Those time travelers that year

Using the Shadow Step skill of [Shadow Blade], Charles quickly arrived at the battlefield. Of course, he stopped at the edge of the battlefield. Although [Shadow Blade] granted him the ability to become invisible and accelerate, it didn't mean he could ignore the raging flames and the rampaging boulders. Stopping at the edge of the battlefield, Charles concealed himself while controlling his flying familiar, observing the battle below from high above.
Although the skies were filled with fierce air battles between the two sides, and two [Heroes] were engaged in aerial combat, all of this took place at altitudes of hundreds or even thousands of meters. The flying familiar controlled by Sharl, being small and flying at a low altitude, did not recklessly enter the area where the two [Heroes] were fighting. It simply used its high-altitude observation advantage to monitor the battle from the edge of the skies.
There, a stone figure, seemingly made entirely of bluish-gray rock, wielding a stone club, and another demon, fully armored and wielding a sword burning with hellfire, with a bunch of withered wings on its back, were locked in a fierce battle.
The stone golem swung its long staff, hurling a rock that appeared out of thin air in front of it at the demon wielding a flaming blade. The rock was sent flying with a deafening roar. This rock was far more powerful than a cannonball; its passage created ripples in the air and shook the earth.
On the other side, a demon wielding a flaming blade, with flames engulfing the entire battlefield, dodged the oncoming rock attack. However, the stone golem then rolled onto the ground, transforming into a round boulder that slammed into the demon, sending him staggering. Then, emerging from the rubble, the stone golem swung its long club down at the demon.
Caught off guard, the demon, after being struck several times by the stone golem's long staff, angrily cleaved the golem to the ground with its flaming greatsword.
……
"【Doomsday Bringer】and 【Earth Spirit】?!" Watching the two 【Heroes】fighting, Sharl, hidden to the side, observed the scene. The demon wielding the flaming blade must be the Dire's 【Doomsday Bringer】, while the stone golem on the other side is the Radiant's 【Earth Spirit】. "Damn, neither of them are friendly!"
Watching the two heroes locked in combat, Sharl found himself in a difficult situation. These weren't the heroes he'd encountered before; these two, to put it simply, possessed devastating silence abilities. For Sharl, a spellcaster, these two were truly his natural enemies. If it were just the Earth Spirit, it would be easier; Sharl could use Apparition to dodge the Earth Spirit's silence skill.
But how do you dodge Doom's ultimate?! He's the infamous Doom Daddy! One Doom Curse and anyone he targets is doomed, anyone he targets has to run away. It's arguably the most shameless skill in all of Dota: spell silence, high continuous damage, and it prevents you from using items. Target a squishy mage, and they're forced to run...
Unfortunately, Sharl is somewhat of a fragile character. Furthermore, Sharl's attacks are primarily magical, so once silenced, he's essentially useless. He can't just activate his demon form and go in for a fight! He's not a Demon Hunter, though he's not blind.
"The biggest threat to me is the [Curse of Doomsday]. The [Doomsday Bringer] basically relies on this move to dominate the world. In comparison, the [Earth Spirit] is much less of a threat. As long as I dodge his skills and avoid being hit by his ultimate, I'm basically fine..."
"No, we can't be that sure. Going up there ourselves is too dangerous. We need to find an opportunity to pull both of them into the Reality Marble. Once they're inside, we can easily gang up on these [Heroes] and kill them..."
......
Boom!
The two heroes, locked in a fierce battle, had their ultimate skill activated by the Earth Spirit, which directly applied Magnetization to the Doomsday Bringer. Visible magnetic field ripples surrounded the Doomsday Bringer, tearing at his body and creating numerous wounds.
Not only that, [Earth Spirit] used [Geomagnetic Grip] to pull the knocked-back rock back and slammed it into [Doomsday Bringer]. After silencing its opponent, [Earth Spirit] brought its staff down and struck [Doomsday Bringer], while a surge of cold air emanated from its body and spread out.
Faced with the Earth Spirit's initial attack, the Doomsday Bringer was forced to retreat. However, after a while, the silence effect wore off, and before the Earth Spirit could strike again, the Doomsday Bringer swung its sword at the Earth Spirit. Immediately afterward, a circular magic circle formed from blazing red light, binding the Earth Spirit within it. Several chains of flame bound the Earth Spirit, relentlessly scorching it.
[Doomsday Curse]
This terrifying curse spell was directly locked onto the Earth Spirit. Even with its rock-like body, the Earth Spirit suffered immense damage under the scorching flames of the apocalypse. It swayed, half-kneeling on the ground, only to be met by the blade swung by the Doomsday Messenger. The blade, burning with hellfire, tore through the Earth Spirit's rocky body, pinning it to the ground.
