Ark Undead

Xisha took off his hat and bowed slightly to the Undead.
"It's another wonderful day, isn't it?"
Xisha has been in Victoria for so long that he's almost become a Victorian himself; even his manner of greeting is quite similar to that of the Victorians.
"Good morning."
The Undead also greeted Xisha, and then got into the car.
The vehicle started and quickly drove away from the alley.
The Undead sat in the back, and Xisha noticed that the Undead had not brought any weapons today.
"Mr. Undying, how about we make you some clothes now? What are your thoughts?"
"idea?"
"The immortal asked."
"What, an idea?"
"Exactly, have you ever thought about what kind of clothes you want to wear? What style, what type?"
Xisha drove ahead while explaining some basic facts to the undead behind him.
"Alright, it seems you're not aware of this yet, Mr. Undead. Let me explain it to you."
While the car stopped at the traffic light, Xisha took the miniature terminal screen next to her, swiped on it for a while, and then handed it to the Undead behind her.
After the Undead took the screen, he saw all sorts of clothes on it, including formal wear and some everyday clothes.
"Well, although the job requires you to wear more ordinary clothes, I still think it would be good to take this opportunity to make you a few more outfits."
Xi Sha stepped on the gas, and the vehicle started up again.
"After all, you will have to go through many more occasions in the future, and the aristocratic circles in Upper Victoria place great importance on clothing. It is very necessary to have one or two appropriate outfits to deal with different occasions."
The Undead looked at the various clothes on the screen in his hand. He thought they were all too flashy, but he still let Xisha continue talking.
"Tell me about it."
The immortal nodded.
"I'm listening."
"Alright. Well, let's talk about work clothes first."
When this was mentioned, Xisha seemed to get excited and started talking non-stop.
"Since I'm serving as Miss Skyfire's assistant, the primary considerations should be ease of movement and protection of my body. Of course, in Miss Skyfire's eyes, I also need to be aesthetically pleasing so that she can feel comfortable looking at me."
"Therefore, my recommendation is to make a robe from a special material. This will provide sufficient protection as the outermost garment. You can wear a regular lining and trousers underneath, and normal boots for shoes."
"You can wear the robe when you're working, and for everyday life you can use a regular lining and trousers as a base layer, and then wear other clothes."
"You sound familiar, Miss Skyfire?"
The immortal couldn't help but ask.
"You also applied for jobs?"
"Haha, no, I've just had some contact with Miss Tianhuo and have a general idea of her personality."
Xisha smiled and shook his head, he said.
“We previously hired Ms. Tianhuo to calculate trade routes for us. As an expert in geology and Originium geology, she is truly professional when it comes to determining transnational trade routes. Therefore, we have communicated with her.”
"so..."
The Undead nodded, finally understanding the meaning of the two sentences about geology and Originium geology degrees in the Skyfire's information.
Is love just about finding your way?
"Miss Skyfire has a strong sense of self-respect in her field and dislikes being disturbed. When working with her, you often don't need to say anything; she can handle everything on her own. Also, the temperature around her isn't low, so you should prepare some insulated and cool clothes for yourself."
"I'm not afraid of the heat."
The Immortals Theory.
"That's enough. No, it's too expensive."
When it comes to prices, the Undying Man remains as stingy as ever.
It seems that only when buying firewood will the immortals use the most expensive and least caring attitude to buy it.
Soon, the two drove to an old street in the Upper East Side with a strong Victorian style and stopped the car.
"This is where most of the Victorian artisans live."
The two got out of the car, and Xisha explained to the immortal.
"Many century-old shops have been passed down from generation to generation. What the father does, the children do too. This includes watch repair, tailoring, and shoemaking."
As she spoke, Xisha led the Undead into the street.
The long road is paved with stone bricks, and the buildings along the roadside still retain the old Victorian style decorations. Green vines and ivy spread across the luxurious ornaments, adding a touch of restraint to the grandeur and making it look full of the atmosphere of the times.
Although it was still morning, some people were already walking on the street.
An elderly gentleman in a suit, leaning on a cane, waited outside the watch shop to pick up his repaired watch.
Two ladies also came out of the tailor shop together, having just received their custom-made clothes.
The Undead followed Xisha straight ahead and finally entered a very unassuming old shop in the very center of the street.
Ding-a-ling, ding-a-ling.
Pushing open the door activated the bell hanging in the sky, producing a melodious ringing sound.
The first thing an undead person sees upon entering the room is the various small objects hanging on the surrounding walls.
This includes buttons arranged in a basin, a prepared belt, and some top hats and gloves.
The most eye-catching items, of course, are the standard uniforms hanging on the left wall. In most cases, these are the clothes favored by Victorian gentlemen, elegant and traditional, yet not lacking in manners.
The young man standing in the middle of the counter looked up at the Undead and Xisha who had entered the store.
"Mr. Xisha, welcome!"
Upon seeing Xisha, the young man immediately put on a smile, waved to Xisha, and walked over to greet her.
"Well, Ryan, how is your father?"
Xisha and Ryan shook hands briefly, then immediately let go.
"Thank you for your concern. My father is doing well. He's making the clothes that need to be delivered tomorrow."
Ryan glanced back at the back room, which was hidden by a drape of cloth, and shouted.
"Father! Mr. Xisha has arrived!"
"Oh! I'm here!"
A short while later, an elderly man with gray hair pulled back the cloth and came out from the back room.
He first greeted Xisha, then looked at the Undead beside him.
"Is this the gentleman?"
The old man was not surprised by the armor on the undead, and he reached out his hand to the undead.
“My name is Wilson Seaman, and this is my son, Ryan Seaman. What’s your name?”
The immortal extended his hand, shook hands with the old tailor briefly, and then quickly let go.
"Immortal."
"Hmm... let's come in first and take some body measurements."
Old Man Seaman waved his hand in, a kind smile on his wrinkled face.
The Undead glanced at Xisha, who patted him on the shoulder.
"Go inside. He'll take your measurements. After that, you don't need to worry about anything else."
The Undead immediately followed Old Man Siman into the back.
Old Siman, holding a soft ruler, smiled at the Undead.
"Take it off."
The Undead paused for a moment, then cupped his helmet on his head with both hands.
97. The heavy culture of Victoria
The helmet was removed by a pair of gauntlet-covered hands and placed aside.
Before long, the gauntlets, breastplate, and leg armor were all removed and placed aside.
Old tailor Wilson Seaman pushed up his glasses; he could already see the undead's approximate figure and his face.
"Hmm... let's turn around."
Old Man Seaman waved his hand, and the Undead turned around and raised his hands.
It's clear that the Undead is very cooperative, probably because they've had custom-made costumes before.
"Has the customer had clothes made before?"
"No."
Without the reverberation of the helmet, the Undead's voice sounds slightly thin. But it's still a bit hoarse and dry, which gives it a crisper sound.
"Armor, lining, made."
"Oh, that's about right. No wonder you cooperated with me."
Old Man first measured the undead man from behind his shoulder, then had him turn around and recorded his arm, chest, and waist measurements.
Not long after, when old Seaman wrote down the last data in his notebook, he clapped his hands, looked up and said to the Undead.
"Alright, guests, you can put your armor back on now."
The undead nodded to him, his deep, serene gaze falling on the armor beside him. His veined, dry hands picked up the armor again and slowly put it back on.
His slightly long hair, no more than shoulder-length, concealed his forehead and part of his face. It appeared to be naturally curly, but one could still see his thin lips and straight nose from beneath the hair covering his face.
