Chapter 1 The WW that fell from the sky
“Mr. Fury, I’m still at Blockbuster. Where has everyone else gone? I’ve finished collecting the evidence.”
Seeing that there wasn't a single vehicle belonging to the Strategic Homeland Defense, Attack and Logistics Agency in front of him, Coulson, as a newcomer, could only contact his superior, Nick Fury.
Just as Coulson was wondering if his stingy boss would cover his taxi fare if he took a taxi back to base, a meteor struck the center of the parking lot.
"boom!!"
The shockwave, carrying billowing dust, knocked Coulson over, also giving him a face covered in dust.
"Cough, cough, spit it out."
Coulson caught his breath and spat out the dirt in his mouth, but the unique earthy taste still lingered.
Standing up, as the surrounding dust gradually subsided, Coulson could only congratulate himself on his good fortune—the meteorite hadn't been too large. Otherwise, he might not even have a proper corpse left.
The next moment, Coulson was no longer happy.
A person walked out from the spot where the meteorite landed, and most importantly, he recognized this person!
"Wonder Woman?"
The familiar star-studded tiara, but with unfamiliar armor and a skirt, and those red combat boots that reached her knees. And hanging at her right hip was none other than Wonder Woman's signature weapon, the Lasso of Truth.
Coulson assured him he didn't scream in surprise. The idea of a comic book character who only exists in your imagination stepping out of your body is absolutely mind-blowing. Even knowing that the stunningly beautiful woman in front of him wouldn't do anything to you, a sense of dread still crept into the back of his head.
"It seems you know me," Diana asked the man in front of her, somewhat uncertainly.
Coulson could only muster his courage and extend his hand: "Hello, Miss Diana, I am Agent Phil Coulson, from the Strategic Homeland Defense, Attack and Logistics Agency."
“Your name is certainly long enough; it’s giving me a headache.” Diana tapped her forehead. “So, just as I thought, this isn’t my world, is it?”
“If it wasn’t an accident, then yes.” Coulson looked at the 5000-year-old girl in front of him, somewhat unsure. “If it’s alright, I’d like to report your appearance to my superior first, is that alright?”
“No problem, I think I need some time to process this news.” A thoughtful look appeared on Diana’s beautiful face.
Seeing that Coulson had slightly increased the distance, Diana couldn't help but start to think.
After all, who else would travel to the DC Universe for over 5000 years and then arrive in another magical universe?
Although the man's hairline was still normal at this moment, Diana could confirm that he was indeed the well-known Marvel rookie village chief: Agent Coulson, except that he was still a newcomer to S.H.I.E.L.D.
Diana looked around at her surroundings with a sense of helplessness.
Retrieving those few short twenty-odd years of memories from among the countless others in her mind was a troublesome task. Speaking of which, was she male or female back then? She couldn't quite remember.
However, those strange and unusual works remain crystal clear, as if they were firmly imprinted deep in my mind, and will not cause any problems no matter how long it goes by.
“Marvel, another story full of superhumans. The only thing it’s better than DC is that there aren’t as many rules against killing.” Diana smiled. But it was precisely because of the rules against killing Superman and Batman that DC’s heroes had a touch of divinity.
Marvel, on the other hand, focuses more on people, flawed people, who will also become new heroes.
Ripples spread across the space before me, creating a mirrored space like a kaleidoscope.
"Hello, stranger." Gu Yi smiled and waved her fan at Diana.
Diana smiled too.
The two women just stared at each other without saying a word.
Some things cannot be proven by words alone.
Just as you can't assume that the Riddler will never tell those disgusting riddles again, if you do, you're not far from going crazy.
The Ancient One nodded in final silence, dispelled the Mirror Dimension, and left the place.
Meanwhile, Coulson was desperately searching for that huge female warrior from before. How could she have just vanished like that?
Turning his head, he found the female warrior looking at him like a headless fly, and he scratched his head awkwardly.
"Where did you go just now?" Coulson asked with a smile.
"A friend met with me."
Are you from your world too?
“No, just an old woman in your world who wants to retire.” Diana smiled, then immediately sensed a hint of resentment.
“Uh…” Coulson looked at Diana and said the words “old woman” with a hint of irony. After all, she was a genuine 5000-year-old girl.
Diana snapped out of her reverie and glanced at Coulson, who looked embarrassed. "I have a feeling you're thinking something really offensive."
"No, I was just wondering if you needed something to eat."
