Natasha nodded; she had already ordered before Banner arrived. Although Banner's daily life wasn't particularly refined despite being a top student, at least they had figured out the general types of food he liked.

As dishes were served and then removed, the two never exchanged more than ten sentences.

It's not that I'm saying this is really delicious, it's just that the restaurant service is pretty good.

They didn't talk about anything serious at all.

But this meal undeniably brought the two of them closer together.

When the two walked out of the restaurant, they were holding hands tightly, just like young couples strolling on the street.

Natasha's hand grasped Banner's warm, large hand, as if her own hand were holding another version of herself, giving her a strange sense of security.

As Natasha watched Banner's retreating figure, a word suddenly came to mind.

'romantic'

That's right. It's 'romance'.

For someone who has been trained from childhood to be a killing machine, this feeling is practically poison.

"What's wrong? Why is your face so red?" Banner turned around and noticed that Natasha's face was flushed.

“Oh.” Natasha lowered her head, not knowing why she didn’t dare to look up at the person in front of her. After all, she was only like this because of the mission.

Banner, seeing Natasha's expression, didn't think much of it.

The two continued towards their next destination, which was why Banner had arranged to meet Natasha earlier that morning.

They walked until they reached a relatively quiet street, and their hands clasped tighter and tighter, as if they wanted to be together forever.

This place is now completely away from Diana's residence.

"What's wrong, Natasha?" Banner stopped and looked at Natasha's retreating figure with a puzzled expression, asking.

"Don't you think we're a good match today?" Natasha turned her head, looked at Banner, and said with a seductive look in her eyes.

Banner smiled slightly, but the smile quickly disappeared.

“Natasha, I hope we can become lovers.” Banner’s eyes revealed determination, but without a trace of desire, like a clear lake.

"Are you serious?" Natasha looked at Banner, her eyes flashing with an unusual light, and asked.

"Yes, I'm serious." Banner said with a smile.

For the first time, Natasha couldn't face Banner's smile directly, and simply turned her face away.

“I’m sorry, Banner,” Natasha said softly.

"What?" Banner didn't hear what Natasha, who was holding his hand, said, so he could only ask.

But Natasha somehow produced a small stun gun and stuck it directly to Banner's neck.

Banner finally realized why this woman wasn't afraid of the big green thing inside him. She had ulterior motives from the start, and might even have had some purpose for the creature inside him.

"I really thought that finally someone could look at me and that green guy with ease." Banner shook his head, not caring at all about how much his handmade suit was worth, and plopped down on the wall of the alley.

“Dr. Banner, we just want to invite you to our place, we mean no harm.” Natasha held a small remote control in her hand, which was probably used to control the electric shock device on Banner’s neck.

The alleyway was completely blocked by that conspicuous black SUV, clearly indicating that they had rehearsed the plan countless times beforehand.

They already knew it by heart; they were just waiting for him, the turtle in the jar, to fall in.

"So that's why you only made your move when we got here." Banner finally realized why he insisted on going to that place that was clearly far from Midtown Manhattan when planning the trip.

They were simply afraid of the woman who lived in Midtown Manhattan.

At this moment, Banner also thought about the somewhat strange thing Diana had said when he was describing his date.

“That’s right, we’re here to avoid that guy. We simply can’t face him head-on.” A man dressed in S.H.I.E.L.D. commando gear stepped forward.

“Rumlow.” Natasha nodded to the man and handed the controller she was holding to Rumlow.

Rumlow examined the controller in his hand, then said to Banner, who was sitting by the alley wall, "Now, please come with us."

Banner remained seated, making no move whatsoever.

This was unacceptable to Rumlow, so he walked over to Banner and squatted down.

“I said, you should come with us.”

Banner finally raised his head and glanced at Rumlow.

“I don’t think you can take me away, even if you’re far away from Diana. You can’t take me away either, at least the big guy inside me won’t agree.” Banner smiled.

The moment that smile disappeared, Banner's body began to turn green and swell up.

The Hulk is about to appear.

Rumlow quickly pressed the control button on the stun gun in his hand, hoping to subdue the beast that was emerging.

Unfortunately.

The stun gun did indeed play a significant role, but it wasn't used to control the Hulk; rather, it accelerated the Hulk's emergence.

