The Sentinel did not answer Diana's question; the intense red light that began to flash again in its eyes, and the fact that its mechanical body had been adjusted to the most suitable state for combat, were its answers.

Diana felt somewhat helpless about the big shots who had already been killed. Didn't those guys include anything like the Three Laws of Robotics in the underlying logic they designed for the Sentinels? Besides, she had essentially shot herself in the foot. If it weren't for her sudden idea, the Sentinels would just be ordinary, intelligent, imposter Superman.

But now it's clear that this guy has gotten used to his current state and is starting to develop his own abilities.

As for why Diana could tell, we have to look at what the Sentinels are doing now.

The Sentinel, merely hovering in the air, had already begun plundering the essence from the shattered Celestial armor around it. As Celestials, their armor was arguably comparable to any known metal, and now the Sentinel was using these materials as nourishment to continuously strengthen itself.

However, this guy was still aware of the tragic state of the previous gods, so he didn't continue to expand his body. Instead, he was concentrating all his essence in his current state. The Sentinel had a clear understanding of the woman in front of him; the ultimate result of growing larger would be the same as those gods—becoming an insignificant figure in Diana's hands.

Even as it absorbed the surrounding essence, it glanced at the chainsaw in Diana's hand, clearly showing some apprehension. Anything capable of cutting through the Celestial Armor would undoubtedly pose a serious threat to it; the first step was to deal with the chainsaw in Diana's hand.

Diana naturally noticed the Sentinel's gaze fixed on the chainsaw in her hand. She weighed the chainsaw in her hand, then casually tossed it into the air, where it dissipated into a golden light. As a mechanical life form accelerated by her own power, and in a sense, her creation, Diana didn't mind relinquishing the chainsaw. Moreover, the current imposter Superman, after absorbing the essence of the surrounding Celestial Armor, was beginning to evolve towards a Kryptonian form. Not a pure Kryptonian like Kal-El, but rather like his uncle, the mechanical Superman Zo-El.

Just when Diana thought it was going to continue absorbing those things, the Sentinel suddenly moved and launched an attack on Diana without any attempt to conceal itself.

The Sentinel was fast, but still within Diana's sight. The metallic fist arrived in front of Diana in an instant, its direction of attack being Diana's lower abdomen.

Diana easily blocked the sentry's attack on her abdomen with her outstretched hand, and even had the mind to say to the sentry, "Not bad speed."

But the Sentinel had no intention of exchanging words with Diana. His previously charged heat gaze erupted at that moment, piercing Diana's eyes. That punch was merely a feint, but for someone like Diana, the Sentinel knew perfectly well that even a feint required full force, otherwise it would be too easy for her to see through it.

The sentry's attack didn't miss; the two heat beams struck Diana's eyes squarely without wavering. However, it was as if the heat beams had encountered an indestructible object, merely impacting Diana's eyes without making any further progress. Despite being the most vulnerable part of the human body, the heat beams failed to cause any damage to Diana's eyes.

It wasn't entirely without effect, but the fairy's heat vision merely cast a crimson filter over Diana's vision, making things somewhat blurry. Diana's response was swift and decisive; she still held the Sentinel's fist in her hand, and with a gentle downward twist, she snapped it. The Sentinel's sturdy body crumbled like a fragile biscuit before Diana's strength. The angle between the Sentinel's wrist and fist, which had struck Diana's abdomen, was now 180 degrees, clearly broken by Diana.

Sensing the feedback from its wrist, the Sentinel knew that Diana had broken its wrist. It immediately cut off its heat vision and instead exhaled a thick, cold breath, causing Diana's eyes, which were already being exposed to extremely high temperatures, to be affected by extreme cold before they could recover.

In the Sentinel's calculations, even Diana would experience a moment of discomfort or distraction due to the sudden changes in temperature. At that moment, it would be an excellent opportunity to either escape or launch an attack.

But the next moment the sentinel saw Diana's still bright eyes, and it realized that its calculations had gone wrong. Diana was clearly not the kind of person that could be calculated using the models built by the observers.

