She looked younger than me, probably only five or six years old.

This was undoubtedly a very novel experience for Ilya, who had never seen other people her age before.

Kiritsugu Emiya introduced with a smile:

"Her name is Karen, Karen Altasia, and she's the playmate I found for Ilya from outside."

"playmate?"

A look of surprise appeared in Ilya's eyes, even though the sisters in the castle had all been very kind to her.

But if she could, she would really like to have a playmate who is the same age as her.

Unfortunately, the Einzbern family does not produce juvenile androids.

“Ilya,”

Yukinoshita quietly approached Illya, gently hugged her from behind, and said with a smile, "Got you~!"

Ilya tilted her little face up and asked innocently:

"Sister Yangnai, can I go outside and play with Karen for a while?"

"Karen?"

Yukino tilted her head, her gaze sweeping over the little girl being led by the maid, then landing on Illya's expectant little face. She smiled and nodded, "Of course you can~, but you can't be too far away, okay?"

"Mmm~!"

Ilya nodded happily.

Karen stood quietly amidst the conversation, her eyes showing neither the fear a child might have for strangers nor the enthusiasm for her peers, only her usual indifference.

"Miss Yukinoshita".

Kiritsugu Emiya greeted him politely.

To be honest, he had always felt that the people in this castle were artificial humans, and the Yukinoshita sisters and Yoshikage Kira were no exception. Because in the past nine years, their appearance and physique had remained exactly the same as they had been nine years ago, without any change.

They will not age or grow; they will remain the same as when they were just born.

This aligns perfectly with his understanding of androids.

Even a real human, not even a magician, cannot maintain their youthful appearance indefinitely.

Even if they are just androids, they are still the masters of this castle, and I am the one who came here. Basic courtesy and respect are still necessary.

"Mr. Emiya."

Yukinoshita, holding Illya, responded with a polite smile:

"They are waiting for you in the chapel."

"Ok?"

Kiritsugu Emiya nodded calmly, but was somewhat surprised inside.

I had just returned, and the maid hadn't even had a chance to inform them, so why were they reacting as if they already knew?

Walk through the cloister on the way to the chapel.

Kiritsugu Emiya's gaze inadvertently fell on a painting on the stained glass, depicting Justeza, the "Saintess of the East" of the Einzbern family, and two magicians attending her, all three reaching out towards the Holy Grail in the sky.

When he first arrived in Einzbern, his eyes were immediately drawn to this painting.

This time, his gaze was once again drawn to the painting, and his eyes grew more and more fervent with the passage of time.

The Holy Grail!

He has waited so long for this!

Isn't this the moment we've been working on?

As long as he can obtain the Holy Grail and realize his ideals, everything is worthwhile!

The Chapel of Einzbern.

Nine years ago, he was reprimanded by the homunculi of Einzbern for getting too close.

Nine years later, he entered the chapel with such ease, for in his right hand he held the command given to him by the Holy Grail.

It wasn't an Einzbern artificial human, nor anyone else, but Emiya Kiritsugu!

pat!

Kiritsugu Emiya stepped into the chapel, where the old man had been waiting for some time before the altar. That was none other than Ahadeon, the patriarch of the Einzbern family!

Over the past nine years, he has rarely seen the old man; negotiations have always been handled by androids named Irisviel and Yoshikage Kira.

However, it's quite normal for Ahadeon to choose to personally intervene at such a crucial moment as summoning a Heroic Spirit.

"This is the sacred relic that my beloved Inzbern has been searching for in Cornwall!"

As the old man Ahad stroked his white beard, which resembled a frozen waterfall, he stared intently at Kiritsugu with shrewd eyes that pierced deep into his sunken eye sockets, a gaze that belied his advanced age.

He pointed to the long, charcoal-colored casket bound to the altar, his eyes gleaming with a fanaticism and obsession that was difficult for ordinary people to comprehend:

"If we use it as a medium, we should be able to summon the strongest 'Sword Spirit' that we can imagine as a Servant!"

