"I……"
Pith clenched his small fist and slammed his staff into the ground, causing it to glow with dazzling arcane light.
"I'm not a child anymore!!"
With the girl's stern shout, a blinding light surged from the sixth floor of the building once more. The cracked floorboards could not withstand the magic's power and collapsed completely.
Stormeye, the sniper operator on the third floor of the building, couldn't help but admire the Doctor's planning upon hearing the series of loud explosions coming from above. The Doctor had not only considered the enemy's combat strength and the advantages and disadvantages of different professions, but also the impact of damage inflicted by friendly personnel, in order to avoid unnecessary casualties.
No wonder he has a doctorate.
They easily accomplished what we couldn't.
Chapter 251 Like an Apocalypse
Outer ring road of Longmen, Rhode Island Pharmaceuticals Building.
The leader of the assassins and a veteran assassin who had survived three missions without fail finally arrived at the laboratory on the ninth floor.
A brown-haired man wearing Rhodes Island standard armor stood in front of them, smiling at them.
"Sorry, this road is blocked. You still have a chance to leave."
ACE raised the heavy hammer in his hand and gently tapped the tower shield on his left hand, producing a muffled sound that sent chills down one's spine.
Just by standing there, he exudes an aura of pressure, like a mountain blocking one's way.
Isn't Rhode Island a pharmaceutical company?
How could such a master be here?!
The leader of the assassins cursed inwardly, but before he could utter a sound, the old assassin next to him excitedly raised his head, and red light appeared in the empty eye sockets of his mask.
The old assassin raised his hand and pointed directly at ACE, saying excitedly, "You! Although it's faint, you—you have that child's scent on you."
"Nonsense! I, A, have never engaged in pedophilia! Where did this childishness come from!"
ACE's lips twitched slightly, a hint of impatience creeping in.
What is this? Opening with slander, trying to cause social death?
"Hehe, hehehe..."
The old assassin's cheeks twitched so hard they almost flew to the sky, and his mask flew off as he convulsed.
"I'm talking about that child! The remnant of Yan and Victoria, the little girl who should have died, must be a beautiful young woman now, right? Was it lucky or unlucky for her not to die that night? I really want to see!"
The old assassin's reason had long been eroded, but the memories etched deep in his mind made him involuntarily sigh.
"...I take back what I said before."
ACE twisted his neck, making a loud cracking sound.
Behind the goggles, his eyes were cold and sharp. ACE's expression was solemn as he raised the shield in his left hand and charged forward.
"You have no chance to leave."

Rhode Island Pharmaceuticals Building Office.
Medic Touch was ready to support the elite operators at any time, but as time passed, she still didn't get a chance to appear.
She went from being nervous at first to idly finding a chair to sit obediently and waiting, almost falling asleep while trying to close her eyes to rest. Until she was startled by a loud bang and sat up straight, a series of earthquakes shaking the building, Touch clutching her staff and looking around nervously.
She only breathed a sigh of relief when she saw Dr. Kal'tsit calmly organizing paper documents not far away.
Dr. Kal'tsit is the pillar of strength for all medical operators on Rhodes Island, and her prestige even surpasses that of the Doctor and Amiya.
Basically, every medical operator is Dr. Kal'tsit's student. She guides them through their weekly training sessions, and they all feel a sense of dependence and reverence towards her, much like they would towards a teacher. Seeing Dr. Kal'tsit's unwavering composure even in the face of a collapsing mountain, Touch suddenly felt much more at ease, relaxing her tense body. After repeatedly confirming that the Doctor hadn't given any orders, she comfortably rested her head on her staff and closed her eyes again.
It's so much fun to slack off!
If every task were like this, that would be great.
The big shots charge into battle, and I'm cheering them on from behind—that's my apocalypse.
God said, "Touch it."
Touch felt increasingly pleasurable, and he was practically drooling.
"boom!!"
The next moment, another tremor shook the entire building, and Touch was so frightened that he almost fell off his chair.
Seriously? Pith's angry again?
Touch blinked, then suddenly frowned.
No, the tremor came from very close by; it didn't feel like it was coming from the sixth floor, but more like it was coming from right under our feet!
Touch closed his eyes, his mental energy spreading out, quickly sensing the impending intense impact.
She instinctively called out, "Dr. Kal'tsit!"
The dark green Mon3tr appeared out of thin air, its strong arms pulling her into its embrace, and she floated in the air.
Touch had clearly seen Mon3tr before; she showed no panic, instead turning her gaze toward Kal'tsit.
Cracks appeared in the floor, and the fissures spread rapidly, causing the entire building to tremble and groan. Accompanied by a series of chilling sounds, a pillar of fire shot into the sky, breaching the building's foundation and engulfing half of the office almost instantly.
Kal'tsit stood at the edge of the collapsed area, the heat wave blowing against the hem of her clothes and causing her white coat to billow backward.
With a calm expression, she threw the thick stack of documents in her hand into the pillar of fire, where they turned to ashes and scattered in the wind.
"So handsome!"
Touch couldn't help but exclaim in amazement.
