Chapter 51 Simplicity is the Best

Leaving Amagi's room, Black Flying Dragon and his companion followed the side hall corridor to the back of the shrine. There was a small courtyard there, with houses on either side, but they were separated by passageways and not by chains.

Connect them together.

"This is it."

Yamashiro led the Black Flying Dragon to the room facing the courtyard and opened the door.

"Thank you."

Black Flying Dragon went into the room and took a look. It was also a Japanese-style room, but this one was more for guests, with additional closets on both sides.

"Okay~ If you encounter any problems, you can come to us."

Yamashiro stood outside the door, talking while stealing glances at Black Flying Dragon.

"I understand... Um, is there something you need to tell me?"

After looking around the room, Hei Feilong turned around and saw Shancheng staring straight at him. Startled, he asked in a low voice.

"Oh, my apologies. Actually, I heard from a friend that you can... do magic tricks."

When asked, Yamashiro immediately looked away, but soon cast an expectant glance at Black Flying Dragon again.

"Skills tricks, huh?"

Black Flying Dragon muttered to herself, already guessing who this friend was.

After a moment's thought, Black Dragon stretched out his right hand, causing a slight distortion in the surrounding space.

Ring~

A bell rang, and a black cat jumped from behind the black dragon onto her shoulder, then landed on her arm and elegantly licked its front paws.

"Kitty?"

Yamashiro's eyes widened. She was certain there were no cats here, let alone cats with bells tied to their tails.

Black Dragon smiled and flung the cat off his arm.

hiss!

The black cat was so frightened that it rolled in the air and landed on the tatami mat, revealing a fierce expression to the black dragon.

Before the black cat could react, it was picked up by a pair of hands.

"Wow, amazing! It's just like a real cat."

Shancheng rubbed her little face against the black cat, somewhat surprised.

Hibiki had told her that there was a black dragon in Donghuang who could turn stones into birds, but she never expected that this time it could turn into a cat.

"This cat can only stay here for half an hour; after that, it will return to its original spot."

Black Dragon warned that her creation skills were relatively weak; she could only create things according to her own image, and their existence was very short, making perpetuity impossible.

"Thank you!"

Upon hearing this, Yamashiro, holding the cat, bowed to the Black Flying Dragon and ran away happily.

"..."

Black Flying Dragon walked to the door and watched the mountain city disappear. She felt that there might be more rumors about her here than she had imagined.

Composing herself, Black Flying Dragon looked at the courtyard. The courtyard was surrounded by houses on three sides, and directly opposite her room was a wall with an arched doorway in the middle. Opposite the doorway seemed to be a grove of trees, with many branches sprouting out.

"Let's take a short walk."

Black Flying Dragon looked at the sky. She had actually slept quite well last night, since she was right next to the nest she had built.

Hei Feilong closed the door, walked down the corridor, and strolled to the archway. He glanced around and saw that this was indeed the tree garden. Most of the trees near this area were cherry blossom trees, and even the thinnest ones were a size thicker than her October cherry blossoms. However, it was not the season for cherry blossoms to bloom, and many branches were bare, so they were not very pretty.

Do the cherry blossom trees depicted in anime really exist?

Black Flying Dragon strolled leisurely through the woods along the path. The reason she liked cherry blossoms was because she watched a lot of anime; she was a long-time anime fan.

After walking around for a while, she noticed other trees planted there that Black Dragon didn't recognize, but that didn't stop her from appreciating them.

Once she settles down on the other side of the bay, she'll have a big yard where she can plant trees, and she'll need to find lots of pretty flowers and plants.

"Senior Black Flying Dragon?"

As Black Flying Dragon was staring at a tree with multiple colors, someone passing by noticed her.

"Ah, my wife, do you know what this tree is called?"

Black Dragon glanced sideways and saw a beautiful woman with long black hair walking across the lawn.

"Hey, does this look like a rainbow eucalyptus tree?"

