Lacey spoke up upon hearing this.

“I felt that too. I can understand if most people don’t know about the Void God Cult.”

"But it seems rather unusual that they didn't know anything about us and directly targeted us."

Upon hearing this, Steve analyzed the situation with a serious expression.

The Void God Cult they belong to, while not currently the most prestigious power in the Andromeda Galaxy (the most prestigious being the Xandar Empire's Nova Legion), is already renowned throughout the universe.

Normally, even people who are not from the Andromeda Galaxy should have heard of the Void God Cult to some extent.

Anyone who has heard of it will understand that the Void God Cult is not to be trifled with.

But these guys seemed completely unaware of the situation, and even launched attacks on their own initiative on several occasions.

Although it only caused them some trouble and no danger, it was a minor matter that didn't really matter.

But normal people are at risk of death, while these guys seem to be risking their lives.

"Could it be that Thanos instructed them to do this?"

Tony had certainly wondered why all of these guys were attacking him.

While xenophobia is a possibility, they were merely passing through and did not directly visit these planets of different civilizations, nor did they show any intention to invade their civilizations.

Even if they are xenophobic, they shouldn't prohibit outsiders from passing through here.

Therefore, Tony is more inclined to believe that someone gave instructions to these so-called gods and kings.

The most likely candidate for that person is Thanos, whose power is among the highest in the universe.

"That's a possibility, but since these people weren't Thanos's subordinates before..."

"So it's only been a year or two, and he probably won't become Thanos's subordinate."

"In a galaxy, the number of top-level experts in the universe is definitely very small."

"But among the billions of living beings in the universe, especially in such a chaotic and mixed place, there must be one or two top experts in charge."

"As two of the strongest beings in the universe, they may not give Thanos any face."

As she spoke, Lacey was also manipulating the space communicator to investigate the distribution of some forces in the vicinity.

Lacey didn't care about the power in this area, because they were just passing through.

If all goes well, you can travel through more than twenty wormholes and leave directly. This distance can be covered in just a few hours.

However, the people in this area now clearly regard them as enemies. If they don't know this in advance, although they are not afraid of danger, it will cause some trouble.

Lacey is investigating, and so is Madam Butterfly.

Soon, Lady Butterfly used the intelligence network from all over the universe in the Void to investigate some useful information.

"We've investigated; there are many different gods or kings in this cosmic region."

"However, the one who is truly said to be the strongest is a guy named Kark, the god of the underworld, who is rumored to be able to manipulate death."

"His strength is currently unknown, but being able to rule over so many planetary-level and cosmic-level powerhouses, he is most likely a top-tier powerhouse in the universe."

"Many who have traversed this region have heard of his reputation."

Lacey controls mostly information from the world of light, with a small amount of information from the world of darkness mixed in.

Lady Butterfly, on the other hand, had complete control over the intelligence network of the dark world.

It's not about investigating recent clues or events; it's quite easy to investigate rumors about certain forces.

"Manipulate death? Does that mean he can bring people back to life and grant them immortality, just like the Grandmaster?"

Upon hearing about this ability, Tony immediately thought of the Grandmaster who had previously caused great trouble for the Void Cult.

There are no rumors about granting immortality, but it is said that he can control death.

Upon hearing this, Madam Butterfly shook her head and spoke.

The High Celestial Venerable is a top-tier powerhouse in the universe, a being who even the Celestial Race dares to challenge, and whose name resounds throughout the universe.

If this god of the underworld possessed even a fraction of the power of the Celestial Venerable, he wouldn't be stuck in such a remote and obscure place.

They probably have considerable strength, but they're nowhere near that abnormal level.

Does that mean he might order something to be done against us?

Banner breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing that it was unlikely to be as strong as the Grandmaster, but after a moment's thought, he spoke.

“A person like him would definitely know more about the Andromeda Galaxy and be aware of the reputation of the Void God Cult.”

"Unless they are looking to die, they are unlikely to attack our Void God Cult."

"These are just minor incidents; they're not enough to warrant suspicion and going directly to their door."

"However, knowing who the boss is here will make things easier when we meet in the future."