It killed the observer, but was also unexpectedly tricked by the observer's information, which can be considered a kind of repayment.

Diana wasn't thinking anything of it; it was just that a robot had blew on her, and the thought of it was still hard to accept. She then raised her other free hand, clenched it into a fist, and slammed it hard into the sentry's face.

This punch should have sent the Sentinel flying, but one of his hands was still under Diana's control. Instead of knocking him away, the punch pulled Diana's controlled hand back to its original position, resulting in another punch to the Sentinel's face.

This time, the Sentinel was smarter. He made a clean break, ripping off the entire arm that Diana had been controlling, giving Diana no chance to pull him back. He was sent flying far away by the force of Diana's punch, crashing to the ground.

An immense force was instantly transmitted through the Sentinel's body to the entire earth, resulting in its complete shattering. The earth around the Sentinel was cracked with bottomless fissures, and streams of light could even be seen within some of these cracks.

Diana shook the Sentinel's severed arm in her hand, not without admiration for the Sentinel's physical strength. It was almost as strong as when she first met Kal-El. However, it was probably still somewhat different from what she had developed later. Diana merely glanced at the severed arm before tossing it away, not caring whether the Sentinel would reconnect it.

In her view, the sentry wouldn't ask for an arm that would be broken.

Just as Diana had expected, when the Sentinel emerged from the earth, he completely disregarded the severed arm that Diana had discarded. Instead, he used the remains of the god to reattach an arm to himself.

Chapter 177 Yearning (End)

As a Sentinel of mechanical lifeforms, it is quite simple for them to use their abilities to ensure that they remain intact. After all, mechanical lifeforms have nothing in common with flesh and blood; they do not experience fatigue, and in some ways, they are immortal in another sense.

Unless some entirely new mechanical life form emerges and replaces the previous life form, there won't be any talk of flesh and blood weakening while machines ascend. Seeking longevity in this alternative way is undeniably an opportunistic approach. In the entire universe right now, there's nothing purely mechanical life form; only this Sentinel, jointly created by Diana and the Watchers, is beginning to approach that boundary.

But it's only infinitely close; the current Sentinel can't break through to the other side of the sky on his own. Diana won't help the current Sentinel; she only pushed him earlier to see how the Sentinel of that time would react to the Watcher's orders.

The result was clear: not a single Observer remained; they all became energy sources for the Sentinels. The Sentinels, having been pushed along their own evolutionary path, began their relentless march towards becoming the ultimate mechanical life form, constantly drawing closer to another realm. However, in Diana's eyes, no matter how hard the Sentinels tried, they could never truly touch that realm unless something changed.

Perhaps, now is the Sentinel's opportunity. Diana could sense something rapidly breaking through the boundaries of the universe, constantly squeezing into the hypertime stream. And that thing was also a mechanical life form. It didn't seem much different from the current Sentinels, perhaps only slightly inferior in terms of physique?

Diana no longer cared about the Sentinel's current evolution of its own body; after all, it was uncertain who this mechanical form would ultimately serve. This current Sentinel consciousness might soon become a mechanical life form, or perhaps a completely new life form or consciousness? No one could say for sure. Even mechanical life forms were subject to the same uncertainties as flesh-and-blood life forms; no one could definitively predict the final course of a life.

Even the creator of life.

The Sentinel didn't think much of Diana's lack of intervention; he was simply focused on accelerating the next stage of his evolution. Diana's earlier interruption forced him to utilize all his computational power to ensure his next evolution proceeded flawlessly.

Naturally, no one noticed that he was coveting his body. Although that guy hadn't arrived here yet, his energy fluctuations already revealed his longing for the current Sentinel's body.

However, the mechanical life form that broke through the limits of a single universe was already using extremely fast speeds to constantly overcome all obstacles along the way, all in order to finally reach the hypertime stream.

But that guy also understood that the Sentinel wasn't at its strongest right now; he needed the body at its peak, not something that was just a hair's breadth away from perfection. He was able to control his speed, ensuring that by the time he reached the Hypertime Flow, the Sentinel would have already completed its own body.

