A screen of light appeared beside her, and at that moment, everyone in the world noticed the image displayed on it. It showed a border of an Eastern European country, where a group of mercenaries were destroying a watchtower, killing everyone, and burning the country's flag on a garbage heap. As Alice activated the screen, one of the mercenaries, who was holding a tablet computer, suddenly shouted, and everyone saw the screen Alice had projected appear on the tablet.

“I said an hour ago that all conflicts between nations should cease. Yet there are still those who defy me. Some nations are attempting to circumvent my restrictions through proxy wars waged by mercenaries, but this is a foolish tactic,” Alice said calmly, extending her hand and making a light sweeping motion on the curse ritual unseen by those in the conference hall.

The next moment, an invisible information wave descended from the satellite network, accurately striking the latitude and longitude of the mercenaries. Using their real names and birth dates as structural points, this information wave didn't damage the environment but directly generated an offensive spell within their bodies—a small, mild one. It would be ineffective against any newly minted reincarnated individual with enhanced physical abilities. But for these ordinary people without any enhancements, it was deadly enough.

Blood suddenly gushed from their faces, and seconds later, all the mercenaries collapsed like broken toys. The blood seeping from their bodies stained the foreign land red.

Unlike killing the intelligence chief, which required a series of unexpected events to ensure secrecy, Alice's task this time was simply to establish her authority. And since it was about establishing authority, it had to be done in full view of everyone.

"Seventeen people from Eastern Europe have been dealt with." Her tone was indifferent and cold, showing no regard for the pale faces of some people in the conference window.

However, the next moment she unfolded another screen of light. This time, the location revealed was in East America.

"Seventy-five people in the East American region have been dealt with."

After the second pass comes the third pass, and after the third pass comes the fourth pass.

"One thousand and forty-four people in Central Asia have been dealt with."

"Ninety-nine people in the Nordic region have been dealt with."

"The 430 people in the South African region have been dealt with."

"Two thousand three hundred and one people in South America have been dealt with."

"The West Asia region..."

The light screen disappeared around her five minutes later. She then gave a concluding speech.

"The number of people who defied me totaled 16,412, but they are no longer a problem. So now we can proceed with the first part of the meeting. I am Alice, Alice Margotrovid. That concludes the introductions. You do not need to know who I am or where I come from. There is only one thing you need to do, and that is to set aside the differences between nations and form a unified whole."

“I will tell you the reason later, but when I arrived, you all seemed to have a lot to say to me, so I will give you that opportunity now. Please feel free to speak your mind.”

She snapped her fingers, and the audio silencing between the nations was lifted. A green horn icon appeared below the window of each nation.

She was met with silence.

Not only those windows, but the entire world was silent. The ruthless and bizarre methods she had just displayed stunned everyone. Billions of viewers watching the live broadcast were completely silent, not daring to utter a single curse, for they didn't know if they would be killed along the internet cable for uttering such a curse.

After a long while, a spokesperson from a major power finally spoke, trying to remain calm.

“Ms. Alice, your behavior is inappropriate and detrimental to world peace. I personally disagree with your previous actions. I hope you can make a more rational and sober decision.” He carefully chose his words, and it took him a long time to finish a complete sentence.

People from the other major countries also expressed similar opinions.

Alice glanced at the group of people.

“Your language is inappropriate for your status,” she said, her gaze sweeping casually across the room before settling on a window of a Central Asian country. “Take this man, for example. You must be a diplomat. But I remember my request was to meet with world leaders. Do you really despise life that much?”

Half a second later, the spokesperson for that small Central Asian country coughed up blood and died in front of billions of people.

Soon, many different faces appeared in the conference room windows.

After that, naturally no one who couldn't understand the situation would mention those guys who had turned into protein aggregates. Alice was also very satisfied with the group's cooperative attitude, so she got straight to the point and projected the specific information about the Retribution Number onto the center of the conference hall.

“This ship comes from Cybertron, a flagship of a race that has existed for billions of years and is capable of traversing interstellar space on its own. It will arrive on Earth within a week at the latest, and they have no desire for peace.” She looked at the American seats. “The United States knows a great deal about this; the battle that took place at Hoover Dam yesterday was closely related to it. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have had to take charge of this matter.”

Her words caused a huge uproar in the conference hall. More than one country launched a stern interrogation of the United States, especially several major powers that have historically had a strained relationship with it, which vehemently condemned the US as a sinner of the world, deserving of severe punishment.

However, this spectacle, much like a monkey show, quickly came to an end. After Alice released the specific parameters of the Retribution, announcing its firepower, speed, and potential crew, very few people were still in the mood to speak.

They calmed down and regained the composure expected of important figures. However, behind their ramrod straight backs, Alice could easily see that they were sweating profusely.

