“I’m 39 years old, and Diana was over 5000 years old. What are you if not a child?” Tony asked America.

At this moment, America had no time to concern herself with such trivial matters, whether someone was an adult or a child. She was completely astonished that the woman in front of her, who looked to be only about twenty-five years old, was actually five thousand years old!

"Why did you come to this universe?" Diana straightened her posture and said to the little girl, "I don't believe you traveled through the universe aimlessly."

Without a second thought, America said, "I'm here to get reinforcements!"

Chapter 159 The Insightful One's Big Move

"I've come to get reinforcements!"

After the little girl finished speaking, she didn't see any seriousness or distrust on the faces of these two people who were supposed to be superheroes. Instead, they both looked as if they knew it was something trivial. There was no surprise, no astonishment, not even the proactive reaction that some superheroes would show.

"Was I not clear enough? Why aren't you reacting at all?" The little guy suspected that he hadn't explained his purpose clearly, and why were these two in such a non-responsive state?

Tony answered the little girl's question: "When I met you, I basically understood that there must be something wrong with your universe, otherwise I wouldn't have let a guy who had just come of age travel through the universe."

Tony paused, then continued, "Don't forget, when I first met you, you weren't this clean. Besides, for a little girl like you to have such a strong smell of gunpowder on you, unless you're from the Middle East, something big must have happened in your universe." As he spoke, Tony sized up the little girl. For someone who had just come of age to participate in a war, the crisis in that universe must be a major event affecting all life.

The little girl was somewhat bewildered after hearing Tony's words. How could he be so calm and take her out for food and fun knowing such things? Was this guy really that carefree? This wasn't the Iron Man she knew!

Now, in America's eyes, why does this guy's mustache look so jarring now? He doesn't have the same swagger he had when he snapped his fingers.

Tony could clearly see the little girl glaring at him, and there seemed to be a vague sense of disillusionment in her eyes. But Tony Stark wasn't going to back down from a little girl's glare, so he and America began a glare-giving contest to see who would give in first.

"So, could you explain what kind of danger your universe is facing?" Diana finally spoke up to end the childish and boring argument between the little girl and Tony, who were having a contest to see who could glare at each other the longest.

America glared at Tony again, angrily. This cosmic mustache shattered her fangirl filter for Iron Man.

“We encountered some beings who called themselves gods, and it seems they were just outposts for someone. But even those gods were already beyond our ability to handle.” As America explained the situation, she couldn’t help but express her worry for her friends from the universe she had come from. “I wonder if Earth is still around.”

When the young girl thought about such things, she couldn't help but feel sad and worried. She was just a girl who had just come of age, and the safety of the entire universe was already on her shoulders.

When America mentioned the gods, both Diana and Tony looked somewhat puzzled. However, seeing the little girl's state, neither Tony nor Diana had any intention of disturbing her. Tony wanted to say something to the little girl, but he didn't know where to begin, so he could only lean back in his chair and silently wait for the little one to calm down.

As for Diana, there's not much to say. The gods are indeed an irresistible force for any civilization in the universe. Of course, we must exclude the three former empires, since some of them attempted to capture the power of the Phoenix. Although they failed, it was still a peak that many civilizations could never reach in their entire lives.

"I'm sorry." The little girl quickly wiped away the tears that hadn't yet fallen from her eyes and said to the two Insightful Ones, "So, even if you don't want to, I can accept it. I, I can go to the next universe."

America's voice was still a little muffled when she said this. The little girl knew that there was a high chance she would be rejected outright. But for now, she was trying her best not to cry from hearing rejection from these two people. Even though she knew that if she went to another universe, she might not be able to find the coordinates of the universe where her friend was.

“Tony, go and call those guys who are on vacation back.” Diana didn’t say anything to the little guy, but just told Tony her decision. “And while you’re at it, talk to the current S.H.I.E.L.D., we might need to cooperate with them as well.”

Tony nodded, looking at the clearly bewildered America, and said, "Wait, we'll be there." He then tapped his watch a few times, and the entire Insight Building went into a state of alert.

The young girl looked at Tony, then at Diana, and then, connecting the dots with everything that had happened in this building, she understood. The Insightful One of this universe had accepted her plea for help; her universe had received reinforcements.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" The little girl bowed repeatedly to Diana and Tony, her voice trembling. When she looked up, her face was covered in tears.

