"Think it over carefully... Jiang Yuetian!"

The dark spear suddenly collided with the tip of Jiang Yuetian's spear. The collision of demonic energy and spiritual energy made the space around the two of them instantly become extremely cold. Tiny frost crystals appeared out of thin air, like stars suddenly appearing as the night sky was unveiled.

Jiang Yuetian suddenly felt a heavy weight on his hands, his center of gravity was pressed down by Jiang Shengxuan's unreasonable force, the soil beneath his feet suddenly collapsed, and the blood in the orifices of his thin body gradually rose into a blood-red mist due to the molten lava.

Jiang Shengxuan's eyes widened, and he laughed wildly, shouting sharply:

"Why were you born with the destiny of a cultivator, yet your spiritual root is a late bloomer? Your family clearly provided you with countless resources, but before you turned ten, you showed absolutely no signs of awakening?"

"Why was it that you were born into the Jiang family, a blessed land of mountains and rivers, someone who should have been blessed with good fortune, yet you have such terrible luck, even being called a jinx? A symbol of bad luck?"

"Why is everything around you disappearing in different ways? Your maids have changed one after another. Were they really replaced intentionally by the Jiang family? Your gambling buddies have left in batches. Have they really all quit gambling?"

"Why did the Jiang family eventually perish? Why did your Yuntian Academy also collapse? Why did the people around you suffer misfortune one after another?"

There is only one answer...

Jiang Shengxuan excitedly looked at Jiang Yuetian's bewildered and shocked expression and then uttered the answer.

"Because of Jiang Yuetian—"

……

"You are not Jiang Huaru's biological son at all!"

"You are the illegitimate son of the Jiang family! You are a cursed star born of heaven and earth! You are a person cursed by the great laws of heaven and earth!"

"If it weren't for your biological mother, who was a concubine, pleading with the head of the family before she died, you would have been thrown off a cliff shortly after your birth and perished at the bottom of the cliff, where no one would know!"

"Yes, in your life... you will bring misfortune to your wife, children, friends, teachers, students, and relatives... Of all the people in the world, you are the most unlucky. Anyone who has even the slightest connection with you will be accompanied by misfortune in this lifetime, and some will even worse..."

"Then they will be wiped out like the Jiang family!"

"You're a cursed star, Jiang Yuetian!"

……

Jiang Yuetian's hand holding the gun trembled violently with shock.

The next instant, the demonic energy on the dark red spear erupted into a dark ring, and the terrifying impact sent Jiang Yuetian flying.

The latter vomited a mouthful of blood, flew backwards for several meters like a kite with a broken string, and then slid along the ground for a few more distances before finally coming to a stop.

Jiang Yuetian, hunched over, coughed violently. Just as he was about to get up, the sharp tip of the gun was pressed against his throat.

Jiang Shengxuan placed one foot on Jiang Yuetian's chest, looking down at him condescendingly.

Jiang Yuetian gritted her teeth, wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth with her left hand, and said angrily, "Do you think I would believe such a thing?"

"Are you telling me the truth, or have you never thought about these issues?"

Jiang Yuetian: "..."

How could he not have thought of that?

But... how could something like a cursed lone star possibly exist?

"Your life will be a lonely one, without father or mother, without relatives or friends, without wife or children... All those who dare to get close to you will eventually face a day of despair."

"Just like... that junior sister you dote on."

"!!!"

Jiang Yuetian's spiritual energy within his orifices seemed to be subjected to intense pressure. Suddenly, his meridians were filled with molten lava, his blood vessels became extremely hot, and the blood mist within his orifices became several times denser.

His eyes even turned bloodshot: "If you dare to do anything to Yuan'er, I will never let you off the hook."

"I?"

Jiang Shengxuan smiled and spread his hands: "I won't do anything. On the contrary, it's you. Your very existence will cause that little girl named Lin Yuan to die a violent death... Not only her, but everyone around you, everyone in Yuntian Academy, will die because of you."

"Imagine... years later, you stand before rows of tombstones, each bearing the name of your favorite junior brothers and sisters, and all that remains of the entire academy is your image..."

"Just thinking about it makes me feel so comfortable."

After speaking.

Jiang Shengxuan seemed to find it boring, so he took a few steps back and at the same time returned the dark red spear to the void.

He glanced at Jiang Yuetian lying on the ground and sneered:

"If you don't believe me, you can try. I'd rather see you keep losing important people and end up all alone..."

"Then, when you are at your most desperate, they will come and take your life."

"I'm really looking forward to that day, Jiang Yuetian."

Jiang Shengxuan gave a wicked laugh, then turned and vanished completely into the darkness.

The surrounding demonic energy quickly disappeared... Jiang Shengxuan had completely left this area.

On the scorched earth, under the moonlight, the purple-haired beauty wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth, used her spear to support her body, and barely managed to stand up.

