Tonight, Alice joins the hunt.

This is actually for the best. It proves that the two of them have completely severed ties with the world of reincarnation. Having lost their status and authority as reincarnators, this pair of twin creators are merely dual-powered beings who can only travel between two universes. They can cleverly survive the Great Tribulation of the Era, but they are not true gods beyond the species. They can no longer influence the chessboard. In fact, Alice only needs to make a slight arrangement, and this pair of yuri cannot even realize that the final battle has occurred or that the reincarnators have reversed their course.
Alice was able to do it, so she did it directly. The variables held by the East Sea team were thus bound by 'change' itself. And after that, Luo Ye bypassed her, completely erasing the possibility of the twin creators causing anomalies with the power of 'unchanging'.
They will never meet the Central Continent Team again, nor will they remember them. And the reincarnators of the Central Continent Team will no longer need to eliminate threats beforehand and ruthlessly kill these two people with whom they had some past acquaintance, just to ensure the smooth operation of their plans.
This is... the perfect way to end things.
After the East Sea team had dealt with everything and the remaining Reincarnation teams had been eliminated, Alice continued on her way and arrived at a somewhat desolate hill.
That was where the Central Continent Team first came into contact with the Celestials Team.
—There are a few variables that need to be eliminated in this multivariate analysis.
When Alice stopped there, she saw Luo Yinglong sitting with his sword in his arms, leaning against a huge rock.
There was no Song Tian, no Adam, no other Celestial Team reincarnators. The only one present there was Luo Yinglong, who belonged to the Celestial Team at this particular point in time and would belong to the Atlantis Team in the future.
"Is it just you?" Alice glanced at him and asked.
The boy, who resembled a winged dragon, raised his eyes to look at her, smiled, but showed no intention of even standing up.
“There was Song Tian too,” his voice, as always, was filled with youthful passion and pride. “But I just made my move and killed him—he was going to die in the next world anyway, so it doesn’t matter if he does it a little earlier.”
Alice nodded; it really didn't matter. After all, Song Tian's death was inevitable. This guy, single-mindedly devoted to the blade, would have perished at the True Person realm, possessing the Light of the Mind, even if he wasn't used by Adam, for other reasons. And since he was someone who couldn't cause any variables and was destined to die sooner or later, there was no harm in him dying sooner.
"Should we fight?" Alice looked at him and asked, "You still have a chance to hurt me right now."
"What's the point of fighting a war that won't kill anyone?" Luo Yinglong raised his hand and waved it, looking languid and powerless. "Besides, just because I can hurt you now doesn't mean I can later... I'm probably about to die, aren't I?"
Alice looked him up and down carefully.
"You are not a true god. Although you possess the Light of the Mind, you have not yet pushed it to its limit. You forcibly elevated your life level through cultivation secrets and treasures, thus reaching a realm equal to, or even slightly exceeding, that of a transcendent being. But now... how much memory do you still have of cultivation?"
“Very few left.” Luo Yinglong gave a bitter smile, taking out a jade tablet. The tablet was right in front of the two of them, and without any external interference, it was visibly dulling into pure unpolished jade. All the knowledge inscribed on it had been completely erased and destroyed, as if it had never been known in the first place.
Cultivation... this supreme power system of cultivation is dying.
Alice nodded.
"The origin of cultivation is an ancient holy emperor whose name has been forgotten since long ago. He summarized a series of runes from the operating rules of the multiverse, but he was unable to compile them into a suitable system."
"The founder of cultivation was Jun, a powerful being in the inner universe of Li Tian. He seized this knowledge held by the ancient Holy Emperor and compiled it into a roughly usable foundation."
"The ultimate master of cultivation was another Holy Emperor after Jun, whose name is now unknown. However, it organized Jun's legacy and perfected this foundation, making it a well-known and prosperous path in the multiverse. It can be compatible with any system, multiplying combat power. It can even bypass the barriers of life levels, allowing the weak to wield great power."
“But this power, this system, is about to cease to exist.” She stared at Luo Yinglong, and right before her eyes, Luo Yinglong’s aura weakened by another three points.
