Volume One: The Human Princess

Prologue

The resource-scarce continent is plunged into endless war.

Blood flowed like rivers and corpses piled up like mountains at the borders between empires and kingdoms.

Sandstorms swept in again and again, burying these rotting bodies.

The towering dragons were emaciated, huddled in caves, awaiting their death.

The orcs hid in a dark corner, cannibalizing their own kind.

The angels had long lost their former glory; they knelt in the temple, clinging to the last glimmer of hope in their hearts through prayer.

Despair pervades this world.

The destruction of the mainland is imminent.

The images appearing in the crystal ball gradually disappeared, and the man sitting on the throne sighed silently.

This man is the ruler of the continent.

An unstoppable war, like humanity's endless greed, gradually erodes the entire world.

No one created this situation; it is the choice made by all things, and now it is time for them to bear the consequences.

The man closed his eyelids slightly, gazing quietly at the crystal ball floating in front of him.

He has two choices now.

Firstly: We wait patiently for this world to gradually perish, for all living beings to die out, and for all things to wither and die.

When the last living being closes their eyes forever, the ruler of this world will be met with endless silence.

Secondly: to make a final struggle for this continent.

To sacrifice the entire world for a single opportunity...

000 The Collapsed World

The moon was crimson, staining the continent blood-red. This was a continent without tomorrow, which had never seen the sun since it was ruled by the Demon King ten thousand years ago.

This is a world where evil has triumphed over justice.

Gale-force winds and sandstorms howled in their ears; the parched land was devoid of any water. All around was devastation. Under the absolute rule of the demons, other races teetered on the brink of extinction.

At the very center of the world, this colossal structure is a place that has been named 'Hell'.

Inside Hell, seated on the throne is the king of this world, the supreme ruler.

The Demon King sat upright in the chair, his fingertips tapping lightly on the armrest, as if waiting for something.

"Supreme Demon King, everything is ready."

At the bottom of the steps, a demon knelt on one knee, her head bowed, her enormous bat wings pressed tightly against her back, and her pointed tail pointing downwards, all demonstrating her reverence for the man on the throne.

Upon hearing this, the Demon King nodded slightly at the chin, as if in response. He stood up, and around him, the dense, tangible magic fluctuated with his movements.

As he descended the steps of the throne, a long-lost excitement flickered in the Demon King's crimson eyes.

Compared to the demon's appearance, the Demon King's figure looked remarkably like a human.

He has no horns on his head, no tail behind him, no exaggerated wings, and his height is just that of a normal human.

At first glance, you might think he's just a good-looking boy.

This was no coincidence; the Demon King was human. Not only human, but also a human who had traveled from a place called 'Earth'.

With the advantage of time travel, he rose to prominence in one step. As for when he began to master dark magic, the Demon King couldn't remember due to the vast distance in time.

When he came to his senses, darkness had already corrupted him and turned him into a demon.

Gaining power comes at a price; the ominous darkness led to his ostracization by humanity.

After experiencing yet another betrayal from humans, the Demon King smashed his weapon and roared, "I'm no longer human!"

Then the Demon King became the Demon King, leading his demon army to conquer the empire. The highest-ranking demons at the pinnacle of power submitted to him, and the arrogant dragons had to bow down to him.

After conquering the world, the Demon King began to find it boring and tedious. He didn't want to get involved in the fighting and killing among the demons, and he couldn't be bothered with the final attack launched by the dying humans and the angels.

In his words, it's like saying, "I've already conquered this world," and "You guys play by yourselves; I'm not going to keep you company."

Bored out of his mind, the Demon King began researching spatial magic in his hell.

Finally, after ten thousand years of research, he found a way to travel to another world. To this end, he had his subordinates prepare a large amount of materials needed to activate magic.

At the bottom of Hell, on the ninth level, lies the Demon King's Palace, the very heart of Hell.

"Demon King, are you sure you want to activate this world-class magic?"

The speaker was a fallen angel with six wings. She was the apostle responsible for guarding the ninth level and also the leader of this ceremony.

"Rennie, there's no need to question our decision." The Demon King spoke calmly, raising his wrist as boundless magic flowed from his arm, climbing up into the magical device at the core of Hell.

"Lord of Hell, I have never intended to question you. It's just..." Renee hesitated slightly, "You must know the conditions for activating this magic; it's a time-travel spell that comes at the cost of the entire world..."

