Tonight, Alice joins the hunt.

'Bang—' In an instant, more than a third of the police station, converted from an art gallery, was destroyed. The station's measures, exquisite artworks, and sophisticated mechanisms all turned to dust within seconds. Even the zombies and Lickers who had long lost their intelligence scattered like birds and beasts in the face of their biological instincts and sense of danger, while in the center of the ruptured area, a bluish-gray giant, at least five meters tall, covered in hard keratinous scales and swirling with the aura of turbulent blood and qi, stood proudly.
The giant's gaze slowly shifted, his pale yellow eyes revealing no emotion that could be discerned by mortals, his expressionless gray face and pale yellow eyes showing no change in his expression.
She wasn't an ordinary person, so she knew what that meant.
“It’s just following the character design. Since I’m going to make a scene, I might as well go all the way.” Alice’s turquoise eyes flickered to pale purple for a millisecond or two between her words, then immediately returned to their original color. “My name is Alice. I am a survivor of the Hive incident. Umbrella captured me after my escape and subjected my body to a series of inhumane experiments and modifications. Now, ‘I’ have broken free of my restraints and unexpectedly gained the Red Queen’s approval, along with the power to earn my own freedom…”
"I followed the scent of living people to the Raccoon City Police Department, only to unfortunately brush past the survivors who had escaped the clutches of bio-weapons. However, I was not discouraged, because I discovered a mutated version of the T-103 Tyrant belonging to the Umbrella Corporation inside the Raccoon City Police Department. And now, I am filled with hatred for everything Umbrella."
She raised her hand, and the wreckage of the building, twisted and destroyed by her telekinesis, rapidly rose, floated, gathered behind her, and were reshaped into thousands upon thousands of sharp swords.
"And I also believe that the T-103 Tyrant, which recently spared the lives of those survivors due to 'physical maladjustment,' should now be filled with rage and hatred, and ready to transfer its anger at failing to catch prey onto other living creatures... Do you think I'm right?"
The bluish-gray giant remained silent, but its body and pale yellow eyes gradually flushed crimson with its increasingly rapid breathing. It mobilized the energy within its cells, causing its cold blood to boil and burn. It pounded its bare chest several times, producing a thunderous roar, and a broken stone pillar beside it collapsed. Reaching out, it scooped up the broken pillar, which transformed into a four-meter-long sword forged from steel and cement, which landed in its hand.
“So you agree. Well, biological weapons are the kind that don't need words. Then…” Alice snapped her fingers. “Let’s… have a good fight!”
The sound barrier was broken, and a series of white sonic booms erupted behind Alice. The swords projected by telekinesis arrived in front of the giant in less than half a second! They shattered upon contact, unable to withstand even a millisecond of impact, and were crushed into dust by the impact!
The air tore apart, and the giant, bluish-gray shadow instantly crossed the obstacle of over a hundred meters, raising its giant sword and charging towards Alice's side. The visible psychic shield was shattered with a single blow, and the second slash went straight for the girl's waist.
Sliced in two, the body cleaved in two, the torn shell shattering into paper-thin pieces in mid-air. More swords rained down from the sky, then the giant's spinning slash conjured a towering tornado that twisted the trajectories of all the swords!
The thousands of blades that shot out became the giant's power. Judging from the exquisite moves, it was clear that the giant had at least unlocked the third stage of its genetic lock. Without uttering a word, the shockwave from its slash instantly forced a light-reflecting shield hidden a hundred meters away to emerge from its concealment. The tornado formed from these thousands of blades then caught up, slicing and crushing a small block of several hundred meters in radius into a depression like a collapsing mountain.
"Is it lacking in both quality and sharpness? It seems only a weapon of the monomolecular blade level could possibly break through defenses in this way." Alice's voice echoed from above. The protective shield previously shattered by the tornado, along with its contents, were merely inductive entities created by Red Queen on her shoulder. Hovering nearly a hundred meters in the air, she raised her hand, and thunder and lightning surged across the Raccoon City sky. Thick clouds gathered, swirling with psychic power into vortexes, and at the center of these vortexes, dense lightning converged into one.
'Crack! Crackle!'
