Ark Undead

But she gradually realized that it wasn't her problem, but rather a curse from the person who took her away from Lungmen.

It was a silent erosion, even though Talulah always clearly knew which path she was on. But her thoughts and feelings couldn't possibly be directed in that direction.

In this protracted battle that lasted for over a decade, Talulah always managed to pull herself back from the brink. But she knew she only had one chance, while the devil's temptations would come countless times.

Several years ago, when Talulah, driven by her ideals, killed the old man who controlled everything around her and set off alone onto the snowy plains, she breathed a sigh of relief, believing it would be the beginning of a new life.

She wanted to change the world according to her own will; she wanted to make the injustices she saw disappear.

Initially, just as Talulah had planned, she successfully changed the minds of some of the Ursus infected, establishing their own force and beginning to fight for their fellow citizens within Ursus.

They also encountered Patriot and Frostnova on the snowfield, along with their guerrilla squad and Yeti team.

Sharing the same ideals, they hit it off immediately, united, and rose to prominence.

As the Reunion Movement gained wider recognition, things seemed to be getting better and better.

But no one expected that Talulah would be destroyed not by enemies, but by their own people.

That night, Talulah lost everything she had.

Her kindness and innocence were covered by the blood on her hands. Her ideals and will were overshadowed by the malice of humanity.

Watching his best friend fall into a pool of blood, pleading with him, he finally fell into a deep sleep with a helpless smile.

At that moment, her emotional defenses completely crumbled.

The profound mystery hidden deep within her heart completely took over the entire high ground.

Thereupon, her consciousness lay dormant in her mind.

But the voice that kept ringing in her ears never disappeared.

That was a persuader from the abyss, and a demon that tempted people to fall.

"You have witnessed the ugliness of human nature and know the meaning of awakening."

"A cannibal who has spent his life marching forward, treading a path where he knows neither right nor wrong, but the darkest place is ultimately his final resting place."

"The witch born from ice and snow uses blood and life as a sacrifice. Her seemingly peaceful slumber is merely the prelude to more hardships."

"Avengers obsessed with hatred will eventually fall into the abyss."

"Therefore, you need not fear the darkness, for the time to feast on food has come."

The voice seemed to be ringing directly in her head. No matter how much Talulah resisted, even covering her ears, she couldn't reduce the sound by even a fraction.

She had forgotten time, forgotten the meaning of her own existence, and was futilely resisting in endless depravity.

The Undead and Amiya had arrived at the final door of the tower.

Amiya stood at the front, raised her hand, and placed it on the door, hesitating slightly.

"Why don't you push it away?"

The Undead noticed Amiya's hesitation and asked her aloud.

Amiya turned to look at the undead and asked a question.

"Mr. Undying, how are you feeling right now?"

"I?"

The Undead was somewhat surprised that Amiya would ask him this question at this time.

Amiya nodded and said.

"Behind this door is the leader of the Reunion Movement, the one who started this war. But I can't ignore the contributions she made as the leader of the Reunion Movement. Before the Chernobog incident, many infected people believed that the Reunion Movement was their savior."

"Mr. Undead, what is your opinion of Talulah?"

Even though Amiya has come this far, she still can't quite understand why two organizations that both fight for the infected would become adversaries.

Leaving aside the regicide, there's the character of Shattered Bones, who harbors irreconcilable hatred towards ordinary people.

Take Frostnova and Patriot, for example. Both are warriors who can see the true nature of events. Even they were forced to become enemies of Rhodes Island due to the influence of the times.

Is it really because the Reunion Movement wants to instigate a war between the two countries and find a new way of life in the war?

Amiya couldn't understand why things had come to this.

The Undead's thoughts were quite simple; they weren't as complicated as Amiya's.

"Amiya, in your opinion, who is right and who is wrong in this matter?"

The Undead spoke simply, he said.

"Rhodes Island, or Reunion?"

"Of course, the Reunion Movement should not prioritize starting a war between the two countries. Their occupation of Chernobog and the atrocities they committed were wrong in themselves."

Amiya said without hesitation.

The Undead nodded, and then immediately asked.

