"Wotfa!? What have you figured out this time?" Rhodes had never seen anything like this before; it was clearly something he knew nothing about.
"Watch closely!" Tony soared into the sky. He no longer needed to dodge; all his movements were solely for the purpose of inflicting the fastest possible damage.
Rhode had just changed into his armor and was about to take off when he saw Tony accelerate and squeeze through the mouth of a Leviathan, then emerge from its tail.
Without any obstruction, the Chitauri attacks had no effect on the thin membrane covering Tony.
"What is this?!" Rhode only wanted to know if this thing was another technological creation of Tony, something that would be the best on this kind of battlefield.
When you know that you have absolutely no need to worry about getting hurt, you will devote all your energy to killing.
"Haha!" Tony laughed loudly. "This is Diana's gift!"
Rhodes now understood why Tony was so excited back then; who wouldn't be excited about this?
“Jarvis, I need the fastest and most effective way to kill them, to teach these bastards a lesson.” Tony’s eyes were fixed on the Chitauri who were still recovering from their impulsiveness, and the angels on the side.
"No problem, sir."
Seeing the destructive plan Jarvis had devised within his visor, Tony didn't hesitate to unleash his Musou mode. At a time like this, not going all out would be foolish!
Rhode watched Tony's figure with envy, following behind him and dealing with the Chitauri fodder that were attacking from behind. Thinking of the golden membrane on Tony's body, he could only sigh; he wanted that too.
Chapter 117 Diana's Arrow
"Alas!"
Tony shouted excitedly after violently ramming and knocking over a Chitauri fighter jet that was flying around in the sky.
However, this also successfully attracted the attention of Steve and the others who were fighting hard on the ground.
Although Tony's attire has always been flamboyant, his current all-gold color makes him impossible to ignore.
This is why the Chitauri are keeping a close eye on Tony. Everyone's keeping a low profile, so if you suddenly go all out in a striking golden outfit, how can you have fun?
Unfortunately, they had absolutely no way to break through Tony's defenses now, not even when they blasted him away.
All the laser weapons hit Tony, but they had absolutely no effect.
"What is that?" Steve finally had a little free time, since Tony had lured the Chitauri away, and he only needed to rush towards the place where the angels had descended.
"I don't know, it must be some kind of Stark technology." Natasha looked at Tony Stark, who was now having a blast in the sky, took a short breath, and then plunged back into the fierce ground battle.
"Stark, do you still have that kind of skill?" Steve landed where the angel had descended, using his shield to block the angel's attack on someone.
"Damn ants." The angel was clearly furious that Steve had interrupted his execution. He slammed his longsword hard into Steve's side.
Even Captain America at the peak of his human potential couldn't completely block the angel's attack. He simply tried to minimize the damage to his body as the angel's sword struck.
"Boom!"
Steve crashed into an abandoned bus, blood trickling from his mouth. He could feel a burning sensation in his lower abdomen, which was almost entirely burned by the flames from the Angel Sword.
"You seem more interesting than them." The angel expressed interest in this human who had withstood its attack and was still able to stand up.
Steve took a deep breath, re-established his fighting stance, and said to the angel, "I can fight you all day long."
Without saying anything, the angel flapped its wings and rushed towards Steve.
Just as Steve was preparing for a head-on confrontation, a flippant voice came through his headset.
"Attention, Captain."
Tony, dressed entirely in gold, had somehow appeared nearby, his armor's thrusters operating at full power.
This was Jarvis's advice: use all the energy for propulsion and to ram into the enemy. After all, the golden membrane on Tony's body ensured that the guy wouldn't encounter any accidents.
Then, all you need to do is increase your speed to the maximum and smash all the obstacles in your way.
Tony didn't say anything. As long as he was fast enough, he could even smash vibranium without getting hurt or damaged.
Tony is now a super warhead that is absolutely indestructible and has its own propulsion.
The moment the super warhead named "Tony Stark" made contact with the angel, the birdman was instantly severed in the middle by Tony.
If Steve hadn't raised his shield in time, he would have been splattered with that birdman's blood. Besides, who knows if those birdmen are structurally different from humans? What if there's something unclean inside? The first thing Steve did after the battle was to take a shower.
"Sorry, Captain." Tony's completely insincere apology reached Steve's ears.
Steve, however, said into the headset, "Thank you."
Although I don't know if I can beat an angel, at least Tony meant well just now.
This left Tony speechless. He continued to destroy the manpower of both sides like a missile, but offered no response. Finally, after a long pause, he could only say, "This thing isn't my technology; it's Diana's divine power."
Steve forced a smile. He suddenly remembered that thing called Project (443). Now that he thought about it, those guys were really a bunch of delusional idiots.
Can that kind of woman be controlled with such a clumsy plan?
He stopped thinking about it and simply continued charging towards the other angel with his shield.
The eagle eye on the roof originally wanted to reach for another arrow, but unfortunately, it only reached for nothing.
"I'm out of arrows!" he shouted, now completely unable to stop the Chitauri from climbing up to the roof.
"Rhodes! Go check on Robin Hood!" Tony quickly cleared away the Chitauri above Hawkeye's head, but didn't deal with the ones downstairs, as the distant wormhole was still spewing out those demon-like Chitauri.