A bolt of lightning, as thick as a bucket, suddenly struck. However, the giant stopped with one foot, and dozens of steel bars laid in the concrete floor burst through the concrete under the force of the shock. Before the lightning struck, they leaped up like snakes emerging from their holes, forming an interlocking network above the giant's head.
This is a Faraday cage, which is extremely effective against lightning strikes other than those caused by magic. Although it is simple and crude, it is still effective. The extreme heat spreads rapidly outward while the lightning is being conducted away. In that instant, measured in milliseconds, just as the steel protective cage is about to turn into molten iron, the giant's rising slash pulls the molten iron cage wrapped in lightning off the ground and throws it into the sky!
The descending lightning returned to its caster along the same trajectory. Alice raised an eyebrow, and the second bolt of lightning vaporized the molten iron net wrapped in lightning into mist before it could touch her. She then stirred it with her psychic power, and the iron mist, its kinetic energy dissipated, was reforged into a three-meter-long greatsword. An insulated hilt was then formed, and as the third bolt of lightning wrapped around the blade, Alice's hand gripped the hilt of the greatsword.
From top to bottom, from heaven to earth.
--cut!
A visible ring of air expanded outwards, and shattering lightning and flames spread across the land like a spider web. In the same instant, all the windows in the entire block near the police station shattered, and the sword collided with the knife.
The giant's calves sank into the semi-molten concrete, while Alice streaked through a three-story building like a meteor. Even with the aid of lightning and gravity, the giant still had the upper hand in the struggle, but before the giant could pull its feet off the ground, the entire building that had been pierced was uprooted by telekinesis.
The giant ripped the building in half with a single slash, but more buildings and structures were lifted from the ground along with their foundations by telekinesis and converged on the giant standing in the lava pool!
This is the second round, and the outcome of this battle cannot be determined in a short time.

"Monster... no, this is a natural disaster."
While two superhuman beings in disguise were engaged in a half-hearted contact battle using their enhanced powers—the third stage of unlocking genetic locks and AA-level enhancements—in the Raccoon City Police Department, in the half that was barely intact from being shredded into construction debris by Alice's opening telekinesis, a woman wrapped in a trench coat carefully held her breath.
Her name is Ada Wong, a multi-talented agent. Her current mission is to retrieve the G-virus source material that has been found at the Umbrella Corporation base in Raccoon City, at the request of Wesker, a high-ranking Umbrella executive. Not long ago, posing as an FBI agent, she approached rookie officer Leon and completely outmaneuvered the slick-haired young man. Then, noticing the involvement of Celine and her group, she discreetly separated from Leon and secretly observed them to assess their abilities.
She wanted to enter the Hive, but she couldn't do it alone. Her keen senses as a seasoned agent, or rather, the instinctive intuition of a shrewd woman, clearly told her that something extraordinary had happened in Raccoon City that she couldn't comprehend. So she decided to find her help among the survivors—she had been secretly observing Sirin and the others while they fought the Tyrant, and she originally planned to reveal herself in a logical way after the Tyrant's defeat and try to gain their trust.
She had planned everything meticulously, but fate dealt her a harsh blow—the tyrant's sudden mutation and the survivors' panicked escape disrupted her entire plan. Just as she was suppressing her instinctive fear and staying behind to record the mutated tyrant using a remote camera, Alice's sudden attack that blasted half the police station to pieces shattered her worldview.
This was just the beginning, and the ensuing battle terrified her. She wasn't sure if these two natural disasters in human form had already detected her presence; she only knew that her current situation was basically like that of a deer at the foot of a volcano during an eruption—if she didn't escape, she'd become roast meat!
And there was only one escape route left, since leaving the police station meant certain death.

Section 21. Hello William...and Goodbye
The only way to survive is to go underground, from the police station lobby... no, that place has been destroyed by Alice's psychic storm, so the only option is to go down into the secret shaft of the underground garage, to the place where Leon and Dr. William, who was infected with the G virus—the humanoid monster that Sirin and the others deduced—fought, and then descend through the gap where Dr. William fell into the depths of the sewers, and then escape through Raccoon City's complex sewer system!
This is not a safe path. Even with the information she currently has, she knows that the sewers are full of zombies, mutated creatures with deformed bodies, dangerous G-type adults, and even Dr. William, who is definitely not dead... But even if they are all combined, they probably can't compare to that gray-blue giant outside that looks like a T-103 Tyrant, but whose core is some kind of monster!