This is a devastating force. Unless the commander is an utterly incompetent fool, it's only a matter of time before a single unit annihilates all of Earth's military forces. Earth has no means of resistance or counterattack against orbital bombardment. Even hiding in underground nuclear bunkers would only delay the attack for a few days, because a single macro cannon shell hurtling down from near-Earth orbit could easily penetrate the Earth's crust, turning the asthenosphere into a volcano on the surface.

They couldn't win, and they couldn't escape. Alice immediately blocked all their remaining options.

"Don't even think about surrendering, it's pointless. These aliens need to find new habitable planets because they've completely destroyed their homeworld. To them, intelligent civilizations on the surface are just unsightly garbage, and all of you here are objects to be cleaned up."

“And I will not tolerate surrender,” Alice added. “This is a crisis for all humanity. Anyone or any force that holds us back will be dealt with swiftly and without notice or trial. I will handle these issues through my own decisions.”

She looked at the leaders of these countries, and these important figures were all looking at her. After a few seconds, one of them asked her a question.

“Ms. Alice, since you intend to form an integrated entity, you must have a reason to do so. Humanity currently does not have the weapons and soldiers capable of space warfare, and even if it were to unite, it still wouldn’t. Or do you have a way to bring that starship down from outer space? Under that premise, we could try something.”

Alice nodded, not at all modest, and readily agreed.

“You may not have the right technology, but I do. I’ll show it to you in a way you can understand.” She snapped her fingers again, and a bunch of physical projections appeared around her. They were complete, technologically mature components that could be mass-produced immediately with the corresponding raw materials and processing equipment.

There's plenty of raw material in the world. As for processing equipment... although it's troublesome, it's not insurmountable.

"Fusion reactor, external weaponry, anti-gravity well. These are all high-tech products that you currently have no control over. Even if the instructions were written out and placed in front of you, you wouldn't understand them. And I will entrust these things to you. Your task is to build a world factory and produce these things at full capacity," Alice said, while organizing the relevant information in her mind.

Through the internet, she knew that many scientists went into a frenzy upon seeing these technologies. And it wasn't just scholars; even leaders' eyes lit up when they saw these physical projections. No matter how well they concealed it, Alice could see the longing and eagerness surging behind their ritualistic smiles.

Of course, she didn't really care... nor did she need to care.

"This is only part of it. I have other techniques to teach you as well. You will have plenty of time to master them later, but until then, you just need to follow the instructions to make the finished product."

Alice thought for two seconds.

"In addition, you will need to prepare a top-tier army. I will train and arm them, enabling them to quickly acquire the strength to perform tasks beyond cannon fodder. However, this mission is extremely dangerous, so the selection of personnel needs careful consideration. I believe you can do it."

“You’ve presented us with a difficult problem.” A high-ranking official seemed to have grasped Alice’s attitude and stance, knowing that she had absolutely no interest in worldly power. “But we are willing to take on this responsibility. It is an obligation that a responsible great power should fulfill, and we will not shirk it.”

“Not a great power, but a member of an integrated entity,” Alice corrected. “I have no trust in the bureaucratic, corporate, and partisan problems within your administrative system. You must unite as one and handle the tasks I have been given to you as a whole.”

She didn't wait for the important figures to refute her. Instead, she turned on a projector and displayed a vial of syringe in everyone's view.

“I know this is difficult for you, so I have prepared a reward for the first governor of the Unified Body and the civilization that supported him,” she explained.

"This is an anti-aging potion, a drug that can directly interfere with genes, reorganize telomeres, and greatly extend the human body's lifespan. I have prepared many doses, which will be airdropped to your capitals so that you can verify its authenticity... After that, I will hand over the information technology used to create it to the first governor."

The conference room erupted in heated debate once more. Major powers argued amongst themselves, while smaller nations awaited the outcome. But both nations, large and small, subconsciously chose to selectively forget the three smaller countries that had been unable to participate for various reasons. Yet, everyone knew that in the instant darkness ended and dawn broke, three capital cities in this world would be destroyed by nuclear flames.

Alice doesn't mind killing; she only cares whether the blood on her hands has any value.

Kill one person, awaken a city.

Slaughter one city, awaken one nation.

Slaughter one nation, awaken one world.

She can do it, and she will never regret it... if it's necessary.

Chapter Seventeen: I've said before that I won't get involved in national politics... [Please subscribe]

The meeting hall was quickly shut down, and what happened next was no longer Alice's concern—she disconnected from the satellite network and then handed over the functions of surveillance and management to Imp.

"Everything is going well, Patchouli."

"I have successfully planted the idea in the minds of the leaders of various countries. They may have doubts and be confused, but the integration will eventually be formed. Next, we just need to make other preparations and then reap the rewards at the right time."

From the very beginning, Alice had no intention of personally building an alliance of nations. She didn't have the time to allocate the vast array of resources, nor the energy to engage in power struggles with these old politicians.

