Crossing the azure as a black dragon

"space…"
Facing the boundless sea, Shinano murmured softly, her beautiful eyes slightly closed, feeling a pang of envy for the Black Dragon's ability to travel using space.
Her control over time is basically equivalent to Black Dragon's control over space, but while time is a powerful tool for self-preservation, it can't be used for traveling.
While fretting about why she had no sense of space, Shinano leisurely arrived at a port area filled with modern commercial buildings, which didn't look like a port area at all.
Two cruise ships, one large and one small, were moored at the pier extending from the port area. On the platform between them, a cat-eared girl dressed in a light green kimono was waiting for Shinano's arrival.
"Shinano-sama."
As Shinano landed and put away its ship equipment, Akashi quickly stepped forward to pay his respects.
"Is your commander in the port?"
Shinano hummed in agreement and looked up at the port area.
She couldn't explore the vast sea area covered by this port, nor could she reach it in her dreams; it was one of the few blind spots in her world.
"I'm very sorry, Commander went to the Eastern Empire with Lord Black Dragon a couple of days ago and is not in the port area for the time being."
Akashi took two steps back, his tone quite regretful.
"Is that so? It seems I've come at an inopportune time."
Shinano was slightly surprised, but it was nothing serious. Both of them were beings she couldn't observe, so it was normal for something to happen that she didn't know about.
Since the person she was looking for wasn't there, she saw no need to linger any longer and turned to leave.
"Please wait a moment, meow. The commander told us last night to support your actions, Lady Shinano. Here is a list of names. Please accept it, meow."
Akashi quickly stopped Shinano and handed her a roster.
"Hmm, please tell her that I am very grateful."
Shinano paused for a moment, took the roster, didn't look at it, nodded to Akashi, and then turned and walked away across the sea.
"May you have great success in your military endeavors."
Akashi bid farewell in a low voice.
After leaving Okinawa, Shinano sailed north across the water, gradually moving away from the area covered by the Evira Port District.
The sun in the sky was still bright and warm, but things had changed on the sea. After traveling only a hundred miles, the sound of artillery bombardment could be heard.
"Well."
Shinano squinted and looked to her right front. A faint blue light flashed in her eyes as she envisioned the future victory of the ship girls on both sides of the battle.
Nodding in satisfaction, Shinano continued on his way.
However, the closer they got to the Sakura Empire's homeland, the more battles occurred around them, and the number of Sirens gradually increased. On several occasions, Shinano provided some support.
Feeling somewhat confused about the current state of Sakura Empire, Shinano reached for a tablet, carefully pressed the power button, and opened the software to dial Amagi's contact information.
After a short wait, the sky
The city appeared on the other side of the video.
"how is the situation?"
Amagi's voice drifted out from inside, and through the screen, it could be seen that the background where Amagi was currently located was an ice cream shop.
"as always."
Shinano calmly gave his answer.
Actually, she didn't have anything to talk to Tiancheng about, but Tiancheng always had something to say to her, which was a good way to distract her.
"Yes, I have some intelligence to send you. It might come in handy during the operation."
Tiancheng over there didn't pay any attention. After grunting in agreement, he proceeded with the operation, and a file was transferred over.
Shinano received the document and looked through it. It contained records of people who could help her, people who might pose a threat to her, and the Sirens' plans within the Sakura Empire.
"Your intelligence is always more comprehensive than mine."
Shinano sighed softly. She could foresee most of Amagi's future, but she still relied on Amagi to provide intelligence for each operation.
I feel a little frustrated.
"This was just an accident. It's not convenient for us to return to Sakura Empire for the time being. If there's anything you can discuss with Lady Nagato and Lady Mikasa, Soryu and Takao can also take over some of the duties. As for combat..."
Amagi shook his head slightly, carefully instructing Shinano.
Shinano's expression was calm, even somewhat naive. If you were to be in close contact with her often, it would be easy to get the impression that "this person can't do it alone," and you would unconsciously want to help her more.
"?"
Shinano was trying to remember Amagi's words when he suddenly sensed something was wrong. He turned his head to look at the junction of Sakura Empire's Kyushu and Chugoku regions on his right. There, at a relatively important port in Sakura Empire, was a port called Shimonoseki.
"what happened?"
Amagi immediately sensed that something was wrong.
“Something strange has infiltrated this area. I’ll go deal with it first. If those two little ones aren’t dead, release them.”
Shinano responded by turning off the video, putting away the tablet, and turning sideways to move towards Shimonoseki Port.
In contrast, something invisible flew past rapidly in the high sky, accompanied by strong winds.
When the two were ten nautical miles apart, Shinano swung his right hand, and the long sword in the scabbard flew out of the scabbard as if it were being pulled, slashing out five very thin blue blade lights forward.
The blade flashed through the air, finally striking a wisp of air with a 'thud,' which jolted something out of existence. The dark figure flew backward for dozens of meters before regaining its footing.
