A Marine Admiral in the Marvel Universe

"shave!"

With a soft shout, Cao Gui, who was floating in mid-air, vanished instantly.

The next second, appearing beneath the falling body of the abomination, the dark thigh lashed out like a whip, striking the abomination's protruding spine hard.

Kacha!

"puff!"

He coughed up a mouthful of blood, his spine, which had just begun to recover, fractured again.

However, Cao Gui's attack was not over yet.

With a soft thud, a pale blue slash, like a battle axe, suddenly descended from the sky.

This time, the footwork is thin and wide, highlighting its sharpness compared to the past!

Swish!

As the slash passed, the hideous head of the abomination flew high into the air, spurting out foul-smelling blood.

With a loud crash, the abomination's massive body and head fell from mid-air and slammed onto the ground.

"yeah--!"

The citizens who had been watching the battle intently in front of their televisions were now overjoyed, and the wounded were weeping with happiness. That damned monster was finally dead!

In the distance, the Hulk, crouching among a pile of wrecked cars, his chest heaving violently, sometimes shrinking and sometimes expanding.

The inhibitor was very effective, and Hulk became a pushover. In the original comics, Hulk was brutally beaten by Abomination.

If Abomination hadn't used foul language towards Betty, which angered Hulk, Abomination might have actually won.

Seeing Abomination killed, Hulk, for some reason, had the urge to "go back".

"No, Hulk, you can't leave!" Banner slapped himself twice hard.

"Someone wants to capture us; we must escape!"

The fading green skin paused for a moment, then spread across its entire body again. With a leap, it jumped towards the sea and disappeared into the night.

"Hahaha, I'm still alive, you can't kill me!" The abomination, now only a head, laughed wildly. Even though his body was separated from his head, he was still alive.

Meanwhile, his body moved unconsciously, slowly crawling towards his head in accordance with instinct.

"You wait, I will definitely..."

puff!

The black foot stomped down, and the yellowish-brown head exploded instantly, like a watermelon pierced by a bullet, bursting open.

Cao Gui sneered, "Fool, you should be playing the coward at this time."

Hey~

Hey~

[Congratulations, host, you have reached 35 experience points and your rank has been promoted to Navy Lieutenant.]

[Rewards: 35 Merit Points, Character Card: Bruno (I don't have horns, that's just my hairstyle!), Character Card: Rob Lucci ("CP9's strongest member in 800 years")]

[Reward: Devil Fruit - Paramecia Type: Bean-Bean Fruit]

[Distribute military supplies (uniform, flintlock pistol, justice cape, saber, 3000 million Berries)]

Hey~

【Justice Naval System (Supporting Every Naval Soldier with a righteous heart)】

[Soldier's Name: Cao Gui (Naval Lieutenant, Swordsman Apprentice)]

[Merit Points: 161.3 million; Experience Points: 38.6/35]

Ok?

Cao Gui's expression changed. He had actually been rewarded with a Devil Fruit... It was the Bean-Bean Fruit. Well, that made sense.

The Bean-Bean Fruit is arguably one of the most useless Devil Fruits in the One Piece world.

It offers absolutely no boost to combat power, or even in any other aspect. Without support, without control, and even struggling to escape, it serves no purpose other than turning into a ball.

What? You're saying there are no useless fruits in the world, only useless users?

Haha, the person who said that is a complete loser.

The problem is, Cao Gui can't just keep this Devil Fruit forever; it's worth hundreds of millions of Berries.

Although it's a useless item, it's a very expensive one.

"System, what do you think?" Cao Gui asked, his brows furrowed slightly.

[Convert these into Merit Points; contributing special or valuable items will earn you Merit Points.]

"This function is available? Why didn't you say so earlier!" Cao Gui was a little angry; this system was completely silent.

"In that case, let's change it!" Cao Gui made the decision immediately. Even dogs wouldn't eat the bean-shaped fruit.

[After system evaluation, the host has contributed a Paramecia-type Bean-Bean Fruit and will receive 2 million merit points. Confirm contribution?]

Twenty million!?

A glint of light flashed in Cao Gui's eyes. This thing was actually that valuable!?

"Confirm...wait a minute." Without thinking, Cao Gui confirmed immediately.

