As he spoke, he turned around and transformed into a deep purple fox.

Lin Zhu pointed a finger and said, "This aura can help you conceal your presence. Be careful on your journey."

Granny Fox nodded and disappeared using a burrowing technique.

Tang Sanzang put his hands together and said, "Thank you, True Lord, for saving my life."

Lin Zhu waved casually, "No need to be polite, you'll be fine even if I didn't come."

Tang Sanzang nodded. "This fox benefactor is indeed not a truly wicked person. Amitabha, the killing in the world is still too excessive."

"Alright, you've been kidnapped for hundreds of thousands of miles. Have you figured out how to reunite with him?" Lin Zhu was still a little impatient with Tang Seng. Tang Seng was only pleasing to the eye when he wasn't talking.

"This!" Tang Sanzang was at a loss for what to do. He was not a fast traveler and had always been traveling on the white dragon horse.

"Never mind, I'll have the monkeys come over. You just wait here."

If it weren't for Tang Sanzang saying he wanted to be down-to-earth, he wouldn't have gone through all this trouble.

Perhaps when Tang Sanzang's Ten Thousand Buddhas Golden Bell Cover reaches an indestructible level, he can throw Tang Sanzang like a ball. That would be fast enough, and he wouldn't have to worry about hurting him.

Lin Zhu transmitted his thoughts telepathically, "Monkey, Tang Sanzang has been found. Bring the White Dragon Horse and Lin Zhao here."

Sun Wukong sensed Lin Zhu's presence. "So far?"

The white dragon asked, "Senior brother, is there any news about Master?"

“Not bad.” Sun Wukong nodded. “Brother Lin asked me, Old Sun, to take you and this big fat man over there.”

“You’re the fat one, your whole family are fat. I’m just plump, and my master loves lying on my back.”

When Lin Zhao was called fat, she immediately objected and spoke human language for the first time in front of Sun Wukong and the others.

Sun Wukong was startled. "You can talk, and you're female?"

"Is that not allowed?" Lin Zhao glared at Sun Wukong. "You idiot, how dare you say I'm fat?"

He keeps using the word "Laozi" (老子), he's quite fierce.

Sun Wukong said he couldn't afford to mess with him, he really couldn't afford to mess with him.

The little white dragon also sensed Lin Zhao's imposing presence and remained silent.

"I, Old Sun, see you're a woman, so I won't hold it against you," Sun Wukong muttered to himself.

Lin Zhao knew he was giving in, so she immediately snorted, "I know the master's exact location. Follow me."

Just as Sun Wukong and his companions were on their way to reunite with Lin Zhu, Mahasthamaprapta in mid-air asked Vajra Venerable, "Vajra Venerable, you said that we guided that old fox to capture Tang Sanzang, so why can't that be considered a tribulation?"

The Vajra Venerable shook his head. "This place is not the key point, so it can't be considered a difficulty. Alas, Tang Sanzang is going to have a lot of troubles this time."

The Bodhisattva of Sunlight said, "It's alright. The stronger the disaster, the more merit you will gain afterward."

Moonlight Bodhisattva said, "But the risks also increase. What if Jin Chanzi is unable to obtain the true scriptures in this life? His true spirit can no longer support the next reincarnation."

"Do you three think that Buddha sent us here just to go through the motions? If Tang Sanzang is in dire straits, we will step in to save him." The Vajra Venerable looked like he was willing to sacrifice himself for righteousness. "At worst, we can go through reincarnation and start cultivating Buddhism again."

"Amitabha!" The other three bodhisattvas clasped their hands together. "Vajra Venerable is truly righteous. However, with True Monarch Linzhu blocking the way ahead, the danger to Jin Chanzi is greatly reduced."

The four Bodhisattvas smiled slightly, their understanding unspoken.

It truly is a case of fortune and misfortune being intertwined.

Lin Zhao and the White Dragon were fast, and Sun Wukong followed them. They soon found Lin Zhu.

Lin Zhu and Tang Seng had already emerged from the cave and were standing by the roadside waiting for them.

As soon as Sun Wukong saw Tang Sanzang, he immediately asked, "Monk, are you alright?"

Tang Sanzang looked at Sun Wukong and smiled kindly, "I am fine, Wukong, there is no need to worry."

"Who's worried about you? I, Old Sun, am just afraid you'll get hurt and ruin my reputation." Sun Wukong's whole body was stiff, and his mouth was no exception.

Tang Sanzang saw through it, smiled, and said nothing.

Sun Wukong then asked Lin Zhu, "Brother Lin, where is that old fox?"

Lin Zhu said calmly, "What do you think?"

Sun Wukong was quick-witted and immediately realized that the old fox was not dead, but had been let go by Lin Zhu.

This means that the old fox must have had a relationship with the fox girl, and he wasn't a bad person.

Knowing that someone was watching, he said, "Brother Lin, you have a decisive approach."

"No problem, no problem." Lin Zhu floated down onto the big dumpling's back, sinking into it. Ah, so comfortable!

Tang Sanzang looked at the luggage on the back of the white dragon horse and said to Sun Wukong, "Wukong!"

Sun Wukong knew he would have to carry luggage again, and he was very unwilling. Was he going to carry luggage all the way to Mount Ling?

I hope a few more junior brothers will join us.

After Sun Wukong took away the luggage, Tang Sanzang mounted his horse and led the way westward.

In the sky, the Four Duty Officers and the Five Directions Protectors exchanged a glance and immediately cast a spell, using four sundials and five mirrors to form a spacetime array, which was then placed within a hundred feet of Lin Zhu and his group.