Mon3tr let out a muffled groan, deeply agreeing.
As the flames subsided, a pungent stench filled the air, and blackened stains covered the entire office ceiling. Ironically, the Rhode Island Pharmaceuticals Building's fire safety system hadn't responded at all; it had been nothing more than decoration from the start.
This is the courtesy and attitude of Longmen.
Touch looked down and could vaguely see ACE, who was simultaneously fighting against the leader of the Death Squad and the Old Death Squad, at the bottom of the large hole that was five meters long and wide.
ACE's body was covered in charred marks from the flames, and his left-hand tower shield was riddled with knife wounds. This new armor had only appeared once before it was in such a terrible state, second only to the broken shield that melted during the Chernobog rescue operation.
The leader of the assassins was skilled with blades and had a tricky sword technique. Every move he made was a deadly attack that forced ACE to defend himself the entire time.
The old assassin is much more insidious. Not only is he skilled in close combat, but he is also an Oripathy infected person! He directly uses the Originium in his body as a catalyst to activate spells. The pillar of fire that shoots into the sky is his specialty, and even ACE cannot defend against it.
"Hey, hehe..."
The mask on the old assassin's face had shattered at some point, and his facial expressions had completely spiraled out of control, sometimes appearing manic, sometimes insane.
Beside him, the leader of the assassins had half his head sunk into the collapsed skull, his left eye bursting out, and his cracked mask dripping with blood and tears.
Even when facing two opponents, ACE was not at a disadvantage at all.
He said he wouldn't let them go, and he absolutely wouldn't give them a chance to leave.
"Like a divine revelation."
Touch, nestled in Mon3tr's arms, raised his staff, and white light descended from the sky, showering upon ACE.
Bathed in the healing spell, ACE's minor injuries healed rapidly, even the burns on his face disappeared completely, except for his burnt-off beard which could not be restored. However, this also gave him an imposing and dignified air.
He nodded slightly to express his gratitude.
Touch trembled slightly; her eyesight was superb, and she saw blood-red eyes through ACE's shattered goggles.
She couldn't help but recall when was the last time ACE got so angry, it was probably because of... Huang's matter?
Chapter 252 Noisy
"Hey, hehe..."
The old assassin's face twitched; he was unable to form words, but his gaze towards ACE remained wry.
The cold, mocking smile seemed to be relentlessly ridiculing how utterly overconfident the other party was.
ACE exhaled slowly, and even though anger had clouded his vision, he was not led astray by his emotions.
As an elite operator of Rhodes Island, ACE's decades of experience and undefeated record are not without reason.
ACE once thought he would die in Chernobog. Facing Talulah, the leader of the Reunion Movement, who was like a human catastrophe, he felt utterly powerless, with no possibility of defeating her. But one thing made him even more dejected, making him hate himself even more for failing to notice earlier and missing the most precious time. If it weren't for the Doctor's insight into the truth and timely intervention, perhaps now... he would regret it to death.
After so many years, ACE thought he should have let go of the past.
It wasn't until the sins of the past came knocking that he realized he could never forget them.
ACE took a deep breath, adjusted his internal energy, and sprinted forward, like a speeding mobile city.
He understood why the doctor had left Touch in the office ready to provide support at any time; it was all for this moment.
The leader of the assassins vanished from his spot, appearing almost instantly before ACE and unleashing a fierce sword strike. The long blade, like a snake, slashed at ACE from a tricky angle. It was still that fearless and ruthless swordsmanship, willing to sacrifice a thousand lives to inflict seven hundred on the enemy, disregarding life and death.
The poison takes effect in the body; if the mission cannot be completed, death will follow once the effects wear off. Since death is inevitable anyway, why not kill the enemy? This is how the assassins were brainwashed, completely reducing them to killing machines.
But this time, unlike the previous probing, ACE was still pierced through his chest armor by the opponent's long sword, the sharp blade deeply embedded in his flesh, causing intense pain.
ACE released the tower shield in his left hand and instead locked the wrist of the leader of the assassins, preventing him from escaping.
The leader of the suicide squad cried out in his heart that something was wrong, but he had already missed the opportunity to make a drastic decision.
The black magnetic storm hammer was swung high by ACE and then slammed down!
With nowhere to escape, the leader of the assassins could only take the blow with his head, and the result was predictable.
The skull shattered, and the remaining eye bulged out of its socket, oozing fluid.
The pale mask, mixed with viscous liquid, shattered and turned to dust.
"Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang—"
Hammer after hammer, dark red slime splattered onto ACE's face, but he remained unmoved and continued to swing his arm down.
The leader of the assassins had a deeply sunken face that was completely disfigured, and even the back of his head was bulging out, with a slight tendency to protrude.
The combined effects of the medicine and the Gu worms rendered the leader numb to pain and made death nearly impossible. The black worms occupying his brain surged wildly, healing and breaking apart, their reassembly failing to keep pace with the damage.
ACE's eyes were bloodshot. The bloody slime on the Magnetic Storm Hammer slid into his hand, wet and sticky, giving him an indescribable sense of disgust, yet it made him feel so relaxed.