Therefore, this meeting was a trap from the start, and it's understandable that they would lose their composure. Alice never intended to negotiate properly; the entire virtual meeting hall was a powerful source of suggestion. Once inside, one's ability to think and judge would be significantly impaired.

When people are foolish, they become aware of their own abnormality by observing the wisdom of those around them. However, if everyone around them is a fool, then even a curse cannot reveal their own folly—and what Alice needs to do is get those old foxes into this meeting hall.

There's no other way, because humans are inherently greedy creatures. The instinct to seek advantage and avoid harm lies dormant in everyone's genes. If Alice shows even the slightest weakness, she will be targeted, attacked, and suffer even greater losses. After all, the so-called 'greater good' is there. Before the Decepticons' starships arrive, any retreat made by this 'evil woman who appeared out of nowhere trying to control the world' will be considered a great victory.

With billions of people on Earth, there will always be many intelligent individuals. And those who rise to the highest leadership positions generally possess considerable talent and ability. So…

Instead of wasting energy scheming against them, it's better to turn them into fools from the start.

Initially, they project an image of invincibility to the world, then use authoritative tactics to force these leaders to reveal themselves in the window. What follows—beyond-the-time technology, an unprecedentedly powerful enemy, even life-extending elixirs and the three nuclear explosions—is all designed to undermine the mental defenses of these leaders whose judgment has already been compromised. Once their minds are shaken, the psychological suggestions derived from this information transcend electronic networks and screens, entering and eroding the human brain behind the screen.

The idea that Alice implanted was actually very simple. That is—

—'To drive the creation of the integrated entity and extract sufficient benefits from it'

Because the interests are already very real, and the threats are undeniably present. While American corporate politics might introduce some variables, they are the nation that understands the Cybertronians best and has a very clear understanding of the power balance between friend and foe. Therefore, they are unlikely to hinder the formation of the unified entity.

Since all the world's leaders have decided to form a unified entity, those who are smart enough but not very high in rank will not actively jump out to hinder Alice's plans... at least not at the beginning. And once the effects of the anti-aging drug are proven, those old fogies hiding in the shadows of the country, wielding power, will involuntarily serve Alice and become her pawns.

Alice needed these people to do only two things for her. First, to establish a unified entity; second, to turn the data and blueprints she provided into reality and use them to arm a sufficiently elite army. The first task was far more important than the second.

"You've worked hard." Patchouli gently patted her back. "Doing something like this must be very tiring and exhausting."

"It's alright, much better than making mistakes everywhere later." Alice shrugged. "I don't intend to give these scheming guys a chance to compete with me. I'm the one in charge now, and I set the rules. In my plan, the greatest role the earthly nations can play is 'not to cause trouble.' If it weren't for the tight schedule, insufficient magic power, and lack of operational precision, I would have preferred to construct the 'Tower of Babel' to hypnotize the entire world, saving these bastards from getting in my way."

She exhaled a few breaths softly.

"I have no hope for their combat capabilities. Even if I gave them the metallurgical technology, blueprints, and even sample models, they probably wouldn't be able to form an army within seven days. We and the Autobot Cybertronians will have to hold the line on the front lines. The human nations' armies will be enough if they can just play a role in restraining, luring the enemy, and even depleting their ammunition."

"After all, they are just mortals."

She felt utterly exasperated. She had initially only planned to return to her homeland with her friends for a vacation, to collect some loot, and perhaps incidentally help her homeland in this world to settle a grudge from her past life. But after this inexplicable series of actions, she had ended up protecting the world from alien starships.

Not only did I lose a lot of things, but I also had to find ways to pass them on indirectly to fool the other party and prevent them from thinking that I had ill intentions!

That's enough!

If it weren't for concerns about the world's safety, he could easily pledge allegiance to the Decepticons using sound waves. After all, the AllSpark is useless now; he could simply seize the Source Matrix first, using it as a bargaining chip, and Megatron wouldn't object to the deal. And then, whether Earth's civilization perished or the sun's radiance faded, he could simply hide in the Great Library with Patches, activating all shielding measures, and they'd be well-hidden—they wouldn't be able to survive more than thirty days!

It was just a CC-level side quest, how could it suddenly turn into a world war? If she hadn't made it harder for herself, would she have ended up in such a miserable situation?

She took several deep breaths, barely managing to suppress her restless emotions with her reason. She felt that if she continued to think like this, she would inevitably give up on the world and let them fend for themselves. So, before that happened, she needed to do something else to distract herself.

For example...

She suddenly reached out and hugged Patchouli around the waist as she was preparing other spells. She stuck to her like a piece of chewing gum.

"Alice?" Patchouli froze, looking at her with some confusion.

"It's nothing, let me hug you." Alice buried her face in Patchouli's soft purple hair, making indistinct sounds. "My heart is so tired, I feel like I'm going to die."