Diana simply nodded calmly to the little girl, without saying anything. She just hadn't managed to get a set of Celestial Armor before, but now there might be some hope.

“It’s alright, it’s fate. Besides, things are different in every universe. We might even find some technology that doesn’t exist yet,” Tony reassured America. Although Tony had absolute confidence in his scientific abilities and intelligence, it was still another universe. Who knew if some genius or advanced technology might appear there?

While the three people in the Insightful Conference Room were talking, the outside world was already in complete chaos due to the current situation at the Insightful Base.

New Yorkers are still somewhat fearful of such a big commotion. It hasn't been long since the Battle of New York, so is this another alien invasion?

To prevent large-scale riots, the New York Police Department has recalled all officers who were on leave and put them on patrol. This is to prevent criminals from taking advantage of the situation to commit crimes.

Two organizations that have been closely monitoring the Insight Agency have now begun mobilizing their forces. As the armed forces of the United States, the military is practically placing its own surveillance cameras inside the buildings of both S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Insight Agency. There are even high-ranking military officials at the Pentagon confidently declaring that the Insight Agency intends to take over America and that now is the best time to eliminate them.

The Pentagon obediently ducked back, playing the role of a turtle, completely ignoring those who were clamoring to flatten the Insight Tower.

Sending ordinary soldiers to challenge superhumans? Do you think everyone's out of their mind? Besides, General Ross did it before, and look at him now? He's practically dead. Who wants to be the next General Ross?

As for what those clamoring to flatten the Insightful Ones are really thinking, nobody knows. Or maybe they're just putting on a show.

Meanwhile, S.H.I.E.L.D. is in far more trouble than the military. Not only do they have no idea what the Insightful Ones are up to, but the World Security Council has also called a high-level meeting directly against S.H.I.E.L.D.

"Director Hill, I hope you can give the Council a definite answer. What are the Insightful Ones up to now? Does S.H.I.E.L.D. have the power to foresee and counter them?" An old man, who was clearly older than Hill's grandfather, asked Hill.

Just as Hill was about to reply that she knew nothing, the Insightful's communications had already directly overwritten S.H.I.E.L.D.'s classified communication channels.

"Looks like I've interrupted your meeting?" Tony's nonchalant face appeared in the center, completely obscuring the elderly white man. "I'm just here to say that the Insightful One is going on vacation. It's nothing serious, so don't be too worried. And if you're looking for any tricks, the Insightful One wouldn't mind giving the current United States a new president."

Hill simply nodded; she knew who had instructed Tony to say those words. Now, the only person who could represent the Insightful One was Wonder Woman.

"If S.H.I.E.L.D. wants to get involved, they can send people over. That's all, goodbye." Tony hung up the call decisively.

"So, what other questions are there?" Hill suddenly felt confident enough to confront these council members. "If not, I'll go and gather the S.H.I.E.L.D. team to participate in the Insight operation."

The council members could only silently log off. This greatly relieved Hill and put him in a good mood.

Chapter 160 Summoning

In reality, the Insightful organization is only large in size; in other aspects, it doesn't really resemble a large alliance. With only a handful of members, it's certainly not a super-organization. However, the individual strength of this small group is so immense that no organization would easily trust them.

“Sometimes living here has its advantages.” When the call to assemble was sounded, the first person to arrive was Banner, who originally lived in the Insight Building. He was still wearing his familiar plaid shirt, black-rimmed glasses, and jeans.

"That doesn't hide the fact that you didn't attend the meeting before." Tony actually had a good impression of this guy who could compete with him in intelligence, and he was teasing his so-called friend. At least, he was a friend on par with Happy.

Banner didn't say anything, just smiled at Tony, and then sat down in his seat. It's unclear how the filming order was arranged, but the doctor was positioned next to Tony, perhaps so that the two highly intelligent individuals could properly exchange ideas.

Far away in Northern Europe, Thor was currently drinking heartily with his ever-troublesome younger brother, Loki. "It's been so long since we've drunk together like this," Thor said to Loki with a touch of melancholy. Ever since their father had spoken those words to them, they hadn't sat down and chatted like this. Even when they were together, only Thor was truly honest; his brother was always plotting to stab him in the back.