My wife was taken aback, looked at the tree that Black Flying Dragon was pointing to, thought for a moment, and said.

"That's amazing."

Black Flying Dragon stroked her chin, still thinking it was some mischievous kid who had painted it.

"Did you encounter the Sirens after I disappeared yesterday?"

After noting down the tree's name, Black Flying Dragon looked at my wife.

"After the fog cleared, we encountered some Sirens, but they weren't particularly strong. Senior, were you teleported to another place?"

My wife looked at the girl in front of her. Only by experiencing it firsthand could she know the influence of this person.

It's hard to imagine how one would react if a Siren were to specifically target a single person.

"Haha, yes, we fell for the Sirens' trick without even realizing it. We should be more careful when traveling at sea in the future."

Black Dragon smiled sheepishly. She considered herself to be very sensitive to space, yet she hadn't reacted at all when the Sirens took her away, which was really beneath her usual standards.

But these sirens are outrageous; they're specifically targeting her. Why don't they dare to mess with Shinano?

"Yes, we still have a lot to learn, and we hope to be able to fight alongside our seniors as soon as possible."

My wife smiled gently.

"More importantly, my wife, do you know where the exit is?"

Black Flying Dragon's eyes flickered slightly as he looked around and asked.

"Well, I'm going this way. I wonder if you're going in the same direction as me, senior."

My wife pointed in a direction.

Upon hearing this, Black Flying Dragon mentioned his residence, and Wu's wife excitedly revealed that she and North Wind also lived there.

The two hit it off immediately, my wife

They began to lead the black dragon.

Before long, the two returned to their small courtyard.

"This is my room, and the north wind blows beside it."

My wife pointed to the two rooms on the right and said.

"here."

Black Dragon pointed to his room.

"Yes, you just arrived today. If you don't mind, I can show you around for a bit."

My wife glanced at Black Flying Dragon's room, then turned her gaze back to Black Flying Dragon.

"Then I'll trouble you. But please don't keep calling me senior. I just came into this world a little earlier than you."

Black Flying Dragon felt a little lightheaded after being called "senior" by my wife a few times, so he quickly corrected her.

Both in personality and appearance, Azuma is very much in line with Black Flying Dragon's aesthetic, so she prefers that the two be treated as equals.

"Hmm, then... the Black Flying Dragon?"

My wife hesitated for a moment, then tentatively called out.

"Well, let's go."

Feeling comfortable, the black dragon strode forward.

My wife glanced at the road to the left and followed the black dragon.

With Azuma's help, Black Flying Dragon took a long detour to reach the entrance of the shrine. Looking up, he saw Akagi and Kaga helping themselves down the torii gate, with Little Yellow Chicken holding the ladder below, and several destroyers watching nearby.

"So simple."

Black Flying Dragon expressed his feelings.

Chapter 52 Judging people by their appearance is unacceptable, unless it's extremely absurd.

"Let's go."

He took out his phone to record this precious moment, and then Black Flying Dragon took a step to walk around it.

Although Black Flying Dragon and his group went through the torii gate when they entered, this shrine is actually an open building with many small paths leading out.

"Black Flying Dragon, don't you get along well with Senior Akagi and the others?"

My wife followed Black Flying Dragon with some curiosity.

"It's not that we have a bad relationship, it's just that it's a bit difficult to communicate with each other."

Black Flying Dragon slowed his pace, admiring the flower clusters that blocked the main path.

"Hmm."

My wife thought about it for a moment, and realized that Akagi's words were indeed strange.

"Speaking of which, where did the North Wind go?"

Black Dragon asked casually.

"There are destroyers of the same type as the North Wind here. The North Wind went out on patrol with them."

My wife walked along the roadside and reached out to touch a flower in a cluster of flowers. Although it was a very subtle touch, Black Flying Dragon could still detect in her voice a feeling that was neither gratified nor lonely.
