Crossing the azure as a black dragon
Page 463
Black Dragon stopped exploring, flipped her hands in the air, and eight different flower cards appeared between her fingers. The next second, she flung these flower cards away.
Hanafuda went first, followed by Black Flying Dragon. As she sped away, starlight flew from her body, soaring into the sky and transforming into fighter jets and other aircraft, flying toward the target. Various colored Hanafuda cards also flew out of Black Flying Dragon's hands continuously. From an aerial perspective, Black Flying Dragon was like an endless turret, with Hanafuda cards as her cannonballs. Within minutes, forty-eight Hanafuda cards were released from her hands.
These flower cards did not attack directly, but instead wove themselves into a net-like shape in the air, meeting the approaching figure at several times the speed of sound.
The siren was charred black by missiles, and the only distinguishable feature was the long, hedgehog-like quills on her back. In response to the harassment from fighter jets, these quills were fired wildly, creating an air defense force even denser than anti-aircraft guns, which in turn shot down several fighter jets.
Facing the black dragon's flower cards, it neither dodged nor avoided them, but crashed straight into them, seemingly very confident in its defensive capabilities.
The moment it crashed into him, Black Dragon flicked his finger, and the flower cards scattered, surrounding the humanoid hedgehog. The forty-eight flower cards simultaneously emitted dark red energy, instantly forming a square cage.
The hedgehog siren slammed into the front energy wall, the powerful impact stretching the shield by more than ten meters. A few seconds later, it rebounded violently, and the siren began to ram wildly through the cage at a speed invisible to the naked eye.
"How stupid."
Seeing this, Black Dragon stopped and signaled the planes in the sky to return to base.
"..."
Kaga watched the exchange, which lasted several minutes, from the plane. Putting himself in the Sirens' shoes, he concluded that he would be instantly killed by the Black Dragon's Hanafuda.
After retrieving the carrier-based aircraft, Kaga approached Black Dragon.
"Aren't you going to kill it?"
Kaga asked the question.
"I want to ask for some information."
Black Dragon beckoned with his finger, and a dark red cage flew swiftly from afar, inside which was a dizzy, dazed siren.
"intelligence?"
Kaga narrowed his eyes slightly, but didn't say anything more.
The cage quickly arrived in front of the two. Black Dragon stepped forward and knocked on the shield wall: "Wake up, are you still conscious?"
The silly siren hedgehog looked disheveled, but it wasn't actually injured. The crashing only knocked off the charred outer layer of its shell, revealing its true form.
It is white and clean, and looks similar to a human, except that it has sharp spines on its back and its chest and abdomen are covered by a brown shell.
The sirens ignored the black dragon.
"Can it write? Human writing?"
Black Dragon asked again.
The Sirens then reacted, standing up and extending the nail of its right index finger into a sharp spike, which it thrust into the black dragon's chest the instant it approached the shield.
The spikes slammed into the shield wall, the powerful force tearing off his fingernails, and the spikes spun around and pierced his forehead.
Black Dragon
With its head and hands slightly clasped together, the cage, originally two meters wide, shrank to one meter, and the siren was forced to bend over.
"I'll give you one more chance. Tell me what happened here."
Black Flying Dragon spoke expressionlessly in the Eastern Huang language.
The siren stared intently at the black dragon, and with her bleeding index finger, she shakily wrote a few words on the wall—Eastern script.
'Intruder, get out!'
Chapter 117 Bribing Kaga
"Is this the setting?"
Kaga looked at the bright red words, then turned his head to look at the black dragon, remaining quite calm.
"I've never heard of that either, but what are we testing in this situation?"
With a flick of his finger, Black Dragon raised the dark red cage high into the sky and retorted to Kaga.
"Generally speaking, it should include the stability of the space, the strength of the simulated opponent, whether the auxiliary program can function properly, and whether it will affect our mental state, etc..."
"It seems to be an exploration mode here, and the radar detection is turned off, probably so that you can grow by exploring the world."
Upon hearing this, Kaga gently stroked his chin with his right hand and calmly analyzed the situation.
"You seem to be quite skilled at this."
Black Dragon nodded as he listened, but couldn't help making a sarcastic remark.
"Normally, you should have asked before you came in."
Kaga glanced at the black dragon, his face showing no emotion, as if he was already used to this kind of thing.
"Haha, definitely next time."
Black Flying Dragon looked up at the sky and chuckled awkwardly twice.
She thought the training ground was just a simulation of an opponent fighting against her, but she didn't expect it to have multiple modes.
"...What should we do with this guy?"
Kaga gently shook his head and looked at the cage floating in the sky.
"Take it with you, and see if you can bring it back."
Black Dragon thought for a moment. This siren posed no threat to her, but it was much stronger than Kaga. It was not comparable to the two of them and could barely be used as an experimental subject.
