How to raise a random guy's wife

Shibuya Kaon struggled to pull the notice cart, on which stood Tang Keke holding a paper megaphone.
"Give us back our freedom!" Tang Keke shouted loudly, her voice righteous and indignant. "It's wrong to be unable to freely participate in club activities! Club activities should be equal for everyone! You all think so too, right, everyone? Let's fight together! Today the school idol club is banned, tomorrow other clubs will be banned. If you don't want to be next, stand up now and join us in resisting the student council's unfair treatment! The song of freedom should not be bound by unreasonable rules! Those who support us, please sign your names!"
"Waaaah..." Shibuya Kanon cried, dragging the notice cart, on the verge of tears. "I don't think it's like this..."
Kobayashi Sora said it wasn't time to resort to extreme measures yet, right?
Shibuya Kanon felt that this method was already quite extreme.
"Xiangyin?" a passing friend asked curiously, "What are you doing?"
"Let's just call this a signature campaign. It would be much better if we could create our own clubs, wouldn't it?" Shibuya Kanon wearily handed over a signature sheet. "Please sign this."
“That’s not good,” the friends said worriedly. “What if Hazuki finds out?” “We have to do it secretly…” “The music class might get on our radar.”
"I didn't do anything wrong..." Shibuya Kanon said seriously, "Besides..."
They want everyone to know about it.
[“Music is a precious honor for Kiyokawa Girls’ High School, but that doesn’t mean that students outside the music class don’t have the right to enjoy music. Because those who aren’t in the music class can’t participate in musical activities; it’s something that can only be done, not talked about.”] Kobayashi Sora gently persuaded, [“If you spread this around and it becomes known throughout the school, it will become something that can only be talked about but not done, and the chairperson will inevitably have to deal with it. She will call you in for a talk, call Hazuki Ren to understand the situation, and then declare that the school will not stop your actions, to avoid anyone saying that the music class is superior and that the school is discriminating against you.”]
That's what it means...
Shibuya Kanon sighed, wondering when the chairman would come to see them.
"Kane!" Arashi Chisara called out as she ran over quickly, "Chairman...the chairman is looking for you!"
-
“So,” Kato Megumi said with some concern, “can they really succeed?”
"It's not a big problem." Kobayashi Sora looked at the books on the bookstore shelves. "But there will probably be additional conditions."
"Additional conditions?"
"Hazuki Ren forbids the school idol club because she's worried they'll perform poorly and embarrass the school, which would lower the value of the school's music program," Kobayashi Sora explained. "So, all we need to do is find a way to ensure they have no chance of performing poorly."
"for example?"
"For example, a rule that requires participants to be in the top three in a competition."
“In that case,” Kato Megumi understood, “if they don’t perform well, they should disband themselves; if they perform well, it’s fine to let them continue.”
"That's exactly what I mean. This way, we can ensure the freedom of student club activities while also guaranteeing the quality of music activities at Kiyoka Girls' High School," Kobayashi Sora added. "The decisive factor in whether club activities can proceed has also changed from Hazuki Ren's rather domineering personal decision to the individual abilities of the participants. Even if the school idol club is disbanded later, no one will say it's due to interference from the school, but rather that the participants lack the necessary abilities."
"It maintained a good reputation, preserved the value of the music class, and gave students the freedom to do their activities. No matter the outcome, the school suffered no loss," Kato Megumi murmured. "I feel that this style of doing things is a bit like that of Sora Aoi."
“I’m just like them,” Kobayashi Sora corrected. “The result doesn’t matter, as long as I’m not responsible—there are people like that everywhere. They’ve developed a detailed set of operating rules, including but not limited to timely reporting of work progress, reasonable allocation of work content, leaving all decisions to superiors, and delegating all actions to subordinates, etc…”
"If the decision-making is flawed, it's the superior's responsibility; if the action is flawed, it's the subordinate's responsibility." Kato Megumi stared in disbelief. "So, I bear no responsibility at all?"
"Well... that's the effect I wanted."
"But if something really goes wrong, someone has to take responsibility."
"That's why the suicide rate keeps going down." Kobayashi Sora found her target. "Let's not talk about this anymore. We've finally found it."
"Huh? What? It's so thick."
"This is a textbook on the free engine software used in almost all doujin games, and this is only the first volume." Kobayashi Sora picked up the book and quickly found the second volume next to it. "The voice acting and the like can be added later, like a fully voiced version, but the programming is the key step in turning Eriri's original artwork and Senpai's text into the game. Since the original artwork and script haven't progressed yet, it's a good time to learn about it."
"I thought you would ask someone for help."
“Unlike creative work, which is driven by passion and inspiration, programming is a typical office worker's job. It's something I can do myself, so I don't need to bother others.” Kobayashi Sora was holding two large books. “It's not like epic RPGs with giant monsters, fighting games where your hands have to move so fast your eyes can't keep up, or highly replayable puzzle games. Once you have the visual and textual materials, you only need a simple program to complete a galgame. You don't need to design a whole program from scratch. You just need to write the source code that can be used in an existing game engine. —Since you've come all this way, is there any book you'd like to buy?”
