Thomas thought about it and realized that if no one helped guide him, he might get captured by the Shogunate army while walking.

Wouldn't that mean I'd have to find a way to save them again? That would be too much trouble...

In that case, who should we send?

As he pondered, he turned his gaze to the little guy who had been crouching in the corner since the beginning, covering his eyes and remaining motionless...

Following Thomas's gaze, Ying and Paimon finally remembered that there was a little ninja in the house.

"Zaoyou? Zaoyou! Zao-you—!" Paimon shook Zaoyou vigorously, hoping to wake up the sleepy little ninja.

However, it's unclear whether she was genuinely still sleepy or pretending to be asleep.

No matter how Paimon shook her, she swayed left and right like a roly-poly toy, but never uttered a word.

Seeing this, all three showed helpless expressions.

"Zaoyou? I've prepared rice balls, would you like some?"

As expected of the Kamisato family's know-it-all, Thomas cleverly took the rice ball from the table and handed it to Hayato.

The aroma of rice balls wafted into the little ninja's nose, and she inhaled the scent...

He then reached out and took the rice ball, starting to eat it.

"Haha, eat slowly, no one's going to take it from you. Here, take these rice balls too."

"Mmm mmm!" While slowly munching on the rice ball, Zaoyou didn't forget to stuff it into her pocket.

"Remember to protect them on the way, and of course, take care of your own safety too. Hmm...we can set off now—!"

Before Thomas could finish speaking, Zaoyou suddenly stopped grabbing the rice ball.

She looked up at the older man with a dazed expression, then glanced at Ying and Paimon.

"Why...why am I on the road? Is this a new job...? Ugh, so tiring, I'd rather sleep!"

Zaoyou stretched and put on an expression that showed she was unwilling to compromise, clearly indicating that she really wanted to slack off.

Thomas, of course, would not grant her wish.

"Escorting them is the task the young lady assigned to me, and it's also your mission as the final ninja. You must obey. Understand?"

"Well..."

Hearing the young lady's order, Zaoyou had no choice but to nod reluctantly, and then put the remaining rice balls into her pocket.

After doing all this, the little ninja continued to squat on the ground, covering her eyes and pretending to be asleep. It was unclear whether she had actually heard what Thomas had said.

"Although we wasted a bit of time, it's nothing. Let's get going. Hopefully, in the future... we can work together to overthrow the Eye Hunting Order."

After Thomas finished speaking, he helped open the tunnel of the wooden tea room and sent Yingpai Mengzaoyou inside.

After everyone had left, he sighed and silently wished for their safety: "Travelers from afar, I hope you are safe... As for the Shogunate army, I wonder why they've made such a commotion. Could it be that some great enemy is approaching? Really..."

Thomas didn't know whether there were any external enemies.

Even he, who was usually very alert, was unaware of this, let alone Ying and Paimon, who escaped through the secret passage to the seaside and then left Narukami Island on a raft.

"Luminous, do you think Kiana will be able to find us?"

"I don't know... I don't know where she is now, or what happened after we left."

As Ying rowed the boat, she chatted with Paimon.

Even when she recalls the battle that took place that day, she is still awestruck by the symphony of fire and thunder.

Even if I regain my power... I probably wouldn't be able to display that kind of divine might, would I?

"If Wendy and Zhongli went all out, would they also display this power? This is the power of a god... Brother, before the abyss swallowed the throne, did you really know who you would be fighting against?"

For no apparent reason, Ying felt a chill creeping into her heart...

Just as she gradually stopped what she was doing, lost in her memories, a familiar white figure suddenly appeared in the distant sky...

The Song of Flames and Lightning (Genshin Impact Inazuma Main Story): Author's Note on Release

It's been almost a month since I started writing this book; time really flies.

Let me start by sharing my thoughts...

When I first started this project, I didn't think too much about it, which has led to my current lack of motivation and poor results...

I was supposed to advance after the trial run, but because I didn't know that I had to apply for the advancement recommendation myself, I ended up being eliminated in the first round.

I don't know how many people are still watching all these collections, or how many will continue to watch them. Guarantees are too weak and meaningless.

I'm more enthusiastic about taking action, even though I don't know what the future holds.

Let's talk about the creative process...

As mentioned above, I am keen on taking action, so I was too hasty in conceiving the first chapter.

Before miHoYo develops any new storylines, I think the Divine Sakura Exorcism side quest should be connected to the main storyline.

As it turns out, miHoYo really only treated this as a side story. Although it was connected to the main storyline, it was mostly foreshadowing, such as the calamity of Kanria hundreds of years ago, the identity of the Fox Spirit, and the foreshadowing of the True and Shadow Twin Demon Gods. Perhaps it was also hinted at through Hana Sanri or the Fox Spirit's line: "You must firmly walk on your own path." This hinted at Thor's governing philosophy.

This is my first time writing a fan fiction. In the beginning, in order to stay true to the characters, I didn't make any major changes to the plot. I also did my research and reflections while writing.

