“There’s no why, just do it.” Rowena jumped off Neville’s head, grabbed his shoulder, and whispered in his ear.

This way, she can ensure that only Neville can hear her when she speaks.

On the first day of school, the students, who had been away for a summer vacation, were quite excited, and everyone was telling each other about what they had experienced during the holiday.

It contains both true stories and artistic embellishments.

“Neville, you have a new pet? Where’s your Rafer?” Ron reached out to greet Neville.

“Lever has disappeared again,” Neville said, somewhat annoyed. “I don’t understand why it always likes to run away.”

“And she’s not my pet, she’s…” Neville paused for a moment before whispering, “She’s my friend.”

As he spoke, Neville stole a glance at Rowena, his eyes filled with timidity and worry.

He was a little worried that Rowena would think that someone as stupid as him didn't deserve to be her friend.

"What kind of look is that?" Rowena swallowed the meat in her mouth and said in a voice that only Neville could hear, "You've already said it, are you trying to take it back? Although I don't really like idiots, I might make an exception for you this time."

"Hurry up and cut the meat, I'm hungry."

Rowena's words brought a smile to Neville's face, and he quickened his pace in cutting the meat.

"My name is Neville. What's your name?"

"Royna, Royna the Eagle." After eating two more pieces of meat, Royna was full and squatted on Neville's shoulder, looking around at her surroundings.

“Friends?” Ron glanced at Neville strangely and whispered, “Aren’t we friends? Why would you be friends with a chicken?”

Rowena, who was observing her surroundings, suddenly turned her head and glared fiercely at Ron.

Ron was startled by the fierce look in the eyes and muttered weakly, "What a fierce chicken."

“Royna is an eagle, a majestic eagle.” Neville tried to remind Ron, but it was clearly too late.

Rowena's eyes narrowed, and the chicken leg in Ron's hand turned into a hard rock. Unaware of what was happening, Ron bit into it and bumped his front tooth.

"Ouch, my teeth, my teeth!" Ron cried out in pain, clutching his mouth.

Harry watched Ron's misfortune with a face full of schadenfreude, showing no sympathy whatsoever.

Ron's toughest feature was his mouth.

Seeing his mouth get smacked, Harry just wanted to laugh.

"You annoying, brainless idiot." After giving him a minor punishment, Rowena stopped paying attention to Ron.

But Ron kept groaning in pain, and Hermione couldn't bear to listen to him anymore.

"Keep your voice down." Hermione gave him a light tap and whispered, "Don't disturb me while I'm reading."

Hermione had Lockhart's "Wandering with the Werewolf" in front of her, and she was reading it with great interest, her eyes shining, as if she were a character in the story.

Was there no one to sympathize with him? Ron felt betrayed and isolated.

"You just eat like this?" Rowena pecked Neville's ear.

"I ate some vegetables?" Neville picked up a piece of sausage, not understanding Rowena's meaning.

“That’s not what I meant. I meant, when you eat, do you just eat?” Rowena pointed at Hermione and said, “Shouldn’t you be taking out your textbooks and using your time to enrich your mind with knowledge?”

“But I can’t understand those books, and,” Neville said sadly, “even if I could understand them, I couldn’t remember them; my memory is always terrible.”

“Drink the pumpkin juice you have,” Rowena whispered.

Neville obediently picked up the pumpkin juice and drank it all in one gulp.

"Did you finish it?"

“I drank it all,” Neville answered honestly.

“What’s that on the glass?” Rowena said seriously. “Add water, continue.”

"Oh."

Neville obediently did as he was told.

After adding water three times, when Neville really couldn't drink anymore, Rowena pointed to the glass of pumpkin juice, where there were still some pumpkin bits left.

"Even if you have a terrible memory, the knowledge in your mind can't possibly be cleaner than the cups after being rinsed with these three cups of water. Simply diluting with water won't clean the cup, just as you can't forget all the knowledge you've learned simply by forgetting."

"Some residue will always remain."

"It is precisely because you are prone to forgetting that you should work even harder, understand?"

"Understood." Neville nodded weakly.

"Then hurry up and take the book out," Rowena urged impatiently.

“But I didn’t have class this morning, so I didn’t bring my books.” Neville’s voice was as soft and weak as could be.

Rowena...

How could a student go out without bringing books?

This mission is so difficult! Rowena feels like she might turn from an eagle into a vulture after completing it.

"Never mind, you eat first, then you can get the book."