Let's take it one step at a time and see.

Kyle spoke up.

He would show no mercy to his enemies, but he wouldn't go so far as to kill someone simply because of some suspicions or doubts in his mind.

“Okay, Jarvis, keep going.”

"If we get through this area quickly, we'll be safe."

Tony never considered killing the enemy because of suspicion.

Ideally, they would avoid any further trouble and could simply find Thanos in this area, defeat him, and return home.

Jarvis was just replacing the warship's reactor with a fully powered one.

Fighting against eight thousand fighter jets, even though he wasn't the one firing, the energy shield still consumed a lot of energy just by defending against them.

After the change was completed, Jarvis had no objections after hearing Mr. Tony's instructions and continued driving.

Meanwhile, on a green planet 30,000 light-years away from Tony and his companions.

A group of menacing-looking people with different appearances were sitting around a round table.

"After confirmation, this group of people is indeed from the Void God Cult."

"The thousand fighter jets I sent out have been destroyed, and I request to withdraw from the next phase of the plan."

A figure resembling a lizard, covered in crimson scales and nearly two meters tall even when seated, spoke with a fierce glint in his eyes.

"Fire Dragon, Thanos gave each of us money worth at least three thousand fighter jets. Aren't you afraid Thanos will come after you if you quit now?"

An elderly man with pale blue skin and loose skin, who looked like an old blue tree, spoke in a slow, aged voice.

"I have to make some of the money Thanos gave me."

"Moreover, all Thanos asked us to do was to intercept them and give them some time to notify Thanos, and I have done that."

"And if I don't stop, I'm afraid it won't just be Thanos who's going to settle scores with us."

"The Void God Cult will not let me go."

"I'm just trying to earn some extra money, I'm not looking to die."

"If you want to die, then continue to work for him."

Upon hearing this, the fire dragon exhaled a breath mixed with flames.

"Since you've chosen to withdraw, then I'll withdraw too."

A silver-haired noblewoman with a voluptuous figure and alluring eyes, covered in silver feathers, spoke.

"Who would have thought that someone of Lord Kark's rank would be hunted down so badly?"

A man with a burly build and an appearance like that of an Andromeda galaxy wore a mocking expression.

“King Pace, all you can do is yell like that. Do you think I don’t know how you fawn over Thanos in private?”

"I've never seen anyone so embarrassing."

A man with purple skin, a somewhat sinister appearance, and three eyes on his face scoffed upon hearing these words.

"Three-eyed guy, spying in private is not a good habit."

"Are you looking for death?"

The man known as King Pace, his true colors exposed, turned pale and then his face darkened as he spoke in a cold voice.

"If you're so capable, then go ahead and try."

"Your manipulation of gravity failed to defeat me three thousand years ago, do you think you can defeat me now?"

"Who gave you the guts?"

The purple-skinned man, known as the Three-Eyed Man, showed no fear and said with a cold laugh.

Those present were all cosmic-level powerhouses, beyond the reach of even the most powerful beings in the universe.

While this level of skill might allow one to do well in the Andromeda Galaxy, it wouldn't be as comfortable as living in such a remote place.

"Alright, alright, we're all just trying to make a living here."

"The territory was previously determined and divided under the witness of Lord Kark."

"I'm just doing this because of pressure, and I'm forced to do a little favor to earn some extra money."

"It's time to stop when it's time to stop."

"It's just a matter of taking some life-saving measures."

A completely transparent woman spoke, calming the tense atmosphere.

People who frequent such places and hold high positions are certainly familiar with some of the famous figures in the surrounding star systems, even if they haven't had formal dealings with them.

They couldn't afford to offend the Void Cult, nor did they want to take action against them, but Thanos personally came to them asking for their help.

Helping them might offend the Void God Cult and bring about death; not helping them would mean dying on the spot six months ago.

They were all people who valued their lives, so naturally they had no choice but to lend a hand.

After Thanos, you could say they were all there but not really contributing, but you can't say they didn't help at all.

At least not long ago, they had already informed Thanos that the Cult of the Void had begun its operations.