It makes one feel that achieving respect for the original work is truly a struggle... However, a senior colleague told me that writing here requires localization and adaptation. I'm not sure how well I've adapted it; I've simply written down the characters as I know them, understand them, and believe them to be.

Although I feel that treating characters as tools would actually lead to better results, I haven't even grasped the basic character design yet, so I will continue to practice, whether it's characters from Genshin Impact or characters I encounter while traveling to other worlds.

Next, I will roughly complete the storyline that Inazuma has already finished. Although some details are different, the general direction is similar, and then I will move on to the next world.

Of course, the protagonist will still have some connection with Teyvat, and how that will be written will be revealed later.

Finally, let's talk about updates and the book club.

Let's set up a bounty: 300 recommendation votes will get an extra chapter, 25 monthly votes will get an extra chapter, 20 blades will get an extra chapter, 2000 cat biscuits will get an extra chapter, and for every 100 first-time subscribers, an extra chapter will be added. As long as I'm not exhausted, I'll keep adding extra chapters.

The book club group number is 980162082.

There are quite a few like-minded people in the group, although they don't really like to chat much, but you can join if you're interested.

Song of Flames and Lightning (Genshin Impact Inazuma Main Story): Chapter 58 When we meet again, we are still partners.

Under the rising sun, the white figure flew in at an extremely fast speed, perhaps because it was worried that the shockwave from landing might accidentally injure it.

In short, after pausing for a while during flight, she slowly landed on the distant shore ahead.

Ying stared intently at the figure standing on the shore, seemingly waiting quietly for something...

For a moment, I didn't know how to react.

That is? Kiana... or rather, a god of unknown origin...

For some reason, Ying couldn't look Kiana in the eye as usual. Although she had long realized that her partner was powerful and knew that her goal in traveling with her was related to Thor.

But who would have thought that she would actually fight Thor!

And it seems... she actually won?

"This kind of power is simply...no, even more terrifying than that nameless god..."

Ying was unsure how to approach Kiana at this moment, this nameless traveler who had seemingly fought and defeated Thor...

She had been vague and evasive when I asked her before, but now she's finally given herself away, and I'm the one who's panicking...

Why did she come to see me again? Was it simply to continue traveling, or...?

Capture yourself?

"Ying? Why are you still spacing out? Kiana is already waiting for us on the shore! Let's hurry over and meet up with her!"

Paimon's soft call interrupted her reverie, forcing her to look up at the white-haired girl waving at her.

She remained as sunny and cheerful as ever, her face radiating a calm and unhurried smile, like a ray of fire illuminating the night, bright yet not dazzling.

At that moment, a sea breeze blew by, causing the fiery cloak to flutter in the wind. Combined with the vibrant color at the end of the snow-white cloak, it radiated a striking, flag-like hue.

The flags fluttering in the wind seem to herald the triumphant return of their owners.

Is this female warrior, who calls herself an unknown traveler, friend or foe?

Ying stared at the owner of the cloak for a long time, then looked at the little ninja, Zayu, who was fast asleep behind the raft. For a moment, she began to wonder whether this girl was escorting her or she was escorting her.

Well, rationally speaking, escaping with Paimon was already an all-out effort, and now with another burden added... it's possible that we can't escape anymore.

"Let's go and meet up with Kiana."

After much hesitation, Ying finally decided to row to the other side to meet up with the traveler friend of unknown origin.

Although she found it hard to imagine Kiana's true identity, she knew very well that what she needed to do at this moment was not to try every means to escape from her.

Instead, it was my duty as a friend who had once received help from her to go and inquire about what she had been through and whether she was feeling unwell.

Finally, the raft slowly reached the shore. Ying clapped her hands, then brushed aside the hair that had been covering her forehead and looked at Kiana, who was slowly walking towards her.

"Kiana, have you already fought General Raiden...?"

"Yes, she's very strong, strong enough that even I have to take her seriously." Kiana truthfully expressed her thoughts, intending to be modest.

"Eh, you're even taking Kiana seriously?"

However, after her successful and safe return, in the eyes of Ying and Paimon, her strength had already subtly surpassed that of General Raiden.

Under such a subjective view, Kiana's humility was instead seen as an arrogant and complacent display.

"So Kiana... after we escaped, was that the god who fought against the Thunder General you?"

Ying dared to directly assert the existence of gods because she knew very well that in this world... only beings at the level of demon gods could unleash the power to slaughter cities and destroy nations.

Even the weakest demon god, such as the Salt Demon God, is a powerful being qualified to become one of the seven rulers of the mortal world.

With such talent, how could she possibly be content to remain unknown?

Could it be...

Ying stared at Kiana's heroic face and muttered something that sounded like nonsense:

"You are one of the gods who survived the Demon God War? Did you come to Inazuma to steal the positions of the Seven Gods? If so, then the Thunder God should already be..."

Before she could even voice her wild thoughts, Kiana slowly raised her hand.
