Ark Undead

The team, originally composed of three deep-sea hunters, was temporarily joined by Greyhound, W, and Kal'tsit.

Their simple team of six was tasked with bypassing the outermost edge of the Seafowl, rescuing Skadi with minimal losses, and bringing her back alive.

Although it's unclear what gives the Doctor the confidence to restore Skadi, who has been drawn to Heath, to her original state, Ulpian has already put aside his original plan to kill Skadi since he agreed to the Doctor's request.

Meanwhile, Goredia did not mention killing Skadi again.

They didn't utter a single word.

This is the biggest problem for this team.

Endless silence.

Laurentina remained silent, Ulpian remained silent, and Gretia remained silent as well.

Greyhound and W followed behind the three of them, unsure of what they could do, and could only grit their teeth and follow behind these three silent men.

An immense sense of oppression enveloped Greyhound and W. They could sense that there must be some conflict among the three deep-sea hunters, but they didn't dare to ask.

At this moment, it was Kal'tsit behind him who suddenly gave him an indescribable sense of closeness.

Although she didn't speak, the atmosphere wasn't as somber as the previous three.

The six of them briefly broke through the waves of Hai Si and stopped at the edge of the core area.

"Have you been with us ever since we entered Iberia? Or even further back, from the moment we set foot on land?"

While everyone was resting, Greta suddenly spoke up.

“I can no longer feel the connection to you, Ulpian. You have completely broken free of the bloodline.”

At this moment, Greta's sudden act of "liquidation" caught everyone off guard.

Neither Greyhound nor W, including Laurentina, dared to speak, because Grandia's tone was chillingly cold.

"..."

Ulpian seemed surprised that Goredia would ask this question at this time, and he glanced at Goredia with some surprise.

In his mind, Goredia shouldn't be concerned with such irrelevant matters when she was doing serious work.

unless...

"No, I only know your traces, but I have never followed you on my own initiative."

Ulpian explained.

“I knew you woke up, I knew you went ashore and left. But I stayed on the border of Iberia and never actively searched for you.”

"Why? Is it because you're afraid to face reality? Afraid to face the fact that you're no longer a deep-sea hunter?"

"Greteia said with a hint of sarcasm."

"Are you a deep-sea hunter or a sea creature now? Can you say for sure?"

As soon as Gretia said those words, everyone instinctively looked at Ulpian.

There's no other reason than that Goredia's words revealed a crucial piece of information.

Ulpian has very likely already become a descendant of Haisi.

Ulpian, however, stared at Gretia before him and asked in return.

"What do you think, Greta? Do you think you're more like Haisi right now, or am I?"

As he spoke, Ulbian even untied his bound wrists, rolled up his sleeves, and revealed his arms underneath.

This is a normal male arm, only slightly pale in color, not very hairy, and extremely muscular.

One glance was enough to tell that it was a human, and not some other strange creature.

Ulbian said this in a seemingly provocative manner.

"Do you dare? Do you dare expose your skin to everyone like this, Gretia?"

He seemed to have figured that out.

After saying that, he stopped provoking Gretia.

But Goredia did not react.

She neither rolled up her sleeves like Ulpian did, nor did she respond verbally.

As if he were brain dead, his gaze toward Ulbian became increasingly unfocused.

It wasn't until Ulpian deliberately took a step forward, his shoes slamming heavily on the ground, that Goredia's gaze sharpened again.

"What's wrong, Greta? Do you want to question me again?"

Ulpian gripped the anchor beside him and spoke loudly.

"At this time? While we're on our way to rescue Skadi?"

Goredia did not respond to Ulpian's questioning.

She slowly moved her hand to her wrist, as if to pull up her sleeve.

Greyhound, W, and Laurentina didn't dare to even breathe.

Laurentina knew something was wrong with Grandia. But she never expected it would be Grandia's turn to prove her identity was legitimate.

Just as Gladys clutched her sleeve, Kal'tsit, who was standing behind everyone, suddenly spoke.