Not long after, the first "hero" to fall on this battlefield appeared. The "Earth Spirit" was killed by the "Doomsday Bringer." Even with an indestructible rock body, it was no match for the curse power of the "Doomsday Curse" and the burning of hellfire.
With the death of [Earth Spirit], the remaining Radiant [Heroes] naturally realized this reality. Their roars shook the sky, and [Dragon Knight], transformed into a giant dragon, swooped down from the sky, unleashing a blast of frost-covered dragon breath directly at [Doombringer].
Facing the enraged Dragon Knight, the Doomsday Bringer, already severely injured in his battle with the Earth Spirit, was initially overwhelmed. However, the rapidly falling statue slammed into the Dragon Knight, slamming him to the ground. The Undead Dragon swooped down from the sky, engaging the Dragon Knight once more. Taking advantage of this moment, the heavily wounded Doomsday Bringer immediately retreated, withdrawing from the battle.
Watching the [Doomsday Bringer] slay the [Earth Spirit], Charles glanced at the [Earth Spirit's] remains, but ultimately didn't strike at this first Radiant [Hero] to fall in battle. Instead, he seized the rare opportunity to follow the heavily wounded [Doomsday Bringer].
It's past four in the morning!!!
143. The Beginning of the Battlefield (Part 2)
Dealing with a hero who has lost their ultimate ability and is heavily injured wouldn't actually take much effort for Sharl. However, to be on the safe side, fearing that the Doomsday Bringer might have a Refresher Orb, Sharl opted for a group attack after engaging the Doomsday Bringer. The twelve knights of the Farron Undead Legion, the black giant wolf created from the abyss, and the Balrog, a super-modified version of the Fiendfyre spell. If it weren't for the fact that the Wandering Swordsman's soul hadn't been completely turned into a ghost, the Cursed Tree wasn't fully modified, and the Ancient Wyvern was too large after being released, there would have been even more 'pets' ganging up on the Doomsday Bringer.
Even so, the kindergarten director, a match for the zoo director, has proven with his actions that ganging up is the only way to win. In fact, the [Doomsday Bringer] didn't have a refresh orb as Sharl had feared. Coupled with Sharl's shameless display of ganging up, the twelve Farron Undead Knights relentlessly hacked at the [Doomsday Bringer], while the fearless Balrog and Black Wolf desperately restricted its movements. Finally, Sharl finished it off with a [Finger of Death].
After quietly killing the [Doomsday Bringer], Charles returned to the battlefield and began to take matters into his own hands against the [Heroes] who were fighting in a frenzy.

In the starry sky beyond this world, the [Erosion God of the Underworld], silently hovering, gazes down upon the material world. Somewhere within that world, a war between the Radiant and the Nightshade is raging. Bloodthirsty [Heroes] fight fiercely, the aftershocks of their battle annihilating soldiers and other innocent creatures near the battlefield. And amidst this carnage, an outsider, whom the [Erosion God of the Underworld] yearns to be utterly banished, is lurking, launching a sneak attack.
"The time has come!" whispered the Obsidian-constructed [Erosion God of the Realm]. And in this desolate, colorless starry sky, another voice responded.
"Are you really sure!?" The purple-bodied [Void Mask] appeared beside [Death God Eroder]. "Sacrificing our physical bodies and a portion of our power, going to great lengths just to completely drive it out of this world, to banish it forever?"
"Do you want to face an endless army born solely for destruction?!" [The Devourer of the Realm] replied, "A final war to destroy the world?!"
“Alright! Then, I'll listen to you, my friend!” [Void Mask] said. “So, the rest of you friends and your opponents, are you also sure you want to participate in this boring game?!”
As the words of [Void Mask] fell, a cold white star appeared in the sky. At the same time, as if in sharp contrast, a blazing golden-red light also appeared in the sky.
On the other side, crackling lightning converged into a blazing white sphere of light, while the distorted darkness, tinged with starlight, formed a vortex.
"Looks like there are a lot of people who are really bored with life!"
"Let's begin!" said [Death God Eater]. "Bring this outsider who brings calamity from the future. Let us banish him from this world forever."

.
The death of the [Doomsday Bringer] was only the beginning of this war. Soon after, in the aerial battle, the [Dragon Knight] decisively killed the [Undead Wyvern], tearing its gargoyle body to shreds. However, even though the [Dragon Knight] killed the [Undead Wyvern], he paid a heavy price; the [Undead Wyvern]'s dying [Soul Rebirth] severely wounded him.
