Beatrice plans to use another method to inspire her students' learning.

In the years leading up to this year, the academy's student council received a bounty from the Warriors' Guild, forwarded by the instructors.

The mentor promises a reward and dispatches a suitable apprentice or full-fledged mage to complete these bounty orders.

That's how the resident monks came to be.

Beatrice plans to establish a Mage Guild within the academy, modeled after the Warriors' Guild's points system, with points also serving as the currency for exchanging rewards.

During the Mage Servant stage, the Mage Guild's points are derived from course exams and classroom quizzes.

After becoming a mage apprentice, you can earn points by completing bounty missions.

The rewards that can be redeemed with points were not listed in the questionnaire.

The question was simply whether they agreed with Beatrice's proposal.

Just as Shazo was considering how to answer, Kulov tapped the table lightly and said:

"Only by constantly absorbing obedient elements can a mage's apprentice expand his spiritual ocean; he needs to travel far and wide to find traces of unruly elements."

"This is from the introduction to meditation."

Xia Zuo looked up at his mentor and nodded in response.

Kurov poured himself some tea using the teapot, saying as he did so:

"We will include the location where the Unruly Element appears as a reward in the Mage Guild."

Xia Zuo tilted his head, squinted his eyes, and asked in confusion:

"Professor, don't you need the Untamed Elements? Why don't you absorb them yourselves?"

“The element of unbridledness comes in many forms.”

Kulov put the teapot back on the coffee table, picked up the teacup and brought it to his lips. "A mage apprentice can only tame the weakest, most unruly elements. You'll understand when you read about introductory meditation techniques later."

Xia Zuo watched his mentor drink his tea, then felt a little thirsty and picked up his own teacup to take a sip. He then picked up his pen and wrote "Agreed" in the blank space of the last question.

The question didn't require an explanation, so he didn't write anything else.

Xia Zuo capped his pen and handed the completed questionnaire to his tutor.

"Professor, am I the only one who needs to fill out this questionnaire?"

"You're not the only one. Every professor has students they admire, and they're all filling out questionnaires right now."

While Shazo was writing, Kulov had already read through all the answers, and now he simply folded the questionnaire back into its small square shape.

As he stood up from the wooden chair, he said:

"Wait six months, when the final exam results are released, you will know who they are, and they will know who you are."

Shazo watched as Kulov walked around the desk toward the door, seemingly about to leave the alchemy room, and stood up to ask:

"Can I try some other poisons?"

Kulov waved his hand behind him, his tone amiable:

"You may use the alchemy table and poison bottles here. But only for making apprentice-level poisons."

Shazo watched the other person leave, then sat back down in his chair, reviewing his earlier performance in his mind. He shouldn't have given anything away, and Kulov seemed quite open-minded.

Um..

She's quite open-minded towards good students. All teachers are like that.

Xia Zuo walked to the alchemy table, picked up the remaining two vials of Black Eye Poison, and poured them into his mouth together.

At the same toxin concentration, increasing the dosage will only prolong the duration of the negative effects.

He rested on the table for two minutes, easily getting through the hallucinations and hearing loss.

"tsk"

Xia Zuo, still not satisfied, walked towards the poison cabinet and found chlorophyll and ginger extract again, preparing to make a full pot of black eye poison in one go.

One hour later.

Health 4245

..

The drying process took a while, and more toxins were added, causing the rate of health loss to exceed the rate of health regeneration, resulting in a slight loss of health.

This is just a minor issue.

Xia Zuo stood smugly in front of a row of twenty vials of Black Eye Poison. With a wave of his hand, he scooped up three vials and poured them into his mouth, a satisfied look on his face.

Since Kurov said to use it freely, then... just drink it!

Trainee-grade toxic agent, large quantity, enough to fill you up!

Noon four months later.

Today is Saturday.

After five days of classes, I can finally relax a bit.

Most of the students dining in the cafeteria looked relieved.

University life is comfortable with food and clothing, but the academic pressure is immense.

Two weeks ago, the professors announced to their students the new general education course exam arrangements and the proposed establishment of a Dharma Masters Association.

Every freshman felt a much heavier burden on their shoulders, fearing that they would fail the exams in a row and be forced to drop out of Xingye Academy.

