“Me.” Witt gripped his wand tightly, his eyes brightening with a shimmering yellow-green light.

"Who gave you permission to barge into a professor's office?" Snape's steps were as volatile as his mood.

"Give me the resurrection stone."

Witt spoke calmly, as if he were talking about something insignificant.

These simple words instantly broke Snape's composure; his anger overflowed, and his face became almost distorted.

"Get out, now, immediately."

“If I were going to go out, I wouldn’t have come here.” Witt reached out and whispered, “The Resurrection Stone.”

Snape glared at Witt, but a rare look of panic appeared in his eyes.

"Dumbledore knows?"

“Resurrection Stone,” Witt Mechanical repeated.

After a long silence, Snape finally took out the black stone with the image of the Deathly Hallows from his inner pocket.

His eyes were full of reluctance.

"Just as I thought." The moment Victor grasped the resurrection stone, he already understood that this stone could not summon real souls. This genuine one was not as useful as his pirated resurrection stone.

However, some of the elements are the same.

Witt waved the Resurrection Stone lightly, and a red streak of light flew out from the back door of the room and merged into Snape's body.

"Fortunately, it's still early. If it were another six months, even if they were saved, they would be drooling with envy."

"That's not how you use resurrection stones."

Witt gripped the Resurrection Stone, chanted a spell, and forcibly communicated with the underworld using this so-called genuine item.

The magic vanished like flowing water, and an incredibly illusory door slowly opened before Snape's eyes, revealing the figure he had longed for.

"Harry!" Lily called out Harry's name urgently the moment she regained consciousness.

At first glance, Snape was certain that this was the real Lily.

He instinctively reached out to touch the other person through the door, but before he could get close, the door suddenly disappeared.

"Do not."

Snape turned around abruptly and found Witt slumped over the table, panting like a dog.

"I can't go on." Witt felt that he could barely stand up, and his magic power was so depleted that even a mouse would shed tears at the sight of him.

"Don't look at me." Witt slumped on the table and said weakly, "Mr. Slytherin didn't say this thing consumes so much mana. I think even if Dumbledore came, he probably could only last three seconds."

"Yes, four seconds at most, no more than that."

"What do you mean? You weren't sent by Dumbledore?" Snape looked at Witt with suspicion.

"Professor Dumbledore wouldn't send a student like me to handle such an important matter."

Without batting an eye, Witt lied, "I came to find you because of what Draco told me. He said there was a woman in your room and a black stone with strange patterns on it."

"I immediately realized that it was a resurrection stone, so I ran over to find you."

"How do you know about the Resurrection Stone?" Snape asked, his voice filled with doubt and suspicion.

“Because I found the Chamber of Secrets left by Slytherin, I became the current successor of Slytherin.” Witt sat up straight and said with an arrogant look, “The Resurrection Stone is a family heirloom of the Gauntlet family, and Slytherin can be considered half a Gauntlet.”

"He also studied the resurrection stone. How do you think I know that?"

“When I heard Draco’s words, I knew you were using the wrong method; it would only bring death.”

"In order to save you, I deliberately put on an act and successfully scared you, so that I could get the resurrection stone and remove the magic from your body."

"Honestly, if you were to actually fight me over a phantom, I can't guarantee I could win this time."

Witt's explanation was so logical and well-founded that Snape couldn't find any flaws and had no choice but to believe it for the time being.

Chapter 101 Yes, I am the successor of Slytherin.

"Since you're alright, I'll be going now."

Witt casually tossed the resurrection stone back to Snape. This thing was utterly useless, a classic example of genuine junk.

"and many more."

Snape blocked Witt's path and said, enunciating each word clearly, "Tell me, how can I summon a true ghost?"

“It’s no use for you to learn it,” Victor said bluntly. “With your meager magic, it would be a miracle if you could last even a second.”

"In just one second, that girl probably didn't even have time to make a sound before you were done for."

"What's the point of all this? Just for your own desires, you're waking people up from their sleep?"

Snape's face instantly turned from pale to ashen. Witt's words were not only poisonous but also twisted, making him feel an urge to use the Crucifixion Curse to send Witt flying.

Tell me, please.

Snape had already said "please" twice, and Witt felt that if he didn't bring something out soon, he might not be able to leave this room today.

"Alright, I'll start writing now... Professor Dumbledore, what brings you here too?"

Just as Witt was about to pick up his pen, he saw Dumbledore standing in the doorway, with Draco peeking out from behind him, looking at Witt with concern.

