Ark Undead

Everything I saw and heard along the way was truly illusory.

Bloodblade Knight shook his head, sheathed his twin blades back into their sheaths, and secretly followed the departing poor family.

We can't let them get caught halfway through their journey, can we?

We should at least make sure we're safely several dozen miles away from Chernobog.

Otherwise, all his efforts to save people would be in vain, which is not the style of a Knight of Honor of Kazimierz.

As he thought this, the Bloodblade Knight seemed to blend into the shadows, constantly weaving between street corners, yet always hovering a hundred meters behind that ordinary person's house.

Later, even the sun was submerged in the sea.

Beneath the clouds, inside a transport plane that had been traveling for several hours, a rider gripped the handlebars beside him and pressed himself firmly to the spot.

Just as acceleration began, because he hadn't fastened his seatbelt properly... or rather, he hadn't even found the seatbelt. So, the inertia of that acceleration caused him to be thrown several meters to the side, crashing into the wall.

With a thud, the helmet made intimate contact with the wall, causing even the Undead to shake their heads.

Then he held that position for several hours.

Ten minutes ago, the pilot informed the Undead via broadcast that they were about to reach their destination, the Ursus territory, and asked them to prepare for landing.

So he gripped the handle even tighter.

This grip, made of reinforced metal, has now completely transformed into the shape of an undead hand.

Suddenly, a strong feeling of weightlessness caused the Undead to press himself down onto the seat.

Several more minutes passed before the Undead finally felt the weightlessness begin to subside, and then with a slight jolt, landed on the ground.

“Mr. Undead, we have arrived at the designated location. Please proceed on your own from here on out.”

An operator emerged from the cockpit carrying a package, ready to hand it to the Undead.

"These are some items that Amiya prepared for you that you might need."

"OK, thanks."

He also pointed out the direction of the last known location to the Undead, which Scout communicated over the channel.

The Undead did not refuse Amiya's offer. Even if he didn't need it, he could hand it over to Scout after they reunited.

As the transport plane took off in the dim sunlight, the lights around the engines disappearing into the night sky, the Undead withdrew his gaze.

Before the sun completely sinks into the ocean, the Undead must hurry on their way.

He never had the habit of staying in one place.

And so, the man encased in steel walked alone on the earth and under the setting sun, just as he had always done.

He was wearing a cloak repaired by Melantha, gauntlets that Kroos always slept in his arms, and emergency supplies that Amiya had thoughtfully prepared for him.

He was going to help a friend he had just met.

This feeling was not unfamiliar to him, but it was truly something he hadn't experienced in a long time.

As the steel leg armor was embedded into the soil, the sunlight gradually dissipated between heaven and earth.

The immortal didn't know how long he would have to walk, but he decided to keep going.

So he continued onward in the darkness.

After walking for an unknown amount of time, a blizzard swept in, but the silent man still stood tall and strode forward.

In the darkness swept by the wind and snow, a glimmer of light appeared.

After a moment's hesitation, the Undead decided to go and check out the situation.

So he followed this gentle ray of light and walked forward.

The gauntlet pulled aside the withered branches blocking his way, and the undead saw a camp.

Around the camp, a group of people wearing fur coats sat around a fire, sharing their food.

Between them, a white figure raised its rabbit ears and turned to look into the darkness.

"Who?"

The chilling voice instantly put everyone on alert. They simultaneously put down their food, picked up their weapons, and stood up.

After a moment of silence, the steel-like figure stepped out of the shadows and into the firelight.

"A passerby."

"The immortal said softly."

"I'm going to Chernobog."

The tense atmosphere did not ease as the people dressed in strange but orderly attire slowly changed formations, guarding against attacks from the undead.

But among them, a girl with a face as white as ice and snow looked at the undead's attire for a while; the steel armor was truly eye-catching.

After a moment of silence, she spoke softly.

"Chernoborg, over there."

"Thank you."