Kato Megumi looked around. "There aren't any here."
"Then let's go take a look at the area that interests you." As soon as Kobayashi Sora took a step, her phone started vibrating.
The caller was Shibuya Kanon.
"Hmm, I see... Okay, I understand." Kobayashi Sora paused. "Arrangement, you can do that. Lyrics? Hmm, choreography and dance, Chizuru? Okay, if you need any help, feel free to contact me. Okay, that's all."
Kobayashi Sora put down the phone. "It's a success."
"Just like you thought?"
“Just a little bit,” Kobayashi Sora replied. “The chairman asked us to get first place in the festival that the nearby school idols would be participating in.”
Chapter 79 Sawamura's niece
"Hmm..." Kato Megumi thought for a moment, "It feels very difficult."
“I think the same way,” Kobayashi Sora said as she walked. “But she has her own plans, and I’ve done all I can.”
"You're not going there anymore?"
"Hmm, would you like to go to Sawamura-kun's house together?"
"Eh?"
“I’m good friends with Mr. Leonard, Sawamura’s father. He’s finished the whole game he borrowed last time and wanted to borrow some more from me,” Kobayashi Sora explained. “He wanted to bring them over, but I refused.”
"why?"
"I felt bad about leaving in such a hurry last time, so this is a visit. I'll bring the game he wants and buy some fruit while I'm at it."
Kato Megumi tilted her head. "Is the main target Sawamura-kun?"
"You found out."
"Your goals are always very clear."
"My light novel has been approved and now I need illustrations and a cover."
"Huh?" Kato Megumi looked visibly surprised. "You wrote this?"
I copied it.
"Hmm, only one volume so far."
"Can I watch it?"
“Of course,” Kobayashi Sora chuckled, “I’ll give you the revised version later.”
“You can just take the game,” Kato Megumi suggested. “I’ll buy the fruit as a return gift for the ribbon from last time… even though the prices are quite different.”
“The value of a gift lies in the sentiment, not the price,” Kobayashi Sora comforted him. “Besides, a friend like me with a rich collection is someone that Mr. Leonard would never buy with any amount of money—so we’re even.”
But Eriri and Mr. Leonard are family...
Kato Megumi gave a soft "hmm" and went home with Kobayashi Sora.
After leaving the thick books at home and putting the game Leonard wanted to borrow in her bag, Kobayashi Sora sent messages to Leonard and Eriri, bought some fruit with Kato Megumi, and headed towards the villa on the hillside.
Inside the villa, Eriri took off her contact lenses, put on thick-rimmed glasses, and changed out of her school uniform and knee-high socks into more comfortable junior high school sportswear.
Hmm...it fits perfectly.
"Oh dear~" Mom Sawamura Sayuri's voice rang out, "Aren't you going to dress up properly this time?"
"Who wants to dress him up!"
"I didn't expect you two to have progressed to the point where you can be completely honest with each other."
"No way!" Eriri retorted, "What do you mean by being completely honest?!"
“It’s about not hiding your true self,” Sayuri Sawamura raised an eyebrow. “What do you think?”
"Me...who cares about him!"
"She says she doesn't care, but she strongly protests having his doujinshi drawn." Sayuri Sawamura smiled. "She still cares, doesn't she?"
"Who in their right mind would draw in a notebook with their classmate and their own dad?!" Eriri was furious just thinking about it. "And it was her own mom who asked her to do it. Anyone in their right mind would refuse!"
Sayuri Sawamura looked longingly at her. "It's wonderful! The forbidden lover is my daughter's classmate. They met and got to know each other because of the same hobbies. Isn't it amazing that they have such a great friendship despite the age gap?"
"What's so great about it!"
Even Eriri, who is open to both meat and vegetables, couldn't accept this kind of development.
Sawamura Sayuri sighed, "Eriri, your understanding of love is still too narrow."
"Please let me remain narrow-minded," Eriri said, her face darkening. "It's fine."
The maid approached silently. "Madam, the guests have arrived. Dinner will be delivered to the kitchen once it's ready."
"Yes, you've worked hard." Sayuri Sawamura chuckled. "You guys should rest."
Sayuri Sawamura doesn't want guests to feel too distant.
"Yes."
"Let's go, let's go welcome your classmates together."
"If Kato hadn't come, who would have cared about him?" Eriri snorted and reluctantly followed her mother out of the room.
-
"Brother Kongqing!" Leonard gave Xiaolin Kongqing a big hug.
"Leonard, first..."
"Ok?"
"elder brother."
Leonard smiled happily, "Welcome, welcome."
"This is Megumi Kato, my classmate. Like Sawamura, she is a member of the club."
“Those are like-minded friends.” Leonard took the fruit and games. “Eri has more and more friends, that’s wonderful.”
“It’s been a long time since Eriri’s friends have come to our house.” Sayuri Sawamura approached Eriri, “Make yourself at home.”
That's what it means...
Kato Megumi glanced around the reception room.
Her home doesn't have a living room this big.
Kobayashi Sora greeted him politely, "Ah..."
Sawamura Sayuri: "Hmm?"
Hello, sister.