The power belonging to cultivation was fading from him—if Alice hadn't plucked the string of time and space with her finger, he wouldn't even have been able to exist at this point in time with a form and memories that transcended time.
"I will be killed by my past," Luo Yinglong sighed softly. He remembered countless times he had faced perilous situations and then repeatedly saved his life through cultivation—if he had become a transcendent being, these problems would never have been problems in the first place. If he were a true god, he could also use time travel to repair the past from the future.
But he is not—at least, after completely erasing the concept of cultivation, he is not.
“I’m going to die,” he repeated.
The celestial realm behind him flickered, breaking free from his control and becoming an independent small world. The next moment, a blurry phantom appeared beside him; Song Tian, who was destined to die in the future but had just been killed by him using the Time Reversal technique, was about to return to the mortal world.
Alice flicked her nails, and Song Tian disintegrated from a phantom into nothingness. Her gaze then fell, a hint of pity in her eyes as she looked at Luo Yinglong.
"Do you have any last words? You are not a saint, so you won't die too deeply. Even if the past kills you, I will still remember your last words after you disappear."
"Last words?" Luo Yinglong shook his head, like a lion wagging its mane. Even in his twilight years, he possessed a dignified and magnificent presence.
“I have no last words… I had long suspected I wouldn’t survive the final battle. I just never imagined I would lose in this way… I thought it would be a massive battle, a clash of iron and blood that surpassed all epic proportions, I thought…”
His voice gradually weakened, faded, and finally vanished into nothingness.
His form disintegrated, crumbling and collapsing in the cold wind like a sandcastle bracing against a wave. And in Alice's eyes, this individual named Luo Yinglong met his end before the three worlds of the Celestial Team.
It was a fantasy world where names had been lost. After joining the Celestial Team, Luo Yinglong, along with his deceased girlfriend, a woman named Linaya, fought against an evil force that had also lost its name. If cultivation still existed, Luo Yinglong would have won a pyrrhic victory in this battle. But now—
—After the bloody battle, he met a death where he perished along with his accomplices.
"Did he die at the moment of his one and only moment of infatuation? For this man, such an ending is not bad."
The person speaking was not Alice.
Alice turned her head and saw a woman dressed in palace attire, yet possessing an air of imposing grandeur.
—She didn't seem to have any intention of fighting.
Alice immediately understood.
"The Atlantis team should no longer exist, right?" she asked.
"There is only one Luo Hao in this world," the woman replied.
"So you don't intend to fight?"
“If you had just killed Luo Yinglong, then I would have fought you.” The woman nodded. “But now, the karmic ties have been severed.”
She turned and left.
Alice did not intervene.
—This is obvious. Luo Hao of the Demon Team and Luo Hao of the Atlantis Team clashed, and Luo Hao of the Demon Team emerged victorious. After Luo Hao of the Atlantis Team's last obsession before being assimilated, 'Luo Yinglong's fate,' was confirmed, she returned to the Demon Team and no longer concerned herself with external affairs.
Alice rubbed her forehead.
She glanced at the vast, boundless final war universe and confirmed the result: 'All reincarnation teams, except for the Central Continent Demons, have been annihilated.' While she was eliminating all future threats, the members of the Demon Team were not idly watching from the sidelines.
This final battle has reached its final stage.
But before that, there's a small, trivial matter that needs to be dealt with—
"At the moment Luo Yinglong died, I forgot all the creation myths. I don't even remember what kind of power system Luo Yinglong practiced, or how his lost power was manifested."
Alice turned her head slightly and asked.
"Can I say that you will ultimately win, Chu Xuan?"
“You can judge it that way.” — At the edge of her vision. She saw Chu Xuan adjust his glasses as usual — this man had hardly changed since before the war. And as Alice saw him, she also saw another Chu Xuan step into the void, walking into the distance with another Zheng Zha.
So her gaze shifted and she saw Zheng Zha squatting on the ground, lost in thought.
"Do you have anything to share with me about this battle?" Alice asked.
