"The Figarand family is a powerful branch among the Celestial Dragons. Shanks' biological father, Figarand Greene, is the Commander-in-Chief of the Knights of God."

"This team, composed entirely of pure-blooded Celestial Dragons, is extremely powerful and wields immense authority. They can even judge ordinary Celestial Dragons and decide their life or death."

"Therefore, to ensure the purity of this power, the Knights of God will select powerful Celestial Dragons to join, or... simply being powerful isn't enough; Im will brainwash and control them..."

Ace was utterly shocked: "What God's Knights? And who is Im? Robert, where did you get this information? I've never heard of them before!"

Sabo became increasingly alarmed as he listened, because what Robert said was quite systematic and didn't sound like a fabrication at all. In particular, he couldn't think of any reason why Robert would make up such an outrageous set of things.

"Let me finish. Uta is incredibly strong. Her Devil Fruit ability is not just about calming the audience with her singing; it's a rule-level power that forcibly pulls everyone into a dream."

"Although Uta is Shanks' adopted daughter and they are not actually related by blood, in the eyes of the Knights of God, having this identity is enough."

"I think the Celestial Dragons saw the enormous potential of Uta's Devil Fruit ability, so they decided to strike first and bring Uta back to Mary Geoise to use her for their own purposes."

Although Ace was still unwilling to believe it, he was now stunned by Robert's entire explanation and couldn't help but use this logical framework to think about the problem:

"Didn't you say Uta is your partner? She won't agree so easily, right?"

Robert sighed: "This is not something she can decide whether to agree or not. You don't know Im's strength. He's an old monster who has lived for thousands of years. Nobody even knows what his Devil Fruit ability is."

"But he clearly possesses the power to grant immortality to those he contracts with, and this power also erodes their minds, gradually turning them into monsters who obey Im's every command."

"So I must get to Mary Geoise as soon as possible and rescue her before Im completely transforms Uta."

Robert looked at Ace and Sabo: "This has nothing to do with you, so I just wanted to tell you how much trouble we're facing right now. The Sky Island project we promised will have to be postponed for now."

Sabo said seriously, "I'm sorry, Mr. Robert, what you said today is really too amazing. I can't make a decision at all. Please allow me to discuss it with my companion first."

Robert nodded: "The Revolutionary Army has its own plans and pace. I don't need you to get involved. You can slowly verify the truth of my information."

Sabo's gaze was firm: "No, no matter who wants to go to war with the Celestial Dragons, our Revolutionary Army will not hesitate to fight!"

Robert shrugged noncommittally. He hadn't expected the Revolutionary Army to play a significant role in this matter anyway, given Dragon's ambiguous stance.

The door to the room was pushed open, and Tezzolo's image transformed back into Karina as she walked. Her small body was pulling a huge cart by herself, on which lay two dazed men.

Robert was startled; he knew these two people all too well.

Ace jumped up: "Latchet Luke? Yasopp? What are you doing?!"

The two seemed drunk, and when they saw Ace, their minds weren't quite clear, so they even waved with silly smiles.

Robert frowned and activated the electric current, giving the two men a severe shock to their nerves, which finally brought them back to their dazed state.

Yasopp was the first to burst into a tirade: "Where's that bastard Tezzolo?! I'm going to kill him! And Uta! Is Uta alright?"

Karina said worriedly, "I rescued these two from the secret prison. They must have been imprisoned by Tezzolo for quite some time."

Yasopp jumped up and grabbed Ace's arm: "Contact the captain immediately, something terrible has happened! Tesoro is going to attack Uta!"

Ace remembered that Robert had said from the beginning that this matter needed to be discussed with Shanks, and now that Yasopp and Lucky Lucius were both here, he quickly took out a Den Den Mushi and made the call.

A steady, red-haired voice came from the other end: "What's wrong, Ace? Are you in trouble again?"

Before Ace could answer, Yasopp spoke first: "Captain! Something's happened! Lucky Roux and I have been drugged and captured by Tesoro, and they're going to attack Uta!"

Robert sighed and said, "Mr. Shanks, I am Robert. We have just fought against the Knights of God, Maffei Palace and the Holy Knights of Chiringom. They used a teleportation array to take Uta away."