He gazed in the direction Jiang Shengxuan had gone, Jiang Shengxuan's words echoing in his ears.

A cursed lone star.

Those closest to me will all die tragically...

Not only was the Jiang family destroyed, but even the teacher was trapped in that unknown realm, and Ruoxue's Jinglin Village was massacred... Gu Xingzhuo's past life tribulations...

Could it all be related to me...?

It's all his fault...?

"How could something like that possibly happen..."

With a complicated expression, Jiang Yuetian lowered his head, gritted his teeth, and breathed heavily as he put the spear into his storage ring. Then, clutching his aching right arm, he staggered toward the courtyard house on the mountaintop.

Jiang Yuetian did not notice that the newly installed gate of the courtyard house already had a slight crack.

Inside that crack, peering out through the door, were scarlet eyes.

The petite girl didn't say anything, but silently sewed the small door shut. Then she put on the brownish-red cloak, returned to the stone table, lay down, and continued to pretend to be fast asleep.

57. The Lonely Waiter

Heavy snow, frost and cold.

Cangyue City.

The wind outside was colder than I had imagined, as if an ice blade was piercing through my clothes and sliding down my back with its tip. Even though the sun was shining brightly in the azure sky, its brief and weak warmth could not dispel the frost that made me shiver.

Through the windows, the people of Cangyue City could see snowflakes, seemingly appearing out of thin air, fluttering down like magnificent goose feathers, formed from pure white ice crystals.

No two snowflakes are exactly alike, just as no two people are exactly alike.

Unlike those who appreciate the snow scene from inside a warm house, the silver-haired girl, her feet treading on the soft snow, is in the midst of the biting wind and heavy snowfall.

Are there no two people who are exactly alike...?

The girl slightly raised her hand, using her slightly cold palm to hold up the frost flower that fell from the sky. As she watched the snow slowly melt away in her palm, a dark cloud slowly settled over her eyes.

Each snowflake falls from top to bottom. From birth to landing, although they are essentially the same, their shapes change a lot. Even if they look the same, their experiences are different.

A snowflake flying alone is lonely, but each one's experience is unique.

Humans, like snow, should be lonely and unique.

"Whether one is peerless or not, I don't know; but I am quite clear about loneliness."

The silver-haired girl lowered her hands helplessly, let out a long sigh, raised her head, and looked at the vast expanse of white snow.

Within Cangyue City, there was no one she knew, nor any force she was familiar with; everything was completely foreign to Ye Yuchan.

It was as if she were the only person in the vast Cangyue City.

This feeling was exactly like when she first came to this world.

Feeling lost, fearful, and indecisive.

There were no relatives, no friends... nothing at all. The only companions she had were the terrifying wolf howls and rustling ghostly shadows of the Thousand Ghost Forest at night.

She herself didn't know how she got out of that Thousand Ghost Forest. It was already a miracle that she survived, let alone being chosen by a sect like Tianbei Valley.

After being selected to enter Tianbei Valley, she felt as if she had found a home, because there were people she could talk to and friends she could chat with. Although they couldn't understand much of what she said, the feeling of being able to talk to people was infinitely better than being alone in the Thousand Ghost Forest.

She regarded that place as her home, her second home.

result……

She was nearly killed by her family.

The silver-haired girl lost her home again, for the second time.

If she hadn't met Yun Ping, Ye Yuchan would probably be a cold corpse by now, with nothing left. She wouldn't have met Yun Ping, much less Ruoxue... she would just be a cultivator who died under the secret of Tianbei Valley.

So she was actually very grateful to Yunping, not only because that old rogue saved him, but also because that old rogue gave Ye Yuchan a place to belong, a place she couldn't bear to leave.

What now?

She lost her home, and the person who gave her that home... is gone too.

Overnight, it was as if her home had collapsed, the sky had fallen and the earth had cracked. The silver-haired girl's second home in this world, her third home in this life, the beautiful life she thought would last forever... suddenly vanished.

Ye Yuchan turned back into a human being.

She hated this feeling of loneliness.

Walking through the deserted streets of Cangyue City, braving the snow, her feet treading on the snow-covered stone pavement, Ye Yuchan couldn't see what lay at the end of the street, but she had nowhere else to go, so she could only move forward alone.

Keep walking, keep walking, until that person comes back.

She didn't know if she could live to see that day. Perhaps by the time that person returned, she would have died from some accident, or perhaps she would never see that person return at all.

So... how do we do it?

The silver-haired girl's steps suddenly stopped.

Suddenly, she smelled a rich aroma of wine. She turned to the side and saw a magnificent and splendid restaurant standing in Cangyue City. The building had three floors, each shimmering with an unusually ambiguous light.

The rich aroma of wine wafts from it.
