If he suddenly turned into a woman...
hehehe~
A smile gradually twists into a sinister grin.
That's a fantastic idea.
After a while, Cao Gui finally snapped out of his reverie and turned his gaze to the remaining two hormone reagents.
The euphoric hormone is like a rampage buff; it wears off once the time is up, so it's not useful at this stage.
As for healing hormones... sacrificing lifespan for a quick physical recovery is a life-threatening act, something Cao would never do... Of course, it's possible when he's about to die.
Cao Gui pulled the dagger from Zi Ren's chest and put it into his [System Backpack], then turned and left, walking slowly back to his bedroom with a joyful heart.
Of course, before leaving, they took the two oil paintings hanging on the wall.
Noon the next day.
Obadiah drove to the Purple Man's residence. He could agree to let the Purple Man postpone the assassination of Tony Stark, but there had to be a time limit; they couldn't just wait aimlessly like this.
"Kiel, open the door, I'm here."
Out of respect, Obadiah did not use his authority in the villa to open the door, but instead called for Kilgrave, but there was no response.
"Damn it, this bastard is playing way too crazy!" Obadiah couldn't help but curse. He thought that Purple Man had been playing too wildly last night and was still not awake.
"Hey! Kiel, I need to talk to you about something. If you don't reply, I'm going in!" Obadiah couldn't help but yell angrily.
However, there was still no response.
Obadiah's anger flared up instantly. He no longer cared about respect and simply took out his key to open the door and go inside. But the entire villa was silent, as if there was no trace of human activity.
But Obadiah, burning with rage, didn't ignore the anomaly and instead barged directly into Kilgrave's bedroom.
However, upon closer inspection, he was so frightened that his legs went weak. Kilgrave, this monster that even the Strategic Defense Agency couldn't do anything about, had actually been killed!
"Damn it..."
Obadiah's face turned deathly pale. Terrified, his body went limp, and he struggled desperately to get up and run away. Kilgrave had come to the Bahamas at his invitation to assassinate Stark in New York, and now...
Thump thump...
But extreme fear caused him to make mistakes repeatedly, his feet kept slipping, and he fell to the ground time and time again.
After several attempts, Obadiah collapsed to the ground, resigned to his fate and prepared to accept punishment from others.
But... after an unknown amount of time, there was still no sound from the surroundings. Now, with both feet off the ground, her clever intelligence had once again taken over the high ground.
After calming down, Obadiah began to analyze the whole incident. The broken glass window and the huge crack in the wall all pointed to one thing: Kiel had encountered an invincible enemy.
So... that means they weren't after him, but after Kilgrave himself!
Obadiah, not daring to hesitate, immediately set off back to North America. Although they weren't coming for him, there was no guarantee that they wouldn't take their anger out on him, so it was best to leave quickly.
Obadiah immediately summoned his assistant to prepare the plane, which was to take off within an hour and fly to North America.
……
A white yacht floats on the sea.
Cao Gui lay on the bow deck, leisurely enjoying a sunbath.
"Ah... Gwen, be gentle... hiss hiss hiss... yes, right there."
"Shut up!" Gwen blushed slightly and slapped Cao Gui irritably. "It's just sunscreen, don't shout."
The sound she made just now drew the attention of her parents, making her blush.
"Hehe... What are you afraid of? George and Helen are fishing, they won't notice us." Cao Gui glanced at the couple fishing on the side of the boat and said with a grin.
Just then, with a splash, two little heads popped out from under the water.
"Hey, come here quickly."
"Look what we found!"
The two little boys shouted loudly, holding some items they had dug up from the sea. Although they were so tired they were almost sticking their tongues out, their faces were still full of excitement.
On the side of the boat, George, still in the "air force," silently put down his fishing rod. He wasn't actually in the "air force," but rather his two sons' treasure hunt had disrupted the fishing, causing him to have no catch. So this wasn't an "air force," but rather a father's love!
Cao Gui and Gwen exchanged a glance. Their parents had already gone over; they couldn't afford not to.
"Look at this... and this too!"
The two little boys presented several items to George, Cao Gui, and their companions like treasures.
"A short sword...or a golden short sword?"
Cao Gui picked it up and saw that it was a European-style short knife. The handle had been completely corroded, leaving only the blade and the guard. However, a red gemstone was still embedded at the end of the handle.
It is entirely golden in color, so it should be solid gold. Perhaps it has become pitted and uneven due to being buried at the bottom of the sea for a long time.
Gwen picked up a black, horn-shaped powder barrel, the kind used by shooters in the flintlock era to hold gunpowder. Next to it were two flintlock pistols covered in mud and sand.
"What are these stones?" George asked, tossing a dark stone in his hand.
“That’s the ballast, Dad.”
