Crossing the azure as a black dragon

After parting ways with Zuikaku, Kurohiryu returned to the shrine. As evening approached, he had dinner and ended his busy day.
Early in the morning, Hei Feilong stepped out of the guest room, a cool breeze blowing towards her, and the temperature in the room dropped several degrees.
"The weather really changes so quickly."
Black Flying Dragon stood at the edge of the corridor and looked up at the sky. Yesterday it was sunny and bright, but today it was all gray and gloomy, just waiting for something to fall.
"It would be nice if it snowed."
Stretching, Black Dragon muttered to himself as he left through the left-hand corridor.
She had been here for a few days and had roughly figured out a few specific routes.
She originally wanted to move to Tiancheng, but then she thought it wasn't a good idea and gave up on the idea.
Strolling along, Black Dragon arrived near the main hall. She vaguely heard people discussing something, and curiosity drove her to eavesdrop, so she slowed her pace.
Just then, Ibuki, dressed in a sky-blue embroidered kimono, passed by in the corridor of the side hall and couldn't help but ask when she saw Black Flying Dragon, "Flying Dragon-senpai? What are you doing here?"
"Hmm? Good morning. I'm wondering whether I should turn left or right ahead."
Black Dragon remained calm and showed a composed smile.
"I'm sorry, I forgot that you only recently arrived here as well. My apologies."
Ibuki understood and politely bowed to Black Flying Dragon to apologize.
"It's nothing, Ibuki, where are you headed?"
Black Flying Dragon shrugged and started chatting with Ibuki across the aisle.
"I was just about to go and discuss today's itinerary with Her Highness Azuma."
Ibuki gave an answer.
"The relationship has become quite good."
Black Flying Dragon joked with a smile.
"Yes, thanks to you."
Ibuki gave a shy smile.
"Then I won't bother you any longer. See you later."
Ibuki's appearance made Black Dragon lose interest in eavesdropping; he simply said goodbye and walked away.
After watching the black dragon turn the corner, Ibuki turned and left.
Turning left and right, Black Flying Dragon arrived at the front yard of the shrine through a small path. There were more shrine maidens today than yesterday. Black Flying Dragon immediately spotted Chitose, with her long wine-red hair, standing by the ema (votive plaque) in a daze.
"Shinano's sudden disappearance must have been due to some kind of blow."
Black Flying Dragon thought to himself.
Several ship girls previously went on sorties with Shinano, and Chitose was one of them.
Assuming she went on an attack with Amagi, and Amagi was separated from the group by the Sirens midway through, she would definitely be unsettled, so it's understandable.
Chisui seemed to have heard something, looked up at Black Flying Dragon, and took a step as if to walk over, but did not take the step. She gave an apologetic smile and turned away.
"what."
Black Flying Dragon paused for a moment, then covered his mouth with his hand.
Is this body programmed with some strange data? She remembers not having this bad habit before she transmigrated.
After a three-second self-examination, Black Flying Dragon stepped through the torii gate, arrived at the second floor, and reached Amagi's private residence.
The homeowner is not home.
Black Flying Dragon didn't ring the doorbell; he simply opened the door and went inside. The heating system inside was excellent, making it much warmer than outside.
Ship girls are physically stronger than humans, but they can still feel some discomfort when faced with extreme environments. If they don't keep warm, they might even catch a cold.
The room was reasonably well-lit, but it was a bit dark because it was a cloudy day. Black Flying Dragon turned on the living room lights.
Hei Feilong rubbed his hands together, took out the tablet that Xianghe had given her, turned it on and operated it for a bit. The three largest screens on the wall lit up, and after loading, they displayed three different images, showing a view of the entire Earth. However, most of the ocean areas were shrouded in fog, which looked very uncomfortable.
"It's even more amazing than I imagined."
Black Dragon reached out and controlled the main screen, clicking on the Donghuang Free Port area. A 'Warning' and 'Prohibited' message popped up, basically meaning that only large images could be viewed, not small ones.
"useless."
Black Flying Dragon pouted; she wanted to see what the situation was like in the Free Port area.
I honestly clicked into the Cherry Blossom Sea Realm and zoomed in. A large number of regions currently engaged in battle popped up on the screen. I glanced at them and found that there were more than a hundred.
"A fierce battle has been going on since early morning?"
Reaching out and clicking into what appears to be the most intense battlefield, the two sides are engaged in a wide sea area, seemingly in an encounter battle. The number of ship girls is roughly equal to the number of sirens, but from a high vantage point, it looks like sirens are constantly approaching from all sides.
Zooming in again, Black Dragon immediately spotted a ship girl hit by a Siren shell, motionless beneath the smoke.
Tsk.
Black Flying Dragon clicked his tongue in annoyance; just one glance had ruined his good mood for the whole day.
