Witt instinctively used his armor to protect himself, and then immediately retaliated with a Petrify Strike.
Snape deflected Witt's petrification spell with his wand, his eyes filled with displeasure.
You actually dared to fight back against the professor.
Witt isn't a Slytherin, so he'll definitely deduct points from his opponent's score.
Snape immediately gave him a disdainful look in response to Snape's actions. You didn't say a word before you ambushed me with magic. Why couldn't I fight back?
"come out."
Snape waved his wand, summoning a dueling platform, and stepped onto it.
All the students in the class looked on expectantly and took the initiative to move their chairs to make room for Victor.
Witt looked at Snape, who was already standing on the dueling platform, and said somewhat speechlessly, "Professor, isn't this a bit unnecessary?"
It was just an instinctive retaliatory strike; was it really necessary to make such a big fuss?
Snape didn't say anything, he just stood there quietly.
With no other option, Witt had to go up.
"I'm from Slytherin, so you'd better go easy on me."
Witt tried to appeal to the other's nostalgia, but Snape wasn't Lockhart, and Witt didn't have much confidence in a real fight.
Snape completely ignored Witt's show of weakness; news of Lockhart's miserable state yesterday had already spread throughout the entire school.
Go easy on me, or you'll end up sending me to the hospital?
"Bowing in greeting."
After Snape finished speaking, he gracefully performed a dueling salute to Witt. The two of them turned around and took three steps before suddenly turning back to launch their attack.
He collapsed to the ground, unconscious.
"All of them will be petrified."
The two spells crossed in the air, and Snape and Witt simultaneously waved their wands to deflect the spells, and the two sides launched a rapid attack.
After three rounds of back-and-forth exchanges, Witte gradually fell into a disadvantageous position.
Snape's attacks were too sophisticated; Witt couldn't keep up with his pace.
If things continued like this, they would lose. Witt's eyes flickered, and he decided not to compete with Snape in experience anymore. He would instead accumulate magic power and decide the outcome with one move.
Overcome skill with force.
Thinking of this, Witt dodged a few attacks and began to silently chant a spell in his mind.
Snape instantly sensed the change in the battle rhythm. After two quick attacks, just as the Wirt spell was about to be completed, he shouted.
"Avoid your weapons."
The wand flew out, the magic returned to its original state, and Witt felt as if he had been punched hard in the chest, feeling so uncomfortable that he wanted to vomit blood.
Instinctively, Witt's eyes began to light up.
The chaotic magic within him was swallowed up by Witt's eyes, and half the students in the classroom, including Snape, were frozen in place.
Snape's outstretched hand could no longer catch the wand, and it fell to the ground with a crisp thud.
Witt (●—●)
“Professor,” Witt picked up his wand, dispelled the spell on Snape, and whispered, “I’ll count this as a win.”
Snape had a dark, sour face and didn't want to say a word.
The instant his wand flew out, Witt had already planned what he was going to say, using the actual battle as a starting point to personally explain to Harry the importance of dispelling the spell on your weapon.
However, Witt didn't play by the rules at all. His bloodline magic was too fast and too powerful. Snape didn't have time to react and was frozen in place.
When he woke up, he saw Witt using his wand to break the spell on him.
Snape knew he had lost.
Those who lose have no right to talk about practical training.
"Now, everyone, pair up."
Snape pretended not to hear Witt's words and said coldly, "Use your weapon to seize the other's wand."
After giving the order, Snape waved his wand, intending to break the spell on those who were bound by Vygot.
After two attempts, the students underground remained motionless.
Snape's face darkened even more. Helpless, he could only turn around and speak to Witt.
"Virt, go and lift the spell on those students."
"Oh."
......
When get out of class ended, Snape was the first to leave the classroom; he felt too ashamed to stay any longer.
This class is impossible to teach. It's one thing for the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor to be defeated by his students, but he can't even break Wirt's petrification spell.
He went all in and completely lost face.
He couldn't continue teaching and wanted to resign from his position as Professor McGonagall.
"Williams, you're amazing!" Seamus cheered excitedly the moment Snape walked out of the classroom, though heaven knows how hard he had been trying to hold back his laughter.
With Simo's cheers, the classroom instantly erupted into a frenzy of noise.
"Witt! Witt! Witt!"
***
"Witt!!!"
McGonagall roared, almost screaming, "What have you done now?"
