Yiwanfang is a doll!

Sigh, they even want non-humans, and Shishio still says he's not doing charity work?

Author's Note: It's the third update. I'll continue in a bit.

Section 891, Chapter 882: The Intimate Girl

Even modern robots aren't powerful enough to completely escape human control, so naturally, there's a real body inside this Yiwanfang doll.

The doll was dismembered and scattered, and a figure in black suddenly darted out and fled into the alley under the cover of night.

"What the hell?" Hanon didn't give chase, and didn't even have time to look closely, because the "little brother" Kamatari next to her had already attacked with his big scythe.

"Buzz—" The scythe was heavy, and when it was swung, it made a whistling sound. It came with a fierce momentum, and Hanon could not directly confront its edge. In any case, the two of them were quite different, and the impression that Kanetsu had given Hanon earlier was not bad. What harm was there in letting him make a move or two?

Sure enough, after dodging the scythe, Hanon immediately moved close to the scythe's foot, raising her arm slightly, ready to unleash her attack.

"Whoosh—" Just then, a whooshing sound came from above Hanon's head again, this time with ten times the power of Kamatari's attack! Hanon looked up and couldn't help but swear in English: "WTF..."

It turned out that it was the giant Fuji who swung his sword down.

Ordinary people use swords that are between 1.5 and 2.5 meters long, but Fuji is 4 meters tall. The greatsword he uses... well, he doesn't have a 40-meter-long sword, but it's definitely at least 4 meters long.

The power of this strike was enough to destroy a house directly. Before the blade even landed, it had already stirred up a gale, and the immense wind made it difficult for Hana to move.

Just as Kanon braced her calf muscles, preparing to push off the ground to avoid it, the scythe-like foot pulled the chain again, pulling the large scythe back and blocking Kanon's retreat.

"Boom!" Fuji's greatsword struck, no, it should be said, smashed into Kanon. The terrifying force destroyed the street, leaving a horrifying sword mark. At the same time, a gust of wind blew, and with one strike, the entire street was much cleaner...

Being hit by such an attack would be unbearable for anyone.

"Phew, all done." Kamatari sheathed his scythe and wiped his sweat. "So it turns out that Ikuma was just a puppet. Was his real body the person controlling it? He escaped. I wonder if he'll ever come back."

Reflecting on the battle, Kamatari was still shaken by the thought of Kanon closing in on him in an instant: "That girl was really fast, and her timing was perfect. If Fuji hadn't attacked in time, I would have been knocked down!" But Kamatari wasn't grateful to Fuji; instead, he was a little angry and gave him a hard slap on the shin: "You bastard, your greatsword has such a wide attack range. If I hadn't been lucky, we would have been killed together in that one hit!"

Fuji the Titan was fully armored, with a bridle on his helmet that he held in his mouth for stability, so he couldn't speak and could only let the scythe-like creature vent its anger on him.

"You're wrong." But someone still defended Fuji—it wasn't another "Broken Army" member on the roof who beat the old man, but Hanon.

She strolled out from a nearby alley, ignoring the surprised looks from the old men, Kamatari and Saichui, and looked up at Fuji, praising him, "I can sense that you have a strong control over the precision of this sword strike. You're not as rough as you seem; your martial arts are actually quite impressive~ 'Breaking Army' Fuji, right? Let's continue our duel~"

Fuji's body swayed slightly, clearly indicating that he had heard Kanon's words and was quite moved by them.

Kamatari was still in shock at Kanon's unharmed state: "You! How could you be unharmed?"

Hua Yin didn't hide anything: "This is the highest level of Chinese martial arts, called 'Energy Dissipation'. The body becomes empty, and no matter how heavy the blow, it will not be damaged at all~ Hehe, don't look at me with those eyes that look at a monster. I am the dignified Sea Emperor of Chinese Martial Arts Province. Isn't it only natural for me to master such a skill?"

Kamatari knew little about the affairs of the Chinese martial arts world and thought Hanon was talking nonsense. He brandished his scythe: "I don't care what kind of demons or monsters you are, anyone who obstructs Lord Shishio deserves to die!"

