However, the sheer power of the sword also sent the orc-like creature flying, crashing into and shattering a Chitauri Leviathan that was heading towards the wormhole. It was completely unrecognizable from its previous form, now just fragments floating in space.
Diana's excitement deepened. She could sense that the seemingly massive collision hadn't actually caused any damage to the thick-skinned black dwarf. It might have only broken the outer layer, or perhaps the outer layer remained completely intact.
At most, the impact was a bit too great, which made him feel a little dizzy and disoriented.
Diana simply stood there, holding the Sword of Vulcan, waiting for the giant to recover so they could continue their game.
Sometimes, for Diana now, a fun game is more important than many other things.
At least that's how it is now.
As for that guy who had recovered, standing there with his mouth wide open, doing who-knows-what, Diana could only take it as a challenge from that thing.
With a slight smile, Diana raised her longsword again and charged at the man. This was just the appetizer, wasn't it?
Black Dwarf showed absolutely no fear as he faced Diana charging towards him, colliding head-on with the woman who had previously cleaved him in two.
To him, men and women on Earth were nothing more than tiny insects that he could manipulate at will.
Even if this little insect has some power, it cannot change the black dwarf's perception of them.
Right now, all he wanted was to smash this guy into a bloody pulp to wash away the humiliation of being sent flying in one blow—an unforgivable disgrace for the Black Obsidian Five.
The collision of the sword and the iron hook was completely silent, yet it always gave the impression that the sound produced by the collision was absolutely earth-shattering.
This time, Black Dwarf wasn't cleaved away by Diana's sword.
However, Black Dwarf could see a hint of mockery in the eyes of the guy who was currently wrestling with him over weapons.
This guy is playing with himself, completely disregarding him as one of the Black Order.
She simply felt that fighting with herself was a great form of entertainment.
Although she didn't really want to dampen his enthusiasm, Diana did hold back to avoid any problems. After all, this punching bag was more resilient than the guy she kept locked in the Insightful Chamber.
He then delivered a powerful kick to the black dwarf's abdomen, sending him flying again, tumbling through space. He showed no signs of stopping until he crashed into a Leviathan, finally coming to a halt.
Diana had no intention of staying where she was and flew directly toward Black Dwarf, this time with the Sword of Vulcan transformed into a divine shield.
With her divine shield protecting her, Diana delivered a shield bash to Black Dwarf, the shield slamming heavily into Black Dwarf's abdomen.
If that part of his physiology is called the waist and abdomen.
The impact came incredibly quickly, even beyond Black Dwarf's expectations, leaving him no room to recover.
Diana crashed into Black Dwarf, causing only the surface of Black Dwarf's skin to begin to crack, but Leviathan behind Black Dwarf was not so lucky.
The black dwarf that Diana struck was like a large-caliber bullet hitting a human body, directly splitting Leviathan in two, leaving it lifeless.
But the Chitauri, as biological weapons, didn't care whether they would also be split in two in the aftermath of their battle with Diana on Black Dwarf; they continued their march towards Earth. After all, most of the Chitauri were now forced to stay here to guard their mothership because of her and Black Dwarf, and very few were able to advance towards Earth.
Diana ignored these obvious cannon fodder groups. Tony and his team could handle the small fry who entered Earth; they wouldn't even let them leave Midtown Manhattan.
Diana, standing on Black Dwarf, relentlessly rained blows on the man's ugly face. Without a shred of mercy, she delivered several more punches, tearing the man's skin and flesh. All of this happened in the blink of an eye, flawlessly, simply and brutally.
Even when Diana raised her hand, you could see the blood splattering from the blow she had delivered to Black Dwarf's face.
However, this blood can only float in the vacuum, slowly turning into drops of ice.
Black Dwarf never imagined that he would meet such a ferocious guy in his lifetime, someone who was no less ruthless than the two sisters.
They were even far superior to those two, and had absolutely no chance to fight back.
However, his talent was enough to keep him sane amidst Diana's relentless onslaught, and to ensure his head wasn't smashed to mush by those heavy blows.
Now, Diana has stopped, not because she's run out of options with this guy. It's just that he passed his test.
This guy is definitely qualified to be a sparring partner for the Insightful Ones.
Moreover, he has sufficient physical strength, and he doesn't have divine power like a god as his main means; this guy's strength comes entirely from his own tough body.
A perfect punching bag talent.
Diana then delivered a whip kick in mid-air, completely turning the guy into a C-shape.
It tumbles and struggles endlessly in the universe.
Judging from the way that huge creature kept adjusting its posture in space, Diana probably realized that it might not be well-suited to fighting in this environment.
However, as one of the Black Order, Black Dwarf should not lack any experience in space combat.
It seems that this guy is only suitable for combat on planets, and he's the kind of guy who charges ahead all by himself.
Diana didn't want to bully this guy either; after all, sometimes games are only fun because they're fair. She couldn't keep dragging him into space to fight just because he wasn't good at combat in space.
Furthermore, as the initiator of the game, Diana had the absolute power to flip the table at the slightest provocation.
The first thing to do now is to get what I'm entitled to.
For example, that super-energy source that opened a wormhole over Manhattan.
Diana's eyes regained their golden hue, and the gleaming energy source was now completely exposed to her.