"Snape handed me his resignation in the afternoon, and it took me more than an hour of persuasion to convince him to continue teaching."
"How would I know?" Witt said, sounding aggrieved.
Snape challenged him to a duel out of nowhere, and if he lost, he would have to resign. Wasn't that cheating?
He's innocent.
Keep making things up, McGonagall simply can't believe Witt's words anymore.
She believes it's an accident if one professor was an accident, but if both professors were accidents, even a pig wouldn't believe it.
“You can ask the other students.” McGonagall’s distrustful look made Witt feel insulted, and he solemnly swore, “I am willing to take truth serum to prove my innocence.”
Truth serum?
“No, no,” McGonagall quickly interrupted Witt, saying, “I believe you.”
With truth serum on display and Witt so confident, McGonagall couldn't help but believe him.
She couldn't really make Victor drink truth serum, could she?
But what about Snape?
McGonagall fell into deep thought. Could it be that Witt and the Defense Against the Dark Arts class were incompatible? But Quirrell had been teaching perfectly well all last year... Quirrell apparently died in the end.
Quirrell is the first Defense Against the Dark Arts professor to die in the last decade.
Most of the other professors were only injured or suffered some accidents; very few professors died.
If every Defense Against the Dark Arts professor they hire dies every year, how can anyone possibly be willing to teach at Hogwarts?
Thinking about this, McGonagall felt that wizards still had to believe in superstitions, so she changed the subject.
"Professor Dumbledore said you're planning to cultivate a herb garden by the Black Lake. I'm giving you a week off to focus on this. Professor Sprout happens to be available this afternoon; you can go to her for advice on herbalism."
Witt sensed something strange about McGonagall's gaze, but he couldn't quite put his finger on it, so he could only nod in agreement.
“Yes, Professor McGonagall.”
Leaving McGonagall's office, Witt headed straight for the greenhouse where Professor Sprout often stayed.
“Professor.” Witt knocked softly on the door.
"Come in quickly." Sprout opened the door and warmly invited Witt inside, even using magic to pour him a cup of tea.
“I heard your proposal from Dumbledore. No student has ever come up with such a brilliant idea. What do you intend to plant there?”
Sprout's amiable tone carried a hint of eagerness; if Witte succeeded, it would open up new possibilities for herbalism.
It was a new possibility for both her and Hogwarts.
“I was just about to ask you for advice,” Witt said humbly. “Initially, I plan to build some simple greenhouses using bamboo and this transparent plastic from Muggles.”
Witt used magic to conjure a sample, handed it to Professor Sprout, and asked him a question.
"I would like to ask which magical plants are relatively easy to grow, will not damage the main structure of the greenhouse, and can still fetch a good price."
"To be honest, the white dandelion I planted before couldn't fetch a good price in the magical world. After working hard for half a year, I ended up earning less money than I would have earned working odd jobs at a candy store."
"Even so, I have to thank you for the excellent quality of the seeds you provided. If it were those inferior seeds on the market, I would probably have lost money."
As the most commonly used, most common, and easiest to grow magical plant in the magical world, White Dictamnus naturally doesn't fetch a very high price.
If it weren't for grinding achievements, Vittoria would be better off just going out to work.
Sprout carefully examined the plastic film that Witt handed over and said thoughtfully, "This material cannot defend against the daily activities of spiky magical plants. Plants like poison tentacles, poison fang geraniums, and biting cabbages cannot be grown."
“Mandragora is fine, but it is not easy to cultivate.”
"In the initial stage, I suggest you try focusing on planting Bapau tubers and young Devil's Web."
“A small amount of mandrake can be cultivated to accumulate experience.”
Sprout winked slyly and whispered, "The sap from the Babo tuber is incredibly effective at treating acne. Once the plant is mature, you can sell it directly at Hogwarts, or have Professor Dumbledore buy it all up."
"It's much more expensive than selling it to those potion buyers outside."
“The tentacles of the young Devil Web are soft and harmless, making them an excellent material for crafting wizard robes. You can contact Professor McGonagall; she has connections in this area. As long as the quality is good, she can buy it at the standard price even if the quantity is small.”
"And mandrakes, if you really can't grow them well, I can buy them and use them as teaching materials for my students."
In just a few words, Sprout had considered all of Witt's escape routes; he was incredibly thoughtful.
