The Hulk returned to the ground more than twice as fast as when he jumped up.
"Oh!"
Little Hulk crashed to the ground like a green cannonball, leaving a deep dent in his skull, the size of which was clearly the shape of the heel that Diana had struck.
When she saw Tony being flung away by Red Hulk, Diana landed from the air and looked around at the group of Hulks who were now hesitant to step forward.
A strangely shaped weapon appeared in Diana's hand—a chainsaw gleaming with a golden light. The chainsaw blade shimmered with a deep blue glow.
"Although it's a bit of an overkill, this is the fastest way to solve this problem." Diana smiled slightly at the Hulks, and then the chainsaw in her hand began to turn.
"Roar!"
A miniature Hulk roared at Diana, as if that gave him the strength to defeat her. He charged at Diana, and the already shattered exhibition stand began to collapse under his charge.
Diana greatly admired these brave warriors who dared to charge into battle, but that wouldn't be a reason for her to hold back.
Hulk opened his arms as if to grab Diana's chainsaw. He didn't even care where he would grab it; he just went straight for the saw blade.
"Roar!!!"
A piercing pain swept over the young Hulk's body and mind at that moment. Normally, when they were in this transformed state, pain was not noticeable to them; they could even be said to be immune to a certain degree of pain.
This kind of thing clearly no longer exists with Diana.
The golden chainsaw had completely shredded the arrogant little Hulk's hand into a bloody mess.
As Little Hulk retreated, clutching his rotting hand, Diana remained completely expressionless. Once the war began, no one could back down.
With the chainsaw in hand, Diana rushed into the pile of little Hulks.
Diana cleaved the chainsaw directly into the shoulder of a young Hulk, causing the chain to spin. At that moment, the chainsaw's destructive power was fully revealed. The young Hulk was sliced in two by Diana's chainsaw like a piece of rotten wood; there was absolutely no way to stop it from tearing his body in two. He couldn't even stop the chainsaw.
The chainsaw continued to cut downwards, and Hulk's green blood splattered out along the direction of the chainsaw's rotation. However, the moment the blood touched Diana, it was wiped away by a fleeting flash of light emanating from her.
As a user of the chainsaw, Diana knew far better than they did what its downsides were: the splattering blood. So, before deciding to use the chainsaw, Diana had already cast a protective spell on herself to avoid being stained a mess with their blood.
Otherwise, what if I scare my two little ones when I get home?
Despite the brutal slaughter of these Hulk babies with a chainsaw, Diana remained spotless. She was always impeccably clean.
In the blink of an eye, Diana's chainsaw had completely dismembered the little Hulks around her.
When the last mini-Hulk's torso was cut open, the other bootleg mini-Hulks were no longer around.
It slowly floated out of the collapsed display stand and drifted towards the remaining Red Hulk, just as Tony returned at that moment.
"What did you do to my Gamma Legion?" Red Hulk roared.
"Where are those little green monsters?" Tony asked Diana as well, even though they were still lively and energetic before he was thrown away.
Diana pointed to the collapsed display stand, which had become a huge crater. Even from this low altitude, only a small portion of it was visible.
This alone was enough to turn Tony's face pale and make his stomach churn. He suppressed the discomfort in his stomach, trying his best not to vomit. He looked at the golden chainsaw in Diana's hand and said to her, "Have you been watching too much Texas Chainsaw Massacre?"
Diana did not answer him, but slowly floated above Red Hulk, carrying her golden chainsaw.
"I should have killed you back then, though it's not too late now." Diana looked coldly at the troublemaker.
Chapter 85 The Defeat of Red Hulk and Steve Rogers
As Diana floated above Red Hulk, the former American lieutenant general showed no fear whatsoever. Red Hulk merely stared coldly at Diana, feeling nothing for the younger Hulks who had perished at her hands. Despite the fact that everything had now completely deviated from his initial plan, he still blindly trusted himself.
After all, he is Red Hulk.
Perhaps even Tony hadn't expected this, as Red Hulk launched his attack before Diana could.
Leaping high into the air, Red Hulk clenched his crimson fist and slammed it down towards Diana.
However, as a large man, his biggest weakness is magnified in the air: he lacks sufficient speed. No matter how powerful his punch is, there will only be one outcome.
"boom!"
As expected, Red Hulk didn't even manage to touch Diana's clothes; he could only slam his powerful fist into the ground.