Let's take that thing down first, shut down the wormhole, and find a place to have some fun with that black dwarf.
To Diana, the Chitauri's placement of the Tesseract was like placing gold directly beneath a gold miner's equipment, with virtually no distance between them.
After glancing at Black Dwarf, who hadn't fully recovered, Diana charged straight toward the Chitauri mothership.
The Chitauri were completely powerless to stop Diana even for a second. They could only watch helplessly as Diana, like a humanoid missile, crashed into their mothership, exposing the Cosmic Cube, which had been continuously outputting energy, to the outside world.
The barrier created by pure energy had no effect on Diana; it was as if it was welcoming her arrival.
It opened its body, which everyone longed for, toward Diana.
Just as Diana obtained the item, a projection appeared in front of her.
The one was burly, but not quite like that big guy; he looked very much like an orc, except that his entire body was covered in purple skin.
Oh, and that signature grooved chin.
The guy just stared straight at Diana, who was now appearing in front of his projection.
Diana simply mouthed the words; she had no idea the guy opposite her wouldn't understand what she was saying.
After all, they were both cursed, but this guy had been in contact with the universe much earlier than Tony Stark.
In fact, when he came into contact with the universe, Tony's father didn't even have a shape yet.
Diana gave the guy a defiant smile and charged toward the black dwarf with the Tesseract.
As for the Chitauri mothership, it also transformed into the most perfect fireworks display in this space at that moment, producing only beautiful sparks without the sound of fireworks exploding.
The projection of the purple sweet potato spirit also disappeared from this universe along with the Chitauri mothership.
What followed was the transformation of the Chitauri people in New York City into slumps of rotting fish, completely unable to move.
The wormholes in the sky are also constantly collapsing and shrinking, and will soon disappear completely.
"Jarvis, is Diana back?" Tony asked Jarvis anxiously, looking at the collapsing wormhole space in the sky.
"Ms. Diana is about to land in Central Park with a big guy."
Tony had absolutely no doubt that Diana was able to return to Earth before the wormhole collapsed, but why bring back such a big guy?
Unless that big guy has something special about him.
Jarvis's observation was correct; Diana was landing in Central Park, stepping on a gray, granite-like monster in the now extremely small wormhole.
"Boom!"
High in the sky, he was slammed to the ground by Diana's foot without any cushioning. Even the thick-skinned Black Dwarf couldn't escape unscathed from such an impact.
Even the surface of its granite-like skin has completely cracked, and it could turn into a pile of rubble at any moment.
Diana gently jumped off the black dwarf, still holding the Tesseract she had regained in her hand.
Tony landed next to Diana and the first thing he observed was Black Dwarf lying in the crater.
“This is…” Tony was a little at a loss for words, after all, this guy wasn’t exactly good-looking, you could only say he wasn’t disgusting.
“It’s nothing, I brought him back to play a game.” Diana smiled at Tony, but the malice in her smile made Tony feel a little worried about the guy’s future.
He knew better than anyone what was under the Insight Tower, or what had been built there.
The level of sturdiness there is definitely higher than that of the quiet room.
"Here, take this. I think you should be able to use it well. But be careful, it might not be safe." Diana casually tossed the Tesseract to Tony. It was of little use to Diana, since it was just a product of a single universe.
It's useless outside of this universe.
Tony had absolute confidence in what Diana could offer, after all, this woman wasn't interested in just anything.
The thing that she specifically reminded me of was definitely not something simple.
"Is this the thing from S.H.I.E.L.D.?" Tony held the Tesseract, carefully examining the cube that shimmered with a deep blue halo.
"The Tesseract, and it's not something from S.H.I.E.L.D. I gave it to you, so naturally I can take it back." Ignoring Tony's gaze, Diana simply explained the connection between the object and S.H.I.E.L.D.
After all, it was Diana who initially obtained it and then handed it over to S.H.I.E.L.D., and now it's just being taken back.
There's no problem.
"You're going to put this guy in the basement of the Insight Tower, aren't you?" Tony said to Diana with certainty, looking at the ugly thing that had completely passed out.
Diana nodded: "This thing is just physically strong, but it doesn't have any special abilities. It's perfect as a sparring partner. I'll find you other types of sparring partners later."
Tony's lips twitched; he'd guessed right. Diana had no other intentions whatsoever; she simply wanted to use that thing as a punching bag for everyone.
"Don't worry, I've already tested it. You can hit me all you want; I'm unlikely to die," Diana said casually to Tony, arms crossed.
She has even undergone endurance tests!
Tony was now unsure whether to feel fortunate or sorry for this guy. He had survived Diana's clutches, yet he had to endure the tragic reality of becoming a mere punching bag.
All I can say is that he's still alive.
"Oh, by the way, S.H.I.E.L.D. has a big toy for me. Can you help me see if there's anything I can improve?" Diana said to Tony, since he was the only one who knew this best.
Even that guy with seven doctoral degrees might not have Tony's genius in this area.
Therefore, Diana felt at ease entrusting the space carrier to this young man.
"What is it?" Tony asked, somewhat curious.
“You’ll understand when you see it.” With that, Diana dragged Black Dwarf away from New York and headed straight for the Insight Building.
Steve and the others, arriving late, could only watch as Tony stared blankly at a pit in the ground.
