Boom!!! At this moment, the towering Destroyer displayed unimaginable agility, its massive body retreating a distance in an instant, just barely dodging the spear falling from the sky. Then, a heavy punch shattered the air in front of it, sending Sif, who happened to land there, flying and crashing into several houses.
The next moment, a blazing red light surged from the Destroyer's helmet once more, a high-energy beam that burned everything in its path and destroyed matter swept out, turning everything around into a sea of fire. This attack, capable of easily destroying modern weapons and annihilating two S.H.I.E.L.D. combat units, only slightly injured the four Asgardian warriors. Despite their injuries, the four rose from the flames and ruins and once again faced the Destroyer.
A fiery red light shone from the cracks in the Destroyer's body, then transformed into a dazzling gold. Centered on the Destroyer, visible energy gathered, appearing before everyone's eyes. At the same time, the expressions of the four Asgardian warriors and Thor, who had lost his divine power, changed drastically.
"Stop, Loki!" Thor shouted and ran toward the Destroyer, but Jane, who was quick-witted and agile, grabbed him, and the others reached out and pulled the struggling Thor back.
"It's too dangerous there, don't go!" Jane shouted anxiously.
"No, Loki has gone mad!" Thor shouted. "He wants to destroy this city and kill every life here."
"Stop him!" Sif, the Asgardian warrior, cried out, summoning her shield and charging at the Destroyer with a spear in one hand and shield in the other, attempting to halt its advance. The Warriors Three, who had regrouped, also gripped their weapons tightly, their faces grim, and followed.
Loki, far away in Asgard, was magically linked to the Destroyer and clearly saw this scene. With a cold smile, Loki planned to give the order for the Destroyer to unleash an energy blast, turning the city and these foolish creatures into ruins.
But at that moment, the raging flames began to churn and coalesce into a swirling vortex of fire from an unseen hand. Loki, witnessing this, abruptly stopped. In that instant, a massive, blazing flaming sword emerged from the vortex, and a gigantic arm encased in dark red, menacing armor wielded the flaming blade, delivering a devastating slash that sent the unsuspecting Destroyer flying.
On the Destroyer's body, which was originally indestructible, a hideous gash ran across its chest, and dark red hellfire branded itself directly onto the wound.
It's past midnight!!!
189. Gang Fight (Part 1)
A menacing dark red armor, a massive, flaming blade, and the hellfire beneath his feet that incinerates everything. Behind him are a pair of black wings stained with flames, a symbol of despair. His enormous size is no less than that of the steel giant, perhaps even greater. A pair of goat horns grow from his terrifying head, and a deafening roar proclaims his arrival from myth and legend into the real world.
demon……
Whether it was Loki watching from Asgard through the Destroyer, or Sif, the Warriors Three, and Thor fighting the Destroyer, whether they saw it with their own eyes or through surveillance footage, everyone who saw that massive figure emerge from the flames and single-handedly cut down the once invincible Destroyer instantly thought of this one word.
It represents sin, disaster, and evil.
Spreading destruction, creating death, destroying nations, and slaughtering living beings.
The appearance of the fire demon cast an atmosphere of utter terror over everything. Ordinary humans like Daisy and Jane collapsed to the ground in horror, staring at the demon wielding a giant flaming blade. Similarly, the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents witnessing the scene through surveillance cameras were utterly dumbfounded, their worldviews shattered beyond repair. The Asgardian visitors, however, were not gripped by the fire demon's terrifying aura. Even Thor, stripped of his divine powers and now mortal, though shocked by the demon's appearance, immediately shielded his fallen Earth friends. Sif and the Warriors Three, still possessing superhuman strength, immediately aimed their weapons at the appearing fire demon, crouching low, ready to charge forward at any moment shouting "Demacia!"
Just as everyone was astonished by the appearance of the fire demon, the Destroyer, which had been knocked to the ground by a single sword strike, stood up again. The wound on its chest, which had been cleaved open, was slowly healing, its metal creaking and groaning. If it weren't for the flames still burning on the wound, it would have been completely healed in an instant.