In short, this is a road of no return.

If the magic is activated, the world where the Demon King resides will be reduced to ashes. If the magic fails, the consequences are unimaginable.

"Let's begin, Renee." The Demon King clearly didn't want to say much more to the six-winged angel; his mind was already made up.

Instead of just drifting through life here, why not take a risk and go to another unknown world?

The Demon King was filled with anticipation for the next world he was about to conquer.

Ah, the new world... I wish the species there were a little stronger...

The storage device in the magic device is full, and all the conditions for activating the magic are met.

Renee sighed silently. She always had no choice but to do whatever the king asked of her. Even something as capricious and dangerous as this, Renee would not refuse.

She raised her arm along with the Demon King. Compared to the Demon King's adult hand, Renee's hand was much more delicate, looking almost the same size as a six or seven-year-old girl's hand.

Although she looks like a complete loli, Renee's age is measured in tens of thousands of years.

"All elements born on the continent of Garan, answer the ruler's call. With Garan Star as a sacrifice, teleport the Nine Hells to another dimension..."

"In the name of Mikayi Garan, I erase the surname Garan and, with the power of a ruler, activate the world-class grand magic <Dimensional Teleportation>."

A gentle yet fierce voice echoed from the depths of hell, as a world-class magic, never before revealed, was unleashed.

Beyond Hell, the creatures roaming the land suddenly felt their hair stand on end; orcs huddled on the ground, whimpering; the few remaining dragons in the caves raised their heads to look into the distance; human cubs burst into tears without warning; and the angels on the floating islands stared wide-eyed at the crimson moon…

"That bastard!"

"What tricks is Demon King Mikayi up to now?!"

The seraphim cursed under their breath. Although they didn't know what had happened, their instincts told them that this was an extremely terrifying and dangerous situation.

Angels swooped down from the floating island, rushing at full speed to Hell to stop the Demon King's plot.

Of course, they simply didn't have enough time...

Suddenly, with a crisp sound, the moon overhead shattered.

Golden sunlight streamed through the crack. The angels stopped what they were doing, folded their wings, and basked in the warmth of the sun.

It had been so long since they had seen the sun that the young angel didn't even know what it was. The warm light shone on their pure white wings, instantly illuminating their dim radiance.

The next second, the creatures bathed in the golden sun, like the crimson moon, turned into fragments.

A living life can be reduced to shreds in an instant, scattered by the wind.

Suddenly, cries of agony and despair filled the air.

Even if everyone were running, they couldn't outrun the speed of the sunlight; the golden sun left nothing in its wake.

Suddenly, the whole world fell silent. As if it had never existed.

In just a few minutes, the planet called Garan had vanished completely. In the silent darkness, only the nine layers of hell, leading straight to the bottom of the earth, remained floating there.

Zi—

After a slight sound, hell vanished.

001 The War That Began

Boom boom boom—

It was the sound of fortifications before the start of war, with the band members holding long sticks and striking their instruments.

These strangely shaped musical instruments are not ordinary. With each strike, magical power gradually takes shape, and the abilities of all the soldiers on the field are slightly enhanced.

"Your Highness Ariel, the entire army is ready."

The square formation at the end of the column is the royal army. Unlike ordinary soldiers, their primary mission is to protect the princess's safety.

Princess Ariel looked worried as she stared at the map spread out on the stone table, deep in thought.

The main objective of this campaign is to reclaim the 'Lost Swamp,' an inherent territory of the Ais Federation.

To the conquering Ang Empire, the Lost Swamp was merely territory they had seized casually on their conquest. But to the Ais Federation, the Lost Swamp was an inseparable part of their territory.

The lizardmen living in the 'Lost Swamp' are allies of the Ais Federation, which is determined to reclaim the swamp at any cost.

This is a long-planned war. The Federation of Ais has invested too much resources in this war, and it must win.

Otherwise, the Ais Federation will sooner or later fall into the hands of the Empire, with no chance of recovery.

Ariel's long blonde hair fell to her ears, sweat beaded on her forehead from nervousness, and her damp bangs clung to her brow.

Ariel bit her lower lip, pondered for a moment, and then made up her mind.

"Soldiers of the Ais Federation, listen to my command, advance!"
