, he felt rather awkward.

Moreover, after paying half of the LP, Yuzayoi only had 2500 LP left, while Rakuyu still had 6400 LP, putting him in the upper hand.

"Lightning Emperor, enter battle! Attack the Chainer!"

"When Lightning Emperor engages in battle, your opponent's card effects cannot be activated until the end of the Damage Step!"

An electric shock exploded, isolating everything in the amusement park except for the chain operator.

"The second effect of Lightning Emperor! If this card has Hope Royal Hope as an Xyz Material, during damage calculation when battling an opponent's monster, detach 2 Xyz Materials once, and its ATK becomes 5000 only during that damage calculation!"

"I have eliminated the Trickster Clown and the Photon Slasher!"

"Lightning overload!"

[Lightning Emperor's Attack Power: 2500 → 5000]

"At the same time, because the Trickster sent me to the graveyard, his effect activated, and he Special Summoned himself, and I took 1000 damage."

[Yusa Ageha's LP: 2500 → 1500]

Even though Yuuyu hadn't really made a move, Yuza Ageha was already on the verge of collapse.

The Lightning Emperor, whose attack power was doubled, sent his captured former colleague away with a single slash, showing no mercy. After the attack ended, the Trickster, whose attack and defense were reduced to 0, could no longer help.

"Exit the battle phase, set one card face down, and end your turn."

Yuza Ageha is now out of cards, with only two back row cards left to help the Lightning Emperor.

And Leyou, who had been waiting for a long time, finally sounded the horn of counterattack.

"During your end phase, I activate a face-down Quick-Play Spell Card!"

"【scapegoat】!"

A chorus of "baa" sounds filled the air as four adorable sheep-themed characters appeared on the field, looking incredibly cute with their harmless appearance.

But looking at these cute little lambs, Yuza Ageha couldn't feel happy at all.

Because these little lambs are about to transform into all sorts of strange things right in front of her, including but not limited to access code talkers, bayonet barrel dragons, and a series of monsters specifically designed for slaying—unless the opponent is a duelist who hasn't collected these monsters.

However, it seems unlikely. Throughout his teaching career at the academy, Yuza Akane has repeatedly emphasized to his students that if possible, they must prepare a card for finishing off an opponent, otherwise victory may slip through their fingers.

"Now, it's my turn! Draw a card!"

The second scapegoat was drawn, but at this point, it didn't matter anymore.

"Circuit manifested! Summoning condition: 1 Normal Monster! I set an arrow on a Goat Token and Link Summon!"

"Link 1! [Connecting Spider]!"

[Earth·Link 1·Cyber Realm·Attack Power 1000·Arrow ↓]

An ordinary spider, with unremarkable attributes, but perhaps because this is a virtual world, the stronghold of the electronic race, the small connecting spider seems somewhat active.

"Second Link! The summoning condition is two monsters with different card names! I'll use Tokens and Link Spiders as materials!"

"Link 2! [Dreamlike Collapse - Phoenix]!"

"If the Phoenix is successfully Link Summoned, discard 1 card from your hand, target 1 card in your backrow, and destroy it!"

"I'll discard the [Skeleton King] in my hand and destroy your backline card in the middle!"

The phoenix spread its wings and shattered Yuza Yoh's back field. Upon closer inspection, it seemed to be a home-family trap.

"Third Summoning! Link 3! [Dream Collapse - Unicorn]!"

"Activate the effect, discard [Surf Inspector] from your hand, and return your Electro King to the deck!"

The duel had essentially come to an end. After the unicorn appeared, Yuza Ageha put his hand to his forehead and shook his head slightly, seemingly somewhat annoyed.

He was annoyed at having such an opponent, and at having the sudden urge to choose the Time Stealer instead of his signature Trap.

Listen to what cards he just lost! Look at what cards he used before! How many of these are cards a normal person would use?!

Moreover, it's a real shame that I didn't manage to summon the Clockwork Repairer this time, even though I used the Time Stealer deck.

It might be a little embarrassing to say... but the reason she used the Time Stalker deck was simply because of the Dial Restorer monster.

The appearance of the monster, the Watch Repairer, is very similar to that of a senior she admires... By summoning the Watch Repairer and fighting alongside him, she can experience the same joy as going on a date with that senior.

However, there is no chance for him in this competition.

That clueless guy on the other side doesn't look like he's going to stop.

Of course, as a true duelist, Yuza Ageha would not expect any opponent to hold back. Holding back in a duel is not mercy, it is an insult.

"In this duel, you were the better player. I accept my defeat wholeheartedly."

"Go on! Let me see your ace monster. Defeat me with your ace monster!"

Yuza Akane casually declared his defeat, hoping that Rakuyu would be able to summon that incredibly powerful monster.

"Since you've made this request, I have no choice but to comply!" Le You laughed heartily and nodded in agreement.

"I will use the sheep-derived material to Link Summon [Link Kuriboh]!"

"Reveal! Circuit that guides the future! Summoning condition: 2 or more Effect Monsters!"

"Rid the winds of the unknown world! Link summoned! [Access Code Speaker]!"

A golden knight appeared, wielding a lance that could pierce through anything. Having absorbed the unicorn, he possessed an attack power of up to 5300.