Chu Xuan did not reply, while Zheng Zha, who was squatting on the ground, slowly shook his head.
"I don't remember how I won; I only know that I survived to the end."
He stood up, exhaling to expel the pent-up frustration and irritability that had accumulated within him—he didn't know why, but the victory didn't bring him any real joy.
He shook his head.
"Let's go, let's end all of this."
Chapter Thirty-Nine: The Path of Destiny, Part Seven
The Eighth World, the Wandering Earth.
When the reincarnators arrived here, this place was exceptionally peaceful and secure.
why?
Because there's nothing left to fight for, nothing left to influence.
Ancient culture, traditions, customs, and ideas all perished with the passing of the diverse sages of the outside world. Without ancestor worship and cultural traditions, how can the concept of 'homeland' be passed down?
Earth did not become a wanderer. Because the "Wandering Earth" faction simply does not exist. From the very beginning, the inhabitants of Earth in this universe chose to abandon Earth, and then, through rigorous selection, a small number of genetically superior elites boarded spaceships and headed to distant lands.
Earth has been abandoned.
And along with them, billions of people on the Earth's surface were also abandoned.
As the apocalypse drew ever closer and numerous ominous natural phenomena appeared, chaotic fires engulfed the land, shattering order and bringing despair.
—Until the reincarnators arrive on Earth.
....................................
Alice glanced at the sun, and the abnormal self-destructive tendency within it abruptly ceased. Then she looked at the Reincarnation Watch and noticed that the tasks displayed on the watch were changing with a flickering effect.
The original task faded, disappeared, and left no trace. In its place was a short sentence.
—'Seven days on Earth.'
Ha, there's no 'mission,' not even a 'success reward' or 'failure penalty.' Clearly, the Supreme God has already concluded and is aware of everything that happened here. And perhaps this could be considered Pei Jiao's attention?
Alice looked away.
The war on the outer side appears to have reached a stalemate. Pei Jiao, Bing Feng, and Adam—these three distinct forces have likely formed a stable triangle. If the outer side remains undecided, then the fate of the multiverse will be decided solely by the final battle on the inner side of the multiverse.
The ending is already set.
At this point, even if one wanted to take action to cause some changes or create some upheaval, the possibility of doing so would be virtually zero.
Even so, the necessary procedures still need to be followed.
Alice glanced at her companions.
Most of them had their own matters to attend to, such as Zhao Yingkong and Zhao Zhuikong, Xiao Honglu, and Zhan Lan. They each had their own karmic consequences to deal with, and after receiving Alice's gaze, they all nodded slightly to her before leaving.
Luo Ye had disappeared again. Her older sister had never been one to take any action when she was around. Perhaps this was due to the inherent repulsion between 'change' and 'unchanging'. Alice actually felt the same way, but like Luo Ye, she never said it out loud.
After all, as long as the obsession of a transcendent being is unrelated to hatred, their cognition will not contain, and may not contain, emotions such as hatred or disgust. Even feelings of comfort and discomfort will not exist—which means that two transcendent beings, unless they are destined to be mortal enemies upon meeting, can inevitably coexist harmoniously.
Alice can do it, and so can Luo Ye.
As this thought surfaced in her mind, Patchouli gently nestled against her back once again.
“Alice, we have one last thing to do.” — Her voice brushed past Alice’s ear like a gentle breeze.
“I know,” Alice nodded.
She looked to the other side and saw Chu Xuan disappear, and Zheng Zha waiting for her.
“You can leave anytime you want, Margot Royd.”
“Mm,” Alice nodded in response. “Go see Adam.”
She then took a step forward and entered the void together with Patchouli and Zheng Zha.
—Adam.
Whether it's the outer multiverse or the inner multiverse, the only remaining problem to deal with is Adam.
Adam on the outside was a force to be reckoned with, invincible. Even several Holy Emperors of the same rank had fallen to his hands. Adam on the inside, however, was brooding and reserved, manipulating the chessboard. He even nearly won the game the instant he made his move.