As the Destroyer rose again, golden light shone through the gaps in its body. The visor on its helmet fell down, and the golden aura almost burst forth as beams of light. Upon its appearance, the fire demon that had slashed down the Destroyer with a single sword strike showed no weakness as it raised its massive flaming blade, flames surging from its body and enveloping it.
"I know you can see and hear everything through this behemoth, Loki." Just as a fierce battle seemed imminent, a ghostly voice rang out. Accompanied by the sudden gathering of black smoke, Ciel, clad in a black trench coat and possessing unusually dark golden eyes, stepped out of the smoke and appeared at the feet of the fire demon. At that moment, the fire demon, who had been wielding a massive flaming blade and about to charge into battle, suddenly lowered his sword and knelt on one knee before Ciel.
His dark golden eyes swept over the humans present, pausing briefly on Thor before turning back to the Destroyer, who was still poised to strike. Or rather, he looked at Loki, who was gazing at them from distant Asgard through the Destroyer's gaze.
"Ha ha ha, a boring court game," Charles laughed at the Destroyer. "Is it interesting, Aesir, God of Deception!?"
"But now, the game needs to be paused for a while."
……
Far away in Asgard, Loki sat alone in the great hall, on the throne reserved for the king of gods. Through the connection between Gungnir in his hand and the Destroyer, Loki clearly saw and heard everything that happened on Midgard through the Destroyer itself.
Loki was surprised, but not entirely astonished, that the sudden appearance of the fire demon could pierce the Destroyer's defenses with a single blow. The Destroyer was Asgard's last line of defense, intended to guard its treasury; its original purpose was as a humanoid combat weapon in interstellar warfare. While there were beings on Asgard capable of harming the Destroyer, its true terror lay in its ability to adapt to enemy attacks through constant combat. This armor, blessed by the gods, also contained the power of other deities. Countless powers from different gods converged within the armor; each attack on the Destroyer continuously activated these hidden divine powers, meaning the more the Destroyer was attacked, the stronger it became.
How powerful could the Destroyer become? No one knows. Perhaps only Odin, the god-king who proposed creating the Destroyer, and Mimir, the god of wisdom whose head remains by the Mimir spring, could truly understand the Destroyer's potential.
With this confidence, Loki was not afraid of anyone on Midgard. Even the wizard on Midgard, Loki did not believe he could defeat the Destroyer.
However, it seems that something unexpected has happened...
However, it would be wishful thinking to think that the fire demon wielding the giant flaming blade could threaten Loki.
Loki sneered as he looked at the suddenly appearing Shire through the Destroyer, listening to his words with disdain. While the fire demon was indeed somewhat capable, the Destroyer still possessed far greater power. On his first time controlling the Destroyer, Loki was clearly unable to unleash its full potential, but its limitless regeneration and reconstructive ability alone was enough to make the Destroyer virtually invincible.
Moreover, the more you attack the Destroyer, the faster you will unleash its power. As long as Loki's magic power to control the Destroyer can keep up, the Destroyer will become stronger and stronger in battle.
However, Loki's smile froze shortly afterward.
The Destroyer, having just risen again and reassembled itself, was blasted away again in no time. A much larger sword wound nearly severed the Destroyer in two. Although this time there was no flame suppression clinging to the wound, and the damaged area quickly healed, it was clear that this was the second time on Midgard that the Destroyer, Asgard's proud weapon of war, had been blasted away.
The one who made the move was a warrior clad in full knight's armor, his entire body completely encased in it, wielding a black greatsword as large as himself. This warrior exuded an astonishing aura, and anyone who saw the golden and crimson lightning crackling around him would agree that he was indeed a formidable figure; the sound and light effects were simply phenomenal.
Bathed in the flickering lightning, the warrior wielding the black greatsword resembled Thor far more than Thor himself. After slicing the Destroyer away, the warrior roared and charged like a cannonball towards the now-healed Destroyer. Golden and crimson lightning crackled on the massive sword, larger than a man, as it slashed down with overwhelming force towards the Destroyer.