The speed increased dramatically.

Lin Zhu sensed the space-time within it, and therefore did not resist it.

With the support of the spacetime array, the speed didn't just increase a few times, but became like teleportation, a new world every second.

Lin Zhu had no idea where she had ended up in just half a day.

Anyway, it's still in the middle of nowhere.

They rested in the mountains and forests.

The four of them, including Mahasthamaprapta, continued to watch as Lin Zhu and the others devoured their food, their mouths watering.

Tang Sanzang was able to eat five mouthfuls of rice this time, and his mastery of the Golden Bell Shield technique was becoming increasingly profound.

After traveling for several more days, as evening approached, they saw a Guanyin Temple in the distance.

The Guanyin Temple was extremely large and decorated in a very luxurious and extravagant style.

Tang Sanzang's eyesight was now excellent, and he said to Sun Wukong, "True Lord, Wukong, there is a Guanyin Temple in the distance. How about we stay there for the night?"

“Okay.” Lin Zhu said, his eyes scanning the surrounding area for miles around, thinking to himself, ‘It seems this is the first difficulty.’

The so-called eighty-one tribulations are not the eighty-one tribulations of Tang Sanzang, but the eighty-one tribulations of Sun Wukong, which can only be overcome when he returns to his position.

As for Fifth Brother, his location is not a key point and there are no minor demons there, so it is not considered a difficulty.

To the west of Guanyin Temple lives a demon king with no fewer than ten thousand demons under his command; this is what a great calamity should look like.

Chapter 949 Eminent Monks

Soon, Lin Zhu and his group arrived at the entrance of Guanyin Temple.

Looking at the magnificent temple, Tang Sanzang couldn't help but say, "The abbot here must be a highly virtuous monk."

Lin Zhu chuckled twice, then turned his gaze to Sun Wukong and said, "Monkey, take out the brocade cassock from your luggage and put it on Sanzang."

Sun Wukong asked in confusion, "Why is that?"

Tang Sanzang also looked over. He wasn't in the Western Paradise, nor was he going to see any important figures. Was it necessary for him to wear a brocade cassock?

Lin Zhu smiled mysteriously and said, "You'll find out soon enough."

Although puzzled, the man and the monkey still took out the brocade robe and put it on.

Then Lin Zhu said, "Sanzang, go knock on the door, and they will surely welcome you in."

Tang Sanzang knocked on the gate of the Zen temple with a puzzled look on his face.

The gate opened a crack, and a monk peeked out, only to be dazzled by the various gemstones and gold threads inlaid on his brocade robe.

Then, without stopping, he shouted into the temple, "Master, Master, a highly virtuous monk has come to pay homage to the temple."

Lin Zhu looked at Tang Seng and smiled, "Look, you are also a highly virtuous monk."

Sun Wukong blinked and laughed heartily, "I understand now. I never expected that the eminent monks in Guanyin Temple would be such virtuous and eminent monks."

Tang Sanzang realized what was happening and felt somewhat embarrassed, saying, "Why don't we go somewhere else?"

How could a place that can afford to support the Guanyin Temple not have any people?

A few dozen miles further west, there is a large town with a population of at least 100,000.

Sun Wukong laughed and said, "Master, why go to such lengths? I think this Guanyin Temple is quite nice, after all, it is the territory of the Bodhisattva."

At that moment, in the Guanyin Temple, the golden statue of Guanyin Bodhisattva twitched her lips twice, feeling that she shouldn't have come.

As they were talking, a slightly aged voice came from the Zen temple, "Where is the venerable monk? This old monk has failed to greet you properly!"

The gates of the Zen temple were wide open, and Lin Zhu saw Elder Jinchi, who had white hair and a slender build. He had very distinctive features, especially his large head.

The eyebrows are long, but the eyes are small, yet very bright.

He spotted Tang Sanzang standing at the doorway immediately; his brocade cassock shone brightly in the setting sun.

"Ah, he is indeed a highly virtuous monk."

Hearing Elder Jinchi say this, Tang Sanzang felt even more embarrassed and quickly said, "This humble monk is Tang Sanzang. I come from the Great Tang Dynasty in the East and am on my way to the Western Paradise to worship Buddha and seek scriptures. I am passing by your temple and have come to ask for lodging for the night."

When Elder Jinchi heard that Tang Sanzang came from the Great Tang Dynasty in the East, he immediately looked enlightened and said, "So you are a high monk from the Great Tang Dynasty in the East. No wonder you are so extraordinary. I am Jinchi, and I greet you, high monk."

"I wouldn't dare!" Tang Sanzang replied politely. "Sanzang greets Elder Jinchi."

"You're too kind, Venerable Monk. Please come in quickly." Elder Jinchi greeted Tang Sanzang, Lin Zhu, and Sun Wukong.

He wasn't afraid of Sun Wukong's appearance or his enormous size. After all, he had already become friends with the Black Bear Spirit, so what was there to be afraid of?

However, the other monks were somewhat afraid, after all, Sun Wukong did look rather fierce, and the big dumpling was too big.

They were invited to the Buddhist hall.

Jin Chi kept staring at Tang Sanzang's brocade cassock, just like Tian Boguang entering a fairy's abode, unable to take it all in at once.

Even with his extensive knowledge, he couldn't recognize most of the materials inlaid in the brocade robe, but he knew they were very precious.

As I watched, I heard a soft thud, and two murky tears fell to the ground.

Before he could say anything, Lin Zhu interrupted, "Holy Monk, you still have two pieces of equipment to wear when you pay homage to Guanyin Bodhisattva later."
