Jimmy responded with "uh-huh" and "yeah," thinking that if he built a good relationship with Hermione now, she might be able to help him abuse his power for personal gain when Hermione became Minister of Magic!

The digestion process took about ten minutes. Once everyone had finished eating, the sound of spoons tapping against metal wine glasses came from the professor's long table.

The hall fell silent as the students all turned to look at Dumbledore, who had stood up.

"Attention first-year students: No students are allowed to enter the wooded area next to the school grounds. Some of our teachers should also remember this."

Dumbledore's crescent-shaped eyes looked toward the Gryffindor table, and more specifically, toward George and Fred.

"Furthermore, Mr. Filch, the administrator, also asked me to remind everyone not to cast spells in the hallways during breaks. The Quidditch player selection process will take place in the second week of this semester. Anyone interested in joining the college team should contact Ms. Hodge."

Finally, I must tell everyone that anyone who does not wish to encounter an accident or suffer a painful death should not enter the right-hand corridor on the fourth floor.

Harry, who didn't know Dumbledore yet, thought it was a joke, but after laughing, he realized that no one else at the table had laughed.

"Let's sing the school song together before everyone goes to bed!"

Chapter 16 Good morning, Hogwarts

The school song was like a demonic melody, and the whole auditorium was in chaos because there was no unified tune. Basically, everyone was singing their own version or just reading the lyrics out loud.

Jimmy's ears have been ravaged by these sounds. If he has to sing them every year, he'll have to learn magic to make people unable to hear him as soon as possible and seal his ears!

Fortunately, the school song segment didn't last long. After Dumbledore announced that everyone could leave, the professors left through a small door on the side of the Great Hall, while the upperclassmen left first.

After the senior students dispersed, the class leaders from each college led the freshmen to their respective dormitories in a line.

They climbed the marble staircase and walked uphill. Percy and the new students were explaining the ever-changing staircases beneath their feet. No one could predict when these automatically changing staircases would change, and some steps had to be jumped over. Even with markers, they were hard to spot.

“Don’t worry if you accidentally fall,” Percy said, as if making a joke. “Mrs. Pomfrey is a wonderful doctor!”

The joke was so lame that nobody laughed except Percy himself.

Jimmy kept drawing maps in his notebook to avoid forgetting his route to class.

Gryffindor's common room is in the North Tower, but the entrance is on the seventh floor of the castle, and the endless staircase left the group of young wizards, who had just finished eating, looking tired.

The crowd suddenly stopped because Peeves was blocking their way. Percy only managed to get through safely by threatening Barrow the Blood Man.

As Jimmy passed Peeves, he felt a jolt in his head. It wasn't because he had any superhuman blood, but rather because his materialistic worldview was beating up his brain, reminding him that he couldn't understand magic in a physical way.

Finally, they arrived at the end of a corridor on the seventh floor, where a huge portrait hung on the wall. The portrait depicted a plump woman wearing a pink court dress.

Percy gave the password, "Dragon Scum".

The plump lady smiled and opened the door, and the students filed in.

Percy explained to the new students how to enter the Gryffindor common room, then showed them the dormitory assignments on the bulletin board, as well as the basic rule that boys are not allowed to enter the girls' dormitories.

Seeing that the freshmen were indeed tired, Percy announced the disbandment of the group.

Jimmy went to the notice board and saw his name; it was for room 102.

"Jimmy, we're in the same dorm!" Harry, who had walked up to Jimmy, saw his name and said happily.

Ron, Seamus, and Neville also gathered around; they were roommates.

"Okay, let's hurry upstairs, I'm so sleepy I could fall asleep any minute." Knowing where the dorm was, Jimmy yawned and went upstairs, and the others followed excitedly.

They rushed into the dormitory, only to be frightened back by a raccoon in the middle of the room with glowing green eyes.

Squeezing into the dorm, Jimmy was surprised to see Rocket there. He explained, "This is my pet. His name is Rocket, and he's usually very quiet."

He had expected Rocket to find a place to stay, but he never imagined that Rocket would run into the dormitory that very night, with a plate of meat and vegetables in front of it.

