Chapter 473 The Elusive Combat Power of Corvus Glaive

In fact, Cao Gui had already detected the Donut spaceship's presence the moment it entered the atmosphere, even without Sitwell making a call.

The spaceship hovered over North America, attracting everyone's attention in a short moment.

S.H.I.E.L.D., Tony Stark, the governments of two North American countries, and even Kamar-Taj were shocked.

Strange looked toward New Jersey. He had just given the star map to Cao Gui a few days ago, and now aliens were showing up at his door. He couldn't help but suspect that some troublemaker had done something big in outer space.

But then he thought about it again and realized that wasn't right. Cao Gui wasn't stupid; he wouldn't be foolish enough to expose his identity. Besides, he had the Space Stone, so there was no risk of him being exposed.

The US government didn't have much to say. Numerous military bases on its territory immediately went into a state of high alert. Ground crews filled up the tanks, pilots boarded the planes, all surface-to-air missiles were disarmed, and radar locked onto targets.

If necessary, unleash a barrage of arrows.

Just then, two traction beams shot out simultaneously from the donut-shaped spaceship, heading in two directions towards New York.

With a whoosh, Black Dwarf and Corvus Glaive appeared simultaneously in front of a seaside villa on Long Island, New York, as the beam of light shot out.

"Hmm?" General Corvus Glaive held his sword, looking left and right with some confusion.

"What's wrong?" Black Dwarf's deep voice sounded as he asked curiously.

"I don't know, it seems like we're in the wrong place." General Corvus Glaive cautiously surveyed his surroundings. The location matched the intelligence report, but... something still felt off.

“Nothing’s wrong!” Black Dwarf leaned on his massive warhammer and pointed to the villa ahead.

Three people slowly walked out from there, two women and one man. General Corvus Glaive and Black Dwarf ignored the two women and locked their eyes on Cao Gui. According to the information given by the adults, the Space Stone was on this Earthling.

“Honey, who are they?” Gwen and Beth looked at the two aliens in surprise, while also glancing around their new home with suspicion, sensing that something was wrong.

The new home is the same, but it's not the same new home as before. Gwen's heart stirred slightly; her senses were sharp, and she wouldn't be wrong.

"Two aliens, can't you tell?" Cao Gui said with a shrug.

"Be more specific!" Beth said, grabbing Cao Gui's arm and swaying her hips.

Gwen crossed her other arm and watched with a smile.

"Alright." Cao Gui pulled his arm out with great difficulty, pointed at the General of the Dead Blade, and said, "This is called the General of the Dead Blade, he is... um..."

As Cao Gui was speaking, he suddenly paused, realizing that he couldn't find any information about this General Corrupt Blade, except for his abilities.

The same goes for Black Dwarf; no one even knows his abilities.

Gwen and Beth were speechless as they looked at their stunned boyfriends. Had this guy done something stupid again?

"Let's do it," General Corvus Glaive said calmly, looking at Cao Gui and the other two. "Kill these three, take the gems. The master hasn't given us much time."

"Roar!" Black Dwarf roared, carrying the giant spit, and slowly moved forward. Behind him, the Deathblade General's sword lit up, and he charged forward with a light step.

"Honey, can I have the one with the knife?" Beth's eyes lit up, and she quickly said.

“Then I’ll go deal with that big oaf,” Gwen said.

"No way!" Cao Gui said irritably, "These two are both strong, you can only fight one of them!"

“Alright.” Gwen and Beth sighed, and charged at Corvus Glaive at the same time. That big guy was obviously a strength-type fighter, maybe like Abomination or Hulk, so they thought Corvus Glaive was easy to bully.

"You're asking for death!" General Corvus Glaive sneered, raising his sword to strike at Beth, who was charging towards him.

But then, a sharp sound of something cutting through the air came from the side, and a short stick, pulled by a spider silk thread, whistled towards his temple.

Hundred Alliance Book

On the other side, Black Dwarf, who had just raised his warhammer, suddenly stopped for some reason. Apart from being able to move his eyes, he could do nothing else.

Cao Gui floated into the air, crossed his legs, and watched the battle between Corvus Glaive and Gwen and Beth.

……

the other side.

On Brick Street, Ebony Maw and Ronan stood side by side, quietly awaiting the appearance of the gem holders. There were two gems here, and Ebony Maw and Ronan had to be cautious.

"Something's not right!" Ronan suddenly exclaimed. "The communication signal between Corvus Glaive and Black Dwarf has disappeared!"

Ebony Maw glanced at his communicator, and it was indeed true.

“My master said…the holders of the Space Stone and the Time Stone are not easy to deal with…” Ebony Maw murmured. It seems that he needs to finish this quickly and then go to support the other side.

At this moment, Strange and Wong walked out with solemn expressions.

“Listen to me, Originium Holders,” Ebony Maw said, looking at Strange and Wong, “you will die at the hands of the Son of Thanos, your meaningless lives will be selflessly dedicated to…”

But just then, the roar of thrusters suddenly came from the sky, and Iron Man Tony Stark appeared above the battlefield.

These two old rivals finally met again, as if by fate, with Tony Stark facing Ebony Maw once more.

Ronan gripped his warhammer tightly, his gaze serious. Ebony Maw was a fragile mage; he could easily defeat his opponent from a distance, but he was pitifully weak in close combat.

Ronan's mission is not only to retrieve the gem, but also to protect Ebony Maw.

……

Mirror space!

"Damn it, Black Dwarf, what are you doing?" Corvus Glaive roared repeatedly, his strength waning under the combined attack of Gwen and Beth, unable to withstand either attack.