"Are you really going to waste your time here verifying your identities?"

Kal'tsit's voice was cold and mechanical, like a machine without emotion.

"Is the identity of a Deepsea Hunter really that important? More important than the lives of your companions?"

"Greteia, wake up, now is not the time for reckoning."

Grandia looked up instantly, glancing at Kal'tsit standing behind everyone.

Kal'tsit met Gladys's gaze directly and spoke again.

“If you’re planning to fight amongst yourselves here, I won’t wait for anyone to win. This is just a farce.”

Faced with Kal'tsit's almost accusatory words, Goredia slowly lowered her hand from her sleeve.

Ulbian did not speak again to provoke conflict.

The whole conversation sounded somewhat nonsensical. But both Ulpian and Kal'tsit knew what it meant.

“The Ghost... Laurentina.”

Kal'tsit still habitually called Laurentina "Specter Shark," and Laurentina quickly realized it.

“Take off your ring and give it to Greta.”

Laurentina obediently took off the ring from her finger, carefully approached Grandia, and lifted her arm.

Greta didn't move, quietly waiting for Laurentina to put the ring on her finger.

Laurentina grasped Greta's hand with some concern.

After a dozen seconds, Goredia finally showed some reaction.

She blinked and instantly realized what had happened.

"I had another dream."

"The power of the Lord of Dreams is enough to extend through bloodlines, Gladys. You may not believe it, but out of the six people here, you are the most susceptible to its influence."

Kal'tsit said it bluntly.

“I don’t know about Mr. Ulpian, but Laurentina’s influence on the Dream Lord has been diminished by the conflict between Originium and Flame. As for me, Greyhound, and W, we have no connection with the Deepsea Hunters at all. On the contrary, you, who have not been corrupted by any other form, are the most dangerous.”

Are you more awake now?

Goredia rubbed her forehead and nodded gently.

"Thank you."

"Ah."

Kal'tsit nodded slightly in acceptance of Gladys's gratitude, then took two steps back.

Greyhound and W looked at Kal'tsit with some surprise.

Kal'tsit responded with a serious look, as if questioning what they wanted to do.

"Uh...it's nothing, I just feel much more comfortable."

Greyhound and W both breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing the familiar Kal'tsit. For some reason, they felt that Kal'tsit in this serious state was more fitting.

"Since there's nothing else, let's continue on our way. But don't forget our destination."

Kal'tsit sighed, decisively ending the brief standoff, and took the initiative to continue advancing.

Greyhound and W followed without hesitation, and after a brief moment of thought, Gladys caught up with Kal'tsit.

Only Ulpian.

Ulpian stared at Kal'tsit's retreating figure.

For some reason, he felt that this woman's personality had changed drastically in an instant.

This is when Ulpian truly realized that this woman was the same woman who had confronted him outside the main camp that night.

Beneath the world's barrier, the apostles from the abyss and the guardians of the flames still stand in confrontation.

As the last sorcerer, Komikus possessed power that was absolutely unpredictable to everyone.

Its power originates from the primordial flame that burns silently beneath the world's barrier, and to break through its defenses, one must suppress the flames head-on.

The two pardoners could only keep widening the opening of the Abyss Nest, summoning more and more Abyss creations from it.

Theresis seemed to tacitly approve of this behavior, and he didn't care about the loss of the creatures in the Abyss Nest.

Or rather, in his calculations, such a loss was insignificant. As long as it could help the Sealings complete their evolution, what did it matter if one or two Abyss Nests were lost?

And so, from the opening of that abyss nest, an unimaginable low murmur soon emerged.

Theresis's phantom stood behind the two pardoners, watching as the creature tainted by the abyss slowly poked its head out of the abyss's lair.

Its body is made up of countless scales, every inch of which is covered with pollution from the silt of the abyss.

As its figure emerged from the surface of the mud, its wings unfurled in the air above Agor, stirring up a gust of wind that suppressed the flames emanating from the sorcerer on the other side.