The yellow gem on its forehead shone brightly, and the five gems on its chest also shone simultaneously. As the ultimate energy manifestation of a single universe, these gems naturally ensured that this mechanical life form could enter the hypertime stream without getting lost in the multiverse.

Diana naturally understood the intentions of the guy who was constantly striving towards the trans-timeline, but what did it have to do with her? The life-or-death struggle between two mechanical lifeforms had nothing to do with her. Even if she might ultimately have to face that guy herself, that wouldn't stop Diana from quietly watching the evolutionary drama unfold between the mechanical lifeforms.

Diana was already high in the air, a smile on her lips, watching the creature below slowly begin to complete its soon-to-be-renewed body. As the one who led the Sentinel onto the path of mechanical life, Diana naturally understood that when the Sentinel completed its physical evolution, it would also be the moment when its computing power was at its most stagnant, and that was probably the opportunity that the creature outside had been waiting for.

The Sentinel's body was slowly enveloped by divine fire, like that of a god. Head, torso, arms, legs... until the last finger was covered by the divine fire. At that point, the Sentinel had completed its physical evolution and was thankful that Diana had not interrupted it.

But the Sentinel, just regaining its senses, looked up and saw the strange smile on Diana's lips. Before it could react, a massive data stream began to assault the Sentinel's underlying firewall. As a super robot painstakingly created by the Observer, the Sentinel's computational demands had long surpassed human imagination. If the previous Sentinels were stars, the current Sentinels were nebulae, or even cosmic-level computations.

Even with this level of computational ability, the Sentinel was still unable to process the information that suddenly entered its underlying logic.

This resulted in another entity completely settling into this body, rendering any self-checks by the Sentinel useless. That entity is now one with the Sentinel; to destroy it, the first step is to turn the Sentinel's current body into a pile of scrap metal.

Even if the Sentinel wanted to do it, the thing inside its body wouldn't agree.

Diana was curious; she always felt that the one who broke through all the barriers to reach the trans-timeline was somewhat connected to her. But she hadn't created a second super-mechanical lifeform that could potentially become a Sentinel, unless...

Diana suddenly remembered the Helicarrier and the Space Stone that Tony had lost.

Isn't that a mechanical life form created by Tony? A mechanical life form capable of rapid development, which even took away his Space Stone. The current situation is understandable, given that the Space Stone itself is already powerful enough, coupled with Tony's insanely brilliant mind.

It's possible that a super Ultron could emerge.

At that moment, a figure covered in nebulae appeared beside Diana.

"You can feel it, can't you?" The guy's deep voice rang out, but it didn't reach the sentry who was twitching.

Diana knew exactly what this person had done; he had used his power over the rules to place their current conversation in the distant past, in an unpredictable future—a timeline outside of the present. Moreover, Diana understood that this was the same person who had been setting traps for her, but now it seemed he harbored no ill will towards her.

“It’s related to me.”

The man nodded in response to Diana's rather candid answer.

"What you create could very well become the next Sithon, and those guys won't be like Sithon. They'll just keep expanding indefinitely until all the universes become a kingdom of mechanical life."

"So, you want me to take care of them? Is that right, Eternity?" Although Diana asked the question, there was no doubt in her tone. The one standing next to her was Eternity from the multiverse, the embodiment of all eternities.

Eternal didn't think Diana would fail to recognize him; if she didn't, she wouldn't be in a place like this.

“I know you’ll tell me that this has nothing to do with you, since you can nip them in the bud when they get close to your universe. But I remember a saying: ‘You can be a thief for a thousand days, but you can’t guard against a thief for a thousand days.’ Isn’t that right?”

"So, you gave that universe to me?" Diana naturally heard Eternity's "yours," which didn't mean Diana came from that universe, but rather that he gave that universe to Diana.

Eternal nodded, acknowledging Diana's statement.