"Yes, weights used to stabilize empty ships during the wooden sailing ship era."
The existence of these things proves one thing: there is a shipwreck nearby. Cao Gui looked surprised. These two little brats really did find something good.
buzz~
Just then, a large ship sailed by... not really a large ship, only about five or six meters longer and half a meter higher than Cao Gui's yacht.
"Hey guys, looks like you've found some good stuff." A bearded man looked down at Cao Gui and his companions from the ship's side and chuckled.
George frowned. The direction the ship was coming from was the same sea area where the plane full of toy powder had crashed. George instinctively loathed the bearded man.
Cao Gui's eyes flickered. This person's face... he had played Cable, Thanos, and was also Scarlet Witch's father.
------------
Chapter 183 Some people always feel they've had enough of life.
"Please excuse my rudeness; it's just childish play," George said indifferently to the bearded man with Thanos's face. He had no liking for these people.
"How about selling it to me?" the bearded man asked loudly. "You can all tell I'm a treasure hunter, and I'm very interested in these things."
"These are all toys that kids like, let's just sell them and call it a day," Cao Gui said with a chuckle.
George nodded in agreement.
The bearded man nodded upon seeing this, turned and walked back into the cabin, but the next second, he poked his head out again:
"Oh, by the way, I have a few targets over there. Please don't wander off, otherwise... it will be difficult for us to get along."
The bearded man pointed to the area of sea where the toy powder had fallen and said calmly.
"We are tourists and have no interest in treasure hunting."
Cao Gui said calmly, but his eyes narrowed slightly. "You dare to threaten me? If it were your higher-level account, I would immediately back down, but what are you now?"
"That's for the best, kid." The bearded man tossed out the words, turned and left, and the treasure-hunting ship slowly sailed away.
“Let’s go, let’s sail back, it’s time for lunch.” George called out, walked into the cabin, started the boat, and headed towards the distant shore.
George and Helen were cooking in the villa. The six of them had been swimming and diving all morning and were starving.
The remaining Cao Gui and his two siblings were cleaning up what they had found that day. Among these items, the most valuable were undoubtedly a gold dagger, a gunpowder cartridge, and two pistols.
After cleaning, it was discovered that the gunpowder cartridge and flintlock pistol were both made of silver, but they had reacted with sulfides and turned black after being buried in the sea for so long.
Silver turns black when it comes into contact with sulfides, which is why the ancients often used silver needles to test for poison.
However, it wasn't a big problem. Cao Gui and Gwen found something and did a small experiment to reduce the silver sulfide layer on the surface back to its original state.
"Huh? There are words on this pistol," Gwen exclaimed softly.
"Sister, what is it?"
"Let me see! Let me see!"
Before Gwen could even see it clearly, it was snatched away. But a moment later, they shoved the item back into Gwen's hands. Cao Gui looked at it; the writing on it was probably Latin, or maybe Spanish, Portuguese, or Italian—something he, Cao, didn't recognize.
"Gwen, what does this mean?" Cao Gui asked, puzzled.
“Sic semper tyrannis, the end of a tyrant,” Gwen said. “In modern terms, it’s the way of the tyrant.”
"What does that sentence mean?" Cao Gui asked, frowning.
“I don’t know either, I’ll have to check the information,” Gwen said, shrugging.
Cao Gui picked up the silver gunpowder tube and noticed many patterns on it. Upon closer inspection... wasn't this a map of the New World Island in the Bahamas? It was the map of the island they were standing on right now.
"We know that, it's the West Wind!"
“Yes, we guessed right, it’s the West Wind,” the two boys said excitedly.
"What West Wind?" George and Helen came out carrying dishes and happened to hear his words.
"Two silver guns and a silver powder cartridge; this person existed in American history."
“That’s right, it’s Tillman Thorpe. He was a great pirate who ruled most of South Florida,” the two kids chimed in.
"So the West Wind was his ship?" Helen asked with interest, and to be honest, she was quite interested in this kind of story.
"No, the West Wind was a ship owned by a French merchant who eloped with Tillmanthorpe's daughter and took a large amount of gold and silver with him."
"Yes, and the ship was sunk by Tillmanthorpe's daughter and that French merchant. They knew Tillmanthorpe would come to arrest them, so they deliberately sank the ship to create the illusion, even abandoning the treasure for the sake of it."
“It’s so romantic, it sounds like a fairy tale,” George commented from the side.
“Dad, these two things prove that this is more than just a story,” the little boy immediately retorted.
"Okay, okay, then you can continue your treasure hunt," George said. "But once the holiday is over, you'll all have to go back to school, understand?"
"Okay," the two little kids said listlessly.
"Also, I have some good news for you," George chuckled. "The mayor has decided to restore order in a week."
"That means you only have seven days left to find the treasure."
"Oh, no!"