"Then why are you hesitating?"

"Things aren't that complicated. There's no need to think about the many things behind them."

The undead man approached Amiya and looked down at the ring in her hand.

As the doctor said, the ring on Amiya's thumb was full of cracks.

"The Reunion Movement was wrong, so Rhodes Island is here to correct it. That's what you're doing."

The Undead cut Amiya's complex thoughts in two, giving her the simplest explanation.

"You are stopping the violence and saving the infected. That's enough."

Amiya was stunned.

Indeed, as the Undead said, things are easier to understand when you keep them simple.

Rhodes Island was merely playing a role in restoring order, while Reunion played the role of the rebel in this incident.

Since there's no way to gently make the Reunion Movement realize its mistakes, the only option is to make it pay the price.

"Patriots and Frostnova have both realized that if Reunion wants to survive, it must cut off the root cause of the problem."

The Undead looked at Amiya and said seriously.

"They have placed all their hopes in your hands."

Amiya looked at the Undead, her gaze gradually hardening, her furrowed brows relaxing, and her upper eyelids drooping slightly as she spoke.

"Thank you."

With no more doubts, Amiya made up her mind and pushed open the door in front of her.

Before me lay a dark sky and a wide, high platform.

On the other side of the platform, there was a temporary throne.

On the throne, a silver-haired dragon maiden sat high above, looking down at the open door.

Like a demon king waiting for the arrival of a hero, he leisurely tidies his nails.

Amiya calmly walked into the top floor, followed by two elite squads from Rhodes Island.

Ace stood beside Amiya, ready to defend against any attack that might come from anywhere.

On the other side was Rosemary, who had already prepared to activate the spell.

The Undead stood at the very back of the group.

He pulled up his hood, concealing his presence and becoming the most inconspicuous person in the crowd.

"I thought the Patriots could be more capable, but I didn't expect that even you guys couldn't stop them."

Talulah looked at her clean, white hands. She wasn't nervous at all and spoke calmly and leisurely.

"He's gotten old, so old that he can't even tell what he should really be doing anymore."

“Talulah…”

Amiya took two steps forward; she had no intention of arguing with the woman in front of her.

"You've reached the end of your road, and the Reunion Movement is nearing its end. This is all your doing, but your scheme will never succeed!"

As she spoke, Amiya raised her right hand, and the black energy that had been gathering in her palm shot out instantly.

Talulah, who was over there, saw Amiya's actions, and a mocking smile appeared on her lips.

The purplish-black energy blast struck the air in front of Talulah, as if it had encountered a shield, creating fiery red ripples that quickly dissipated.

"No way, you really think you've won?"

Talulah stood up from the platform, her hands hanging at her sides.

Amiya's energy blasts did not result in any combat, which was within Amiya's expectations.

According to intelligence, Talulah herself is an extremely powerful warrior, powerful enough to rival the Patriots.

Therefore, the attack just now was merely a probe.

"All personnel, prepare for battle. Rosemary, prepare your weakening spells and be ready to support Ace Squad at any time."

Amiya immediately gave the battle orders, and Ace, without even thinking, immediately commanded his squad to launch an assault.

Three assault troops approached Talulah from three directions simultaneously, with Ace himself in the middle, acting as the first assault trooper and attempting to get close to the enemy.

Amiya kept a close eye on Talulah, ready to react with a counterattack the moment Talulah made any unusual move.

Even at this point, Talulah showed no sign of panic.

"It's a pity. I was hoping to have a chat with you guys. After all, you're the team that defeated the Patriots. I wanted to see what kind of determination you had to come up to me."

At that very moment, a loud bang suddenly echoed in the air beside Talulah.

The flames materialized in an instant, appearing out of thin air in the void.

The exploding flames engulfed the three assault troops who were about to reach her, and a huge shockwave then exploded outwards.

They couldn't even get close to Talulah; the three assault soldiers of Ace Squad were sent flying backwards.

Only Ace reacted the fastest. He held his shield in front of him to block the impact, then stepped forward, raised the shield high, and was about to smash it down on Talulah.

"Not bad."