This made him suspicious of the rocket's identity. Could it be...?

Jimmy glanced discreetly at the smudges in Ron's pocket, knowing he needed to consult Professor McGonagall.

But let's go to sleep first. We've been sleeping with the Rockets for over a year now, one more night won't make a difference.

……

There are details in the dormitory that were not shown in the movie, such as the private washroom, which is located on the left side of the entrance, with a small door.

Inside the door is a spacious white area with several individual shower stalls, so there's no need to queue.

Jimmy was very satisfied with this.

After washing up, Jimmy lay down on the bed with his name tag on it. The others were just as tired, and they fell asleep after exchanging only a few more words.

……

Jimmy rarely dreams, but he still had a dream on the soft velvet bed at Hogwarts. In the dream, he had grown into a tall, healthy man.

He sat in an ornate armchair, dressed in a black tuxedo, legs crossed, teasing a raccoon in his hand, while a figure lay prostrate in front of him.

The figure seemed to be speaking, and then Jimmy casually looked at him and said, "What did I do to make you so disrespectful to me?"

When the person looked up, he suddenly transformed into a huge raccoon and pounced on Jimmy, startling him so much that he jumped out of bed.

This dream was terrible!

Rocket had somehow ended up sleeping at the foot of the bed, which made Jimmy a little scared. He glanced at the clock hanging on the dormitory wall, which had just pointed to the number 6.

Class starts at 9 a.m., so he can take a nap.

However, Jimmy couldn't fall asleep after lying in bed for a while, so he simply got up, put on his clothes, and left the dormitory. The common room was still empty; the little lions were quite proactive when it came to sleeping.

In order to have a better body and grow taller in a shorter time, I need to get up early to exercise from now on!

Jimmy has made countless bold statements. He may have wavered in the past, but not now, because he is still very young and there is still time for everything!

As you descend the complex staircase from the tower, the portraits on the walls all seem to be asleep, making it feel as if Jimmy is the only person in the entire castle.

Jimmy was enjoying the peaceful and tranquil environment. He arrived at the entrance hall of Hogwarts and was about to shout "Good morning, Hogwarts!" to express his inexplicably rekindled chuunibyou spirit when he suddenly saw a disheveled, toothless old man staring intently at him.

"what!"

The words that were about to come out turned into a scream. Jimmy clutched his pounding heart and stared at the castle caretaker standing in the corner of the hall.

Filch seemed pleased that he had scared a little wizard, a grotesque smile creeping across his face as he walked away with the cat at his feet, his eyes still fixed on Jimmy.

After all, it's not curfew time now, and he can't control the little wizard getting up a little earlier in the morning, so he can only satisfy his perverse pleasure in this way.

The encounter that morning was just a brief interlude; Jimmy quickly put the unpleasantness behind him and ran to the Black Lake, where a light mist was rising in the early morning, to do bodyweight exercises such as push-ups.

After finishing, I jogged back to Hogwarts Castle and climbed the stairs to the seventh floor. That amount of exercise was enough.

When the yawning, plump lady opened the door to the common room, Jimmy was surprised to see someone on the sofa facing the fireplace.

Hermione, who was sitting on the sofa reading a book, didn't expect anyone to be up earlier than her. When she saw it was Jimmy, she stood up and said in surprise, "Good morning, Jimmy. Were you also too excited to sleep?"

"Good morning, Hermione." Without stopping, Jimmy replied to Hermione, "I slept well, I just wanted to exercise a bit when I got up in the morning. I need to go back to my dorm to change. See you later."

"Okay, see you later." Hermione sat back down on the sofa.

Chapter 17 An Encounter with Quirrell

When Harry returned to the dormitory, he was already awake, but he was lying on the bed with his eyes half open. He looked up when he was attracted by the sound of the door opening.

Harry was surprised to see Jimmy. He looked at the bulging blanket on the next bed, then at Jimmy, and asked, "Jimmy? You went out. Who's in that bed?"

"I just went out to exercise. The one on the bed should be Rocket." When Jimmy went to his closet to get his clothes, he casually lifted the blanket and saw Rocket sleeping soundly with his belly up.