The air crackled like it was being torn apart, as the black greatsword, crackling with two different colors of lightning, descended with overwhelming force. The next moment, the earth trembled and the mountains crumbled—this was no exaggeration, but a genuine cataclysmic event. The greatsword's passage unleashed immense wind pressure, sending sparks flying. Facing this earth-shattering attack, the Destroyer instantly crossed its arms in front of it, attempting to use its indestructible nature to withstand the devastating blow.
A deafening explosion, accompanied by a powerful earthquake, followed. The warrior, wielding a black greatsword and crackling with lightning, struck the Destroyer squarely. Then, as if crushed by a heavy steamroller, the Destroyer vanished into the dust cloud.
In front of the giant sword, fierce sword energy swept across everything in its path, finally subsiding only dozens of meters away. However, everything in its path, whether houses or cars, was torn to shreds by the sword energy.
The devastating slash was so powerful that there was no doubt it could slice an aircraft carrier in two. Everyone was stunned. For the first time, the world felt utterly alien, making them wonder if it was still the world they knew!
For example, people like Jane and Daisy, who originally had normal values, have had their scientific understanding completely shattered today. Not only is there a demon that should only exist in myths and stories, but there's also Thor, who has lost his divine powers, and a whole bunch of guys who came from Asgard. But what's with this guy dressed like he's from the Middle Ages? Could he be some war god from another mythology who just popped out of somewhere?
The S.H.I.E.L.D. personnel watching this through the surveillance video were also stunned; the scene was absolutely shocking. Once upon a time, Earth was a world of firearms, but somehow, supernatural powers gradually began to emerge in every corner of human society.
First came the emergence of mutants, and then came all sorts of masked street thieves robbing police officers. Now, as time goes by, the world is becoming increasingly unfamiliar. At least decades ago, during World War II, the most famous superhero was Captain America. But after the war, mutants, mutated humans, and various failed experiments have continuously asserted their presence, pulling the era in an uncontrollable direction.
However, while the Earthlings' worldviews were shattered, the Asgardian visitors' worldviews weren't completely shaken. But they weren't much better off! After all, in their original understanding, Midgard was a backward place. Yet, in just over a thousand years, the entire situation on Midgard had undergone a complete 360-degree transformation. For Sif and the Warriors Three, neither the demon wielding the flaming blade nor the warrior who had single-handedly cut down the Destroyer and disappeared without a trace should have appeared on the seemingly weak Midgard!
Well, it should be said that they are ignorant. You know, in the endless world, many incomprehensible things always appear in this magical place called Earth. Alien monsters, wild Ultraman, demon kings who come to work, the daughter of a cosmic overlord, evil gods who turn into tsundere girls... and all sorts of other random things, all tirelessly gather in this little patch of the universe called Earth.
Then, due to a series of unavoidable and unforeseen circumstances, it suffered a crushing defeat.
Right now, the only one who remains calm is Ciel.
"So, that 'god' now sitting on the throne of Asgard!" With a wave of his hand, the warrior who had slain the Destroyer sheathed his greatsword and stepped back. While waiting for the Destroyer to reassemble, Sharl spoke with a calm gaze and equally composed voice, "Fighting and killing are really bad. Everyone should sit down and talk things out, find common ground while respecting differences. Killing someone at the slightest disagreement is a rather barbaric habit." Those who heard this looked at Sharl with disbelief, as if he were a lunatic.
"What are you looking at?" Sensing the subtle gazes from those around him, Charles glanced at these weaklings and said disdainfully, "This is called diplomacy of fists, you know! How should negotiations be conducted? It's about simultaneously attacking the other side relentlessly while having a friendly chat about life at the negotiating table. For example, decades ago, this country and the country across the sea were fighting tooth and nail, yet they were also having a good talk at the negotiating table for quite some time."
"Although this country's last-ditch delaying tactics were thwarted by the other side's even more unreasonable and rogue tactics, and the delaying negotiations turned into stupidity, this tells us that real negotiations should be conducted in this way."
"Didn't you see how skillfully this country played its hand in the subsequent war? First, they beat you half to death, then we talked about the problems. If we couldn't reach an agreement, they beat you to death again, and then we could reach an agreement."
Then what was given to Shire was a beam of light energy.