This is so embarrassing, it's extremely hard to accept.

Especially after witnessing the prosperity of the kingdom's capital and enjoying the excellent material conditions in the academy, no one would be willing to drop out and return to their backward and dilapidated hometown.

Everyone aspires to become a mage apprentice, officially register in the Mage Guild, accept bounty orders from various provinces and cities, earn silver coins and fame while accumulating enough points to redeem rewards within the guild.

Under the dual pressure of exams and future aspirations, students consciously compress their weekend rest time of one and a half days into a full day, or even half a day.

The rest of the rest of the break time was used for self-study.

Humans are social animals, and this applies to studying as well.

When you're reading alone in your dorm room without anyone supervising you, it's easy to get distracted. Gazing out the window at the beautiful weather and the shimmering lake, your thoughts drift away to the heavens.

Most students will find a place to read in the library.

Regardless of whether they know each other, they are used to sitting one seat apart, leaving a seat between each other to maintain a suitable distance.

When this tacit understanding of seat selection becomes an unspoken rule, there won't be enough seats in the library.

Students who want to study in groups will come to the cafeteria, where they will sit at a square table in groups of several, from Sunday morning to evening, without even having to move to eat.

Over time, small groups of students began to occupy the best spots in the library and restaurants.

Every weekend, they would take turns arranging people to stand guard at the seats, so that even if they went for a walk outside the university, they could still study in the most comfortable place when they came back.

Xia Zuo originally didn't plan to study in public places; he was more efficient at studying alone.

Inside the dormitory, there were no footsteps, no suppressed laughter, and no occasional coughs.

There are no distracting noises that would interrupt your thoughts, and your focus will always be at its peak.

But Anru wanted to see him and wanted someone to be by her side while she studied.

Xia Zuo had no choice but to meet her on weekends, carrying a bag of books with him.

At first, they tried studying together in the cafeteria.

Because I simply couldn't get a seat in the library.

A group of regulars at the library got up earlier than usual, and after grabbing their favorite seats, they took a nap on the table.

Xia Zuo and Anru were astonished by the sight of people flocking into the library.

The two turned back towards the restaurant. However, the less distracting corners were occupied by small groups. The remaining seats were not very efficient for studying.

As for classrooms and dormitories, forget about them.

The castle manager, Dimcal, made provisions in the castle's rules.

Article 5. Outside of class time, no student may go to any classroom without permission.

Article 7: No one is allowed to enter the dormitory of the opposite sex, nor the same sex. Each person is only allowed to enter their own dormitory.

Seeing An Ru'er's dejected look, Xia Zuo slapped his forehead and decided to go find his mentor.

The poison alchemy area is large enough, and because the number of students in the department is so small, classes are usually held in the alchemy lab, and the small classroom next door is never used.

Xia Zuo stood in front of his mentor, blushing unusually, and asked An Ru'er to study in the small classroom in the Poison Alchemy area.

"Anruer?"

Kulov stroked his beard, gazing at his favorite student with a smile in his eyes. He vaguely remembered this dark-haired girl; she had always sat next to Shazo during toxicology class.

A thick picture book floated in from the bookshelf and was opened in front of the soft sofa.

Kulov glanced at the words on the paper, then picked up the pen on his desk and wrote a few sentences on the letter.

The letter flew out of the poisonous alchemy zone.

A few minutes later, a letter flew back containing a reply from the castle manager, Dim, and a key.

Xia Zuo recognized the key; it was used to open the metal wardrobe in the shower room.

"take it."

Kulov tossed the key to Shazo and said with a smile:

“Anru’er’s spiritual ocean is almost at the level of a mage apprentice. You can make novice-level poisons with her and communicate more; you will gain something different.”

"Thank you, Professor."

Xia Zuo took the key and bowed to his mentor in gratitude.

A short while later, Xia Zuo and Anru entered the poison alchemy area and thanked Kulov again.

In a small classroom separated from the alchemy room by a wall, the two lifted the hoods covering their hair and took off their leather gloves. There were no poison bottles here, so they could loosen the special alchemy-grade robes they wore.

"Did Professor Kurov scold you...?" Anru sat to the side, looking down and whispering.