It was a humanoid creature with ship equipment resembling bat wings. Judging from its figure, it was female, but its body was completely naked. Its light gray hair covered its eyes, and its pale skin made it look extremely abnormal.
"What? The Sakura Empire still has some capable fighters, doesn't it?"
The siren, suddenly thrown back, regained its footing and looked at Shinano on the sea. It happily revealed its serrated teeth, flapped its wings, and swooped down.
Shinano's eyes flashed with blue light as he steadily stepped forward, brushing past the swooping Sirens. The Sirens that came behind Shinano exploded into a shower of blue stardust, while a bloodstain appeared on Shinano's fair right shoulder, the blood that seeped out burning directly in the air.
"Another mistake."
Shinano frowned, gently touching his wound with his left hand, and then slowly disappeared into the sea.
……
"..."
Shentong shifted her gaze from Amagi, who had put down her tablet, to the bay beside them. They were sitting on the wooden balcony extending outwards from a beverage shop along the shore, with Beaune sitting opposite them, holding a drink and also silent.
"Sister Amagi?"
Akagi and Kaga were at the next table. Akagi noticed something was wrong and asked Amagi while resting his right hand on the back of his chair.
"It's alright. Black Flying Dragon shouldn't be back anytime soon. You and Kaga should go back by water first."
Amagi's expression remained unchanged as he put the tablet away and spoke to the two of them.
"That Black Flying Dragon has gone and never returned. Is he wandering around somewhere?"
Akagi pouted unhappily, stood up and called to Kaga. The two jumped from the edge of the balcony onto the water and left the harbor along the bay.
"I'm very sorry... Miss Beaune is in charge of logistics. Are all the suppliers the military?"
After seeing Akagi and the other two off, Amagi turned around and apologized to Jintsu and Beaun, then looked at Beaun with a hint of curiosity in his voice.
"The ship equipment and port maintenance parts are all from the military, and the daily expenses are mostly covered by foreign companies. Many ship girls who live outside have their own ways of making a living, but that's beyond my control."
Beyarn took a sip of milk tea and did not hide it from Tiancheng.
Although her intelligence network was slightly inferior to that of Shentong, she knew that Black Flying Dragon greatly respected the brown fox in front of her. He had come to find her with Shentong this time, so it was highly likely that he was going to take up a position here.
"I see. Then, may I ask what the difference is between this port area and a free port area?"
Amagi nodded, then clasped his hands together and asked a question in a not-too-stern tone.
"Most of them adopt the same strategy, but they don't need to take orders from the Eastern Empire Navy Headquarters. Instead, they take orders directly from Lord Black Flying Dragon, while also retaining the right to launch and arrange operations independently during large-scale battles."
Shentong took over the conversation.
A hint of surprise flashed in Amagi's eyes. The Eastern Empire was not a country like the Sakura Empire. The fact that they could obtain such privileges here was enough to show how much the Eastern Empire valued the existence of the Black Flying Dragon.
After a short rest, the three left the ice cream shop. Earlier, Shentong had shown Tiancheng how to get to know her.
His current role is to follow Beyarn and observe logistics-related matters. Along the way, they encountered North Carolina, whose presence was somewhat weak. The four of them took a walk around the branch port together, letting most people know that another person in charge had arrived in this port area.
Chapter 105 A Late-Night Visit
It was past noon, the sun was setting in the west, and the afterglow of the sunset painted the sky red.
"Despite being separated by such a vast ocean, the customs of the Eastern Empire and the Imperial Kingdom remain remarkably similar. Is this an inevitable historical phenomenon?"
At the main entrance of the port, Black Flying Dragon, dressed as a delinquent girl, and Avira, wearing a black dress, walked in towards the setting sun. Avira was the one speaking, her tone slightly wistful.
"Maybe."
Black Flying Dragon responded from the side.
She and Avira are actually very similar; both have experienced multiple worlds. However, she is already struggling to deal with the things in front of her, and has no time to care about the changes in the world and history.
The two chatted casually as they strolled to the bottom of the office building. The sun hadn't completely set yet, and there were still quite a few people chatting and drinking tea in the coffee shop on the first floor.
Upon arriving on the fourth floor, Black Flying Dragon pushed open the office door, where Amagi, dressed in a loose-fitting red maple kimono, was standing by the desk, flipping through documents.
"Welcome back. The Prince of Wales is off work now."
Noticing the door being pushed open, Amagi calmly put the documents back in their place and turned to the two of them.
"It's okay, she's just here to help me with some documents, she can leave once she's done."
Black Dragon glanced at the clean desk and said.
"More importantly, Tiancheng, have you chosen your residence yet? Let's set up the teleportation portal first for easy travel."
After a brief pause, Black Flying Dragon spread his hands and asked Sky City.
"It's confirmed. It's right next to Miss Ivira's mansion. Shall we go now?"
Amagi glanced at Avira, who was standing by the door smiling but not saying a word, then looked away and walked towards the door.
"Well, it's getting late. Let's set up the teleportation portal here first, so that the people over there can feel more at ease."
