What's even more troublesome is that this foreigner has a Japanese accent. When he saw Cao Gui, an Asian, he for some reason started showing off in Chinese in front of Cao Gui, and finally said, "I've eaten more salt than you've eaten rice," before he was satisfied and started the class.

Well, this foreigner is quite skilled, but while he doesn't make any major mistakes, he keeps making minor ones, like this sentence: "I've eaten more salt than you've eaten rice."

How could someone from China say that? We would add a past tense, like, "I've eaten more salt than you've eaten rice," that would be more reasonable.

The other party's mistake wasn't serious, and arguing with him in public would seem petty, so Cao Gui could only silently endure the Chinese that gave him goosebumps.

He probably now understood why he was the only Asian in the class.

Gwen, on the other hand, seemed quite happy. The Chinese lesson was a bit difficult, but not as difficult as she had imagined.

“Cao, you’re right, Chinese isn’t as difficult as you think.” Gwen smiled, her big eyes curving into crescent moons.

"Oh, whatever makes you happy," Cao Gui replied listlessly, showing little interest.

Gwen covered her mouth and chuckled. Cao Gui's purpose in dragging her to learn Chinese was too obvious, but she didn't expect that after one lesson, Cao Gui himself would suffer a setback first.

Such a petty man, how amusing.

……

Time flies, and before they knew it, it was time to leave school. Cao Gui and Gwen left the school side by side, and then, unsurprisingly, they ran into George Stacy, who had been waiting for them.

For some reason, Chief George seems to have more free time than before. Since last time, he has been seen picking Gwen up every afternoon.

Moreover, he gave Cao Gui a sour look, as if he were looking at an enemy.

As usual, Cao Gui greeted Director Stacy and then walked away into the distance.

In Upper Manhattan, Cao Gui got out of the car in front of a barbecue restaurant.

"Hehe! Look who's here." The middle-aged, fat white man busy in the store laughed loudly, "Cao, my friend, welcome back again."

"Haha, Jeff, you've gotten even fatter in just over ten hours." Cao Gui patted his round belly.

Since he began practicing "paper drawing", Cao Gui has needed a lot of meat. In order to satisfy his needs for meat and taste, Cao Gui searched for a long time and finally found this barbecue restaurant with a master chef from the Celestial Empire as the head chef.

Over the past month, Cao Gui has ordered several whole roasted lambs from this fat man, and they've become quite familiar with each other.

There was no way they weren't familiar with each other. Jeff had earned about the same amount of money from Cao Gui in the past month as he had earned in the previous few months.

"Damn it! You're just talking nonsense." The fat man asked while busying himself, "Cao, the usual rules, nothing new?"

“Of course.” Cao Gui nodded. “I’ll have Li add more chili and cumin for me.”

"Don't worry, I know your taste. Just sit tight and wait. Oh, by the way..."

As the fat man was speaking, he suddenly seemed to remember something, and put down what he was holding, saying, "I just got a Wagyu beef from Australia today. How about it? Are you interested in taking a look?"

"Wagyu beef?" Cao Gui's eyes lit up: "That's good stuff!"

"Yes, that's why I'm recommending you, my big customer, first." The fat man winked. "How about checking out my cold storage?"

“Sure, you lead the way.” Cao Gui didn’t hesitate. After eating roasted whole lamb for a month, it would be nice to change things up.

The fat man called over an apprentice and had him take over his work. Then, he led Cao Gui through a maze of turns toward the cold storage where food was stored.

"Jeff, what brings you to the Wagyu beef business?"

Cao Gui asked curiously, "Wagyu beef is basically considered a 'high-end ingredient,' so using it for barbecue seems a bit extravagant."

It should be served in a Western restaurant, presented as an exquisite and tempting Western dish with fancy plating, rather than as barbecue.

“Hehehe, I wasn’t really interested before, but it’s different now.” Jeff laughed smugly, “Thanks to your patronage, I can expand into other businesses now.”

Cao Gui chuckled and said, "That's true."

Before long, the two arrived at the cold storage. The place was dimly lit and extremely cold and gloomy. A burly man with a full beard and a menacing aura was using a machine to cut a pig's hind leg.

Cao Gui raised an eyebrow. This person... seems somewhat familiar.

"Oh, this is Mark, one of my new employees. He works very hard," the fat man said with a smile.

Perhaps sensing Cao Gui's gaze, the burly man with a thick beard named Mark raised his head and nodded to Cao Gui and the fat man beside him.

"Mark, come here." The fat man beckoned to the bearded man, and after he came over, he said to Cao Gui:

"Cao, I can't stay away from here for too long. We have to go back now. Mark will take you from here on out."

"He's the best cold storage manager I've hired. He knows a lot about Wagyu beef and all kinds of meat. I think you'll be satisfied."

Mark looked blankly at Fatty Jeff, then at Cao Gui, before quickly tucking the narrow-bladed dagger and the wide boning knife into his back.

