Duels should be played with a smile.

"Send the Fusion Material Monster that contains either 'Dark Magician' or 'Dark Magician Girl' from your hand or field to the Graveyard, and Fusion Summon that Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck."

"I will fuse the Dark Magician and the Dark Magician Girl on the field!"

"Fusion Summoning! [Grand Magister - Dark Magician and Apprentice]!"

A mysterious magic circle quietly appeared, enveloping the master and disciple, and a mysterious light fell upon them, infusing them with new power.

Then, this master and apprentice simply stood in the same square and became a brand new fusion monster.

[Dark 8-Star Mage Race 2800 Attack 2100 Defense]

That's right. Although it was a grand fusion summoning, in reality it just appeared as if they had moved to a different position and were standing together.

At the same time, Leyou was also full of questions.

Seriously, officer? I've already used a card that I don't want to date to get away with this, how did you manage to get away with it? Is the ink on your card still warm?

He still remembered the effect of the Dark Magician and his apprentice: after the explosion, they could immediately use their dying words to revive the Dark Magician and the Dark Magician Girl. This was practically equivalent to not being hit at all!

But no matter how unhappy Leyou was, he could only watch the effects unfold since he couldn't continue the chain. He watched the Black Magician and his apprentice enter the field before the Azure Phoenix God could ignite the flames left on his field.

The raging flames engulfed the Connector, Phoenix God, Azure Phoenix God, and the Awakened Ones in the back row, sending them all back to the Underworld.

Before they returned to the underworld, they all left behind the power to drag their enemies into the underworld as well!

"I destroyed four cards, so I can destroy all four monsters on your field, but you only have three now, so they're all destroyed!"

"It's useless!" Yugi waved his hand dismissively. "The Azure Phoenix God is only an 8-star monster; its effect is ineffective against God Cards!"

"But it's enough if it works on your other monsters! As for your Sky Dragon, there are other ways to deal with it!"

The Azure Phoenix God transformed itself into endless azure flames, and after absorbing the power left behind by its other companions, the azure flames even dyed the sky.

As the azure flames descended, the legendary black magician, who had returned from chaos, was once again thrust back into chaos, while the master and apprentice struggled to resist the scorching heat of the flames.

The noble gods, however, are not afraid of the flames of the underworld that are enough to incinerate souls.

"When the Dark Magician of Chaos leaves the field, he is banished. When the Dark Magician and his apprentice are destroyed, you can Special Summon 1 Dark Magician and 1 Dark Magician Girl from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard!"

"Everything is going as I expected. Return once more, Dark Magician! And Dark Magician Girl!"

Seeing the azure flames about to engulf them, the black magician and the black magic girl standing together each dodged lightly, easily avoiding the icy flames.

If separating would leave them unharmed, then what were they fighting so hard for before?

By destroying his own board, Yugi only lost one Chaos Dark Magician and one face-down card on the field. In this resource exchange, Yugi had the upper hand.

The game seemed to be completely under his control, and the slight upturn of his lips revealed his current mood.

He is now enjoying this duel, and the experience it brings him is completely different from duels with other people.

He could sense that he would gain many things from this duel that he had never experienced before.

"Leyou, do you still have a way to break through my blockade?"

"Of course! In fact, my breakthrough has only just begun!"

There was no frustration in Leyou's eyes due to the failure of the plan; there was only excitement and the joy of seeing a new toy.

"Although your fusion move surprised me somewhat, I had already prepared several ways to deal with you!"

"Don't forget! My deck gains its power through constant destruction and rebirth!"

It would be too boring if everything went according to plan!

The most exciting future is the one that can never be predicted!

For so long, only games have been able to reveal this unknown future in a duel with him!

"This is the duel I've been longing for! A duel that can reveal entirely new possibilities and unleash the brilliance of the duelists!"

"The phoenix lives on through endless destruction, and destruction will also bring forth the phoenix!"

"When your black magic master and apprentice were destroyed, the Phoenix God, which was conceived in the chaos, also sensed all of this and descended from the chaos!"

"The effect of [Chaotic Phoenix God Nephthys] in the Graveyard: If this card is in your hand or Graveyard and a card on the field is destroyed by a card effect, banish 1 LIGHT and 1 DARK monster from the Graveyard other than this card, and Special Summon this card."

"When...Masaka? At the very beginning? Such simple summoning conditions...you..."

The gamer's eyes were filled with undisguised shock as he rapidly replayed every move and detail of the duel in his mind.

"I'm excluding the dark-attribute Feathered Spirit and the light-attribute Electromagnetic Turtle from the graveyard!"

"What?! Electromagnetic Turtle??? You really are something... But why did you exclude it?"

Ignoring the game's shock, Leyou, immersed in the duel, continued chanting the prayer to summon chaos.

"When light and darkness intertwine, the world will fall into chaos!"

"From the chaos, the Phoenix God has descended once more!"

The powers of light and darkness merged, giving the Phoenix God a new battle robe.

"Attack Statement: Special Summon Chaos Phoenix God!"

The golden body was surrounded by crimson flames from chaos, which was the more powerful form of the Phoenix God.