“Your fighting spirit is great, but your skills are lacking.” Hanon shook her head and looked at Fuji again: “And this giant brother’s skills are decent, but his fighting spirit has not yet reached its peak.”

"Shut up!" The flustered Kamatari had no interest in listening to Hanon's martial arts theories. With a flick of his chain, the large scythe flew towards Hanon—of course, it missed.

The "Unbounded Transformation" was activated again, and Hana appeared in front of Kamatari in an instant, snatching his scythe away with a swift motion. This large scythe was Kamatari's natal weapon, which he had been gripping very tightly. However, as soon as Hana's fair and weak little hand touched his wrist, Kamatari felt a needle-like pain piercing his pressure points, leaving him weak and powerless, and he could only let Hana take the scythe away.

"Ah! You bastard—" Before Kamatari could finish his angry shout, Hanon whispered in his ear, "Your life must have been very tough, I understand how that feels... Now just get some sleep."

Before Kamatari could even react to what "I understand this feeling" meant, Kanon reached out and wiped his chin, causing him to feel dizzy and weak, and he collapsed to the ground.

Alas, Kamatari is a man in body but a woman at heart, while Kanon is a woman in body but a man at heart. Across a century, they are truly kindred spirits. Therefore, Kanon has always had a good impression of him and has been relatively gentle in her actions.

It came without warning! Just as Hanon snatched the giant scythe and knocked out the scythe's foot, the giant Fuji's second strike came down. It was still the same tactic of attacking Wei to rescue Zhao. Even if it didn't kill Hanon, it would at least force her to dodge.

As for the possibility of Kanon taking this hit... In Fuji's entire life, no one has ever taken his attack head-on!

But this time, Kanon did it.

"Clang..." The sound of sharp blades clashing echoed far and wide. After snatching the greatscythe, Kanon used it to block Fuji's greatsword. Although the greatscythe was sharp, its rigidity was no match for the divine power of the giant's greatsword. It was only thanks to Kanon's unparalleled ability to deflect the force that she remained unharmed.

The greatsword obscured Fuji's vision, but he heard Kanon's voice faintly coming from beneath the blade: "Fuji-kun, you certainly have a knack for it. Gripping the hilt tightly at the moment of impact is a very professional technique. So you'd better take off this cumbersome armor."

Armor?

From the perspective of kinetic principles, wearing armor can certainly increase defensive capabilities, but it will also reduce the offensive power of the wearer. On the one hand, the heavy armor will reduce speed; on the other hand, it will also change the angle of force exertion by the human body, thus greatly reducing the power of an attack that was originally launched with all its might.

Hanon parried the greatsword with her scythe and smiled at Fuji, saying, "To be honest, you can't stop me whether you're wearing armor or not, but if you take off your armor, at least it will give me more fun in terms of attack, making this battle fairer for you."

Is it fairer to be the only one?

Fuji, a giant born with a deformity, suffered bullying from a young age because of his unusual size. As an adult, he was treated as a monster by the villagers, who planned to hunt him down. Fortunately, the eloquent old man, Saichui, persuaded the villagers to save him, and from then on, Fuji willingly served Saichui like a slave. He was naive in his youth and later thought of repaying a debt of gratitude, never living for himself. His only interest was fighting, but because of his size, he never had the chance for a fair fight… But tonight, the girl before him actually invited him to fight a fair battle with all his might?

Author's Note: Striving to finish the third update.

Section 892, Chapter 883: Not Two

Kanon extends an invitation to Fuji the Titans. Will Fuji respond?

Before he could make a move, his "master," the old man Caichui, spoke from the rooftop: "Hey, Fuji, don't get carried away! This girl is just bluffing. She's trying to trick you into taking off your armor so she can attack you more easily. Don't fall for it!"

Before he could finish speaking, a small stone flew down from the street below and hit Cai Chui on the head, making him dizzy.