Those guys are his real targets; now Robin Hood can only be dealt with by Rhodes.
Rhodes didn't waste any time. He went straight behind Hawkeye, picked him up, and rushed towards Stark Tower. Jarvis had now become everyone's arsenal.
It is thanks to Stark's continued presence in this building, maintaining its research and development departments and a wealth of materials, that manufacturing can continue uninterrupted under these circumstances.
After dropping Hawkeye off at Stark Tower, Rhode said to him, "Are you alright?"
Klint nodded, and Rhodes said nothing more, returning to the skies above New York to continue the fight.
"No, if we don't shut down those two wormholes, the number of enemies will only increase." Natasha was currently controlling a Chitauri hovercraft, constantly kiting those creatures that weren't very agile in turning.
"Tony, is there a way to turn it off?"
Now they can only hope that Tony can give them an absolutely authoritative solution.
“Emmm, no.” Tony said directly. After all, the Chitauri wormhole appeared directly from the outside, so even if that device existed, it could only have come from the Chitauri on the other side of the wormhole.
They are currently unable to care about what's happening on the other side of that wormhole.
"I can!" Thor then smashed a birdman away with his hammer, sending him flying and landing directly below the Chitauri wormhole. "I can survive in outer space for a while, and I'll destroy their devices."
"Listen, big guy, you might not come back!" Tony solemnly advised the prince over the channel.
“No, we have the Rainbow Bridge. The Rainbow Bridge can bring me back.” Thor’s eyes seemed to be flashing with silver-white lightning.
Tony remained in his human missile form, but he kept wondering whether Thor's method was feasible.
"We don't have much time left!" Thor spun Mjolnir, about to charge into the center of the dark wormhole.
Just then, a golden arrow came hurtling towards them from afar.
The arrow was surrounded by a powerful divine light.
This arrow tore through the sky, heading straight for the silvery-white, holy halo. The immensely powerful arrow ripped anything that tried to approach or block it into chunks of flesh and blood, which fell from the sky.
Like a target shot, it hit the very center. But its momentum didn't diminish; it shot straight through the passage that only angels could pass through, heading straight for heaven.
The halo meant for the descent of angels was shattered and destroyed by this golden arrow.
Angels who come to Earth never have a way back to Heaven.
Standing on her balcony, Diana slowly drew back her bow, preparing to shoot her second arrow.
As for the reason for taking action, someone couldn't withstand the pressure anymore.
Chapter 118 I've come to pick up my things, you bedbug!
With the golden bow slowly drawn and the golden arrows gleaming, Diana now held the most powerful force in the world in her hands.
However, this force was directed at those scum who were attacking Earth, not Earth itself.
The angels and Chitauri naturally noticed this threatening figure and simultaneously rushed towards Diana.
Diana simply released her right hand from the bowstring, and the golden arrow she released carried an unstoppable force, tearing all those rushing towards her into blood and bone fragments.
At this moment, a powerful vortex of divine energy began to surround the golden arrow, constantly accelerating it.
However, this time the golden arrow did not destroy the Chitauri wormhole like it had before, which shattered the angelic aura with a single shot.
This golden arrow is clearly much more powerful than the previous one. If the previous golden arrow was a regular nuclear bomb, then this one is the Tsar Bomba.
The golden arrow streaked across the sky and disappeared completely into the horizon.
Let's turn back time to when the angels raised their swords against humanity.
Maria Hill, the current director of S.H.I.E.L.D., called Diana.
"You've agreed to my conditions?" Diana was somewhat impressed with these guys for holding out this long. Even an alien invasion hadn't managed to free the space carrier from their grasp.
Hill did not answer Diana's question, but simply said, "The Security Council would like to speak with you."
After saying that, he connected the call to the current meeting between S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Security Council. Hill said nothing more, but stepped aside and waited for the final result.
"What do you want to talk to me about?" Diana held the phone in her right hand and swung the Sword of Vulcan with her left, cleaving a birdman flying towards them in two.
“Ms. Diana, we hope you can step in and save New York City.” Although Diana couldn’t see the man speaking, she automatically pictured a typical politician’s face in her mind. “This would be a win-win situation for both you and us.”
"Have you agreed to my conditions?" Diana didn't care what nonsense this guy was spouting; she was just asking if these guys had agreed to the conditions of handing over the space carrier to her.
"We can't possibly hand over something like that to private ownership..."
Diana had no interest in arguing with them, so she hung up and called Tony. Basically, the call was answered almost immediately.
"Want to do it again?" Diana's eyes began to glow with gold, and she could clearly see Tony changing clothes in Stark Tower, along with his friend War Machine.
"Is it okay?" Luckily, Tony realized what she meant, otherwise Diana would definitely have called Pepper and said that Tony hadn't settled down yet.
"Just wait." Diana hung up the phone immediately.
She then enveloped Tony in the membrane of her divine power.
The moment Diana hung up on Hill, the entire conference room fell silent.
Hill wasn't surprised at all by Diana's decision to leave the house. After all, you're still thinking about getting someone to work for you for free? Are you out of your mind?
Thinking this, Hill couldn't help but glance at the Security Council member who had spoken with Diana earlier.
