Ark Undead

Old Benny took the money bag and was about to count it.
Before he could empty the money from his purse, he heard the Undead ask a question.
"Can you do me a favor?"
"what?"
Old Benny looked up at the undead in front of him.
The Undead asked Old Benny in a very serious tone.
"Help me with a small favor. It's a personal matter."
"I..."
Old Benny instinctively wanted to say he wouldn't help, but then he suddenly realized that the bounty hunter in front of him was not the same person as the woman he had met that afternoon.
Well, he was a bit nervous today; the word "private matter" had become an overreaction for him.
"You...you tell me first, and I'll see if I can help."
To prevent a recurrence of the near-heart attack he suffered, old Benny left himself some leeway.
The Undead approached the bar and spoke in a low, solemn voice.
"I need a basin or bucket that won't burn. And some firewood."
"?" That's it?
Old Benny breathed a sigh of relief and nodded.
"I'll go find it for you right away!"
...
Ten minutes later.
The Undead sat in front of a large, fired basin filled with firewood.
A long sword twisted into a spiral shape was inserted into the bottom piece of hard firewood and secured with other firewood.
The flames burning in the basin illuminated the entire room and brought a familiar and warm atmosphere.
Even when staying in a hotel, people won't give up the habit of lighting a campfire unless someone dies.
The window was opened slightly to ensure proper airflow.
Kroos, like the Undead, sat before the brazier.
She took the weapons off her back and carefully maintained them one by one.
This is what Little Ceobe values most; these weapons that allow her to survive are her best friends.
Night had fallen, and the Undead had taken out his books, ready to begin his reading for the day.
I'll find Old Benny to take on some tasks tomorrow during the day.
At this rate of consumption, the reserves of the Undead would probably be exhausted in just a few days.
Although the amount of meat she ate that day was already terrifying, it was still outrageous when converted to ordinary food.
Taking care of all of Kroos's food every day is no easy task.
She has a huge appetite.
"Take a shower, go to sleep."
The Undead said something to Kroos before reading the book.
"Tomorrow, we'll beat up the bad guys."
"bath?"
Kroos raised his dirty face and looked at the Undead with a puzzled expression.
It's likely that this is a newly encountered word in her mind.
"bath."
The immortal put down his book and pointed to the door on the wall.
"Go in, there's water, soak in it."
For him, taking a bath was something from a very long time ago.
But he understood the meaning of taking a bath, which was probably knowledge he had encountered in his forgotten past.
Kroos understood this simple instruction best, and she nodded to indicate that she understood.
So she put down her weapon and pushed open the door to the cubicle.
Krobe saw a wooden barrel and hot water inside.
Then she jumped in.
The immortal heard a splash as he entered the water, but didn't think much of it and continued reading his book.
Ten minutes later, Kroos opened the door to the cubicle and came out.
"Undying, Kroos, take a bath, done!"
Upon hearing Kroos's voice, the undead instinctively looked up.
The filth on his body was dissolved by the soaking, and the oil and bloodstains on his hair were almost completely cleaned.
But Kroos was still wearing his clothes, which were worn out and tattered. Now they were wet and stuck to his body, exposing a lot of skin and the dark purple Originium crystals growing on his body.
The Undead frowned.
He almost forgot that Kroos's clothes were almost completely worn out.
That won't do. No matter what kind of protective gear you use, you still need clothing to protect your body during combat.
"There are clothes inside."
The immortal pointed to the cubicle again.
"Use a cloth to dry your hair and body. Put on new clothes."
"Oh."
Kroos nodded again, and the ears on his head wobbled as he ran back to the cubicle.
The immortal lowered his head again and continued reading.
These two idiots haven't realized anything is wrong so far, and their exchanges are limited to just a few simple words.
Forget about Kroos, this kid doesn't even have basic common sense.
But the immortal didn't feel anything was wrong either!
Well, even the undead lack common sense in some places.
This might be why Kroos subconsciously follows the Undead.

The next morning, the Undead heard a noise downstairs, so he got up, put down the book he was holding, and went out the door.
Kroos lay in bed, clutching the soft, warm blanket tightly.
The sleeping posture was extremely ungraceful; the upper body was completely covered by the blanket, while the lower body was exposed.
Fortunately, Old Benny had prepared pants. Otherwise, if anyone had seen this scene, they would definitely be in serious trouble.
Of course, whether we can beat someone who doesn't die is another story.
As he walked downstairs, the Undead saw Old Benny preparing today's hot milk tea. He found a seat next to the bar and sat down casually.
"You're so free to come down early in the morning instead of sleeping in, watching this old man cook. You must have a lot of free time."
Old Benny saw the Undead sit down at the bar, put down his tea leaves, poured the Undead a glass of water, and asked.
"What would you like to eat?"
"Receive the mission."
The Undead pointed to the notice board behind Old Benny and asked.
"Did you complete the mission today?"
"Oh, not yet."
Old Benny went to the back room to take a look, and when he came out again, he was holding a lot of papers in his hand.
"This is the list of tasks I plan to post today. Take a look and let me know if there are any tasks you like."
The Undead took the stack of papers and examined them carefully.
Seeing that the Undead had begun selecting tasks, Old Benny continued to pick up the tea leaves and weigh the amount needed.
While doing his own thing, Old Benny casually asked a question.
"Do you know that bounty hunter named Skadi?"
"Skadi?"
The Undead didn't look up; he just pondered for a moment. But he didn't recognize the name, so he shook his head.
"do not know."
"That's the woman carrying the greatsword, with silver-white hair, very beautiful. She's also one of the most dangerous bounty hunters."
Old Benny was somewhat surprised to hear that the Undead didn't recognize Skadi.
"You just became a bounty hunter recently?"
"almost."
The Undead man placed a sign next to him that said "Looking for a dog" and said.
"Less than two months."
"Wow, I can't tell at all that you're a newbie."
Old Benny glanced at the greatsword the Undead had placed beside him, then shook his head.