It's like doing someone a favor, since Diana's universe is already steadily moving towards becoming an independent universe. This is just bringing that outcome forward a little, and it's not a big deal.

"You all agree?" Diana asked Eternity, after all, there was still that purple sweet potato spirit in her universe who was favored by Death. Even if Eternity gave her the universe, wouldn't that guy still get a peaceful life?

"Death has taken him from your universe."

"Ha, she really is my precious darling." Diana laughed with a hint of disdain. "Alright, now, I'll handle this."

After Diana agreed to this, Eternity disappeared and the previous power was withdrawn. Diana reappeared in this space.

This time, however, Diana didn't want to drag things out with those two people she had such a deep connection with. After all, they had given her a universe and even taken away the purple sweet potato spirit, the head of the promotion office in that universe; she couldn't just mess around with them anymore.

Golden light began to shimmer in her eyes. This time, the golden light spread out without the leisurely stroll of an old man; it instantly covered Diana's entire body.

The real, complete Diana, in gold.

"Hey!" A loud shout, full of energy, interrupted the two mechanical beings that were fighting for the body.

The Sentinel has no concept of Diana now, but Ultron inside the Sentinel recognizes this woman. If it weren't for the fact that this woman is in that universe, it wouldn't need to go to other universes to carry out its plans.

But before they could react, Diana suddenly clapped her hands together, and the Sentinel's mechanical body was completely pulverized into a thin sheet by the two materialized giant hands.

However, Diana didn't think she had killed the two guys by doing this. After all, while mechanical lifeforms might not be as resilient as cockroaches, she still had to be careful.

With her arms outstretched in an X shape, Diana unleashed a devastating energy blast at Sentinel Ultron's location, instantly vaporizing the surrounding earth.

Diana, still feeling uneasy, searched the entire area surrounding the hypertimestream to ensure that those two wouldn't have left any trace of their information. Nodding in satisfaction, Diana didn't want to say anything more to Eternity and simply left the hypertimestream.

As for the people on Earth-199999-616, when Diana left the hyper-time stream, she had already completely taken them back to her own universe. Now Diana can openly say that this universe is her own universe.

The group, who had been engaged in combat, were suddenly back on the lawn in front of the Insightful Building, somewhat bewildered. After all, they had just been fighting monsters made of a mixture of machinery and flesh, and now they were back in their own universe.

After all, the Insightful Building is probably the only one of its kind in the entire multiverse.

But when they saw Diana appear before them, these guys breathed a sigh of relief. However, they were still somewhat worried about the current situation in the other universe, after all, it had been taken away suddenly during a battle. They didn't know if those guys could hold on.

"Don't worry, someone will take care of it." When Diana took them away, she had already sensed the eternal avatar of that universe, which resolved this rather anticlimactic event.

"I still don't quite understand." Steve's sense of justice always made him feel like a deserter, and he felt somewhat guilty towards his fellow alien comrades who fought alongside him.

On the contrary, Baldy was quite happy. He didn't want to be on edge all the time on that smoke-filled battlefield.

Tony glanced at Diana, unsure of what had happened, but his intuition told him it was a good thing. He wanted to ask Diana, but back in his own universe, was he afraid he wouldn't have time?

Wanda, on the other hand, was simple; the moment she saw Diana, she burst into laughter.

Diana was also smiling at Wanda.

Until a streak of rainbow light crashed into Diana's arms, Captain Marvel Carol held Diana tightly, even making a face at Wanda.

Enraged, Little Wanda squeezed between the two without a second thought.

Diana simply smiled as she watched them; this was the life she had always longed for.

Author's Closing Remarks

To be honest, this is my first time writing a book, and I know it's not very good. There are many things I haven't actually written, but this is all I can do for now. Perhaps one day in the future, I'll rewrite Diana's story. Who knows?

But I am still very grateful to the readers who have always supported me and those who have been following this book.

This book, just like the cake book says, ended abruptly, which I apologize for.

But Cake will keep trying!

Thank you once again to all the readers who have supported me all this time, and thank you to those who have read my humble works.