Rowena's disappointed tone made Neville's voice even weaker. He whispered, "I've already had enough to drink."

The cups used at Hogwarts are quite large; one cup of pumpkin juice plus three cups of water is enough to fill you up.

She's so frustrated right now, she really wants to tear something apart.

On the other side of the auditorium, Witt had no idea how much pain Rowena was in. He quickly finished his breakfast, wiped his mouth, and headed straight for the principal's office.

"Professor, Professor Dumbledore."

Witt stood at the top of the stairs and shouted, and then he heard Dumbledore's voice.

"Sizzling honey candy".

The staircase turned downwards, while Vittoria quickly ascended.

“Mr. Sorting Hat,” Witt asked bluntly, “do you know where the Gryffindor sword is right now?”

“Virt Boots.” The Sorting Hat came to life from its inanimate state and said, “I really liked that song you sang yesterday. What’s it called?”

“The Hedway Variations.” Witt answered the question quickly, then whispered a reminder: “Sir, the Gryffindor Sword.”

“A beautiful name.” The Sorting Hat smacked its lips for a moment, then replied slowly, “I’m sorry, I don’t know where that sword is now.”

"You should know that the previous holder of the Gryffindor sword could take it anywhere, and no one knows where it is until it receives a new summons."

"It might be in some creature's nest, or a swampy depression, or it might have been taken into a tomb."

"It could happen anywhere."

The Sorting Hat's words made Witt lower his head in disappointment. Although he had expected it, he still felt disappointed when he actually heard the answer.

"If I could find a real Gryffindor, could you help me summon the sword?"

"Of course, no problem," the Sorting Hat readily agreed.

"But if you want me to help you, you have to lend me that music box for a while. I need to write lyrics specifically for that Hedway Variations. I have a feeling it will be the best lyrics I've written in the last thousand years."

Even the best lyrics won't sound good when sung with that raspy voice.

Although Witt was inwardly complaining, he remained outwardly respectful and obediently took out the music box and placed it on the table in front of Dumbledore.

"Feel free to ask if you need it."

"Hydway Variations?" Dumbledore, who had been quietly eating candy nearby, picked up Werther's music box, observed it for a while, and couldn't help but ask, "Why Hydway?"

Dumbledore vaguely remembered that Harry's owl was also named Hedway.

“I don’t know, I didn’t write this song,” Witt said frankly. “I just paid a Muggle musician to write a song about magic for me.”

"As for why it's called that, I'm not really sure."

"All I know is that he was willing to give me a 20% discount because of this name."

Witt knew himself very well. He didn't have much artistic talent, and it would be easy to expose his mistake if he insisted that he wrote it directly. Anyway, as long as the song sounded good, that was enough.

The origin of the name is not important.

"A magical song composed by a Muggle." Dumbledore opened the music box, and the mysterious and dreamlike melody began to play again. He couldn't help but close his eyes and listen.

"This is truly beyond imagination."

Besides sweets, music was Dumbledore's second greatest passion. No matter how many times he listened to it, he couldn't imagine how a Muggle could create such a magical song.

But Vittor had no reason to lie to him about this, which means the song really was written by a Muggle.

“It’s a truly magical piece of music,” Dumbledore said with a hint of regret. “I’ve received quite a few letters wanting to adopt this song as the Hogwarts school song.”

"But if this song was written by a Muggle, it would probably be difficult for it to pass the final resolution."

“I don’t think this is my loss,” Witt said nonchalantly. “Professor Dumbledore, you once said that love has magic, and so does music.”

If even the Hyde Variations can't pass the resolution, then it can only be said that the current magical world is not worthy of it.

Dumbledore quickly came to his senses. He had indeed been somewhat depressed lately because he had too many things to think about, and had even overlooked such a simple question.

“You’re right, Witt. Music has magic. This song will definitely become the Hogwarts school song.”

“It’s up to you.” Witt waved goodbye and said, “Goodbye, Professor Dumbledore.”

Having confirmed what he wanted, Witt naturally saw no need to stay in the principal's office any longer.

As he descended the spiral staircase, Witt saw Snape walking towards him and greeted him politely.

"Good morning, Professor Snape."

"Good morning," Snape replied casually, passing by Witt like the wind.

???

Witt could hardly believe his ears. When did Snape start saying good morning to people?

The fact that he doesn't give you a hard time is already the greatest respect he can show you.

I hope I'm not dealing with a fake Snape.
