brush!brush!

Two more horses charged off the planet and headed to the battlefield.

The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse meet amidst plague, war, famine, and death. Through the blessing of the Seven Seals, their power is enhanced once again, reaching the pinnacle of the fifth-order godhood.

And the entire Earth began to liberate the Fifth Seal!

It is an altar!

View the entire Earth as an altar.

Survival itself is the most powerful resistance against absurdity: Chapter Eight: Civilization Ruins

The Earth underwent a cataclysmic change; all seven continents and four oceans began to glow, transforming into an altar that combined to form a unified whole, serving as its core.

Presided over by five supreme deities who control all the places of ascension on Earth, this enormous project is finally coming into play.

It contains the wisdom of the gods, and countless places of ascension together form the number of the heavens. Now, like a nail in the ground, it locks the entire earth tightly.

The entire space was shaking!

All the extraordinary beings could sense an unimaginable pulling force. This space was like a blanket being held at its center and constantly pulled upwards, as if someone wanted to pull this blanket out.

But this blanket is too heavy because its area is linked to the entire universe.

What the gods need to do is to pull the blanket as high as possible until it forms the scope of a microcosm, and then swiftly cut through the mess to separate this microcosm into an independent entity.

This is a special kind of ascension.

Mars, having become a battlefield, ignored the space that was increasingly deviating from its original trajectory. The Ancestor of Humanity and the Doomsday Knight remained in their original dimension and did not ascend with the Supreme God.

However, beings of this level inherently possess the ability to traverse space; otherwise, how could they enter and exit the spirit world, influencing reality? Naturally, they would have a way to return.

They remained steadfast, unshaken by the shifting space, standing firmly on this reddish-brown earth, leaving Mars in its original location.

The Knights of Doom, working together, can fight against the Supreme God.

Even the ancestor of mankind sensed the immense pressure.

But he wasn't too dangerous.

Because he and the Supreme God are at the same level, both at the peak of Sequence 5, taking just one step would allow him to reach the level of Sequence 4.

Even if the four Doomsday Knights were to gather together and use the Seven Seals, they would still be unable to reach Sequence 4.

The battle continues, with violent shockwaves raging across the Martian surface.

This ancient, illusory shadow of Mars shone with an ominous red light in the sky, gleaming like a demonic star.

……

Earth, the dense jungles of South America.

Over the past millennia, humanity has become the dominant species on Earth, developing advanced technology, but there are still many regions that modern knowledge cannot reach.

Forbidden places such as primeval forests, deserted islands in the sea, and the North and South Poles.

Xin Yang stood in the forest. He looked around for a moment, then looked away from Mars and focused his attention back on what was in front of him.

There is no road...

Numerous shrubs and tangled trees block the sunlight, thick green vines hang from the branches, and lush leaves overlap, making it difficult for sunlight to penetrate, casting only dappled shadows.

The thick layer of leaves exudes the stench of decaying nature, and rustling sounds come from the depths of the dense forest, like lurking wild beasts. Only wilderness survival experts can survive here.

But all indications suggest that no one has set foot here for thousands of years.

Xin Yang is tall and imposing, but his steps are steady and firm, each step as if measuring.

Each time he took a step, a flat, straight path would automatically appear in front of him, with all the bushes and trees blocking the way moving aside.

This scene was extremely abrupt; he seemed to be walking through a narrow crevice in space, but his demeanor and movements made it seem as if the world was making way for him, as if welcoming a king who would rule the world.

Behind Xinyang, a golden feathered serpent coiled in the air. It was slender, more than two meters long, and covered with feathers. It had two pure white wings, each feather as sharp as a sword, which was extremely intimidating.

It was located to the left and behind Xinyang, following him forward.

Quetzalcoatl!

The deity in the Mayan civilization was a supreme being who once held power over the sun.

When the gods escaped from the spirit world, it came to their aid from the outside, unleashing all its power to forcefully break through a path and guide some of the gods to safety. However, it itself was also depleted of its divine power and turned into a stone statue, falling to earth.

If nothing unexpected happens, it will need to slumber for hundreds of years to awaken and accumulate the divine power to reawaken.

But when Xinyang arrived on this land, he saw the feathered serpent god who had turned into a stone statue, and so he casually awakened it from its long slumber.

However, due to its severe damage, it will be difficult for it to recover to its peak condition.

"Three parts active soul, seven parts inert soul, and the correct placement of the stars; the place of ascension is the stairway to heaven, ultimately leading to leaving the old world and arriving at a new one—this is the path to heaven,"

Quetzalcoatl's words were cool, pleasant to the ear, and extremely magnetic.

As one of the gods, it was present and naturally aware of these things.

