Harrison's eyes sharpened.
Want to fight?
"Don't get agitated, don't get agitated. This is our first meeting, after all. How about we each take a step back?" Walter said, standing up.
An Ran smiled, her eyes narrowing: "You've misunderstood. I didn't mean to fight you."
An Ran pulled out a metal rod as thick as an arm, held it in her right hand, and walked slowly toward Caladotil.
Walter's eyelids twitched and his mouth twitched. "My goodness, you still say you don't want to fight them? You've even taken out your weapons and you still want to argue!"
She's about the same age as her daughter, so why is she so irritable and prone to hitting people at the slightest disagreement?
Clang!
Caladotil drew the knife from his waist.
“I really didn’t want to fight you.” An Ran extended her hand.
My name isn't actually Walter!
Walter rolled his eyes, gave Harrison a wink, and said that there was a limit to how much probing should go on. He then walked between Anran and Caladotil, about to speak.
An Ran spoke first: "Let's give it a try."
"Huh?" Caladotil was taken aback.
“Let’s see if this metal rod is thick and hard enough!” An Ran said.
Confused.
It feels like I'm driving.
“This is a really good product,” An Ran added. “It’s purer than what’s sold on the market, and its hardness meets most needs.”
“Ahem…” Nadia coughed lightly.
Caladotil took the metal rod, her gaze still fixed on Anran.
Aside from Ella, everyone looked at An Ran with curious eyes. Did she really not intend to fight? Or was she using this method to lower their guard so she could launch a surprise attack and take them all down?
The metal rod still had a comfortable temperature.
warm.
Caladotil didn't care about any of that. She stepped back a little, creating some distance between herself and Anran, otherwise she wouldn't have enough room to maneuver.
As An Ran said, the metal rod was indeed thick enough that even her hand could barely hold it, let alone An Ran's relatively small hands.
As for the hardness, Caladotil personally experienced it several times.
She held one end of the metal bar in each hand and slowly increased the force, twisting it.
扭!
Twist!!!
The straight metal rod didn't change at all despite her twisting; it was indeed hard!
But that's not enough; just being able to withstand her hand doesn't prove it's really hard.
Caladotil then slashed at it with his own knife.
Cut off, cut off!
Repeated rubbing didn't leave any scratches, even when she pressed down harder, there were still no scratches.
It's definitely tough.
No wonder she said this metal rod could meet most of her needs.
“You can try it too,” Anran said, turning to Harrison.
Harrison thought he had seen through Anran's plan. She was flexing her muscles. If neither he nor Caladotil could damage the metal rod, but she could, then her earlier show of force would have been meaningless.
Oh.
Having seen through it all, Harrison naturally wouldn't get involved himself. He simply shook his head and said, "I trust Kara's judgment."
“Do you want to give it a try?” Anran then said to Walter and Nadia.
Nadia raised her hand: "I'll give it a try."
Kara handed him the metal rod.
“Polcher alloy.” Nadia touched the metal rod up and down.
It is indeed a well-known high-strength metal.
He twisted it forcefully.
Sweat was starting to bead on his forehead, but the metal rod still showed no sign of bending.
"As expected, it didn't work, haha." He handed the metal rod back to An Ran.
Now it's your turn to perform.
Harrison rested his chin on his hands, not standing up, just staring at An Ran. Even he wasn't confident he could break such a thick piece of Polcher alloy, so what special skills did this light blue twin-tailed girl have?
He didn't believe An Ran had the ability to break it.
Ok.
An Ran certainly didn't have that ability, but she never intended to step forward and show off.
An Ran handed the Polcher alloy directly to Ella, then stepped aside.
ha?
Even the composed Harrison's eyes widened, and Anderson even let out a yelp.
An Ran found herself holding two cheerleading pom-poms.
Nadia: "(||?_?)"
Walter: "?_?"
Ella, who had caught the Polcher alloy, stood up. She wasn't much taller than the table, so for the sake of the performance, she stood directly on a stool.
This small stage, located in a revolving tea restaurant, rotates slowly.
Ella suddenly bowed, then placed her two small hands against one end of the metal rod.
"..."
Even Harrison couldn't help but hold his breath. An Ran dared to do this; there must be some trickery involved.
Cheating?
Ella's sleeves were rolled up, and I couldn't see anything on them, or anything on her palms.
"Go, go, Ella, go!"
"..."
“(* ̄︿ ̄)”
Both Sen and Dottier's faces darkened simultaneously.
Walter's Nadia didn't look much better.
Just as they were struggling with this, Ella "pulled her magic".
She clasped her hands together, and the thick, hard Polcher alloy metal rod actually softened.
ha?
The metal rod, which was as soft as noodles and about 30 centimeters long, was quickly reduced to only 20 centimeters by Ella. As time went on, the metal rod was finally pressed into a multi-layered pancake in Ella's hands.
“Σ(`д′*ノ)ノ”
“┌(。Д。)┐”
My eyes are about to pop out.
This is incredible! You have to understand that it's a huge Polcher alloy bar, as thick as an adult's arm!
So much so that they had no time to pay attention to An Ran's actions.
Even the slime of the King Worm would have difficulty corroding this metal rod.
And this isn't just about breaking it; it's something even more terrifying than breaking it!
Using both hands to apply force from the sides, the metal rod was pressed into a flat disc; this required a lot of effort...
Harrison dared not even imagine it; he swallowed hard.
Ella gently placed the "layer cake" on the table, bowed, and then jumped off the stool. Anran immediately used a colorful ball to wipe the stool for her.
The unusual noise finally alerted Anderson.
He yelled, "This can't be!" and then grabbed the mille-feuille pastry, holding it above his head: "You guys are definitely cheating! Either you've tampered with this metal rod, or she's put something on her hands!"
"Ha!" An Ran sneered. "I knew you would say that, which is why I had you check it first."
The colored balls have been put away.
“And her hand…” Anderson said.
“Look!” Ella stretched out her hand and opened it.
It looks like there's nothing there.
"let me see……"
Anderson was about to extend his right hand.
"Clang!"
An Ran drew her sword immediately.
"You actually tried to molest my sister! Believe me or not, I'll stab your head off with this sword!"
Anderson took a step back. An Ran was so agitated; there must be something wrong.
"You didn't dare show it to me, so it seems there really is one..."
"Get out of the way!" Kara shoved Anderson aside. "Let me check if everything's okay, shall I?"