The Destroyer, now rebuilt, under the control of the now-darkened God of Deception, unleashed a destructive beam at Charles, who was still rambling on to the person next to him. Charles, prepared, calmly met the beam—enough to vaporize most matter on Earth and shatter molecular and atomic structures. It struck a massive shield.
A giant, also fully armed but far taller than the warrior who had previously slain the Destroyer with a single sword strike, suddenly appeared beside Charles. He held a large shield that appeared to be made from the bones of some creature, and wore armor matching the shield's color—truly armor forged from the bones of some colossal being. This shield instantly and decisively blocked the Destroyer's destructive ray. That energy ray, capable of easily destroying matter and incinerating steel, merely left a shallow char mark on the large shield.
"Look, your brother understands this negotiation mechanism very well!" Facing the Destroyer's sudden attack, Charles turned to Thor, who looked completely bewildered, as if nothing had happened. "You're not as good as him in this respect!" Beside Charles, the Shield Warrior, who had blocked the Destruction Ray, wielding a giant shield in his left hand and a crescent-bladed axe in his right, stomped on the ground, shattering it into pieces. With an agility that seemed disproportionate to his body, he leaped in front of the Destroyer, who had just reassembled and gotten back up, and slammed his shield into the Destroyer's face.
It's the fifth watch already!!! You promised to give me the monthly tickets! The author is about to die!!!
191. Gang Fight (Part 2)
If you were to ask who the unluckiest guy in the world is, some might say a certain womanizer. While he might be unlucky, he certainly has a lot of female admirers! In reality, the truly unluckiest are none other than the villainous bosses with grand ambitions, those who dream of accomplishing something earth-shattering. Precisely because they are villains with lofty ideals, their path to success is always fraught with obstacles. Just look at that tiny planet called Azeroth to see how many villainous bosses, simply because they harbored grand ambitions, were targeted by a bunch of scumbags and ruthless villains, only to be brutally humiliated.
Whether you're human or some evil god crawling out of a corner of the world, as long as you're carrying something called "equipment," and as long as some unscrupulous NPCs have labeled you as someone who wants to destroy the world, you're bound to be targeted by those jL (players who rely on in-game currency) and BH (players who rely on in-game currency). Those locusts called "footmen," who are parachuted onto that tiny planet by Blizzard for their profit-making goals, will happily spend countless deaths to gather information about you, and then let you die countless more times.
Among these activities, "fighting the boss" is a phrase constantly on the lips of the players. And to fight a boss, at the very least, you need a five-person team. Therefore, upholding the fine traditions of a player, although currently on the path of constantly farming bosses, Sharl never believes that some things require him to exhaust himself. For example, that thing called the Destroyer. Since he doesn't want to go up there himself, then let his underlings do it. What's the point of exhausting yourself farming dungeons if not to catch pets?!
Now it's time to enjoy waving your hand and having your henchmen chop others to smithereens.
However, this was not a good thing for the Destroyer, and for Loki, who controlled it on Asgard. In fact, Loki was completely bewildered. Why were so many inexplicable events occurring on such a small place as Midgard? But Loki didn't have time to think about that now. Seated on the throne of Asgard, he used the power of Gungnir in his hand to traverse countless dimensions and remotely control the Destroyer. However, while the Destroyer was powerful, that was only if its full power could be unleashed. Loki, controlling the Destroyer for the first time, clearly couldn't utilize its power. He had no clue about the divine power blessed by the other gods and retained within the Destroyer's body; he could only passively exert that power, causing the Destroyer to cycle through being shattered, reassembled, and shattered again.
The burly men besieging the Destroyer clearly weren't giving Loki any chance. Or rather, the Shire, also in control, was directing his summoned creatures in a relentless, coordinated attack on the Destroyer.
The shield warrior, described as a shield warrior but actually wearing dragon-slaying armor, was the first to attack. His precise shield slam, clearly demonstrating his experience as a skilled tank, landed squarely on the Destroyer's face. The massive shield slammed down, denting the Destroyer's skull. Before the Destroyer could react, the giant axe in the Destroyer's hand came crashing down upon it.