Although Xin Yang could see the clues from the current situation, he was not a divine being; it was the feathered serpent god who was explaining things to him.

Xin Yang asked it, "You're not interested in heaven?"

He rarely saw a spirit as pure as the Feathered Serpent God. While not unique, it was certainly extremely rare in this world.

Quetzalcoatl appeared somewhat dejected. "Heaven is built upon countless lives..."

However, it has always maintained an unconventional neutral stance.

They will not slaughter all living beings for the sake of heaven, nor will they oppose the gods for the sake of living beings.

"When those four Doomsday Knights harvested souls, it didn't cause them much pain."

Suddenly, Xinyang stopped in his tracks and looked in the direction to the side.

He turned and took two steps, then squatted down, looking at a jaguar that had already lost its life. It had left its den, seemingly sensing something, but could not escape the disaster. Now it lay motionless in the grass, its belly swollen high.

Xin Yang lightly touched the leopard's belly with his fingertips.

Three newborns emerged from the darkness, and as the light entered their eyes, they were suddenly exposed to the world. They couldn't help but let out a tender cry, which rose and fell in waves, like feathers tickling the heart, and making the ears itch.

"Waaah..."

These three newborn babies are so tender and adorable.

They were like kittens, wet and with traces of blood. Even a small child could hold them in their hands. They hadn't even opened their eyes yet, struggling to lift their fragile heads, their limbs flailing, instinctively searching for warmth, whimpering weakly, needing the nourishment of mother's milk.

But the mother jaguar was already dead. When the three cubs instinctively approached her, only the residual warmth from her fur remained.

Xinyang watched as the three leopard cubs tried to find nourishment on the adult leopard.

The feathered serpent god was also watching this scene.

“Rescuing them might not be a good thing. It would be better to let them return with their mother,” it said. “All that lives must die; that is fate, and it cannot be stopped…”

Xin Yang seemed lost in thought.

"Don't you think they are very resilient in living?"

"All life perseveres tenaciously." Quetzalcoatl shook his head slightly. This didn't prove anything, not even for the gods.

It continued, "Even the gods are but a fleeting moment in history, but if they fall into ruin or die, then the years will never end."

In known history.

Sumer is the oldest civilization, so logically, the oldest gods should have come from Mesopotamia.

But in reality, according to the gods' speculation, there should have been an even more ancient existence and a more ancient civilization before the years shrouded in endless mist.

But now, life is still being conceived, but what about the previous civilizations and the gods of that time?

They've all withered away.

The gods traveled through the universe using the place of ascension, but never encountered any of their kind.

They had speculated that the fallen ancient demons deep within the spirit world might be inextricably linked to previous civilizations.

Because some of the gods are also permanently lost in the core of the spirit world.

This shattered their beautiful illusion of immortality.

To fall into depravity is more terrible than death.

The gods were all in fear, afraid that they might fall one day.

But only Quetzalcoatl remained calm, for the path it followed was the one least afraid of falling into depravity.

Xinyang gazes at the dead corpses and the newborn infants.

He said quietly, "We cherish life because life is much shorter than death, like fireworks."

"But it is precisely these fleeting moments of life that illuminate this world and give it meaning..."

This knowledge, ingrained in his mind, was once told to him by a man called a prophet.

He hadn't forgotten when it came to the mysterious realm.

Xin Yang suddenly stood up, like the sun god in mythology, his dazzling and majestic body always giving people a feeling of infinite light.

He was a proponent of civilization, firmly believing that it is the passage of time that gives civilization, rather than the passage of time to civilization.

"Do you want to save them?" Quetzalcoatl asked.

Xin Yang did not answer. Clear light flowed from his fingertips, falling on the body of the adult jaguar. Without pausing, he took another step.

The road ahead continued to stretch out, and the world opened a path for him. As he moved forward, the road behind him was once again obscured by grass and trees.

Quetzalcoatl followed, and when it looked back, it saw that the jaguar, which should have died, had regained its warmth. It stood up unsteadily, shook its head, and immediately saw the three cubs nestled against it. It lay down again and stretched out its tongue to groom the fur of the young jaguars, showing deep affection for its offspring. A gentle light shone in its wild vertical pupils.

Its soul has completely vanished, but now it gives Quetzalcoatl the illusion that it is still alive.

"How much longer can it live?" Quetzalcoatl asked.

Xin Yang said calmly, "Live until it feels it deserves to die."

Although the leopard was dead, it still harbored a deep-seated obsession.

For a spiritual healer, stirring up lingering resentment and granting new life is not a difficult task.

Kagura Tendou can use the power of the Liar to summon dinosaurs from tens of millions of years ago and bring them back to life.