The severely wounded Dragon Knight could no longer maintain his dragon form and fell to the ground, reverting to human form. Of course, given time, with his dragon bloodline, the Dragon Knight could have fully recovered his fighting strength. At this moment, Sharl found the Dragon Knight, refreshed his Death Finger, and unleashed two consecutive Death Finger strikes, instantly killing the heavily injured Dragon Knight.
The Undead Dragon and the Dragon Knight have died...
Shadow Fiend and Morphling fought to a standstill. Shadow Fiend's Soul Song covered most of the battlefield, indiscriminately sweeping through both armies and annihilating tens of thousands of lives. It also affected several other heroes in the battle. Finally, Morphling escaped the battlefield by switching places.
Faced with the heavily wounded Shadow Fiend, and the innocent Phantom Assassin and Bounty Hunter caught in the crossfire of Soul Requiem, Sharl finally decided to go all in. He unleashed Chaos Sacrifice, then released his hounds…
The hero's final desperate attempt still inflicted significant injuries on Sharl, but for Sharl, it was worthwhile. Even the bounty hunter was utterly helpless against Sharl wielding the True Sight Gem. Two slamming hellfires first crushed the Shadow Fiend, who had fought the Morphling to a standstill. This demon hero, renowned for devouring souls, was ultimately engulfed by the abyss unleashed by Sharl. Then, the bounty hunter died, bound by the Soul Shackles, and severely wounded by the Shadow Fiend's demise. Finally, he was beheaded by the Balrog summoned by Sharl.
The last hero, the Phantom Assassin, also met his end by being overwhelmed and killed by Shar's summoned creatures. However, in his final counterattack, this terrifying assassin managed to pierce Shar's chest with his blade, but unfortunately, it did not hit any vital organs.
……
Clutching his bleeding wound, Charles began using healing spells to treat it, while simultaneously stuffing a stored healing stone into his mouth. Although the Phantom Assassin had inflicted a sufficiently painful wound on him, and the continuous use of magic had left him with very little mana, it was all worth it for Charles.
The souls and bodies of six heroes—[Doomsday Bringer], [Undead Dragon], [Dragon Knight], [Shadow Fiend], [Phantom Assassin], and [Bounty Hunter]—fell into the abyssal sludge summoned by Sharl.
“I really made a profit…cough cough…” Charles coughed. “But, it was because of my carelessness at the end that I got stabbed in the back…”
With the healing spells and healing stones, the wounds from the Phantom Assassin's desperate counterattack were quickly healed.
"Alright, let's make one last quick buck and head out!!"
On this battlefield, attacking heroes from both sides undoubtedly offended both the Radiant and Dire factions. Since both sides still possess powerful heroes, Sharl, having amassed his fortune, has decided to leave this world. However, this is only temporary; he needs to escape the limelight…
Just as Charles was about to take out his pocket watch and begin the passage to leave this world, a sudden flash of light appeared in front of him. Then, a blazing white orb of light appeared before Charles. But before Charles could react, a white bolt of lightning shot out from the orb and struck Charles.
The lightning itself had no power to harm Ciel, but once it linked to him, it firmly locked onto his coordinates...
"Not good..." Charles was stunned for a moment, but immediately remembered the identity of the orb of light—Io, one of the Radiant Heroes. Unfortunately, before he could react, he and Io vanished from the spot in a flash of white light.
It's dawn!
144. The End and the New World
In the dim starry sky, cold white stars, distorted, incandescent white magnetic fields, chasms torn open by powerful magic, fiery novae radiating endless heat, distorted and manipulated spacetime, ultimate darkness swallowing everything, swirling nebulae...
Unbridled success lulled the vigilant among the victors. Before the opened star portal, a being constructed of obsidian unleashed a dazzling mental storm, its powerful psychic energy distorting reality.
"Visitors from another world..." said the obsidian creature, the [Hero] named [Erosion of the Realm], "...You bring a future of calamity and death. Among the countless possibilities of the future, I have foreseen one: a legion of fire and destruction that will burn this world to ashes."
"For the sake of this world's future, you will be forever banished from this world..."
"Let's have a one-on-one fight, damn it..." Endless darkness surged from the warlock's shadow, his dark golden eyes watching the group of heroes who had come to gang up on him. He was usually a master at ganging up on others, but now he was being ganged up on himself; Sharl felt it was a complete joke.
Alright! When [Aio] landed, used [Descent] to appear in front of him, and then used [Chain of Lightning] to lock his coordinates before they both jumped through space, Xia Er knew that he had finally been caught off guard. The moment he appeared in this strange starry world, those [Heroes], whom Xia Er hadn't even seen clearly, launched an attack on him without hesitation.