"Kiritsugu, just consider this the greatest aid the Einzbern family can offer you!"

"I'm so scared, my lord."

Kiritsugu Emiya lowered his head deeply, feigning an expressionless and emotionless demeanor.

"Kiritsugu, open it!"

Amidst the old clan chief's barely concealed excitement, Kiritsugu Emiya opened the long cabinet the old clan chief had pointed to and was deeply drawn to its contents.

That was a sword sheath.

Made of gold and decorated with dazzling blue enamel, this luxurious piece of equipment is less a weapon and more like a crown and scepter, a symbol of noble authority. The engraving in the center is in a long-lost elven script, proving that this scabbard is an artifact crafted by non-human hands.

It has been 1,500 years, yet it remains perfect, just like the legendary king who possessed it!

"In this Holy Grail War, we must leave no one alive. We must eliminate all the other six Servants and complete the Third Spell, 'Heaven's Grail'!"

"As ordered."

The magician responded respectfully to the old patriarch's command, which seemed to carry a curse-like, fanatical passion.

However, deep down, Kiritsugu Emiya was skeptical of Ahadeon's obsession with achieving the third magic to save all of humanity.

His own desires take precedence over everything else!

-----------------

Inside the magic workshop beneath the chapel, the silver-haired girl asked with some confusion:

"Kira-kun, why don't we personally lead this ceremony?"

"Because none of us can show any fanaticism for the Third Law, such fanaticism is necessary to avoid arousing suspicion in Kiritsugu Emiya."

Kira Yoshikage stroked the enormous machine before him, his reply unusually calm.

Nine years ago, the underlying structure of the Einzbern family's magic workshop had already been altered.

Of the original three laws, the second one, 'the recurrence of the Third Law,' has long been removed, and the new generation of androids no longer have any attachment to the Third Law.

But only Ahadeon.

Yoshikage Kira specially preserved his production line so that he could use it for this moment.

But correspondingly.

Once his mission is complete, there is no longer any need to produce the android named 'Ahadeon'.

and so.

Snapped!

Yoshikage Kira pressed his thumb.

In the silent explosion, the massive machine vanished without a trace, as if it had never existed.

"So,"

Irisviel clenched her fist slightly, a bright red emblem clearly imprinted on the back of her right hand. "Should we continue summoning new Servants?"

Those are magical crystals called Command Seals, which are given by the Holy Grail to magicians who have an urgent need for them, as a ticket to become a Master.

Irisviel's possession of Command Seals proves that she has an extraordinary thirst for the Holy Grail and desires that can only be fulfilled through it.

She could have summoned the Saber-class Heroic Spirit herself, without needing to rely on Kiritsugu Emiya.

While her skill level as a magician may not be top-tier, her qualities as a magician surpass those of Kiritsugu Emiya.

The Servants she summons, even if inferior to Saber in class, are absolutely no less powerful than those summoned by Kiritsugu Emiya. If she were to participate in the Holy Grail War, regardless of the enemy, she would personally secure the Holy Grail for Yoshikage Kira—that's her confidence!

"Don't waste it."

Kira Yoshikage held the girl's small hand and gently shook his head, "The Servant will be provided; Emiya Kiritsugu will personally deliver it."

After calming his wife down, Kira Yoshikage looked at the long-haired, black-haired girl who had appeared beside him at some point:

"Yukino, can we leave now?"

Yukino Yukinoshita nodded slightly:

"Just as predicted, when we reach a critical juncture in history, time inside and outside the barrier will gradually stabilize. It's January 1994 outside, and it's also January 1994 back here. We shouldn't be caught in the time turbulence again like before."

-----------------

Inside the chapel.

Kiritsugu Emiya alone drew the magic circle needed to summon the Heroic Spirit and chanted the incantation:

"Fill it full, fill it full, fill it full, fill it full, fill it full!"

The cycle repeats itself, followed by five.

However, the moment of fullness is also the moment of abandonment.