Clearly, he told Dumbledore about it because he was worried about Witt's safety.

No, Draco, haven't you always considered yourself a pure-blood nobleman and mocked Dumbledore as a crazy old man?

How come the crazy old man suddenly becomes the great Professor Dumbledore when something happens?

Considering that Draco cared about him, Witt decided to let him off this time.

“Professor Dumbledore,” Witt asked in a low voice, “when did you arrive?”

Dumbledore said gently, "From the moment you said you were a descendant of Slytherin."

"I'm curious why you wanted to find the Chamber of Secrets in Slytherin, how you found it, and how you used the Resurrection Stone to summon real dead souls."

Dumbledore spoke comprehensively and solemnly, but only briefly mentioned the last sentence.

If someone unaware of the situation were here, they might really think that the summoning of the dead was just a side effect.

“You know I’m an orphan, so I need to know who my parents or bloodline are, right? Snake eyes, snake language, snake pupils.” Witt said, feigning annoyance, “As I was investigating, I suddenly realized that it’s probably better not to have parents.”

Clearly, both Dumbledore and Snape understood what Witt said.

Although they had their doubts, Witt's directness still shocked them greatly.

Witt didn't mind and continued, "Since my parents aren't doing so well, I'd like to try looking further up the chain of command."

"It turns out that my grandfather was also trash, and my great-grandfather was trash too."

"The information becomes very scarce further up the chain, so I cannot make a judgment."

"In the end, I decided to be straightforward and do it all at once. Surely Slytherin can't have any problems, right?"

"So I began my search for the Chamber of Secrets in Slytherin."

"During that time, I looked up some information and found that the secret room had been opened fifty years ago, and someone died at that time."

"That's quite strange. Although I don't like that legend, to be honest, according to the rumors in the secret chamber, that monster should kill all those who are not worthy of learning magic. How could it stop after one person dies?"

This is clearly unreasonable.

"Then the answer is clear: the person who opened the secret room did not want to kill everyone, and the student who died was very likely an accident."

"Since it was an accidental death, it means that neither party was prepared."

"In other words, the student's death likely occurred near the entrance to the secret room."

"It only took me a little time, but I found the secret room very easily."

Witt spread his hands, looking as if he could handle it with his own hands.

"In the secret room, I found many notes that were preserved by magic, as well as that legendary monster, a huge basilisk."

"What did you say?" Snape's tone suddenly became urgent.

“The Basilisk.” Witt glanced at Snape strangely. Dumbledore wasn’t even excited about the Basilisk, so why was Witt getting all worked up?

“That’s fantastic.” Snape couldn’t help but clench his fists.

"The Slytherin era was more than a thousand years ago, which means that the basilisk has lived for at least a thousand years."

"Ah." Dumbledore and Witt turned their heads at the same time, both wondering if there was something wrong with their hearing.

“A thousand-year-old basilisk,” Snape said excitedly. “A thousand-year-old basilisk, you know? Imagine how much magic it can accumulate over a thousand years. If we could capture it, control it with magic, and command it to power the Resurrection Stone.”

"Wouldn't that solve the problem of the resurrection stone consuming too much magic power?"

Snape felt his mind was sharper than ever in his desire to see Lily again.

Upon hearing this, Dumbledore couldn't help but feel a slight urge to join in.

Unlike other creatures, the basilisk is born with powerful magic and has almost no upper limit to its growth. Its magic increases with each molt. The magic power of this thousand-year-old basilisk may far exceed their imagination.

Using it to activate the resurrection stone might actually be feasible.

This works too!

Holy crap, even Witt was stunned. Professor Snape, you're a genius!

Using a thousand-year-old snake monster as a power bank, that's something else.

It's a pity that without the aptitude to communicate with the underworld, all the magic power is useless.

Even if Witt wrote down how to use the Resurrection Stone, Snape would never learn it.

Otherwise, he might actually have succeeded.

“So you mean, capturing this basilisk alive? That’s a huge undertaking,” Witt whispered. “Although the Parseltongue can control the creature, I’m not sure if it will still obey when faced with mortal danger.”

"Moreover, the Imperishable Curse is not very effective against magical creatures with powerful magic."

If the Imperishable Curse could work on magical creatures like dragons, then there would be no need for dragon tamers, and Gringotts wouldn't need the Tinker Bell.

The higher the magic resistance, the weaker the magic, even the Killing Curse.

A killing curse that can kill a human may not necessarily kill a dragon, because the curse is not strong enough.