[Umbrella couldn't have made something like this; some unexpected change must have occurred. The woman fighting the Titans was too far away to see clearly, and the surveillance cameras were jammed, but I feel like I've seen her in a recent intelligence report… Who could she be?]
[Let's focus on saving our own lives first; continuing to lie low would be foolish. Even if there were huge profits involved, we need to consider whether we can handle them. However, what I can't do alone, we can accomplish with the help of the entire Umbrella Corporation... I remember there's a hidden repeater somewhere in the sewers; we should be able to contact Wesker through it. He'd probably be interested in these anomalies.]
Without hesitation, she acted with the speed and precision befitting a seasoned agent. Before the two humanoid calamities outside the police station could expand the battleground to the point of crushing the entire station into pieces, Miss Ada swiftly slipped into the underground parking garage along a concealed route, then entered the hidden underground platform through a disguised shaft. When her feet touched the ground, there was a violent shaking and a series of collapsing sounds; clearly, the Raccoon City Police Department was no more.
"Looks like I'm pretty lucky." She took out a rope javelin, a must-have for professional agents, from her trench coat. Her light weight allowed her to slowly slide down the thin steel cable, about the thickness of a pencil lead, from the gap where Dr. William had fallen. She was lucky; the distance from the gap in the fence to the sewer was only about thirty meters, and her rope javelin was more than enough to handle the descent from a mere ten-story height.
She paused briefly when she was about five meters from the point of impact... or rather, the point of impact. Below her was a large sewage pool with an area of nearly two thousand square meters. After shining her flashlight downwards to examine the area, she was not surprised to find that there was not a single sign of life around the sewage pool. Undoubtedly, Dr. William, who had fallen from above, had already moved to another part of the sewer system—perhaps a heavily polluted area with a high concentration of organic matter, where he could obtain a large amount of nutrients to repair his body.
I hate sewage in the sewers.
Although the female agent, protected by her heavy coat, didn't intend to discard it, she didn't carry a second rope javelin to provide a lateral axis of movement. She freed one hand, bit down on the necessary tools like a flashlight, and tugged at several hidden zippers on her coat. The heavy coat, as it fell into the water, inflated into a small raft. She then controlled the rope javelin to slowly descend onto the raft before silently moving it towards the shore railing—she dared not fall directly into the water; who knew what strange things might be lurking beneath?
With a 'thud,' she climbed over the railing beside the sewage pool.
The surroundings were quiet, except for the faint dripping sound and the rumbling of the earth overhead, which sounded like muffled thunder. She then put away the steel cable connected to the grappling hook and used a silenced pistol and a flashlight set to diffused light mode to proceed with her next move.
[This is directly beneath the Raccoon City Police Department, so the Raccoon City underground sewer system is... well, there's a maintenance room about 200 meters away, and from there it's only a few dozen meters to the hidden relay station. However, I might encounter some homeless people and maintenance workers turned zombies along the way, so I'd better be careful.]
She took a slow breath, the stench from the sewer making her frown slightly. But it didn't bother her much; she could barely tolerate it. Compared to the purely physical discomfort caused by the smell, the low temperature from the numerous ventilation ducts in the sewers probably had a greater impact on her—it was only a day or two until October, and after taking off her heavy coat, she was only wearing a red sleeveless dress.
It is beneficial for combat and aesthetics, but it does nothing to help with temperature control.
She exhaled a soft breath of warm air, then quickly left and began her underground journey.
The process went smoothly, with virtually no obstacles encountered along the way... There were some zombies, but she dealt with them all easily. After all, she wasn't a novice like Leon; in this quiet environment, while remaining vigilant, she could clearly perceive every minute movement within a ten-meter radius around her. Whether stationary or active, all the zombies were detected and eliminated in advance. The only one blocking her path, a massive and incredibly destructive G-type zombie, was bypassed by her rope javelin. She reached the hidden underground location of the relay station with minimal effort.
Without any hindrance or delay, as soon as she opened the communication panel, entered the specific password, and established the connection, Wesker's cold and stern face appeared at the end of the screen as if he had been waiting for her all along—she sensed something was wrong almost the instant she saw that face!
This is not Wesker!