[Dark 8-Star Bird/Beast Race ATK 2400 → 400 DEF 1600]

Suddenly, the game was filled with an immense sense of crisis. When could you stop needing survival measures? Of course, it was after defeating the enemy.

"That's right, when I exclude my own Electromagnetic Turtle, it means that I no longer need it to protect me in this duel!"

"So when I'm not using it, you can forget about using it either!"

With a cry that seemed to come from the abyss, the Chaos Phoenix God unleashed His chaotic flames, showering them upon the Dark Magician on the field and into the game's graveyard.

"If the Chaos Phoenix is successfully Special Summoned, you can banish one card from your opponent's field and two cards from their Graveyard!"

"I'll remove your Black Magician from the field!"

"And then there are the two cards you threw down using the angel's charity! Let me see, one of them must be the Electromagnetic Turtle, right?"

Because this effect requires checking the graveyard, the game had to reveal its own graveyard. When Leyou took a closer look, wow, in addition to a Super Electromagnetic Turtle, there was also a Light Guardian Spirit Sword!

"As expected of you, Yugi! You actually put two survival cards in the graveyard, but now, banish them both!"

At a command, the Chaos Phoenix God manipulated the Chaos Fire, preparing to burn the two cards along with the Dark Magician on the field.

"Now we have no choice but to use it." Yugi shook his head helplessly. "The Light-Sealing Sword is a trap card, so it can chain your effect to activate even if it's in the graveyard."

"I'll banish this card. This turn, your monsters can't attack me directly! Now, are you still confident you can end this duel this turn?"

"Of course!" Leyou slammed a card in his hand onto the duel disk.

"What a coincidence! I just happened to be planning to target you, and I also just happened to have the Light-Protecting Spirit-Sealing Sword with me!"

"So, feel the pointing fingers that carry the resentment of countless card players!"

"I chain your effect to activate the Quick-Play Spell Card [Called Nameless]!"

"I need to declare a card. The declared card is banished from the deck. Until the end of this turn, the effects of the banished card and cards with the same original name as the banished card are negated!"

"I hereby declare! [Light-Guarding Spirit-Sealing Sword]! Banish this card from my deck, and negate all cards with the same name this turn!"

A card identical to the one in the Game's graveyard is launched from the Duel Disk, and a sharp blade descends from the sky, piercing through the card and simultaneously piercing through the Game's card as well—even though that card has been banished, the timely strike of the Finger of Strike doesn't care where your card is.

With the effect of Named Annihilation taking effect, the Light-Protecting Spirit Sword was nullified, and then the Phoenix God finally unleashed its flames, burning the Electromagnetic Turtle in the graveyard and the Dark Magician on the field to ashes.

"At this moment, because [Nephthys' Awakening] was destroyed by its effect, the second effect of this Trap Card also activates. I can Special Summon 1 [Nephthys] monster from my hand, Deck, or Graveyard. The monster Special Summoned by this effect will be destroyed during the End Phase, but it doesn't matter, because I'll send it down here before that!"

"Return from the underworld once more, Phoenix God!"

The Phoenix God, having lost count of how many times it had repeatedly jumped back and forth, returned from the graveyard due to the effects of awakening. And because the Sky Dragon was still on the field, it was hit head-on by a Lightning Bolt, leaving it barely alive once again.

"Then, it's time to deal with this unexpected monster on your field!"

"Even if the sun sets three times, I will hold onto hope three times! I activate the Spell Card [Nephthys's Hope] for the third time!"

"Destroy the Phoenix God and the Dark Magician Girl on your field together!"

Having long been accustomed to life and death, the Phoenix God once again unleashed all his remaining power, dragging the dark magic girl on the opposite side into the underworld.

Unfortunately, the Phoenix God's flames were too powerful. If the fire could have burned more slowly and precisely, perhaps we could have seen some different and beautiful scenery.

"Now, you only have a lone Sky Dragon left on your field."

"However, I still have six cards in my hand, and the Sky Dragon has 6000 attack power. Under its overwhelming pressure, your monsters simply cannot defeat it."

At this moment, the lone phantom god remained standing despite being bombarded several times.

"But I still have three cards in my hand. How do you know that my three cards can't defeat you?"

At this moment, on Leyou's field, there was only the Chaos Phoenix God, whose power had been stripped away by divine punishment. Even though he tried his best to spread his wings, he could not take flight.

"But after removing the Sky Dragon, you'll only have 1500 LP left."

Looking at his remaining three cards, Leyou revealed a confident smile.

Are you implying that my wife is already on her deathbed?

The game was not to be outdone; the incomparably powerful Phantom God was his best guarantee. Not to mention, the companion who had protected him countless times came into his hands again because of that treasure card that fell from the sky.

"No, no, no, what I'm saying is that after this duel, the title of Duel King will belong to me!"

"Game! Are you ready? I'm about to begin slaying gods!"

As soon as he finished speaking, a monster card was placed on the Duel Disk.

In an instant, countless planets appeared in the sky, and in the endless galaxy, one planet was being dragged forward by a giant dragon.

Chapter 87 I said, God will no longer exist in this world! Paying Back Debts 22/34