That punch pierced the ground, embedding Red Hulk's arm deep into the earth. Red Hulk simply pulled his arm out of the ground with a burst of strength and shook it. His fiery eyes fixed once more on Diana, who was wielding the golden chainsaw in mid-air.
"All you do is hide?" Red Hulk said to Diana in a deep voice.
His voice was really unpleasant, even somewhat harsh. It sounded like two rocks rubbing together.
"Are you challenging me to a duel?" Diana had long since realized that Red Hulk was completely different from the green behemoth in The Insight; one possessed clear logical thinking, while the other was currently just like a four or five-year-old child. Comparatively, Diana still preferred her own childish self.
Red Hulk stood there silently, staring at Diana.
"It seems so." Diana slowly landed ten meters in front of Red Hulk, the golden chainsaw in her hand gradually disappearing as she descended.
The moment Diana stood still, Red Hulk immediately lunged forward, shrinking her range of movement as much as possible, leaving her no room to unleash her full power.
The wind from Red Hulk's punch had already reached Diana's face, but Diana just smiled gently.
As Amazons, a race naturally inclined to battle, Diana hadn't received an invitation to fight between warriors in ages, especially after she awakened her divine powers.
Diana took a half step back with her right foot and stood still again. Using the strength of her waist and legs, she propelled her right fist straight at Red Hulk's swinging red fist.
Diana's fists looked exceptionally small and fragile next to Red Hulk's. Everyone knows why all combat sports have weight classes: in combat, the greater the weight, the greater the power.
However, this kind of truth cannot appear in the battles of superhumans.
Diana's fist was like a hard nail to Red Hulk. Would an ordinary person meet a nail with their fist? Everyone would just think you're a fool. At that moment, Red Hulk hadn't expected that Diana would actually dare to meet his fist head-on.
That small fist, belonging to Diana, tore through Red Hulk's tough skin and shattered the bone in his middle finger.
Diana pressed down on Red Hulk's fist with her left hand, pulling her right hand and arm out. What came out wasn't just red blood, but also fragments of Red Hulk's finger bones.
Looking at her right arm stained with blood, Diana frowned. She hadn't been able to escape this after all. She needed to find a place to wash it properly, otherwise, with Wanda's little nose, she would definitely sniff it out immediately when she got home, and there would be no way to hide it.
Red Hulk felt no pain from the punch that pierced his left middle finger; he simply staggered back several meters, waiting for his left fist to heal slowly.
Diana shook her right arm, trying to remove as much blood as possible. Then she looked up at the large, red man. The spot where Diana had punched him had stopped bleeding; in fact, new granulation tissue could be seen growing there.
"That regenerative ability is indeed quite strong." Diana simply waited quietly for Red Hulk to recover. She wasn't unfamiliar with guys with such powerful regenerative abilities. In fact, she herself was one of them, but she still couldn't compare to the guy who could recover just by basking in the sun.
For this kind of person, the strategy is to beat them until they can't recover in one go, and then kill them. However, Red Hulk's healing factor clearly doesn't reach that level—the concept of a head falling off and growing back. This means that this guy is much easier to kill than those with abnormal healing abilities.
Just as Diana was dueling with Red Hulk, Tony was taken outside by a message from Jarvis.
"Seriously, these kinds of inexplicable things always happen." Tony looked around. In this silent environment, where not even a single insect chirped, how could there be no problem?
Seeing that the protective barrier of divine power that Diana had erected around him showed no signs of weakening, Tony felt relieved. At least he didn't need to worry about any conventional individual weapons. This barrier was far more defensive than his armor.
"Does everyone want to keep playing hide-and-seek?" Tony amplified his voice through his visor, making it known to those around him.
He waited a moment, but there was no sign of anyone appearing. Tony shrugged helplessly: "This is your choice. If you don't come out, don't blame me."
That's right, the reason Jarvis called Tony outside the venue was because someone was secretly surrounding the entire venue.
Tony took flight, and then his shoulder armor unfolded. Two small devices resembling missile launch arrays appeared on his shoulders.
"Fire." Tony set all the two little things' targets on the open ground around the personnel.
At Tony's command, the little creatures landed on the surrounding open ground, trailing trails of flame.
Many figures emerged the instant the attack began, but while dodging the attack, they launched a counterattack against Tony Stark.