Without evidence or reason, she instinctively drew this conclusion the moment she saw the face behind the screen—the person standing there was definitely not Wesker, absolutely not, even if he had the same face, the same hairstyle, and wore the same sunglasses. That person was definitely not the Wesker she knew. Because… the moment she saw that face behind the screen, she felt as if she were wandering alone on the Siberian plains under the moonlight in the dead of winter, and a blizzard was hitting her head-on, powerful enough to freeze steel to dust in seconds!
The goosebumps and the rush of blood to her head were barely enough to describe the state she was in. When she saw that face, her first thought was even a swift and decisive suicide. Because the dead don't need sight, they don't need to see that face on the screen! Even though that feeling quickly vanished like a hallucination, the cold hands and feet and the rapid heartbeat were undeniable evidence.
“You don’t look well, Miss Ada,” Wesker’s deep, slightly magnetic voice came from the screen. “And I don’t think you can get the G-virus I want in such a short time.”
"Perhaps you can prove that my idea was wrong?"
Even through the screen, Miss Ada could clearly sense the oppressive aura emanating from the man at the top of the food chain. But as expected of a seasoned agent, despite being terrified and her legs trembling, she maintained a calm demeanor on the surface.
Calm down, calm down. Since things are taking such a strange turn, she should seize every opportunity. Her intuition told her that she was now involved in some major event, and hanging up now would likely lead to some terrible consequences.
“I’m sorry, I haven’t gotten my hands on G yet…” She quickly changed the subject, producing the videotape used during the police station shoot without a moment’s hesitation. “But I’ve made some discoveries that are far more significant than the G virus itself, like this.”
She inserted the videotape into the port below the display screen, and the scene of the tyrant fighting the nameless woman immediately began playing on the screen on Wesker's side.
Wesker's expression remained unchanged.
Miss Ada also held her breath, while preparing to shut down her communication terminal at any moment.
One minute later...
"I must admit, you are a lucky lady. This information is indeed of some value to me. The mission you previously received to seize G remains unchanged, but the reward has been tripled. You also don't need to contact these anomalous creatures, as I will arrive in Raccoon City within 24 hours to handle them personally."
"I thought you would assign me an extra job."
“Don’t underestimate my magnanimity, Your Majesty. I won’t waste my talent on things beyond their capabilities.” Wesker nodded slightly to her from behind the screen. “And as your employer, I can give you an important piece of information. A woman who is extremely dangerous to everyone will arrive in North America within six hours, and after she arrives, the entire Raccoon City will undergo some… unpredictable changes. If you want to ensure your safety, then get G as soon as possible; it may be your only hope for survival.”
"Extremely dangerous" means...
“You can use your imagination to your heart’s content, Ida. Remember, you only have six hours.”
The moment she finished speaking, Miss Ada's screen went dark. She breathed a sigh of relief, but the next moment a voice from behind her sent chills down her spine!
“I really dislike the word ‘magnanimity.’ It always makes me feel like I’m facing a psychopathic killer. Although that’s exactly what it is.” The speaker was a woman who was no more than twenty years old and had a very pure American accent. When Miss Ada heard those words, her first reaction was to raise the gun in her hand and point it behind her back—her instincts stopped her arm, and when she turned around, she couldn’t help but feel extremely fortunate.
Before my eyes came a blonde girl. Blonde, a girl, but dressed in Japanese samurai armor. A samurai sword was strapped to her back, and her brilliant blonde hair was tied up in a delicate large bow.
There was nothing strange about her, nor did it trigger any premonitions of danger in Miss Ada. She looked like a female college student who enjoyed cosplay. However, as Miss Ada's gaze descended, her heart began to pound when she saw something the girl was carrying in one hand.
It was a head that had been cleanly severed, a head that she knew very well, that she had seen not long ago, and that she considered William the greatest enemy in this sewer.
“Hello,” the girl dressed as a samurai tilted her head slightly and looked at her. “My name is Catherine, Catherine Warren. A poor child who was almost turned into a live specimen by Umbrella’s henchmen half an hour ago.”
"And now I need a reason not to turn the people of Umbrella into specimens... Can you give me one?"

Chapter Twenty-Two: This is too much! This is too much!
