Ark Undead

However, at this time, Yan Di could not reveal his boss's true feelings, so he could only keep it to himself.

He had seen Lord Liang hold and play with the framed signature of the divine general more than once.

"It's okay, maybe there will be a chance in the future."

He didn't feel anything about the immortals, but Liang Xun left a pretty good impression on him. If he comes to Da Yan again in the future, he'll see.

Liang Xun clasped his hands in response and carefully instructed the boatman to treat the undead well when taking them out of the country, and not to neglect them.

They planned to leave Dayan by water, just like they came. This way, they wouldn't have to disembark from their vehicles at the Shangshu border. They could simply take a detour, but it would be much more convenient.

Liang Xun meticulously checked everything from the side, and Chen, who had come with Liang Xun, stepped forward at that moment.

Since the Undead and Onstan were brought by Chen, she naturally had a reason to come and see them off.

"Mr. Undying, thank you very much for taking care of me all this way."

She bowed to the Undead. She hadn't been in the Great Yan for very long, so she was still used to the Dragon Gate's way of getting along.

"Thank you too."

The Undying accepted Chen's gratitude, knowing that this girl carried a heavy burden on her shoulders.

I hope that when we meet again, she will still be upright and worthy of the Crimson Sky Sword at her waist.

This longsword was clearly forged with real fire, and it must have been a treasured sword left over from the time of the founding emperor, which is why it matches her status.

"Do you need my help to deliver a message?"

Wei Yanwu probably still misses Chen quite a bit. The Undying Man will definitely pass through Longmen on his way back this time, and he plans to visit Wei Yanwu again then.

"No need, I am about to head to the North to join the battle."

Chen refused.

"I will not contact my superiors until I can truly and completely control Chixiao and draw my sword at will."

"Alright."

The Undead nodded. Chen had this idea and this ambition; that was quite good.

After exchanging pleasantries with Chen for a while, three more figures slowly walked over from a distance.

One of them was clearly dragged here by the other two; she was practically squatting on the ground, pulled along by the two men all the way here.

Hey! Undead!

He greeted the immortals from a distance.

The three approached the Undead, and Xi quickly hid behind Nian, not even glancing at the Undead.

It's the same old story; I'm terrified.

Ling looked at the immortal and smiled.

"I know you'll never belong to the Great Yan. Where are you going next?"

"do not know."

The Undead shook his head and said honestly.

"Let's go back to Rhodes Island first, then we'll talk."

Since we're going to travel with Greyhound and the others, we'll definitely need to go back to Rhodes Island first, see what arrangements they have, and then decide where to go next.

"I went to see the Emperor yesterday. He has already investigated the follow-up to the Si Sui Tai incident. It is true that some people have been in contact with the Regent of Kazdel. Their goal is to cause chaos in Shang Shu and, incidentally, deepen the influence of the Ten Thousand Demon Cave."

"The regent of Kazdel is definitely problematic, and may even be connected to our missing brothers and sisters. However, since he has the ability to catalyze demons, he is an enemy of the Great Yan."

Let him say.

“I’ve heard that Rhodes Island and Kazdel also have conflicts. If Rhodes Island needs help in this regard, Great Yan will not stand idly by. Anyone who is an enemy of demons is our friend.”

"Ah."

The immortal nodded slightly.

It's already quite commendable that the Great Yan has this intention, but the army has just undergone a fire-worshiping ceremony and still needs some time to prepare.

Whether or not we help, we'll see.

"If you have time, you can go and take a look at Minos."

Ling suddenly said.

"That country was once known as the arena of the gods. I heard about it a long time ago. It seems there is a place there that is not bound by rules. People can fight and kill to their heart's content. But after death, they will only return to the mortal world."

“But now, that location has been forgotten, and only other fighting events remain as traditions, but I think it should have some connection to you.”

"Minos?"

The immortals remembered this name.

"If I have the chance, I'll go and take a look."

Then, the immortal asked.

And you?

"us?"

He crossed his arms over his chest.

"Go back, fill up your bottles of wine, and go to sleep. Guys like us don't want to go out anymore. At most, we'll find a chance to go up north and take a look. Nian probably wants to go to Rhodes Island later too. If you're still on Rhodes Island then, keep an eye on her, lest she cause any trouble."

Nian wanted to retort, but after glancing at the undead, he didn't say anything and just shrank his neck.

"evening."

Ling stepped to the side, revealing Xi behind him.

Say hello.

The Undead's gaze fell on Xi, and Xi's hair stood on end.

But Ling used some unknown means to render her unable to move.

After waiting for a long time, the Undead still didn't make a move against her. Xi finally mustered up her courage and stammered.

"God... God General... Goodbye!"

Nian rolled her eyes.

What you really meant was "goodbye forever," right?

Regardless, Xi still spoke, and Ling stopped forcing her and stood in front of her again.

"See you again someday. If you have any questions, feel free to come back and ask me anytime."

"it is good."

The immortal nodded and bid farewell to the three.

Then, he turned around and boarded the boat.

Ornstein and Greyhound were already waiting on the ship. The young operators were excited at the prospect of returning to Rhodes Island.

After being away from home for a long time, I still miss my familiar home.

Upon seeing the Undead return to the boat, Onstan immediately waved to the boatman, indicating that the boat could set sail.

The river flows gently, carrying a boat full of passengers.

The undead planted the spiral sword into the pile of firewood in front of him and started a campfire.

Just as Ling said, the Undead will never belong to the Great Yan, nor will he belong anywhere else.

He will keep moving forward, following the traces left by his past self, to explore that mysterious era.

But before that.

"We've arrived, Shang Shu. Get off the boat and help me buy some souvenirs."

The Undead suddenly thought of something and said to the Greyhound.

Greyhound was stunned. What was this all about? Would he really be reluctant to let go of the undead?

"These are for my disciple. They're all girls, so take your pick."

Upon hearing what the Undead said, Greyhound's expression immediately turned serious.

"Understood, brother! I'll make sure they're satisfied!"

"?" The Undead was puzzled.

What do you know?

Volume Five: A Nation Where the Torch is Passed Down Through Generations, The End.

End-of-volume summary and preview of Volume VI

Overall, I actually found writing Volume 5 to be quite easy.

Compared to the various agonizing decisions made for Volume 4, I finalized the content of Volume 5 much earlier. In fact, I ordered the content of Volume 5 even before Volume 3.

I personally really like the Great Yan Kingdom, so I made a lot of major modifications to it.

Fortunately, Miss Ying hasn't introduced too many settings related to the Great Yan so far, giving me enough room to develop my own style.

I handled the pacing and plot fairly well; I'm not particularly satisfied, but at least it's acceptable.

I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to the readers who have followed the book all along for their opinions and suggestions.

In fact, the fifth volume has already subtly provided answers to some plot points, including the final gathering of the Southern Expeditionary Army, which will be emphasized later.

Because there weren't any major problems with Volume 5, I didn't have much to write in this volume's summary.

I'll probably drop one or two silver treasure chests later, brothers, remember to grab them.

Alright, next up is a preview of the next volume.

I really wanted to write this volume after I read the information about Minos.

This is also a chapter that many people will find interesting (cough).

Here we come!