Tony watched as the gleaming yellow bullets struck the golden membrane, losing momentum before falling to the ground. These current human soldier equipment posed absolutely no threat to him. Listening to the sound of the bullets hitting the golden membrane, Tony felt a little sleepy. The sound was very much like raindrops falling into a puddle on a rainy day, quite soothing.
Bullets rained down on Tony like they were free, and small mounds of bullets began to appear on the ground below him.
Just as Tony was yawning, the frenzied shooting finally came to an end.
"It's over, isn't it... shit!" Just as Tony was about to ask if it was his turn, he saw a few people carrying a single-soldier quad launcher: M202.
Numerous rockets hurtled toward Tony.
"boom!!!"
The massive explosion made Tony feel like he was going deaf, but he remained standing in the sky, untouched by the series of attacks.
"I'll definitely study this thing carefully when I get back," Tony shouted excitedly, a happy smile spreading across his face beneath the visor.
The excitement came quickly, but it also faded quickly.
Tony turned his gaze to the men who were clearly trying to kill him: "I don't know who you are, but now is my time to strike back."
After proving once again the strength of the membrane covering his body, Tony charged straight into the crowd like a mindless brute. Landing among them, he ignored their attacks and simply used his palm cannons to send them flying, enjoying the exhilarating feeling of mowing down enemies.
At that moment, he understood why superhumans always loved to jump into the enemy ranks and wreak havoc. That feeling of being unharmed and unstoppable was truly addictive.
Just as Tony was enjoying his unparalleled mowing down of the grass, a round shield thrown from a distance interrupted his unstoppable mowing down of the grass.
"What is that, Jarvis?" Tony quickly took off and retreated a few meters away from the venue, no longer intending to continue mowing the lawn.
"Sir, that thing looks a lot like Captain America's shield." After Jarvis made a comparison, he came to a conclusion that shocked Tony.
"That guy has been dead for so long, and you're telling me he's come back to life?" Tony's tone was full of disbelief. After all, how could someone who had been confirmed dead by the U.S. government possibly reappear?
"While this is incredible, it's the only possible outcome. Or perhaps the military has developed a completely new Captain America." Jarvis's voice remained calm and unhurried.
Tony, however, said, "I don't think anyone else but that old man would walk around outside dressed like a circus clown."
A tall man carrying a star shield stepped out from the crowd. His classic blue, white, and red uniform, along with the capital A on his hood, proved that this guy was indeed the fallen Captain America: Steve Rogers.
“Tony Stark, is that so? Now please step out of that suit of armor, and we can have a proper talk.” Steve spoke in that distinctive tone of his voice from that time. “You’ve attacked nearly a hundred S.H.I.E.L.D. field agents. You’re a threat to America now. Kid, your father probably doesn’t want to see you like this.”
"That really is that soldier's tone." Tony muttered under his visor.
Steve is clearly not quite accepting of the current era, but at least he's trying to adapt. And now, his first task in adapting is to stop this battle.
"Yeah, if I take off my armor like you say, then I'll get shot to death by those guys around you." Tony didn't believe such nonsense. What if Diana's divine membrane didn't attach to him after he took off the armor? "I'm curious, this American guy with the American butt that looks like Captain America, didn't you see that it was your men who attacked me first?"
Steve was visibly startled. He had just parachuted from the Quattroporte and was completely unaware of what had happened before. When he landed, all he saw was Howard's son, the so-called Iron Man, fighting against S.H.I.E.L.D. agents. Without understanding the situation, he could only tell the gold and red armored man to get away from the agents.
"You need to listen to me..."
Before Steve could finish speaking, a huge red figure was flung out of the venue. After crashing through the wall, it slammed heavily to the ground. However, the residual force clearly hadn't been neutralized, as the massive red creature plowed a trench a hundred meters deep into the earth.
Everyone behind Steve now focused their attention on Red Hulk, who had just been thrown out.
It's clear that the real target of this mission is Red Hulk, who is now lying in the deep ditch.
Looking at the blood-red Red Hulk, Steve couldn't help but think of the enemy of the same color. Only that person had vanished in a beam of light.
"What is this?" Steve wasn't sure if the thing in front of him was some kind of monster developed by Hydra, since the big guy didn't look like a good person.
While Steve was nervously watching the big red guy, he caught a glimpse of a beautiful figure slowly emerging from the hole that had been smashed open.
