Crossing the azure as a black dragon

Kaga glanced at the two of them, then turned and began to lead the way.
Entering from the foyer, you find yourself in a perfectly normal hall. However, the walls of this hall are adorned with ten screens of varying sizes, each displaying a different scene. In front of the screen, Amagi is sitting on a sofa, holding a cup of tea and watching the screen, while Akagi leans against the side with a look of annoyance.
Black Flying Dragon stepped forward to greet them, then sat down on a single sofa and looked at the screen. The screen displayed an overhead view of the sea, with ten screens showing ten small battlefields where ship girls and sirens were engaged in fierce battles. The largest screen in the center showed the sirens fighting against a port area. Sitting here felt like watching a war movie.
Is this satellite surveillance?
After watching for a while, Black Flying Dragon tentatively asked a question.
"On the surface, our combat strength is inferior to that of the Sirens, but in terms of key technology, we are not far behind."
Amagi took a sip of tea and answered the questions in a calm and unhurried manner.
"Hmm? If that's the case, then when I was attacked by a space-based weapon a while ago, was it a human weapon or a Siren weapon?"
Black Flying Dragon glanced sideways.
Amagi didn't say anything, but Akagi looked over in surprise.
"...The situation in that port area seems dire. Is there any support?"
Black Dragon paused for a moment, then steered the conversation toward the situation on the screen.
Viewing the battle from a god's-eye view, although the smoke had an effect, the general situation was still visible. For example, in the middle of the battle, the defending side's firepower was clearly weakening, while the Sirens were still gathering. The situation in the port area was even worse, with the entire island engulfed in flames. I wonder if the commander inside is alright.
"Our capabilities are limited, and we cannot take care of all areas. Most of the combat personnel in this port area have already been evacuated, so the losses will not be too great."
Akagi waved his hand casually.
"Since we can observe the movements of the Sirens on the Sea, can we use this to deploy personnel on the battlefield?"
Black Flying Dragon glanced at the ship girl who was still fighting back and frowned as he spoke.
"It's difficult."
Kaga replied.
"The appearance of the Sirens is sudden for ship girls who are out on missions, but they can conduct large-scale reconnaissance in the port area and choose to retreat or fight to the death in advance. The battlefield is constantly changing, and it is a clumsy approach to try to intervene by observing it from the outside."
Azure Dragon also spoke up from the side.
Black Flying Dragon frowned even more. It was called the command center, but it didn't seem to do anything related to command.
"Observe the battlefield and the Sirens' movements."
Tiancheng spoke up to remind him.
Upon hearing this, Black Dragon carefully observed the Sirens' movements on the central screen. Based on her previous experience conducting a thorough search in Donghuang, there were at least three Sirens strongholds around the attacked port area; otherwise, it would be difficult for so many Sirens to gather and launch an attack in such a short time.
Assuming there are three strongholds, we can deduce their movements, frequency of appearance, and speed by working backwards…
"If this port falls, the Sirens' stronghold is very likely to change."
"Black Flying Dragon said."
“That’s right, but it’s enough if we can deduce the Sirens’ point of attack before the battle ends.”
Amagi smiled slightly.
"You're quite capable."
Akagi narrowed his fox eyes slightly and praised Black Flying Dragon.
"Thank you for the compliment. What's next?"
Black Flying Dragon closed her eyes; she already knew what was going on.
Akagi glanced at Kaga, who then took out a tablet-like device and entered the information. A projection appeared on the ceiling, and a map appeared in front of each of the five people present.
"Circle it."
Kaga spoke up.
Black Dragon opened his eyes, scanned the map in front of him, and drew four circles on it.
The other four also quickly completed their demarcation. After being controlled, the five projections were overlapped, and after a moment of blurring, five marks that might be Siren strongholds appeared.
Five places?
Black Dragon opened its eyes wide.
"Our actions are based on prediction, and there is no such thing as 100% accuracy. We should mark out all possible dangers, and caution will never be outdated."
Amagi explained with a light laugh.