“Last week, you dragged me and your new human girlfriend out for drinks.” Loki naturally understood what his older brother meant, but he just didn’t want to engage, preferring to see his brother’s awkward situation.

As expected, the logic was correct. The man, who had been feeling sentimental, suddenly didn't know what to say. He could only open his mouth silently and finally said to the bartender, "Another drink!"

As the bartender turned to refill the long-haired, burly man's drink, Loki seemed to be muttering to himself, "One thousand four hundred and ninety-two years and six months."

For people like them, whispering at this distance is no different from speaking into someone's ear, unless they've always kept their thoughts bottled up inside. Hearing his brother's words, Thor laughed heartily, picked up the glass of wine he'd asked for, and raised it high.

"Tonight! Everything's on me, my brother Loki!" Thor shouted to everyone in the tavern.

"it is good!!!"

"Hey buddy, fill it up!"

"Could you open a bottle of Jack Daniel's for me, please?"

...

The guys in the tavern were excited, but Loki on the other side was clearly still a bit stunned by his brother's actions. Why was he shouting that he would pay? It's not like this guy is broke.

But seeing his simple-minded brother so happy, Loki didn't want to spoil his mood. Ever since he lifted Mjolnir, which he had never been able to lift before, at Diana's house, much of the pent-up frustration in his heart had dissipated.

Now, I just hope my silly older brother is a little happier.

"Hey buddy, here's the money for the drinks. See if it's enough." Loki casually pulled out a gold ingot and tossed it to the bartender, who was scrambling to pay because of his stupid brother's words, without caring whether he had given too much or too little.

When has the bartender ever seen a customer pay with gold ingots? Shouldn't it always be credit cards or checks? What's the point of giving them gold ingots? Are they taking advantage of honest people who've never seen so much gold before?

Although that's what he thought, the bartender didn't dare say whether it was enough or not. He could only consult his boss. He couldn't just make a decision on his own; the next person to see him would definitely be a patrolling policeman.

Just as the bartender was about to speak, Loki gestured to the poor worker to be quiet, and the words that had been rising in the bartender's throat had to be swallowed back down.

Loki stopped the bartender from speaking, naturally because there was something more important to attend to now. The Asgardian prince pulled a futuristic-looking, cell phone-like glass device from his suit pocket, displaying the Insightful symbol—a simplified owl.

Speaking of which, the Insightful's symbol is quite interesting. When the Insightful were founded, no one thought about a specific symbol. None of the initial three founders felt there was any need for a symbol, so the matter was left unresolved. It wasn't until after the Battle of New York that the issue was taken seriously again; otherwise, people only knew the Insightful's name and location, but had no idea what their symbol would be.

Everyone had their own opinions. Some thought that an abbreviation would be fine, while others thought that a single letter would suffice. Still others thought that Asgard should be used as the symbol, which is the guy drinking with the drunkards.

Ultimately, Diana made the final decision, choosing the owl as the symbol of the Insightful One. Although it wasn't entirely clear why Diana wanted an owl as the symbol, most people felt it was better than the symbols they had proposed.

Loki put away his phone, walked over to Thor who was currently drinking with someone, and patted the blond, muscular man on the shoulder: "Come on, we have something to do." With that, he picked up the large glass of beer that Thor hadn't yet picked up and downed it in one gulp.

"What's wrong?" Thor was clearly still somewhat confused. He didn't feel there was any danger in the world right now. Naturally, he hadn't brought the phone number sent by the Insightful One with him. He was still in a state of confusion.

Loki didn't want to say anything more to this guy, and simply dragged his foolish brother out of the tavern. Although explaining everything to Thor wouldn't take long, Loki didn't want to share Diana's wrath with him.

"Goodbye! We have to go! Let's drink again next time!" Thor shouted loudly to the still-drinking patrons, even having the leisure to wave. He showed no shame whatsoever for being dragged out by his brother by the collar; it was unclear whether he was genuinely drunk or faking it.

There was no dramatic scene of the tavern owner blocking the door with his men. Loki easily led his brother out of the tavern, stretching out his left hand towards the sky as if summoning something.

Since he was able to lift Mjolnir, Loki can now summon Mjolnir regardless of distance. And perhaps because he is a super mage, he can use Mjolnir to briefly connect to the Bifrost in the Insightful Tower.