That was naturally what Hana threw at him: "Hey, this is the romance of martial artists. If you're not a martial artist, don't ramble on."

Despite his limpness, Cai Chui managed to stay upright and even shouted at Hua Yin from behind the eaves, "You brat, you dare say you're not trying to take advantage of me? Then drop that scythe and stop attacking with sharp weapons!"

"Tch, if I wanted to bleed him, why would I need to use an external tool?" Although she knew it was a provocation, Hanon didn't care. She casually discarded the captured scythe and even added her own challenge, saying to Fuji, "Even if I'm empty-handed, I won't use any fighting techniques that damage your muscles. Blunt blows alone will be enough to defeat you."

She beckoned to Fuji with her finger: "I've already made concessions to this extent, what are you waiting for?"

Cai Chui was still not satisfied: "Hey, I don't believe you, you write it down."

"Hehehe." Hana could only roll her eyes at this old scoundrel...

"Crack, crack, crack." A few crisp sounds interrupted the bickering between Tsutsumi and Hanon. Fuji snapped his powerful jaws shut and bit off the bridle that was holding his helmet in place. At the same time, he struggled and twisted, shaking off the rest of his armor and revealing his true form—an ordinary muscular man magnified two or three times. If you don't consider his height, his body proportions are quite good, and his facial features are normal.

There was one thing, though: Fuji's eyes were filled with tears; he was crying.

"You...you treat me like a human being?" Having not spoken for so long, Fuji's speech became halting.

In the late Edo period, when feudal society had not yet fully transitioned, Fuji was regarded as a monster and a non-human. However, to Kanon, who lived in modern society and was exposed to diverse values, Fuji was simply a rather peculiar and unusual person. So she scratched her head: "Although your body shape is a bit strange, how could I not see you as a human being..."

"Thank you." Fuji's tears finally fell, and in the opposite direction of his tears, he raised his greatsword high with both hands: "Come on, come on!"

"Here we go~" As the night's battle drew to a close, Hanon excitedly struck her long-unseen "Cosmic Illusion" pose. With her current cultivation level, "Boundless Transformation" could completely replace the function of "Cosmic Illusion," but with the added power of the charging action, the psychological feeling it evoked was quite different.

Well, that's what you call "a sense of ritual".

Fuji is nearly four meters tall, while the little girl Yingfengxia, possessed by Kanon, is only a little over 1.5 meters tall. The difference in their sizes is so great that it seems almost laughable to onlookers. The old man, Caichui, crouched behind the eaves, his heart filled with both fear and anticipation: "Strength overcomes softness, size overcomes smallness, the giant Fuji is the strongest! This little girl is quite powerful, but Fuji should be able to handle her..."

Here they come! The moment Fuji and Kanon's eyes met, the two launched their attacks simultaneously.

Kanon's "Cosmic Illusion" struck Fuji's knee with incredible speed. Fuji's greatsword twirled and did not slash vertically as it had the previous two times. Instead, it feinted with a two-handed slashing motion, but in reality, it was a single-handed sweep!

Fuji was not the reckless man he appeared to be, but a meticulous and highly skilled martial artist. His sweeping attacks were faster and had a wider range, allowing him to reach the target position before Kanon could react and strike her!

It was a powerful sweep, but there was no blood and flesh flying as expected, nor was there any "power dissipation" and a graceful flight. After the first strike, Hanon's figure disappeared.

"Where is she?" Fuji was stunned, vaguely sensing that something was amiss. Meanwhile, the old man, Caitachi, cheered excitedly: "Fantastic! That sweep chopped that brat into dust! No trace of her remains!"

"Pah, who are you cursing?" Huayin's shout suddenly came, surprisingly close to Caichui, scaring him so much that his legs went weak and he collapsed onto the roof: "Ghost, ghost!"

It wasn't a ghost. Just as Tsuna sat down, he saw Fuji's greatsword sweep across his head and swing very high. Kanon was standing on the back of the sword and running forward along the blade until she reached the same height as the roof.