"Shit! Why isn't the stun gun working?" Rumlow quickly did an ugly roll on the ground and came to Natasha's side, who seemed completely unaffected.

“Then you should ask those guys in the science department, not me.” With that, Natasha left the blocked alley, knowing full well whether she would be of any use here.

Even she would only be one of the things Hulk would tear apart with his bare hands.

"Don't eat pickled radishes!" Rumlow blurted out a vulgar American curse.

But the big green guy in the alley didn't care what the kid was saying; he only knew that Banner was very angry, and he was angry too!

"Hulk!!!"

The big guy is very angry, and the consequences will be severe.

The first to be affected were the commando members from S.H.I.E.L.D.

As one of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s visible combat forces, they have never experienced a direct confrontation with this kind of monster.

No matter how many times they practiced, it was all useless. When people actually saw this monster face-to-face, they wouldn't have the same quick reaction as during training.

The original S.H.I.E.L.D. commandos could have learned from General Ross's commando team that faced the Hulk. But, there was no way.

General Ross and his squad were completely wiped out in the battle against Diana.

That means there's nowhere left to learn from.

We can't exactly go and visit Diana to ask her how to subdue the Hulk.

What's the difference between that and entrusting your life to Banner?

When Hulk stood up in the alley, there was no way to stop the scale of the conflict.

"bump!"

Hulk slammed a commando member against the wall, splattering blood everywhere.

This scene completely startled all the commando members, who unanimously pointed their guns at Hulk's head.

Before Rumlow could even speak, they had already pulled the triggers, releasing bullets that mingled with their fear and anger at the monster for killing their teammates.

What use would such a feeble attack have for the Hulk?

There wasn't even a mark left on Hulk's body; not even a scratch appeared.

Rumlow had already begun contacting command; this monster was not one they could subdue.

I heard the reply from the other end as soon as the communication was established.

"Thor has already gone there."

No sooner had the words been spoken than thunder rumbled in the once clear sky.

"Boom!"

Accompanied by the sound of thunder, a burly Scandinavian man landed in the alley.

He was clad in a suit of divine armor, draped in a red cloak, and wielding that familiar hammer.

The son of Odin has arrived.

“Wow, you’re really big,” Thor said to Hulk with a laugh. “But you’d better get a good night’s sleep now, big guy!”

With that, he grabbed Mjolnir and charged toward the Hulk.

Mjolnir slammed down, sending Hulk flying out of the alley and crashing into the black SUV.

The force of the impact, even after Hulk was sent flying and crashed into the SUV, did not diminish. Hulk and the SUV together slammed into a small shop on the other side.

When Hulk appeared, it was already destined that this year's Christmas would not have the same joyful festive atmosphere as before.

Even gangsters try to avoid trouble on Christmas Day, since the New York Police Department, which is often disturbed on Christmas Day, is not an organization to be trifled with.

For example, right now.

All the police officers who were originally on leave at home have returned to their posts.

After all, the burly man who nearly destroyed the entire Harlem district has reappeared. This time, they must evacuate the people properly; they can't let it happen again like last time.

Moreover, the heart of New York City, Midtown Manhattan, is not far from the battlefield. The bigwigs there are basically their financial backers.

However, this time, the one fighting the green behemoth was not another behemoth, that yellowish-brown guy.

Instead, he looks like a burly Scandinavian man doing cosplay.

But the NYPD wasn't interested in the fight between these two guys, and they couldn't get involved anyway.

However, the fully armed personnel with guns who appeared at the scene of the battle became their focus.

Those guys who don't even let people have a proper rest on Christmas Day are bound to receive different Christmas gifts from the New York Police Department.

"Hulk!"

The burly man burst out of the ruins of the small shop and roared at Thor.

"Come on, big guy!" Thor responded to Hulk's roar with some excitement.

Chapter 96: The Battle Begins!

While Hulk and Thor were locked in combat, Tony, far away on his private island, was already watching what was happening in New York City through Jarvis.

He genuinely hadn't expected anyone to dare make a move in New York. Weren't the lessons of General Ross and Abomination enough? If this attracted that guy in Manhattan, they wouldn't be any better off.