On the other side, the warriors wielding greatswords also raised their weapons without hesitation, joining the fray and relentlessly attacking the Destroyer, dismantling it again and again. Loki had tried to get the Destroyer to retaliate, but that hope was dashed when the fire demon who had appeared first rejoined the fray. Chains of fire suddenly appeared from the void, wrapping around the Destroyer's body. Then, a six-pointed star of fire appeared on the Destroyer's body. Loki, controlling the Destroyer, was horrified to find that his control over it was rapidly diminishing. He could only control the Destroyer to retaliate and reassemble; all other methods were ineffective. Even the most common energy beams were completely silenced.
Then, what awaited the destroyers was the inhuman hacking and slashing of three burly men, reminiscent of the old Causeway Bay gangsters ordering ordinary people to wield watermelon knives and hack them to pieces. Oh, and of course, there was also a gigantic wolf that appeared out of nowhere, leading a pack of wolves far larger than ordinary ones, forcefully watching the scene.
"Therefore, friendly communication is a necessary condition for resolving disputes." Amidst this series of mind-boggling realities, only Charles continues his tireless rambling of nonsense: "As long as we lay down our weapons, and everyone sits down together for a meal and a chat..."
Over there, a shield bash knocked the Destroyer off balance, followed by a black greatsword slamming it to the ground, and then a flaming blade pinning it to the ground.
The Destroyer, having reconstructed its body, struggled to its feet and punched the warrior wielding the black greatsword, sending him flying. But immediately, the warrior, shield slung behind its back, swung its giant axe and sent it flying again. Mid-flight, the fire demon wielded its flaming blade and severed its head. However, not long after, the severed head instantly flew back to the broken body, restoring it to its original state.
"By reminiscing about good old days and looking forward to a bright future of seeking common ground while respecting differences, this world can become a better place..." Meanwhile, Charles continued spouting nonsense, completely ignoring the stares from those around him who thought he was crazy.
"Cough cough, alright, alright...stop it!" After talking until his throat was really dry, Charles finally stopped, halting his subordinates' inhumane gang beating of the Destroyer, and then shouted, "Hey, you over there, what are you going to do with Loki? What have you thought about it!"
I'm considering you...
In Asgard, Loki glared furiously at the Shire through the Destroyer, veins bulging in his hand as he gripped Gungnir tightly. If he could, he would have loved to hurl the spear and pierce the incessantly defiant wizard through the heart. Unfortunately, while he could remotely control the Destroyer through Gungnir, it came at a price: Loki had to constantly supply it with magic. And with his limited power, he couldn't simply hurl it across the vast expanse of space; the divine declaration was utterly ineffective given his power and status.
Now, Loki only wanted to teach that wizard who kept embarrassing him a lesson, even if it meant destroying the Destroyer. However, just as Loki was about to unleash his magic at all costs, intending to send the Destroyer to self-destruct and destroy everything, Shire suddenly changed his tone.
“I’m just an observer. Well, this country of Midgar, and myself, don’t want to get involved in the court politics of Asgard, so I’m here to be a witness.” Shire put on a sincere expression. “So, forget about those unlucky guys you killed before, but you can’t let the tens of thousands of people in this city be affected.”
"In return, neither I nor this country will interfere in your conflict with your brother. In other words, as long as you don't intend to harm innocent civilians or cause trouble in Midgard, we will not interfere with how you want to kill your brother!"
Loki, who was in Asgard, frowned and his face darkened after hearing the Shire's words. What was this wizard thinking? He started a fight without warning, then went on a tirade, and then immediately changed his tune.
"Don't you understand?" On the other side, after saying what he had just said, Xia Er stared blankly at the Destroyer, which was still motionless after being reassembled, and then immediately said, "In other words, if you choose to leave Midgard after killing your brother, then I won't interfere with your plans. By the way, if you kill those other four ants while you're at it, I won't interfere either."
The author, who updated too much yesterday and is now exhausted, is pretending to be a dried-out salted fish...
192. Thor's End (Part 1)
The moment those words were spoken, the entire battlefield fell silent. Loki, far away in Asgard, the Warriors Three, Sif, Thor, and the innocent Earthlings Daisy and Jane caught in the crossfire, were all stunned once again by the Ciel's words.