Before that, his constant ambushes of heroes on the battlefield had already depleted a significant portion of his magic power due to the continuous use of powerful spells. Although theoretically he could use and manipulate the Abyss and Primordial Flame within his Reality Marble to replenish his power, he was reluctant to fully utilize the Abyss and Primordial Flame for fear of being corrupted by the Abyss.
Because he didn't know if doing so would make him a Lord of Cinder, burned like timber. But sometimes, reality doesn't give him a choice, just like now.
[Erosion of the Realm], [Void Mask], [Io], [Ancient Titan], [Phoenix], [Ancient Ice Soul], [Enigma]... Seven [Hero]-level beings brought him here and launched an attack on him without saying a word.
I've used up too much magic power. Now, facing the hostility and attacks of seven heroes, my only chance to survive is to fight to the death. I must at least obtain one opportunity to use the pocket watch to open a teleportation portal and leave this world.
The twilight-colored flames ignited on Ciel's body...
……
'The price is too high...'
No one expected that this outsider would possess something that represented sin itself.
'You're fully responsible, Blackbird!'
'...The passage has been opened, completely banishing this uninvited guest.'
'Let him leave this place forever, never to return to this world.'
'Since so many heroes have died, this war should be temporarily put to rest.'
'However, we may have permanently lost a portion of our power, swallowed up by that black sludge and that malevolent flame.'
……
Charles barely heard the rest of the conversation. Even with his desperate efforts, Charles was no match for the combined attack of seven heroes and was soundly beaten. However, the seven heroes fared no better; compared to fel energy, these guys were even more hesitant when facing the Abyss and the Primordial Flame.
Ciel eventually found an opportunity to use the pocket watch, but judging from the final outcome, he became certain that those guys' initial goal wasn't to kill him, the uninvited guest. So, in a sense, Ciel was clearly tricked by using the pocket watch.

What lies beyond this world? It's still a dazzling starry sky, one that you'll never tire of seeing no matter how many times you look at it. Within that sky, each star is not merely a planet, but a world with its own rules, its own development, and its own set of beliefs.
As the Buddhists say, they are as numerous as the sands of the Ganges.
Only when you see this starry sky can you truly understand what "countless" means.
And within this vast galaxy, an inconspicuous shooting star streaked across the sky. Passing through star after star, traversing world after world, this shooting star flew through the heavens, finally, after passing countless stars, falling towards an incomparably brilliant one—a star of unparalleled brilliance, its light illuminating a vast expanse of the surrounding void. If the stars representing the Harry Potter world are fireflies about to go out, and the stars representing the Elder Scrolls and Type-Moon worlds are like lamplight… then this world is a blaze of light.
Then, the shooting star that carried someone through the starry sky seemed to be captured by that world and fell towards it.

Life is full of ups and downs; who can predict the fickleness of fate? Those politicians who once dominated the political arena, those generals who commanded thousands of troops, those incredibly wealthy individuals who spent lavishly, those long-established noble families—they will no longer have a place in the world today. The world doesn't allow comics from editors who constantly try to retconnives and make money; it doesn't offer endless restarts and save-loading. Therefore, many extraordinary elements won't exist, but what's meant to be will still be there. It's like a wealthy and talented individual whose life, due to a cruel joke played by fate, experiences dramatic rises and falls…
Not long ago, he was the star of every banquet, his name practically a staple of newspapers and gossip headlines. His surname even represented one word—'genius'! No one could deny his genius, but it was precisely because of this that he, a genius, had fallen to this state, trudging through the scorching sun in a wretched state. Could anything be worse? Yes, it could be. He was currently in a desolate desert. Of course, reality was even worse than he imagined: if no one came to his rescue, even if he could endure the daytime heat and not die of dehydration, the desert's bizarre temperature drop at night would surely kill him.
"God!!!" the disheveled traveler muttered to himself in the desert. "Well, I guess... Jesus probably won't welcome me. Hey, I guess I should pray to Satan more likely..." He had recently come to realize that Heaven wouldn't open its doors to him. Before, he would have thought that Heaven and Hell were just charlatans' tricks, and he always trusted only his own brilliant mind. He'd rather think about the reporters who practically walked right into his doorstep than the angels of Heaven.
However, now he thinks angels might be prettier, but he no longer believes he will go to heaven; it's more likely he'll go straight to hell after death. His talent led to a period of utter darkness and a desperate struggle for survival, which also allowed him to see... many things that cannot be seen in the news or on social media.