"Okay, so where do we go next?"
Kaga didn't ask any more questions. He looked up and gazed around, his eyes meeting nothing but water.
"This way, I'll find you an opponent."
Black Dragon frowned, determined its direction, and began to move westward, its target being the Kamchatka region on the left side of the Bering Sea, where a Siren with energy reserves similar to the planned ships was located—the weakest of the group.
Kaga's eyes flickered slightly, and he sped up to follow behind the black dragon. The cage in the sky hung far behind them, like a balloon.
"As a ship, your strength has reached its peak. To grow further, you will need to make good use of the magic cube energy within your body. Your energy storage is a little weak, and you need a medium to unleash some of its power."
On the calm sea, Black Dragon and Kaga walked side by side, two meters apart. Bored about the journey, Black Dragon began to explain the experience he had summarized.
"A medium? Is that so?"
Kaga frowned slightly, reached into his clothes and took out a blue airplane-shaped piece of paper. After hesitating for a moment, he threw the paper away into the distance.
A faint ripple appeared on the surface of the blue paper. After being released, it turned into a ball of blue flame in the wind and landed on the sea surface fifty meters away, exploding with a bang and sending up a splash several meters high, somewhat like a more powerful firecracker.
"That's about it, but unfortunately I don't know how you can increase energy production so rapidly."
Black Dragon's attention was focused on Kaga's palm. The paper was real paper, but it was transformed into an explosive material the moment it was covered by energy. This was another basic use of energy besides resonance.
She herself had completely transcended the realm of using external forces; those flower cards were all created on the spot using her own energy.
"It's alright. As long as I keep fighting, I will become stronger. I don't need to take shortcuts."
Kaga looked down at his right hand, which was clenched into a fist, his eyes gleaming.
"come on."
Black Flying Dragon smiled and encouraged Kaga.
The two navigated the sea, avoiding the sirens that were asleep and motionless for various reasons, and arrived near the coast.
Compared to the open sea, the sky along the coast is much brighter, and seabirds perch on the rocky outcrops and thickets of nearby islands, where the climate is very warm.
"Battles have taken place in these places."
Kaga's gaze fell on a small island that had been broken in two. Although it was covered with vegetation, the huge crater left by the explosion was still very obvious. The beach on the mainland in the distance was relatively normal, but for several kilometers behind it were huge craters more than ten meters wide, from which one could glimpse what had happened here.
"Your opponent is just across this island."
Black Flying Dragon pointed, and smoke rose from the opposite side of the island, indicating that people lived there.
"Are they intelligent sirens again?"
Kaga reached out and ran his hand across the ship's armor plating, and blue flames rose into the sky, encircling the island from both sides and attacking the direction from which the smoke was rising.
"Be careful, this siren has significantly more energy than you do."
Kaga rushed forward, but the black dragon remained stationary.
So far, they haven't triggered any programs. She wants to see if Kaga will be forcibly kicked out of this world if he is seriously injured.
"Humph."
Kaga didn't say much; the fighter jets high in the sky had already detected the Sirens' presence, and bombs roared from both sides.
The plane swooped down directly.
Black Dragon stood with his hands on his hips, turned and looked out over the inland of Kamchatka. There was no reaction from the Sirens on the mainland, but there was a reaction from humans. A group of people had gathered in the inland, far from the ocean, and continued to develop their civilization.
While the Northern Alliance still has people, the neighboring Sakura Islands have fallen into eternal darkness, and the spark of civilization has been extinguished.
"This is a strange place. Is this the world created by Ivira, or the real world after humanity's defeat?"
Black Dragon muttered to himself.
She was once intercepted by Avira during a Siren attack, and she believed that Avira could travel to other worlds even without relying on that time-space node.
boom!
The bombs dropped by the bombers made a huge noise, and the entire island in the distance shook.
Black Dragon turned his gaze and saw a beam of red and black light rising from the opposite side of the island. With a sweeping motion in the air, it cut off three of Kaga's bombers, and the other planes immediately scattered to avoid the attack.
"The difference is quite large."
Black Dragon subconsciously compared Kaga's firecrackers with this beam of light that pierced through the clouds, and they seemed to be on completely different levels.
"Wait, did Avira say that only physically strong Sirens are generated?"
After comparing the information with Black Dragon, he suddenly remembered the only piece of information that Avira had revealed.
"..."
Black Flying Dragon narrowed her eyes, staring at Kaga, who was sailing alone on the sea. If other commanders were to evaluate sending an aircraft carrier to attack alone, she was almost certain that she would be severely criticized.
The beam of light shot into the sky and then gradually dissipated after more than ten seconds. A black figure darted out from the other side of the island and landed on the sea. The black figure kicked out a huge, diagonal wave as it landed in the water.
This is something that ship girls of the planned ship class in the real world could not do at all.