But then he thought about it again and immediately stopped. He opened the panel and found that the exchange price of this item was one hundred million merit points.

"System, explain this to me, what does this mean?" Cao Gui's lips twitched. Why did it cost so much to buy, but only cost so little to sell?

As a marine with a strong sense of justice, the host should possess a spirit of exploration.

"..."

Cao Gui's eyelids twitched; he felt a strong urge to kill the system.

"Exchange it." Cao Gui sighed helplessly. He thought he had made a profit, but he didn't expect that the system would always take the lion's share.

The moment the thought crossed his mind, 2 million merit points were instantly credited to his account.

buzz~

Then, several armed helicopters roared in and surrounded Cao Gui, with numerous gun barrels pointed at him intentionally or unintentionally.

"Ok?"

Cao Gui frowned. What were these bird eggs up to?

"Sir, I am Thaddeus Ross, the person in charge here." General Ross held the microphone and spoke aloud:

"I hope you can return to your original form and cooperate with us, okay?"

“There is a second monster in this world. I think we can join forces to deal with that green monster.”

At this point, everyone on Fifth Avenue had fled. Apart from Cao Gui, there was no one else alive on the entire Fifth Avenue.

General Ross showed a willingness to cooperate, perhaps because of tonight's incident, he needed other achievements to back him up, or perhaps he admired Cao Gui's power, or maybe he wanted to deal with the Hulk.

Whatever the reason, General Ross demonstrated a willingness to cooperate.

But the problem is... isn't this attitude a bit too condescending?

Cao Gui's depressed mood, which was already caused by the bean-shaped fruit, became extremely unpleasant.

Now you're asking me for a favor, and you don't even use the polite form of address. Is this the proper attitude for asking someone for a favor?

You won't even call me "Grandpa" once!

“Sir, you should know that this matter is very important to us…” General Ross couldn’t help but continue speaking when he saw Cao Gui standing still without moving.

However, before he could finish speaking, his vision blurred and the three-meter-tall black werewolf vanished instantly.

"Storm Kick - Wolves Linked by Stars!"

With a soft shout, followed by the sound of air compression and explosion, four pale blue slashes suddenly appeared from the sky.

It roared and slashed at the propeller engine of the attack helicopter.

Boom!

With a flash of light, the rotors of the four armed helicopters exploded instantly. The next second, the secondary explosion caused the entire armed helicopter to explode, and four fireballs ignited in the night sky reflected in the flames.

Cao Gui sneered, then used his moon-walking technique to run towards the sea, finally plunging into the ocean and disappearing from sight.

The American troops stood frozen in place, unable to move. They couldn't deal with Abomination, nor could they deal with Cao Gui, who had killed Abomination.

the next day.

The news of the monster battle has spread like wildfire throughout the United States. From the western Atlantic to the eastern Pacific, everyone knows about the earth-shattering monster battle that took place last night.

The Wall Street gentry were furious about this, and the consequences were severe.

It is said that Congress held several meetings in succession, and various bills were passed forcefully in a short period of time. It is also said that the NYPD now has the power to mobilize nearby National Guard troops.

With it came the power to possess various heavy equipment; the NYPD was originally the largest violent organization in the United States besides the National Guard.

Following this incident, the NYPD's firepower has escalated to the point where it rivals that of the National Guard.

There was no way around it; the Wall Street tycoons were scared. Three monsters had appeared in total, and even tanks and armed helicopters couldn't do anything about them. The big shots had no choice but to be afraid.

At the same time, many research projects began to be subject to extremely rigorous scrutiny, especially companies like Osborne, which had a history of such scrutiny and had collaborated with the military.

According to Harry's complaints, the company was inspected three times in just one month, which infuriated Norman. He used his influence to remove a certain official from the inspection agency, and only then did the endless inspections stop.

The NYPD can be considered the beneficiary of this situation.

When General Ross proposed bringing troops into New York, the NYPD lodged the strongest protests, but... the United States is a capitalist country, and also a military-industrial complex country.

Under the immense pressure from General Ross, not only the NYPD but also the New York City government could only keep quiet, and the NYPD could only watch helplessly as others swaggered around on their own turf.

Unfortunately, I can't do anything about it.