Diana stared at Coulson for a moment, then looked away when she saw that he looked perfectly normal. "I want some ice cream. Take me there."
“Okay, no problem.” Coulson quickly contacted his colleagues to pick him and the demigod up.
"Next time you lie, you'd better control your heartbeat." Diana looked at the Blockbuster video store that had been sealed off, and had basically determined where she was in the timeline.
"Huh? What are you saying?" Coulson panicked a little, forgetting that Wonder Woman's ability was basically that she could hear her own heartbeat.
A lie detector branded by Wonder Woman?
Coulson glanced at the female warrior and saw that she wasn't paying attention to him anymore, and breathed a sigh of relief. Now he could only pray that his colleagues would arrive soon.
Diana smiled and said, "By the way, Coulson, don't you think my outfit doesn't suit me very well?"
“Yes, indeed.” Coulson nodded.
“So shouldn’t your Strategic Homeland Defense, Attack and Logistics Agency provide me with something I need?” Diana stared intently at Coulson. “Like clothes?”
Upon hearing Diana's words, Coulson realized what was happening and said, "I've already had my colleagues prepare the clothes."
“Not bad.” Diana smiled and patted Coulson on the shoulder.
Meanwhile, in Los Angeles, Nick Fury sat on the roadside green belt, his eyes filled with confusion, as if he no longer recognized the world he lived in.
First, a woman from some kind of interstellar team appears, along with another alien race that can transform into other people.
The green-skinned monster even became his subordinate and died in his car.
Then another real superhero appeared, straight out of a superhero comic book—a demigod. This demigod had even abandoned humanity for a century.
"The world has been completely changed."
Looking up at the sky, Nick Fury realized with a start that the world would never function the way it used to.
Chapter 2 Nick Fury's Bold Plan
Diana was somewhat confused as she was already dressed in the clothes that S.H.I.E.L.D. had supposedly prepared for her.
"Why prepare something so obviously tasteless?" Diana looked at her S.H.I.E.L.D. female agent suit uniform with resentment.
Coulson could only awkwardly rub his nose. Although in his opinion, someone like the female warrior... someone like a goddess, would be incomparably beautiful no matter what she wore. After all, her face alone was enough to make up for any difference in external appearance.
"I'm sorry, Miss Diana."
“Okay, I guess my expectations were too high.” Diana opened the car door and got in. “Agent Coulson, would you like to stay outside, or would you like to take me for ice cream?”
"OK, OK." Coulson quickly went around to the passenger seat.
“Don’t worry, I’m not the kind of person who’s difficult to get along with.” Diana looked at the reserved Coulson. “Besides, I don’t think you need to be afraid of me, do you?”
Coulson smiled, gestured to the driver to start the journey, and did not respond to Diana's words.
Seeing that the future bald man had no intention of chatting with her, Diana stopped paying attention and instead took a more interesting look at the Los Angeles scenery in 1995.
The person I was in the previous world basically spent all my time in Boston and the Metropolitan Area.
Oh, and Gotham too, but I hardly ever go there; the smell there is nauseating.
Although I've traveled around the world before, I never really got to see the scenery around me properly. Now I can finally enjoy the bustling Los Angeles scenery in peace and quiet.
“The new world is not bad either,” Diana said with a smile.
Coulson, sitting in front, sensed Wonder Woman's relief. Even though he knew that the worst thing Wonder Woman had ever done was abandon humanity, she had never personally harmed anyone.
But as a secret agent, especially after witnessing an alien arrival today, and then encountering a superhero straight out of a comic book, no one can help but feel a little apprehensive.
As for why Coulson could sense Wonder Woman's condition?
Hmm~ There is something in this world called a rearview mirror.
"Watch where you're going." After nearly hitting a bus, even though Diana was quite composed, she had to remind the S.H.I.E.L.D. agent who was driving.
Two-thirds of his attention was focused on his reflection in the rearview mirror.
Diana didn't want to cause a death on her very first day in this world, especially because of her own actions.
The young agent driving the car blushed instantly.
Coulson could only shake his head, lamenting that this young agent was still too inexperienced and couldn't control his emotions.
"I suggest you go back and train some more," Coulson said to the junior agent.
The junior agent driving could only nod without responding.
Diana smiled at the two men in front of her, but remained silent.
In the autopsy room of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Los Angeles branch, Nick Fury and his superior Keller were silently examining the green alien humanoid monster lying on the autopsy table.