"Been taught a lesson."
Black Dragon nodded.
She felt quite confused; she wanted to be cautious, but she acted recklessly, and her confidence was always in a Schrödinger's cat state.
"However, even if we figure it out, we won't be able to get there in time. Could someone possibly solve these supply points?"
Black Flying Dragon changed the subject and looked at the screen.
"While surface troops in some port areas cannot go to sea, what about underwater troops?"
Amagi said with a smile.
Chapter Fifty-Seven: Whispering Conspiracy
While Amagi and Black Dragon were talking, Kaga had already processed the map and transmitted it to the others.
The battle on the main screen was still ongoing. Black Dragon focused her attention on the five Siren strongholds they had identified, hoping to see some reaction. However, more than ten minutes passed, and the sea remained calm.
"As expected, even satellite surveillance can't see what's underneath the sea."
Black Dragon reached out and rubbed his eyes.
"No... something's not right."
Kaga looked down at the data feedback, his brows furrowed slightly.
"What's wrong... what's going on?"
Akagi walked over to Kaga, glanced at the tablet, and his tone changed.
Black Dragon stopped and looked at the two sisters. They hadn't even arrived at the battlefield yet. The Sirens shouldn't be able to multiply their numbers, right?
"The submarine fleet that entered this area was shrouded in a layer of fog and lost contact."
Kaga's brow relaxed, and he spoke calmly.
"The underwater fog?"
Black Flying Dragon was taken aback. Generally speaking, is there fog in the water?
"Although it's hard to understand, that's the truth. Once you enter the fog, you'll disappear instantly, and any communication devices you carry will become useless."
Kaga replied.
Has this happened before?
Black Dragon looked at Kaga's statement as if it were the first time he had encountered it.
"It happened twice, but my wife and the others didn't notice anything unusual."
As Amagi spoke, he reached out and took Kaga's tablet.
"The fog will lead those who stray into it to unknown times and places, where they may see traces of history or be attacked by sirens."
Black Dragon gave a very concise explanation.
"Can the Sirens even do something like this?"
Azure Dragon was somewhat surprised.
Black Dragon paused for a moment, as if she had just recently heard something about how human technology was not far behind that of the Sirens.
"How to escape?"
Tiancheng tapped on the keys and asked a question.
"As far as I know, the only way to open the passage is for the Sirens to either release it themselves or open it with equal or greater power."
Black Flying Dragon shook his head slightly.
"..."
Tiancheng frowned, a rare occurrence for him.
Black Dragon glanced at the screen. She wasn't afraid of the fog, but it was too dangerous for ordinary ship girls.
Suddenly, a fleet of ship girls appeared at the edge of the large central screen, approaching the battle area. Black Flying Dragon glanced at them out of the corner of his eye, and his eyes widened instantly.
That was a group from Shinano. Judging by the timeline, they should be arriving in Sakura Empire territory soon.
However, before Shinano and the others could make a move, a visible fog rose from the sea and within minutes covered an area of more than a hundred miles, instantly filling most of the screen with mist.
"Is this a Sirens trap?"
The black dragon's pupils contracted slightly.
"This is infuriating."
Looking at the fog on the screen, Akagi leaned back on the sofa, looking annoyed, and spoke in a rather unfriendly tone.
"One day they will regret their arrogance."
Canglong reached out and took off his glasses, then took out a piece of cloth and gently wiped them.
Black Flying Dragon looked at Kaga, but she didn't understand why the two of them were angry.
Kaga gave a smile that sent a chill down one's spine.
"They will only lay an ambush if they sense the presence of danger; they will not bother to take anything that poses no danger seriously."
Amagi provided an explanation.
"Uh."
Black Dragon understood now; the three were angry because they felt the Sirens were looking down on them.
After that, the hall was quiet, with only the sound of Amagi operating the tablet. Akagi seemed lost in thought, while Kaga and Soryu waited with their eyes closed.
Meanwhile, Black Dragon was pondering how to bring up the topic of the planned ship.
