Ark Undead

When she arrived, the first person to look at Kal'tsit was Laurentina.
Facing Laurentina's gaze, Kal'tsit noticed that Laurentina's expression was more lively than before.
"Specter, are you... awake?"
Kal'tsit tried asking and received a positive response from Laurentina.
Laurentina nodded. The doctor in front of her was trying to stabilize her condition while she was still unconscious. For Laurentina, this kind of help required her to show respect.
"Yes, Dr. Kal'tsit."
Kal'tsit frowned slightly. In her mind, Laurentina's mental state should have become more unstable the closer they got to the sea.
After all, what's inside her body is, to put it bluntly, a combination of Originium and some kind of special bloodline causing trouble.
And this bloodline originates from the sea.
Could it be because of the ring on her hand?
Kal'tsit glanced at the ring on Laurentina's finger.
"Dr. Kal'tsit."
Graceia promptly interrupted Kal'tsit and Laurentina's small talk.
"You also experienced dreams, didn't you?"
Goredia's style of doing things was indeed swift and decisive.
Kal'tsit nodded decisively.
“You know more about dreams than we do. Some operators have also told us that you were the ones who sent them out. I must express my gratitude to the three of you for that.”
"Leaving that aside for now, you shouldn't have any connection with our dreams, but things took an unexpected turn this time, so sending you away is our duty."
Goredia seemed to take it as her responsibility to have them enter the dream.
"However, the dream has indeed changed compared to the past, and we are probably in trouble."
trouble?
Just as Kal'tsit was about to ask Gladys what the trouble was, she saw Gladys suddenly roll off the bed and grab the long spear next to her.
"Notify everyone to prepare for battle; they are coming."
Gladys only said this one sentence before walking past Kal'tsit.
Even Skadi and Laurentina simply nodded to Kal'tsit, then immediately picked up the weapons placed on the bedside table and followed.
Was the first thing they did after waking up to leave the camp?
But Kal'tsit no longer cared what they were up to; the "them" that Goredia mentioned were certainly not reinforcements.
"When?"
Kal'tsit caught up with Gladys in two steps and they walked quickly outside together.
“I don’t know, but it will happen soon. Every time we wake up from the dream, they will find us based on how long we were active in the dream. This time, everyone in the camp has been pulled into the dream. You can imagine how many Sea Sprites will come to us then.”
Goredia stopped at the top of the stairs and turned to look at Kal'tsit.
"When facing Hai Si, we can no longer spare the energy to protect you, so how many of you will survive depends on fate."
"In addition, if anyone is in an unstable condition, my advice is that it is best to cut off their head as soon as possible... Believe me, this is merciful to them."
"The last thing."
"Greteia asked."
"Is Mr. Undead still in the camp?"
...
Just as Gladys had asked, the undead had never left his room.
For Kal'tsit, the movements of the Undead were not important; as long as he stayed in the camp, he would provide a layer of protection for everyone.
But when Gladys asked that question, Kal'tsit's first thought was that Gladys must have sensed something, which was why she was asking about the Undead's movements.
Sure enough, when Kal'tsit followed Gladys to the Undead's room, Gladys's first words were...
"Mr. Undying, you didn't enter the dream, did you?"
"Yes."
The Undead calmly replied that he had already answered this question many times today.
After that, Goredia stopped answering him and instead turned her gaze to the campfire in front of the undead.
The longsword in the campfire had its blade spiraling downwards and was inserted into an iron basin that had been obtained specifically from the Iberian army. A few pieces of wood were symbolically thrown into the basin; in reality, the campfire did not require any firewood.
However, in Goredia's eyes, the campfire should not have looked like this.
"Mr. Undead...did you light this campfire here?"
Goredia was unaware of the habits of the undead. Therefore, upon seeing the campfire, her first thought was to determine whether it was made by the undead.
"it's me."
The immortal looked at Goddess and asked.
"You've seen it before."
"Yes, I've seen it."
After a two-second silence, Goredia bowed directly to the undead.
"Thank you so much for your help."
"It's okay, but I hope you can tell me about it."
The Undead pointed to the area next to the campfire.
"Sit down and tell me slowly."
But instead of sitting down as the undead had instructed, Goredia shook her head.
"I'm very sorry, Mr. Undead, I don't have time to sit down and have a long talk with you right now. I'll come back and have a heart-to-heart talk with you after this day has passed and night has fallen."
The Undead didn't force her; he simply nodded and then looked away.
Goredia turned swiftly and left the Undead's room.
The conversation between the two left Kal'tsit completely bewildered, and she could only look at the undead with a puzzled expression.
"She'd seen it before, a campfire. No, not one like this."
The undead stood up from the ground, went to the window, and watched as Gladys left the building, followed by Laurentina and Skadi.
Skadi seemed to sense the Undead's gaze. She turned her head, looked at the Undead by the window, and then reached out to greet him.
The immortal nodded slightly to her, then watched the three leave the camp.
"Deep-sea hunter, can you see my campfire in your dreams?"
Yes, that's why Goredia wanted to thank the Undead. Perhaps it was this campfire that woke Goredia from her dream ahead of time.
Goredia looked at the campfire with a clear expression of confusion.
Because the campfire she had seen shouldn't look like this. But when she saw the sword, she gradually became certain of her inner thoughts.
"Remember, the point is not me."
The Undead pointed to the campfire.
"It's fire."
What brought Kal'tsit and Scout back to reality was not the undead themselves, but a certain quality that the undead represented.
This trait manifested as flames in the eyes of the deep-sea hunters, and perhaps it was the power of flames that allowed them to leave the dream ahead of time.
"Then I'll go prepare."
Kelsey said.
"Gredia told us that Haisi is about to attack us, and we may need your help then."
"Well, let's go."
At this point, the Undead became the most important force in the entire camp, and he certainly wouldn't be stingy with his resources. However, he always made sure everyone understood what they were about to face.
After Kal'tsit closed the door, the fire spirit sitting next to the undead reached out and grabbed the undead's wrist.
She leaned closer and pressed against the Undead's shoulder.
"What you're seeing is the future?"
"Yes."
The Fire Maiden nodded slightly, the mask covering her eyes giving her a strange, sacred look.
Even the overwhelming floods of the world cannot extinguish the flames that ignite in people's hearts. Those hunters will be reborn in the fire that reshapes the world; no one can escape this fate.
Listening to the Fire Mage's description, the Undead's mind began to race.
The Fire Maiden can only see a glimpse of the future. But that doesn't mean things will turn out exactly as the prophecy foretold.
This is why the Fire Mage is called a prophet by the Doctor.
"Oh right, I also saw an old friend in the video."
The Fire Maiden seemed to have thought of something; she exclaimed in surprise, then chuckled twice.
"Lord Ash, you must miss it very much."
"?" The Undead looked at the Fire Maiden with a puzzled expression, wanting to know who the old friend she was talking about was.
However, the Fire Maiden did not provide an explanation.
"You'll know who he is when you meet him. It will definitely be an unforgettable meeting."
...
Just a few dozen kilometers from the temporary camp on the Iberian coast, W suddenly raised his head in the abandoned village.
Her mind began to react, and she heard intermittent low murmurs in her ears. As time passed, this reaction intensified suddenly.
W had no time to think; he could only struggle to his feet, walk to the door, grab the damp doorframe, and look outside.