"So, Loki!" Sharl didn't bother with their thoughts and opinions, instead looking directly at the Destroyer who stood motionless, but whose armor shone with golden light and whose body was almost liquid. "Of course, you can continue fighting if you want. After all, the Midgard ruler of this country offered me the reward I wanted in order to prevent tens of thousands of people in this city from being dragged into the war."
"Choose now, Loki!" Shire waved his hand, and the greatsword warriors, dragon-slaying armor-clad warriors, balora, giant black wolves, and their pack all surrounded him. In addition, accompanied by distorted air, a troop of knights clad in full armor and wearing pointed hats stepped forward. "Either you and your Asgardian friends resolve your own conflict without involving the tens of thousands of Midgards in this city; or we continue fighting..."
The battlefield fell silent.
Loki, far away in Asgard, sat on his throne, watching the scene unfold. To be honest, although he inwardly wanted to tear the wizard to shreds, he had to admit that the wizard's proposal had indeed stirred Loki's rationality. His original plan was to send the Destroyer to kill Thor and the four idiots who had gone to try and bring Thor back, along with the Midgardians who had offered Thor refuge. However, it seemed that the Destroyer, on which he had placed his hopes, was not performing as expected. Or rather, Loki, wielding the Destroyer for the first time, was unable to utilize its full power, only able to passively increase its strength little by little. But this was a passive improvement after being shattered and rebuilt time and time again.
If things continue like this, the Destroyer will definitely grow to a level where it can completely overwhelm the Ciel, but how long that will take, nobody knows! Moreover, during this process, Loki wouldn't necessarily have to maintain the magical supply to activate the Destroyer's power. In the current situation, the Ciel himself is blocking his way. If Thor chooses to run away at this moment—although the possibility is slim—Loki really doesn't want that to happen. If he really runs away and hides, Midgard is so vast, nobody knows how long it would take him to find Thor.
What worries Loki even more is that his plan is already underway, and soon his true biological 'father' will be lured to Asgard. Opportunities to kill Laufey are rare. Even without the source of his divine power, the Casket of Ice, Laufey is still far beyond his capabilities. He only has one chance, and he really doesn't want to lose it for something like this.
“If you still have doubts, then, Loki! I swear,” Ciel said loudly, “in the name of my grandfather, in the name of my ancestors, I, Ciel Gretel, swear here that as long as your conflict does not affect the mortals of Midgar, I will absolutely not interfere.”
The liquefied golden energy within the Destroyer's body suddenly dimmed. Loki gave in. Seeing this, Shire waved his hand, signaling his men to disperse. The Dragon Slayer Armor, the Greatsword Warrior, the Balrog, the Black Wolf, and the Farron Undead Legion all sheathed their weapons and abandoned any intention to attack, then retreated to either side.
"Despicable and shameless!" Sif, the Asgardian warrior, cried out in fury and resentment at the sight of their lives being traded like a game, pointing her weapon at the Shire. Similarly, the Warriors Three also pointed their weapons at the Shire, not out of anger at the threat to their lives, but because they felt insulted by Loki and the Shire's disregard for them and their casual disposal of their lives. As warriors who valued honor, the Shire and Loki's actions filled them with endless humiliation and contempt.
“Whether you’re a wizard or Loki…” Sif gritted her teeth, pointing her shield and spear at the Shire. “If you want a warrior’s life, come and take it yourself!” Like Sif, the Warriors Three were also enraged. When had they, these elite Asgardian warriors who had fought alongside Thor, ever been subjected to such humiliation? For these honor-loving Asgardians, nothing could be more dishonorable to a warrior’s honor.
"No! This won't do!" Jane, the female scientist, also shouted. Well, it's no wonder that America is so open-minded. They actually hit it off after only a few days of getting to know each other. Seeing the female scientist's brainless appearance, Charles thought that love really does make people lose their IQ.
"What right do you have to dispose of Thor's life so arbitrarily!" Jane shouted as she rushed out from behind, only to be pulled back by Thor, who had remained silent. "You two bastards, I'm going to sue you for violating someone's life and freedom..." Even though she was being held back, Jane angrily cursed at Ciel.