"Hello, Mr. Cao, please come with me. I've been here for a week and I know this place very well. Please trust my professional skills."

Cao Gui raised an eyebrow. This sentence seemed a bit redundant. Hmm... the other party was probably a little nervous.

“OK, lead the way.” Cao Gui nodded readily.

Fat Jeff returned the way he came, while Mark led Cao Gui into the cold storage.

As soon as you step inside, a chill envelops you. What comes into view are various kinds of livestock hanging upside down, including pigs, horses, cattle, and sheep.

Cao Gui clicked his tongue in amazement. Such a scene was rare. He had only seen it once before, in "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre." The scene that left the deepest impression on him was when the female protagonist hid inside the chest cavity of a pig, and then the human-faced man chased after her with a chainsaw and sawed the pig in half.

It has to be said that cold storage facilities for storing meat are absolutely perfect places to kill someone.

“Mr. Cao, this is our Australian Wagyu beef.”

Mark led Cao Gui to a cow carcass hanging upside down. From the cuts on it, you could see snowflake-like fat spread throughout the beef's texture. You could imagine how melt-in-your-mouth it would be if it were fried until slightly golden brown and sprinkled with a little black pepper salt.

Cao Gui couldn't help but exclaim in admiration, but then his brows furrowed slightly. Something still didn't seem right. Wagyu beef wasn't suitable for grilling, much less for someone like him who often liked to order whole roasted lamb.

Cao Gui raised his left hand, gently pressed it on the beef, then turned to the bearded man behind him and said:

"Hey Mark, this beef..."

Swish!

Suddenly! Just then!

A flash of bright light from a blade streaked across my vision!

The broad cleaver drew a graceful arc and slashed fiercely towards Cao Gui's neck!

Cao Gui's eyes widened in shock; in his pitch-black pupils, Mark's rugged face was reflected.

His face was covered with a thick beard, and his expression was full of ferocity, cruelty, and glee.

Chapter 11 A Battle of Even Strength

Swish!

However, something shocking happened!

Cao Gui's body swayed like a willow in the wind, shifting to the left as the cleaver cleaved downwards.

He narrowly avoided the butcher's seemingly inevitable vertical slash!

Six Styles - Paper Drawing!

what! ?

The butcher's small eyes were filled with disbelief. What had just happened? How did he dodge the knife?!

Cao Gui wasn't the type to take a beating without fighting back; before the other party could even figure things out, his counterattack began.

A cold glint flashed in Cao Gui's eyes. He braced himself with his left hand on the ground, then suddenly pushed off with his foot, his entire body forming an arc before he instantly stood up.

Then, with a twist of his waist and a sudden burst of strength, he gripped his right hand in mid-air, and a gleaming military knife appeared out of nowhere, stabbing towards the butcher's thick neck with a sharp, cold glint.

The old forces haven't dissipated, and the new forces haven't yet arisen, plus the distraction during battle...

You are dead!

Cao Gui's eyes gleamed.

Faced with the rapidly approaching cold light, the butcher had nowhere to dodge. His small eyes were filled with horror. He had not expected Cao Gui's counterattack to come so quickly.

Thump thump thump thump!

A heartbeat like a drumbeat suddenly rang out, the butcher's pupils shrank to pinpoints, and in that instant, everything in the world suddenly slowed down.

Cao Gui's lightning-fast slash now seemed so slow; without the boost of speed, the slash had no killing power whatsoever.

Bullet time!

One of the Brotherhood's signature skills!

The butcher slowly raised the narrow, sharp knife in his left hand, tilting his head back. This strike was no longer a threat.

Clang!

A pleasant clang of metal rang out as a military knife grazed the butcher's narrow, sharp blade.

The butcher leaned back, his fat and muscular body nimbly flipping over to dodge Cao Gui's deadly strike.

"That's quite surprising, kid!"

The butcher slowly stood up. A thin line of blood slowly appeared on his chin. He raised his hand, wiped away the blood, and coldly smiled:

"I thought you were a newbie, but I didn't expect you to be such a pro. No wonder you're from the FBI!"

Cao Gui's pupils suddenly contracted. He actually knew I was an FBI agent?!

This task was handled by Sitwell, a Hydra agent and a Level 6 agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. At this point in time, not many people can bypass these two organizations to investigate someone.

"Who are you!?"

"Why did you want to kill me?!" Cao Gui asked in a deep voice.

But no matter who the other party is, he won't be able to leave this cold storage room today!

"The arbiter of fate." The butcher grinned maliciously, his right hand gripping the dagger in reverse, his left hand holding the cleaver upright.

"Boy, your fate ends here! It's time for me to send you to meet Satan!"

"Ridiculous!" Cao Gui sneered disdainfully, gripping his sword with both hands. "Judgment my fate? You're not qualified!"

"Then give it a try!"

The butcher grinned maliciously and suddenly kicked the Wagyu beef carcass in front of him.

Clang~

The iron hook slid along the iron frame, carrying the huge Wagyu carcass as it crashed into Cao Gui.