Before Thor could say anything more, he saw his beloved hammer fall into Loki's hands. Then, a rainbow bridge spanning the heavens and earth enveloped the two of them, and they vanished from the scene.

It wasn't until they finally reached the top floor of the Insightful Building, where a solid wood door carved with "The Battle of the Amazons" stood before them, that Thor, still dazed, asked Loki, "What happened? Why are we back in America? Jane will be angry if we return without a word."

Loki didn't care what nonsense his brother was spouting. He simply tossed Mjolnir to his brother and said, "Don't worry about your human girlfriend now. Think about how to face Diana first." With that, the door in front of him swung open.

Thor wanted to say something more, but when he saw that the Insightful Meeting Room was now full of people, he knew that something was wrong.

He could only give everyone in the room a somewhat awkward smile and say, "Looks like you all arrived quickly." As he spoke, he noticed the S.H.I.E.L.D. personnel who had somehow managed to get chairs on the other side, and nodded in agreement.

He still holds the title of consultant for S.H.I.E.L.D.

“Everyone’s here. I called everyone here, including S.H.I.E.L.D., because of this young lady next to me.” Diana didn’t say anything, but tapped the table to draw everyone’s attention to her. “There’s a problem in her universe right now, and she might need our help.”

"Listen carefully, it's not our universe, it's her universe." Tony emphasized again to make sure no one misheard.

"Please!" The little girl stood up quite cleverly and bowed to everyone who had arrived later.

Chapter 161 Unification of Opinions

After Diana and Tony briefly explained the reasons, before the members of the Insight team could say anything, the S.H.I.E.L.D. guys had already spoken up.

“We have no obligation to help them with things that happen in other universes, do we?” A bald Indian man stood up, adjusted his frameless glasses, and continued, “This girl might be sent by some guy to scout things out, then take Earth’s high-end combat power to some unknown place, and then send people to occupy Earth. Isn’t that possible? Who knows if she’s some kind of spy?”

As he spoke, the bald man took off his glasses and wiped them, but out of the corner of his eye, he sized up the little girl who clearly hadn't experienced much in life.

What the bald agent Sitwell said made some sense; at least the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents who had come here with this Level 6 agent nodded in agreement.

But when had the young girl ever suffered such humiliation? She angrily shouted at the still-seemingly composed bald man, "You're the spy! You don't have to go if you don't want to! I didn't ask you!"

Diana patted the little girl on the back, telling her not to be too angry. But she didn't say anything, just sat there calmly, watching Sitwell and the men in black suits.

The bald man seemed to have gotten the answer he wanted, then put his glasses back on his nose and said to Diana, "In that case, S.H.I.E.L.D. will not get involved in this matter, and we will not help this so-called visitor from outer space. Sorry." Sitwell still had some sense of propriety; at least he had to maintain his appearance so as not to offend the person in the Insightful Seat.

Almost everyone in the Sitwell Insightful Observers did the same as Diana, simply watching silently as the men in black suits prepared to leave the Insightful Observers' council hall in an orderly fashion. No one tried to stop them; in their view, the men in black suits' departure at this moment was, from any perspective, an extremely wise move.

Once they arrive in another universe, they probably won't have much time to rest. And a super war that requires sending reinforcements from other universes is not something just anyone can participate in. Especially for these agents who can only be considered ordinary human elites, the greater chance they'll just be used as cannon fodder... and disposed of.

Just when Sitwell thought his registration plan was foolproof, trouble struck. Often, those plans that seem foolproof end up having a glaring flaw. Especially the people standing in front of Sitwell now, which drove the bald man almost crazy. If he weren't bald, he would have ripped his hair out and shown it to everyone.

Standing before this Level 6 agent were none other than Maria Hill, the director of S.H.I.E.L.D., Alexander Pierce, who was supposed to be arguing with the World Security Council on the top floor of the Tri-Wing, and Captain America, the guy his superior regarded as the most perfect idol.

And currently, S.H.I.E.L.D.'s two strongest agents, Natasha and Clint.

"What's Agent Sitwell up to?" Hill didn't care what Sitwell might have done before, after all, he wasn't really one of her people, nor was he part of Nick Fury's faction. Plus, this guy had always been somewhat cowardly, so Hill had never really taken him seriously.