Cao Gui was somewhat puzzled. Although he didn't know much about Corvus Glaive, as the number one of Thanos' Black Order, he shouldn't be this weak.

In the original comics, he easily defeated Vision, the super-powerful robot who could wield Mjolnir, and took him down with just a few punches and kicks... Oh, right, later on, Corvus Glaive and Proxima Midnight were easily defeated by Captain America, Black Widow, and Falcon, and even lost their weapons.

In the end, they escaped thanks to the spaceship's tractor beam.

So, in that case, the Deathblade is actually quite weak... Cao Gui stroked his chin, lost in thought.

On the battlefield, Beth was surrounded by flames, and with a long military knife in her hand, the blade was crimson red. She roared and slashed out.

Gwen's spider silk shot out one after another, entangled the sword in General Corvus Glaive's hand, and with a sudden pull, the two sides wrestled.

When Gwen and Beth fight together, Beth usually takes the lead in attacking while Gwen provides support. The reason is simple: although Gwen is agile and strong, her attack power is not as good as Beth's.

With a whoosh, the hot blade slashed down, the Deathblade General's head flew up, deep blue blood spurted out, and the body collapsed limply.

Gwen and Beth retreated repeatedly, just like Cao Gui, they were also worried about the alien virus this person was carrying.

"Too weak, we haven't even really fought them yet!" Gwen and Beth chuckled, feeling pretty good about it.

Cao Gui smiled but didn't speak, pointing to the headless corpse of General Dead Blade.

The two women were stunned for a moment, then turned around and looked back. They saw the headless corpse reach out and touch something, find the head, and press it against its neck.

A strange light flashed, and Corvus Glaive was fully revived. He picked up his sword and coldly stared at Cao Gui and the other two.

Gwen and Beth were stunned for a moment, then instantly realized what was happening and glared at Cao Gui: "You bastard, you knew all along, didn't you?"

Cao Gui shrugged. He hadn't done anything wrong. It was all because you were too hasty and didn't hear the full intelligence.

The two women pursed their lips; they didn't believe that the scumbag didn't tell the truth.

Chapter 474 Promotion to General!

"Damn it..." General Corvus Glaive broke out in a cold sweat. Putting aside the two women's combat power, the strange behavior of Black Dwarf alone made his scalp tingle.

He knew Black Dwarf all too well; he was incredibly powerful, and even adults couldn't easily defeat him.

But right now, he is inexplicably immobilized and cannot move. Corvus Glaive cannot figure out the reason, but he knows it must be related to that man, and it must be related to the gem holder!

"Damn it... How can the people on this planet be so strong..." Corvus Glaive's face was gloomy. Their civilization was so backward, but they were stronger than him when it came to fighting!

Corvus Glaive felt as if his heart had sunk into an ice cellar. He deeply regretted splitting his forces; if he had acted together with Ebony Maw, things wouldn't have turned out this way!

"Damn it..." Corvus Glaive gripped his sword tightly. He had to rescue Black Dwarf, otherwise he would surely die fighting alone. But defeating that man amidst the attack of three people... would be very difficult!

"It's time to fight to the death!" General Corvus Glaive's eyes flashed with malice. He put away his contempt and focused all his attention on the situation.

“Interesting…” Cao Gui chuckled. When he first arrived, this alien was incredibly arrogant and looked down on everything, but now he was able to realize his mistake so quickly, which was quite surprising.

Thanos's minions were not weak, but unfortunately they ran into him.

"Honey, he's all yours now," Beth said, waving her hand as she wrinkled her face and rubbed her stomach, "Hmm... I'm hungry."

One of the drawbacks of the Extremis virus is that it burns up the body's energy; under normal circumstances, one would become extremely hungry after just one fight.

In the original comics, Killian became like a demon towards the end, not only because Tony set him on fire, but also because after a long battle, the Extremis virus in his body burned off his fat and began to burn deeper levels of energy.

If energy can be replenished afterward, the Extremis virus's self-healing ability won't cause damage to the body, but... Killian doesn't have an aftermath.

He was blown away by a missile fired by Chili Pepper!

Seeing this, Gwen also lost interest in fighting. Her attack power was the weakest among the three, and she couldn't quickly defeat the enemy.

"Alright... since that's the case, let's finish this quickly!" Cao Gui's eyes lit up with purple light. Strange was still a rookie, and if Ebony Maw really managed to steal the gem, things would get complicated.

Unlike Dormammu, Cao Gui was not locked in an infinite time loop by Thanos.

Rumble!

A thunderous roar suddenly erupted, and a muffled explosion seemed to explode right next to one's ears.

In an instant, Corvus Glaive felt the air suddenly sink, as if he were sinking into a swamp, with every move he made being hindered by enormous resistance.

"Roar!"

Just then, a roar rang in his ears, and General Corvus Glaive felt a sudden relaxation on his body, cold sweat seeping out like a broken faucet.

"The enemy is not simple!" Black Dwarf roared, swinging his giant hammer and charging towards Cao Gui.

The best offense is defense!

Having been through many battles, he knew this very well. General Corvus Glaive was already intimidated before the battle even started. He had to gain the upper hand and boost morale!

Seeing this, Corvus Glaive leaped to his side and stayed close to Black Dwarf, who was his only ally and they had to fight together!

Boom!

A sudden burst of purple flames erupted from Cao Gui's body, like a raging fire soaring into the sky. A fierce wind suddenly arose, and a wave of air, as powerful as a mountain collapsing into the sky, pressed down on him.

Gwen gritted her teeth. That damn scumbag has gotten even stronger!