While a seasoned agent is facing a major crisis in his life, on the other side of Raccoon City, something that should be considered a fundamental rule of the world's operation inevitably happens.
"This car is broken." Leon looked at the steering wheel that had been completely ripped off because of his excitement, and the brake that had been broken because he had subconsciously activated the gene lock and failed to control his strength. However, he felt no annoyance at his driving mistake, only deep relief.
What am I glad about? Of course, I'm glad I escaped with my life.
The car didn't stop at the weapons shop, of course. After all, the area that used to be a police station was now a scene of chaos comparable to a world war. Under such circumstances, anyone who dared to continue on their original route to the weapons shop two blocks away was simply incredibly bold... no, their heads were filled with nothing but guts!
Who knows what that giant monster actually looked like, or what kind of creature fought against it that defied human comprehension—Leon didn't know, Claire didn't know, and neither did Marvin and Sherry.
As swirling clouds appeared in the sky, and lightning and flames rained down like a storm, they lost the ability to think. Their minds were consumed by the thought of escape; nothing else could possibly occupy their thoughts. The person gripping the steering wheel frantically floored the accelerator, while the others screamed and roared incoherently. When the storm subsided and the group miraculously regained their senses, they were astonished to find themselves driving from the center of Raccoon City to the other side without encountering a single accident!
The credit for this feat is self-evident. While the group was frantically speeding down the street, they hadn't realized it, but when they came to their senses, they all instinctively cast grateful glances at Sirin, who sat by the car, gazing blankly at the night sky. During the previous fifteen minutes of frantic street racing, it was she who, remaining conscious, had taken down at least twenty bio-monsters blocking the road or lurking in the shadows, ready to attack. Of course, the price she paid was that the group had almost run out of ammunition.
The group looked at her, but Miss Sirin was oblivious.
"Are all FBI agents this thick-skinned?"—This thought subconsciously crossed their minds. But when they saw that Celine wasn't blushing, her heart wasn't racing, her breathing was normal, and she was simply gazing calmly at the night sky, that thought transformed into, "Is this girl really from the FBI?" And when the distant roar of the natural disaster subsided and didn't repeat itself, and the car, its engine smoking, finally came to a stop on the side of the street after leaving a skid mark several meters long, they subconsciously began to regard Ms. Celine as their pillar of support.
Claire glanced at Leon, Leon at Marvin, and Sherry, nestled in Claire's arms, trembled uncomfortably. They wanted to ask Celine about her next goal, but were afraid of disturbing her, who was clearly deep in thought, perhaps studying something important—they looked at each other, and finally Leon broke the awkward silence that had lasted for about a minute.
"Um... cough, Claire, you said at the police station that Sherry's father was there?"
As Leon uttered those words, he immediately considered slapping himself—what had he just said? Although he didn't know what had happened at the police station, it was clear there couldn't be any survivors. And Sherry's father, naturally—he gave an awkward laugh, then Claire glared at him.
Perhaps in another second, Claire will punch him in the nose. But before that...
"Daddy, he's actually gone a long time ago." Shirley's voice was low and sorrowful as she curled up like a quail. "Daddy turned into a huge monster and killed so many uncles and aunts... Daddy was in so much pain. Daddy wanted to kill Shirley too, but Daddy let Shirley escape..."
The words were just a single sentence, but they contained a tremendous amount of information. The people in the car exchanged bewildered glances, while Leon almost immediately thought of the humanoid monster he had shot from the underground machine room into the sewers—the creature had distinctly human features, but half of its body was deformed flesh and grotesque giant eyes… He vaguely remembered hearing indistinct words when he was dealing with the creature with shotgun shells and grenades; at the time, he thought it was just a hallucination caused by excessive tension, but now…
“…I encountered a humanoid monster who might still have some sense of reason in the secret passage beneath the statue.” Leon finally decided not to hide anything and instead told the whole story directly. “I…injured that guy, and he fell into the sewers.”
“…Daddy won’t die.” Shirley shook her head sadly. “Lots of uncles in black clothes shot Daddy with big guns, but Daddy was fine… He was just in a lot of pain, and then… Waaah…”
Claire gently hugged Sherry.
“Don’t worry, we’ll help you find your father. And then…” She tried to soften her voice as much as possible. “We’ll let him rest in peace.”