Seeing Rocket sleeping so soundly, Harry also felt sleepy and lay back down on the bed. "That's good, I need to sleep a little longer."

He also wanted Jimmy's energy, but right now he was sealed off by his bed...

"Class starts at nine in the morning, so it's best to get up at eight so you can still make it to breakfast," Jimmy casually reminded Harry, grabbing a change of clothes and heading into the washroom.

When Harry finished washing up and came out of the bathroom, he fell asleep again. The people on the other beds showed no signs of waking up at all; they were sleeping like logs.

There was also a real pig.

Jimmy changed into a long robe, dragged Rocket under the bed to lie down, and then, satisfied, picked up his book bag and walked down from the dormitory.

Hermione remained in her spot reading, but out of politeness and a desire to build a good relationship, Jimmy extended an invitation to the future minister, "Would you like to go to the Great Hall together? I think breakfast should be served there."

“Okay!” Hermione readily closed the heavy book in her hands, as if she had been waiting for this sentence from the beginning.

Jimmy saw Hermione carry a stack of books out of his sight, holding them like treasures before coming to his side.

The little witch's enthusiasm for learning instilled a sense of instinctive awe in Jimmy, who shrank back somewhat guiltily. However, upon seeing the golden book in his mind, he immediately straightened his chest and felt triumphant.

My cheat wasn't necessarily a bad thing!

"Have you looked at the schedule?" Hermione asked, trying to find a topic to chat about, but in this unfamiliar environment, it was difficult for her to stray from the familiar topic of her studies. "We only have one class this morning, Professor McGonagall's Transfiguration class. I've been looking forward to it since last night. Percy said that in the first class, Professor McGonagall will have us turn a match into a needle."

“That should be pretty simple. I’ve tried turning my pen into a stick,” Jimmy said, recounting his experience trying the Transfiguration Charm at the Leaky Cauldron.

The little witch opened her mouth slightly in surprise, not because Jimmy had successfully cast the Transfiguration spell, but because Jimmy was so bold!

"You didn't perform Transfiguration without the professor present, did you? You can't do that! The beginner's guide to Transfiguration says it's the most dangerous subject. If you mispronounce a single word, there could be serious consequences! You could get hurt!"

Hermione initially thought Jimmy was a good student, but she never expected him to secretly try Transfiguration by himself, something she wouldn't even dare to do!

“Who can resist the curiosity about magic?” Jimmy’s demeanor was quite calm, and his casual question left Hermione speechless. “Haven’t you tried magic at home?”

Hermione blushed slightly, but immediately replied confidently, "But I didn't try Transfiguration because the books say it's dangerous."

"Okay, I won't do it again next time." If his approach didn't work, Jimmy readily admitted his mistake; being able to be flexible and adaptable is the mark of a good husband.

The unexpected situation that had occurred earlier left him no time to think about his conversation with Hermione.

A faint smell of garlic assaulted their nostrils. At the staircase leading from the fourth to the third floor of the castle, a man wrapped in a huge purple turban was pacing back and forth.

When the man saw the two young wizards approaching, he took a step back as if he had been startled, then put on a effeminate smile like a wronged little wife and said, "Good morning."

The person Jimmy least wanted to run into at this school was Quirrell, because Voldemort was behind him. This kind of hero-versus-dragon game was better left to the savior Harry!

Maybe he can help out once he reaches the maximum level, but for now, as a minor character, he shouldn't even think about it.

The moment Jimmy saw Professor Quirrell, he started having his mind racing with thoughts of how to make money and what it would be like to make a lot of money, because he remembered that Voldemort was also a master of Legilimency.

"Good morning, Professor Quirrell," Hermione greeted him, behaving like a well-behaved student.

Quirrell nodded in response, then looked at Jimmy, who was standing to the side with a blank stare. Jimmy, mimicking Hermione, said good morning.

The two passed each other by. Quirrell watched Jimmy and Hermione go downstairs, then lingered for a moment before leaving via another staircase.

……

Jimmy finally breathed a sigh of relief, having gotten away from that wretched Kelowne.