Fuji the Giant is very powerful, and this is the first time Kanon has faced someone of this size. However, Kanon's martial arts skills are already at a divine level, and there are few who can rival him in the world. Fuji is obviously not among them—the gap is simply too great.

Once at the right height, she pushed off with her legs against the sword, using the momentum to leap towards Fuji. At this moment, when Kanon threw another punch, she could already reach Fuji's head. Fuji's head was half the size of Kanon's body, so its resistance to blows was definitely quite good. Hard techniques like "Exploding Core" or even "Double Force" wouldn't be very effective... So, she would use soft techniques instead. Kanon knew how to "attack neutralize force."

The "attack and neutralization force" struck Fuji's chin, penetrating straight in. While its power might not have been the greatest, its impact range was vast, wide enough to pry open the giant's bones and cause the force to vibrate through the lever principle to the brain.

Like a mountain of gold and a pillar of jade collapsing, the giant Fuji fell backward, crushing several houses.

"Fu-ni ...

"I can't accept this!" Cai Chui wailed, his voice breaking with anguish. But reality is reality, and he had no choice but to accept it. After a couple of seconds of grief, Cai Chui realized, "Running away is the best option!"

Is leaving the best option?

There is no perfect strategy. While "retreating is the best policy" is a clever tactic, if your opponent can run faster than you, running away becomes a foolish act of exposing your back to the enemy.

Cai Chui's turn attracted Hua Yin's attention. He had only taken two steps when a figure flashed in front of him, blocking his way.

This "slippery devil" was quite endearing; he simply lowered his head, turned around, and ran off in another direction... Of course, it was to no avail, as Hana-on flashed and blocked his path again.

Cai Chui kept running and running, while Hua Yin kept blocking him. After this happened three or five times, Cai Chui's panicked head finally came to its senses.

He sat down on the ground and stopped running: "Oh no, I'm doomed."

Hanon was having a good time, and her dislike for Caichui lessened somewhat. She walked over and picked Caichui up: "Caikongchui, right? You seem like a smart person."

"Of course I'm a smart man. What are you going to do?" Cai Chui's head was sweating profusely. Hua Yin was exuding a terrifying killing intent, making every heartbeat of his heart difficult.

Hanon smiled and said, "A smart person can talk. I think you can answer my question: Where is Shishio Makoto right now?"

“Lord Shishio… Ah, no, it’s that villain Shishio! He…” Saitsuchi was indeed “clever”, instantly switching sides and giving an answer that surprised Kanon: “He went to Tokyo Bay.”

Author's Note: I finished writing this chapter quite laboriously. Regarding the escaped Yi Wan Fang, also known as Wai Yin in the original work, since Hanon couldn't stay for that long, we didn't have any further interaction. However, I will write some side stories later, which will explain the impact of Hanon's transmigration on this world. Yi Wan Fang will also have a role and interact with unexpected people.

Section 893, Chapter 884: Post-War Discussion, Heroine Rose

Shishio is a really interesting person.

To say he's interesting is that he's very particular about appearances. He not only wants to get things done, but he wants to do them well, making them spectacular and well-known. His attitude of not being careless is comparable to Magneto's; he's a man of great pomp and circumstance.

Therefore, Shishio's plan was not limited to burning down Kyoto and imitating the Ikedaya Incident—that was merely a landmark event in the confrontation between samurai groups at the end of the Edo period, and its influence on the whole of Japan was not the greatest. If we were to talk about the greatest, we would have to mention the Battle of Toba-Fushimi, which led to the change of the world's rulers.

When the last shogun, Tokugawa Yoshinobu, learned of the unfavorable situation, he abandoned his army and fled from Osaka Castle back to Edo Castle (present-day Tokyo), where he went into hiding. Later, when the Meiji Restoration army besieged the castle, Yoshinobu entrusted Katsu Kaishu with negotiating a peace treaty with the Restorationists. Ultimately, Edo Castle surrendered without bloodshed, the shogunate collapsed, and Japan entered a new era.