"I'm preparing to storm Mary Geoise and bring her back..."

Shanks' voice was unusually low: "No, do nothing..."

Chapter 37 The Sea-Lying Mistress Forgives the Elderly and Remains Healthy

Redfield, who had been silent all along, laughed: "Redhead, Roger's crew hasn't improved at all after all these years."

Shanks' voice sounded like he was about to burst into tears: "Robert D. Neru, I should have killed you back then, and I don't think it's too late now!"

Robert was stunned. The old man was cursing you, so why is he coming at me?

Redfield laughed even louder: "What? Did I say something wrong? Roger was executed back then, and what did you crew members do? You were all cowards who cowered and hid, but now you're all so arrogant."

"Although Shiki the Golden Lion was a bastard, at least he caused a scene at Marineford to demand an explanation for Roger."

"And I also gave Cyborg Kong a good beating. Roger was captured, and it was us old rivals who risked our lives for him. It's ironic."

"Red-haired Shanks, right? You weren't even qualified to fight when I fought Roger, so it's normal that you don't recognize me."

"My nickname is Lone Red, and your code name is Red Hair. On this sea, one pirate who represents red is enough."

"Robert is my apprentice. If you want to kill him, then I'll wipe out your entire pirate crew!"

"And Uta, she has nothing to do with you now. If you decide to do nothing, we'll go and rescue her. If you dare to stop us, I'll kill you before we even get into Mary Geoise!"

Shanks fell silent for a moment. Indeed, as Redfield said, when he fought Roger, Shanks was just a kid who could only watch from afar.

But the name of Lone Red is known to every veteran pirate. Just look at his bounty: 50 billion Berries, which is on par with Whitebeard, only slightly less than the 55 billion of the Pirate King Roger. Roger's 55 billion only increased because he reached Laugh Tale.

"Senior, Uta is my daughter. I'm more worried than anyone else about her being captured, but there are many untold stories behind it..."

Robert is no longer the pushover he once was. Shanks treated him badly from the very beginning, and Robert isn't stupid; how could he not see that?

Of course, Shanks wasn't targeting him specifically, but rather he looked down on all the other young pirates besides Luffy.

But since he treated him this way, Robert wasn't going to be so eager to please him.

"What inside story? Are you referring to the fact that you're a Celestial Dragon, or that you were once a member of the Knights of God?"

Shanks was so shocked by Robert's words that he couldn't utter a single word. Ace and Sabo, who had already been frightened by Robert's news, couldn't help but gape even though they were mentally prepared.

Being a Celestial Dragon or a member of the Knights of God are vastly different things. People can't choose their own birth. If Shanks was just born into a Celestial Dragon family and was later adopted by Roger, growing into a righteous pirate, the story would be quite inspiring.

But Robert has already made it very clear what joining the Knights of God means: it means that he has embraced his Celestial Dragon identity and has also been controlled by that person named Im.

The Four Emperors of the Sea, one of the four strongest and most powerful pirates, are actually puppets controlled by the World Government. The thought of this is terrifying.

Robert has already given up entirely; since Shanks has directly threatened me with death, why should I give him any face?

“I don’t care whether your return to Mary Geoise was genuine or not, nor do I care what secret plans you and your twin brother Shamrock have. I won’t interfere in your affairs.”

“But now Uta is my partner, and I will go and save her myself, so I hope you won’t interfere in my affairs.”

"Otherwise, I will personally destroy your so-called grand plan and turn this world upside down!"

When Robert mentioned Shamrock, Shanks was genuinely shocked, as he had investigated Robert after his meeting with Whitebeard.

This young man who suddenly appeared on the sea seemed to know many secrets that others did not, and he had no foundation. Whether it was Blackbeard or the Navy, it seemed that either the good or the evil could easily mess with him.

It's a fundamental paradox that someone with little power and no background could have access to the complex secrets of so many powerful forces.

And now that he's revealed these secrets about himself, Shanks is certain that he could never have obtained them through any means, such as his and Shamrock's plans, which no one else knows about except the two of them!

"Robert, do you know that it's because of you that Uta was targeted and taken away by them!"

