Chapter 526 Stephen's Understanding

Stephen sensed the disappointment in Tony's eyes and felt deeply ashamed.

He wanted to refute, to prove that his abilities went beyond that, but he was powerless to refute.

Unless he uses the Eye of Akomodo beforehand, he simply doesn't have the power to fight Tony Stark.

Tony Stark's power clearly originates from the Void God Kassadin.

This power was far stronger and more mysterious than he had imagined.

So Stephen used his Levitation Cloak to fly inside, intending to take a closer look.

"The Ancient One deliberately died, and then hid many things from you, or rather, from your Kamar-Taj."

"However, these are matters for your Kamar-Taj, so I won't say anything."

Tony saw Stephen return to his original position and spoke up.

He already knew in his heart how to get Stephen to pay attention to the Cult of the Void.

However, he also secretly lamented that the Ancient One was really unkind, hiding so many things from Stephen.

"Did Gu Yi die intentionally?"

Stephen was shocked by what he heard, and his eyes widened.

"Of course."

"Although I don't really know how the Ancient One died either."

"However, the Ancient One was a top-tier powerhouse in the universe and possessed an eternal lifespan."

"If she hadn't deliberately sought death, there probably wouldn't be many powerful beings in the entire universe capable of killing her."

"Lord Kassadin also said so."

"The Ancient One has protected the magical world of Earth for many years and has witnessed too much suffering."

"Her heart and body had been weary over the past thousand years, and she wanted to seek liberation from this world, so she actively sought death."

Tony replied matter-of-factly.

"Gu Yi told me that she had experienced a lot of suffering, but she never said that she deliberately sought death."

Upon hearing Tony's words, Stephen recalled the conversation he had with the Ancient One and spoke up.

Neither he nor the many sorcerers of Kamar-Taj knew that the Ancient One had deliberately sought death.

However, it seems that some people already knew that the Ancient One was about to die.

At least Kassadin, the god of the void, clearly already knew about it.

"Lord Kassadin, the God of the Void, had the following opinion on the Ancient One."

"She has always lived for others and protected the planet to the best of her ability."

"She has always longed to find a successor who is worthy of the title of Sorcerer Supreme."

"But because it could not be found, it had to prolong its life."

"After finding someone whose talent and character are suitable to be the Sorcerer Supreme, that is you."

"Only then could she leave this world in peace."

"So I can understand why you might be hiding things from me."

Tony spoke up upon hearing this.

"Yes, I can understand that."

"But from what you're saying, it seems that the Ancient One knew Kassadin, the God of the Void?"

Stephen's eyes flickered slightly when he heard Kassadin's assessment of the Ancient One, and he nodded.

"I don't know if I can say I know them."

"The Ancient One, the Sorcerer Supreme, is a powerful figure whose strength is unimaginable to countless people."

"However, to Lord Kassadin, she can only be considered a junior."

I don't know if they've had any contact with each other.

"However, it is absolutely impossible for the Ancient One to take the initiative to attack Lord Kassadin."

"Let's not even talk about whether Lord Kassadin had the intention to destroy Earth and actively make enemies of the Ancient One."

"The main problem is that the Ancient One was unable to deal with Lord Kassadin, the God of the Void."

Tony didn't give any definite assurances, but only shared some things he knew.

"So what exactly is Kassadin, the God of the Void?"

Stephen learned that the Ancient One did not attack Kassadin when she was alive, which made him understand a lot and led him to ask another question that had been on his mind.

"Lord Kassadin's strength is unfathomable, and the Void Cult he founded has only existed for less than ten years."

"It has already become the most famous force in the universe."

"The members are located in various parts of the universe."

"There are other members of the Void God Cult in the Nine Realms, and I am just one of them."

"Therefore, I also cannot define what Lord Kassadin, the God of the Void, wants to do."

"However, what I do know is that Lord Kassadin, the God of the Void, has no intention of destroying everything."

Tony said slowly upon hearing this.

"Perhaps there really is such a possibility."

Stephen's eyes flickered when he saw Tony's confident tone, recalling the scene where Kassadin drove Dormammu away.

"Actually, you don't need to think too much about it."

"Wait until you truly witness just how powerful Lord Kassadin is."

"You'll then know what it means if Lord Kassadin wants to destroy everything in the universe."

"Then you, as the weak, have no room to resist."

"So instead of trying every possible way to fight Lord Kassadin, just live your life honestly."

"When disaster truly strikes, there's no escaping it; just pray it doesn't happen."

Tony noticed the hesitation and consideration in Stephen's eyes and spoke up.

Stephen had already realized how strong Kassadin was yesterday; he was a being that transcended time and space.

Furthermore, Kassadin can travel directly within the universe.

Therefore, he didn't think about how to make an enemy of such a being; he just wanted to learn more.

"Apart from you joining the Void God Cult, are there any other people in the Nine Realms?"

However, Stephen learned that Tony was not the only member of the Void Cult in the Nine Realms, and he became interested in making contact with them.

Tony smiled when he saw that Stephen had taken the bait.

"I can tell you, but are you sure your mouth is sealed tight enough?"

"If you expose yourself before we've even shown it to the outside world."

"You should know what the outcome will be, right?"

Tony smiled, but his words were filled with warning and murderous intent.

The implication is that Stephen cannot even tell anyone about Tony's existence.

"I didn't tell anyone that I came to see you."

"I understand the rule that it cannot be revealed."

Stephen was not intimidated by Tony's somewhat threatening words; he had come prepared.

“I also have my wife, Pepper Potts.”

"The Hulk Bruce Banner, Captain America Steve Rogers and his wife Peggy Carter."

Tony knew Stephen wouldn't be foolish enough to throw his life away, so he spoke up.

When Stephen heard Tony mention these people, aside from Peggy Carter whom he didn't know, several other figures immediately came to mind.

"The ones you mentioned are all from Earth. You just mentioned the Nine Realms, so there must be more than just these few."

However, since Tony mentioned the Nine Realms, Stephen knew that these individuals were definitely not all of them.

"Odin, the king of the gods, Frigga, the queen of the gods, and their two sons, Thor and Loki, were also members of the Cult of the Void."

"Lord Kassadin, the God of the Void, and Miss Sonia, the Envoy of the Void, have no intention of ruling the Nine Realms."

"So Earth is mainly governed, protected, and developed by me, Steve, Banner, and the others."

"The Nine Realms are protected by Thor and Loki."

Upon hearing this, Tony also mentioned several other important figures in the Nine Realms.

Stephen wasn't too shocked to hear that Steve and the others were familiar with Tony.

Stephen was startled when he heard that Odin and his family had joined Asgard.

"The entire family of Odin, the King of Gods, has joined the Cult of the Void?"

"So that means Asgard has also been incorporated into the Cult of the Void?"

Although Gu Yi hid a lot from him, it was clearly recorded in the books.

The gods of Asgard can be considered guardians of the material realm of Earth.

The reason I say "barely" is because Stephen remembers that the book records Asgard protecting the Earth as something that happened many years ago.

Odin hasn't descended to Earth for many years, but Thor and Loki did come down to help during the Battle of New York a few years ago.

“Mr. Odin would like to have all the soldiers of Asgard join the Cult of the Void and receive the blessing of the Void.”

"But this is not something that Mr. Odin can sit on simply because he wants to."

"Only with the permission of Lord Kassadin, the God of the Void, and Miss Sonia, the Envoy of the Void, can one receive more Void Blessings."