She knew in her heart that this was the true reflection of war. Only a few could stand out from the ship girl group, and most ship girls would just disappear silently in the war.
After calming himself down, Black Flying Dragon went to the side, poured himself a cup of tea, and sat on the sofa to continue watching the battle.
The Sirens had no formation whatsoever, simply lying across the sea and bombarding the enemy, while the ship girls were divided into several teams: the capital ships adjusted their positions to provide artillery cover, the aircraft carriers fought for air superiority, and there were escort teams and assault teams.
Ship girls' flexibility is at its best in small-scale battles, but once the number of Sirens exceeds a certain level, the resulting firepower network will allow destroyers and other ship types to take over, at which point both sides will have to rely on their raw strength.
On the screen, the battle between the two sides has reached a fever pitch, with sirens being hit and sunk in almost every round of shelling, and the same is true for the ship girls.
"What are these ship girls' commanders thinking?"
As familiar figures fell one by one, Black Dragon's legs began to tremble violently. He raised his camera and scanned the surrounding sea, trying to find the reason why the ship girls and the Sirens were fighting to the death at sea.
Suddenly, her peripheral vision caught sight of an island. When she raised her perspective, the island was no bigger than a bottle cap, and was dark gray overall, completely different from the other green islands.
"..."
The black dragon zoomed in, revealing a very familiar scene, still emitting smoke. Further away, the remains of sirens were piled up, not yet completely sunk to the seabed.
"A diversionary tactic? Or perhaps..."
Several possibilities flashed through Black Dragon's mind before he finally closed his eyes.
She hadn't left since arriving here, so she couldn't truly grasp the chaos within the Sakura Empire. Perhaps this was Amagi's real purpose in giving her command.
ding dong~
The doorbell rang.
Black Dragon pulled the screen back to a global perspective, got up, walked to the entrance, and opened the door. The three-nothing little fox was standing at the door.
"Lord Nagato has something to discuss with you."
Jiang Feng said calmly.
"Okay, just a moment."
Hei Feilong responded, returned to the living room, turned off the lights, and followed Jiang Feng out of the mansion.
Chapter Sixty-Seven: Why Endure When You Have Overwhelming Combat Power?
The sky was still overcast, and a cold wind blew from time to time as I walked along the road. There were far fewer ship girls outside than yesterday.
Jiang Feng kept a cold face throughout the journey, and Hei Feilong didn't find a chance to ask any questions.
Looking at Jiang Feng's appearance, Hei Feilong thought of Bei Feng again. She hadn't done anything out of line recently, so why was she so disliked?
She couldn't find the reason, and she couldn't reflect on it.
After pondering for a while, the two quickly returned to the front yard of the shrine. Chitose replaced Chiyoda and Yamashiro as the cleaners of the fallen leaves in the outer yard, and politely bowed when she saw Kurohiryu and Jiangfeng.
Upon entering the main hall, Black Flying Dragon returned to the room where he had discussed matters with Nagato the day before. Orange light shone through the crack in the sliding door, and the sounds of conversation inside drifted out with the light.
Jiang Feng tiptoed to the sliding door and reported inside, "Lord Nagato, the person has been brought."
The room fell silent for a moment, and after a few seconds, Nagato's voice came through: "Thank you for your hard work. Come in."
"please."
Jiang Feng opened the door and, unusually, used respectful language when addressing Hei Feilong.
"Thank you."
Black Flying Dragon thanked him and walked straight into the room, his gaze sweeping over the people inside.
Nagato, Mikasa, Hosho, and her stepsister Soryu standing to the side.
"Sorry to keep you waiting." Black Flying Dragon stepped forward and greeted the group, then found his futon and sat down, asking the three, "Is something wrong at this hour?"
"The scope of the Siren operation was also expanded last night."
Having surveyed the entire Sakura Empire territory, we are currently reviewing the distress calls sent from other ports.
Nagato, dressed in a red and white shrine maiden outfit, knelt upright in the center. The 'majesty' she usually deliberately cultivated had vanished, but her words exuded a different kind of power that moved everyone present.
"Spreading throughout the entire territory?"
Black Flying Dragon frowned.
"Yes, before last night, the sirens were only active around the port areas that were not closed, but last night several closed port areas were attacked, and sirens were also seen wandering around other port areas."
Azure Dragon answered the question for Nagato.
"...How was it handled before?"
Black Flying Dragon paused for a moment and asked.
"Before this, our strategy with other ports was to disperse ship girls in the waters outside the port to contain the wandering sirens and prevent them from gathering into a force that could threaten the port. If a port was attacked, nearby ship girls would also go to help defend it."
"The Azure Dragon answered."
"The method is a bit clumsy, but it works very well. However... the previous range of activity was already the limit that we could bear."
Nagato continued, echoing the words.