Robert laughed and said, "You mean if we keep Uta locked up in Aregia for life, the Celestial Dragons won't bother with her?"

Shanks shouted, "Don't you know everything? Do you know how powerful Uta's power will be once it's unleashed? Once she shows herself, the Knights of God won't let such power go!"

Robert declared firmly: "A child holding gold is a devil; a Buddha standing by his side makes even devils saints!"

"A common man is innocent, but he is guilty of possessing a treasure. It is not her fault that Uta is powerful. The Celestial Dragons will not let her go just because she hides away and does not fight with the world."

"Only when we become strong enough to frighten the Celestial Dragons and make them realize that the cost of harming her far outweighs the value gained, will they give up on their own initiative."

Shanks, an illiterate man who grew up on Roger's pirate crew, was no match for Robert, a monster who had received nine years of compulsory education. His attitude softened involuntarily.

“Robert, trust me this once. Don’t do anything. You’ll all die if you go to Mary Geoise now. You have no idea what kind of power is there!”

Robert shrugged: "It's nothing more than the Knights of God, the Five Elders, and a few Zoan-type Mythical Beasts."

"Oh right, and Im!"

Shanks became increasingly alarmed as he listened. There were very few people in the world who could readily reveal the details of the Celestial Dragons' highest combat strength, but it was definitely not Robert, who had only been at sea for a little over a year!

"Who are you?! How could you possibly know about Im?!"

Robert was actually scared too. He made it sound simple, but he wasn't sure he could beat any of these people. But at least he couldn't show weakness in terms of morale.

“Nerona Imsa, one of the original 20, lives among the flowers. She is the de facto ruler of the World Government. She can grant her subordinates immortality through the Triple Contract Mark and can also turn her enemies into demon puppets through Dark Domination. Do I need to say more?”

Shanks quickly replied, "That's enough!"

He didn't know how many people were around Robert, but at least his two crew members, Ace, and Redfield were present. Logically, he should have silenced everyone who revealed this information.

"Robert, believe me, Uta is definitely not in any danger for the time being, I guarantee it! And you must not act rashly, let's meet first!"

Robert dared not face Red Hair now, and sneered:

"There's no need for a meeting. Originally, I had no interest in any great treasures and just wanted to live a relaxed and comfortable life, but neither the Navy nor the World Government are making things easy for me!"

"Isn't there a saying that's always been passed down among pirates? That the Pirate King is the freest person in the world?"

"Then I'd like to give it a try. Roger was so frustrated as the Pirate King. If it were me, would I be able to live a freer life?"

"Now, I officially announce that I will begin collecting the Poneglyphs and join the quest for the One Piece!"

See you at sea!

Chapter 1 Nobody knows negotiation better than me

The conversation with Shanks ended rather unpleasantly, but before Yasopp and Lucky Roux left, they both subtly expressed their support for Robert.

Although they were Red-haired's confidants, they were also family members who had watched Uta grow up.

These key members of the Red-Haired Pirates are like the members of Roger's crew back then; they know their captain's lofty ambitions and therefore can better understand the choices he makes.

Redfield's words about Shanks were unfounded, not only by Shanks and his crew, but even by himself and Robert.

It wasn't that Roger's crew were cowards and did nothing when Roger was executed; rather, they knew that Roger was going to use his death to usher in a new era, so they supported him in their own way.

The current Yasopp and Lucky Roux are the same; they know what Shanks is going to do, so they can better understand why he always thinks about the big picture.

But that doesn’t mean they don’t want to see Uta, whom they consider a daughter, safe and happy. Robert has grown stronger step by step under their watchful eyes, and he is also loyal and righteous. Whether it’s the Whitebeard crew or Uta, he dares to draw his sword against opponents he knows he can’t defeat for their sake.

Caught in the eye of the storm, the two could only silently return to Shanks' side, but mentally support Robert in taking a gamble.

They were all powerful pirates who had been sent by Shanks to secretly protect Uta. They thought the danger would be over once the concert ended.

Unexpectedly, the day after the concert ended, Tezzolo turned on them, using a drug mixed in with different foods and drinks, along with the hypnotic abilities of Chiringom Saint, to lock the two in a dungeon.