The Undead confirmed the direction, thanked the girl, then turned around, ignoring the armed men, and walked into the cold snowstorm.

But before he could take two steps, he heard shouts from behind.

"Friend! It's late at night, and the wind and snow will only get worse. Why don't you sit by the campfire?"

The Undead glanced back at the bright campfire.

He took another look at the girl, as pure as ice and snow, sitting by the campfire and extending an invitation to him.

After a moment's hesitation, he turned around.

"Thank you."

"You're welcome."

The girl nodded and waved to her companions to put down their weapons.

People sat down again and slowly picked up the hot soup in their hands.

The undead came to the campfire, put down the greatsword and bundle on his back, and then stuck the longsword at his waist into the fire before sitting down.

"I am the immortal."

The immortal took the initiative to greet the girl and extended his right hand.

After all, it was the other party's good intention, so I should reciprocate.

"What's your name?"

The girl did not reach out to shake hands with the immortal; she merely glanced at the immortal's right hand and then spoke calmly.

"Frost Star".

164. Night Talk in the Snow

"Here, this is soup, and this is bread."

In this small camp, people dressed in felt and leather passed each other hot food, leaning against the cliff to avoid the blizzards that came with nature.

The Undead was sitting in front of the campfire, talking to the girl who had invited him to sit down.

"It is no easy task to move forward in the wind and snow, traveler."

The girl named Frostnova was still holding a bowl of soup that had completely cooled down. She took a sip of the now-cold soup, then frowned and smacked her lips, as if the cold soup had burned her.

"At this crucial time, the people of Casimir and Victoria will be busy preparing for their festivals. The people of Yan will also be preparing for their New Year. Therefore, anyone going to Ursus at this time undoubtedly has their own purpose."

Froststar seemed oblivious to the cold; her clothes were incredibly thin, yet the fierce wind didn't make her shiver. On the contrary, the stronger the wind, the more comfortably she squinted her eyes.

"So, what is your purpose?"

The Undead put down his greatsword, took the firewood from a person beside him, claimed the entire pile for himself, and then broke the firewood into pieces, throwing them into the fire in front of him.

After hearing Froststar's voice, the Undead said...

“I have friends who are stuck in Chernobog.”

The firewood in his hand was a bit hard, so the Undead cleaved his fingers into a knife shape and chopped at the top of the firewood, immediately creating a crack at the top.

Then the Undead reached out and grasped both sides, broke the piece of firewood apart, and threw one half into the fire.

“I went to rescue him. But before that, I had a friend who was surrounded outside Chernobog.”

The Undead threw another piece of firewood into the fire in front of him, and then took a large piece of firewood from the pile next to him, ready to break it open and throw it in at any time.

"So, I'm going to help them."

Just as the immortal finished speaking those two sentences, the sounds of people talking, chatting, and drinking soup around him gradually subsided.

Then, the Undead realized what was happening. He looked around and found that everyone was staring at him with strange expressions.

"The immortal asked curiously."

"What's wrong? What's the problem?"

"Um...it's nothing."

Froststar waved her hand, and the people around her immediately returned to their normal activities, eating and drinking as usual.

Froststar gave the armored monster in front of her a strange look. She never expected that the reinforcements that Mephisto mentioned that might appear for the surrounded rats were actually this guy.

What's this? We haven't even reached Chernobog yet, and we've already run into each other?

Froststar lowered her head to drink her soup, her mind quickly racing, trying to figure out how to get something out of this person.

For example, what are they here for? Who are they trying to save? Will it affect our plans?

Regardless of whether Talulah has changed, at least for now, all the plans are for the same goal: they are comrades standing on the same front.

Froststar thought for a while and put the empty soup bowl aside.

A burly man sitting to the side and behind Froststar took Froststar's soup bowl, then ladled a large spoonful of broth from the pot into Froststar's bowl, placed it on the ground, and waited for it to cool.

"Are you aware of the current situation in Ursus?"

Froststar looked up at the traveler who had appeared in the snowstorm and said.
